1Removal of cyanide adsorbed on pyrite by H_2O_2 oxidation under alkaline conditions显示文摘Large amounts of cyanide tailings are produced during the cyanidation process in gold extraction,which are hazardous solid wastes due to the toxic cyanide.Pyrite is one of the main minerals in cyanide tailings.The removal of cyanide adsorbed on pyrite by H_2O_2 oxidation under alkaline conditions was investigated in this study.It was found that the removal efficiency was positively correlated with pH from 5 to 12,but remained almost constant when pH was higher than 12.The highest cyanide removal efficiency of 91.10% was achieved by adding no less than 0.6 wt.% of H_2O_2.Cyanide removal was positively correlated with the CN^-adsorption amount between 1.06 and 8.5 mg/g,and temperature between 25 and 85°C.The removal of cyanide adsorbed on pyrite by H_2O_2 oxidation under alkaline conditions was due to the oxidation of pyrite.Hexacyanoferrate,thiocyanate and sulfate were generated with mole ratios of about 2.03:1.12:3.17 during the cyanide removal.?2018 The Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences.Yubo Tu Peiwei Han Lianqi Wei Xiaomeng Zhang Bo Yu Peng Qian Shufeng Ye 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,4:8

3Modified micro-mechanics based multiscale model for progressive failure prediction of 2D twill woven composites显示文摘To consider fiber random distribution at the microscale for the multiscale model based on the micro-mechanics failure(MMF)theory,clustering method is used for the extraction of amplification factors.As the clustering method is a kind of unsupervised machine learning method,the elements with similar mechanical behavior under external loading can be included in a cluster automatically at the microscale.With this modification,the fiber random distribution model can be used for multiscale damage analysis in the framework of MMF theory.To validate the modified multiscale analysis method,progressive damage analysis of a kind of 2D twill woven composites is conducted based on different microscale models.The stress values for microscale models with fiber hexagonal and random distribution patterns are compared first.Much higher stress concentration is generated in the fiber random distribution model due to the smaller inter-fiber distance especially under longitudinal shear loading.The obtained cluster distribution results exhibit the characters of the stress distribution in the two microscale models.Thereafter,tensile and compressive responses of the 2D twill woven composite are predicted with the modified multiscale analysis method and accuracy of the method is verified through comparison with published experimental results.From the simulation results,it can be found that the matrix damage initiation from the model based on the fiber random distribution model is premature compared with that from the model based on the fiber hexagonal distribution model.Besides,under tensile loading,the damage all initiates from the fill tows and propagates to the wrap tows.However,under compressive loading,the matrix damage initiates from the wrap tows in the model based on the fiber random distribution model.Meng WANG Peiwei ZHANG Qingguo FEI Fei GUO 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,7:4

5Integrative Analysis Reveals Enhanced Regulatory Effects of Human Long Intergenic Non-Coding RNAs in Lung Adenocarcinoma显示文摘Although there is an accumulating appreciation of the key roles that long intergenic non-coding RNAs(linc RNAs) play in diverse cellular processes, our knowledge of how linc RNAs function in cancer remains sparse. Here, we present a comprehensive landscape of RNA-seq transcriptome profiles of lung adenocarcinomas and their paired normal counterparts to unravel gene regulation rules of linc RNAs.Consistent with previous findings of co-expression between neighboring protein-coding genes, linc RNAs were typically co-expressed with their neighboring genes, which was found in both cancerous and normal tissues. By building a mathematical model based on correlated gene expression, we distinguished an additional subset of linc RNAs termed 'regulatory linc RNAs', representing their dominant roles in gene regulation. The number of regulatory linc RNAs was significantly higher in cancerous compared to normal tissues, and most of them positively regulated protein-coding genes in trans. Functional validation, using knockdown, determined that regulatory linc RNA,GAS5, affected its predicted protein-coding targets. Moreover, we discovered hundreds of differentially expressed regulatory linc RNAs with inclusion of some cancer-associated linc RNAs. 7MULTIPLE PARALLEL SYMMETRIC PERMEABLE MODEL-Ⅲ CRACKS IN A PIEZOELECTRIC/PIEZOMAGNETIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL PLANE显示文摘In this paper, the interactions of multiple parallel symmetric and permeable finite length cracks in a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material plane subjected to anti-plane shear stress loading are studied by the Schmidt method.The problem is formulated through Fourier transform into dual integral equations, in which the unknown variables are the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces.To solve the dual integral equations, the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces are directly expanded as a series of Jacobi polynomials.Finally, the relation between the electric field, the magnetic flux field and the stress field near the crack tips is obtained.The results show that the stress, the electric displacement and the magnetic flux intensity factors at the crack tips depend on the length and spacing of the cracks.It is also revealed that the crack shielding effect presents in piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials.Zhengong Zhou Peiwei Zhang Linzhi Wu 2010Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2010,23,4:2
