2Coaxial electrospinning core-shell fibers for self-healing scratch on coatings显示文摘Polystyrene(PS) fibers with core-shell structures were fabricated by coaxial electrostatic spinning,[10_TD$IF]in which there are liquid epoxy or curing agent as the core and PS as the shell. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectra and optical microscope were utilized for charactering the morphology and composition of the fibers. 3Transient heat conduction analysis using the NURBS-enhanced scaled boundary finite element method and modified precise integration method显示文摘The Non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS)enhanced scaled boundary finite element method in combination with the modified precise integration method is proposed for the transient heat conduction problems in this paper.The scaled boundary finite element method is a semi-analytical technique,which weakens the governing differential equations along the circumferential direction and solves those analytically in the radial direction.In this method,only the boundary is discretized in the finite element sense leading to a reduction of the spatial dimension by one with no fundamental solution required.Nevertheless,in case of the complex geometry,a huge number of elements are generally required to properly approximate the exact shape of the domain and distorted meshes are often unavoidable in the conventional finite element approach,which leads to huge computational efforts and loss of accuracy.NURBS are the most popular mathematical tool in CAD industry due to its flexibility to fit any free-form shape.In the proposed methodology,the arbitrary curved boundary of problem domain is exactly represented with NURBS basis functions,while the straight part of the boundary is discretized by the conventional Lagrange shape functions.Both the concepts of isogeometric analysis and scaled boundary finite element method are combined to form the governing equations of transient heat conduction analysis and the solution is obtained using the modified precise integration method.The stiffness matrix is obtained from a standard quadratic eigenvalue problem and the mass matrix is determined from the low-frequency expansion.Finally the governing equations become a system of first-order ordinary differential equations and the time domain response is solved numerically by the modified precise integration method.The accuracy and stability of the proposed method to deal with the transient heat conduction problems are demonstrated by numerical examples.Gao Lin Peng Li Jun Liu Pengchong Zhang 2017Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2017,30,5:2
4Untangling the influence of soil moisture on root pullout property of alfafa plant显示文摘Root pullout property of plants was of key importance to the soil reinforcement and the improvement of slope stability. To investigate the influence of soil moisture on root pullout resistance and failure modes in soil reinforcement process, we conducted pullout tests on alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.) roots at five levels(40, 30, 20, 10 and 6 kPa) of soil matric suction, corresponding to respectively 7.84%, 9.66%, 13.02%, 19.35% and 27.06% gravimetric soil moisture contents. Results showed that the maximal root pullout force of M. sativa decreased in a power function with increasing soil moisture content from 7.84% to 27.06%. Root slippage rate increased and breakage rate decreased with increasing soil moisture content. At 9.66% soil moisture content, root slippage rate and breakage rate was 56.41% and 43.58%, respectively. The threshold value of soil moisture content was about 9.00% for alfalfa roots in the loess soil. The maximal pullout force of M. sativa increased with root diameter in a power function. The threshold value of root diameter was 1.15 mm, because root slipping force was greater than root breaking force when diameter >1.15 mm, while diameter ≤1.15 mm, root slipping force tended to be less than root breaking force. No significant difference in pullout forces was observed between slipping roots and breaking roots when they had similar diameters. 6LncRNA NKILA suppresses airway hyper reactivity via interfering the facilitation of MUC5AC and MUC5B mediated by GALNT2显示文摘Glycosylation of mucins mediated by N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferases(GALNTs)is closely related to respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).In addition,long non-coding RNAs(LncRNAs)participate in physiological and pathological processes through various epigenetic mechanisms.In this study,we found that a novel LncRNA named NKILA combined with multiple mucins and GALNTs potentially by several bioinformatics methods,and we used quantitative real-time PCR(RT-qPCR)to detect the expressions of NKILA,MUC5AC,MUC5B,and GALNT2 mRNA in 50 cases of asthma samples and 19 cases of normal samples,whose results showed that the expression of NKILA was significantly decreased in asthmatic samples,negatively correlated with the severity of asthma and the expressions of MUC5AC and MUC5B,while GALNT2 was significantly increased in asthmatic tissues,and positively correlated with the severity of asthma and the expressions of MUC5AC and MUC5B.In vitro,we used transient transfection technology to overexpress or interfere with NKILA and GALNT2 and then detected the expressions of MUC5AC and MUC5B via RT-qPCR and Western blot,which demonstrated GALNT2 can promote the expressions of MUC5AC and MUC5B protein,while NKILA could inhibit this effect.Furthermore,co-immunoprecipitation results showed that GALNT2 could bind to MUC5AC and MUC5B protein.RNA immunoprecipitation and RNA pull-down experiments showed that NKILA could bind to GALNT2.These evidences suggested that there are correlations among the expression of NKILA,GALNT2,MUC5AC,and MUC5B proteins in asthmatic patients.Mechanically,we concluded that NKILA can suppress the O-linked glycosylation of MUC5AC and MUC5B proteins by binding to GALNT2 and inhibit the expression of MUC5AC and MUC5B proteins.Our researches provided a potential therapeutic target for AHR.YONGLI ZHANG YIZHAN CAO BO ZHU YANNI JIANG PENGCHONG LIANG 2021BIOCELL2021,45,1:1

20Early-age Hydration Characteristics of Composite Binder Containing Graphite Powder显示文摘The early-age hydration characteristics of composite binder containing graphite powder(GP)with two different finenesses were investigated by determining the hydration heat,thermo gravimetric,morphology of hardened paste as well as the compressive strength of mortar.The experimental results show that:replacing 2%-6%of cement with graphite powder significantly improves the piezoresistive effect of early age mortar,can be used to monitor accidental loads caused by dropped objects,collisions,or other accident events,and thus avoids initial damage.Some GP provides additional nucleation sites that lead to a fast formation of hydration products(nucleation-site effect).However,due to the almost hydrophobic water contact angle,most of the GP causes a large number of micro-cracks in the hydrated paste(gap effect).Because of the lamellar shape and high surface energy,GP is easily balled and can not be uniformly distributed in the composite,resulting in clumping together and wrapping some of the cement particles(barrier effect).Due to nucleation-site effect,when the dosages of coarse and fine GP reached 2%and 4%,1 d strength were increased by 9.1%and 9.6%,respectively.At 3 days,as the interior damage caused by the gap effect gradually increased,and the retarding effect on cement hydration caused by barrier effect was enhanced.GP has an obvious negative effect on compressive strength.However,micro-cracks caused by fine GP are less,so its negative effect on 3 d compressive strength is lower.何伟 宋少民 MENG Xia ZHANG Pengchong SUN Xu 2022Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2022,37,6:0