8Effects of cancer on patients with COVID-19:a systematic review and meta-analysis of 63,019 participants显示文摘Objective:Patients with underlying diseases are more vulnerable to coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).The purpose of this study was to investigate cancer incidence in patients with COVID-19 and to determine whether cancer was associated with mortality among patients with COVID-19.Methods:Electronic searches of Pub Med,Embase,Cochrane,Web of Science,and med Rxiv were conducted to collect studies that provided data regarding the incidence and mortality of cancer patients with COVID-19.Meta-analyses were used to estimate pooled incidences,risk ratios(RRs),and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)using a random-effects model.Heterogeneity among studies was detected using I2 statistics.Results:A total of 19 retrospective studies involving 63,019 patients(2,682 patients with cancer)were included.Meta-analysis showed that the pooled incidence of cancer in COVID-19 patients was 6%(95%CI:3%–9%).The mortality rate of COVID-19 patients with cancer was higher than that of those without cancer[risk ratio(RR):1.8,95%CI:1.38–2.35,P<0.01].Studies on specific types of cancer showed that among COVID-19 patients,the mortality rate of lung cancer patients was higher than that of patients without lung cancer(RR:1.8,95%CI:0.85–3.80,P=0.02).Conclusions:Patients with cancer were more susceptible to COVID-19.As a risk factor,cancer increased mortality among COVID-19 patients.Among COVID-19 patients with cancer,those who had lung cancer had a higher mortality than those without lung cancer.Our findings suggested that clinicians should pay more attention to cancer patients diagnosed with COVID-19 and provide useful information for their clinical management.Ludi Yang Peiwei Chai Jie Yu Xianqun Fan 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:2
9Production of heavy neutron-rich nuclei with radioactive beams in multinucleon transfer reactions显示文摘The production mechanism of heavy neutronrich nuclei is investigated by using the multinucleon transfer reactions of ^(136;148)Xe+^(208)Pb and ^(238)U+^(208)Pb in the framework of a dinuclear system model. The evaporation residual cross sections of target-like fragments are studied with the reaction system ^(148)Xe+^(208)Pb at near barrier energies. The results show that the final isotopic production cross sections in the neutron-deficient side are very sensitive to incident energy while it is not sensitive in the neutron-rich side. The cell cycle consists of several phases, and in each of them the cytoskeleton has a unique structure and set of characteristics. 12Stability analysis of surrounding rock mass in underground powerhouse considering damage effect of microfractures显示文摘A high-precision microseismic(MS)monitoring system was built to monitor surrounding rock microfractures in the underground powerhouse on the left bank of Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station.The surrounding rock damage area with spatiotemporal clustering of MS activities was studied for qualitative analysis of the damage mechanism of surrounding rock microfractures,based on the source parameters of MS events.The surrounding rock microfracture scale characterized by the source radius of MS events was considered to establish the constitutive relation.MS information was imported into the model for numerical analysis using fast Lagrangian analysis of continuain 3 dimensions(FLAC^(3D)).The results indicated that the numerical simulation results considering MS damage can better reflect the actual situation of the field.The surrounding rock microfractures mainly showed mixed failure characteristics.Shear failures appeared in localized areas while the fracture scale of sections from K0e33 m to K0e15 m on the vault was large.The deformation increment caused by microfracture damage in the shallow surrounding rock of the top arch accounted for 10%e13%,and the stress decrement in the surrounding rock caused by microfracture damage accounted for about 10%.Peiwei Xiao Haoyu Mao Bo Qian Biao Li Xingguo Yang Nuwen Xu 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,4:2
13The non-local theory solution of a Griffith crack in functionally graded materials subjected to the harmonic anti-plane shear waves显示文摘In this paper, the dynamic stress field near crack tips in the functionally graded materials subjected to the harmonic anti-plane shear stress waves was investi- gated by means of the non-local theory. The traditional concepts of the non-local theory were extended to solve the fracture problem of functionally graded materials. To make the analysis tractable, it was assumed that the material properties vary exponentially with coordinate parallel to the crack. By use of the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of a pair of dual integral equations, in which the unknown variable was the displacement on the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the displacement on the crack surfaces was expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Unlike the classical elasticity solutions, it is found that no stress singularities are present at crack tips. The non-local elastic solutions yield a finite hoop stress at crack tips, thus allowing us to use the maximum stress as a fracture criterion.
