| 1 | phytochemical analysis and in vitro antioxidant acitivity of hydroalcoholic seed extract of Nymphaea nouchali Burm.f.显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the phytochemical constituents and the antioxidant activity of hydroalcoholic extract of Nymphaea nouchali seed locally prescribed as a diet for diabetes mellitus.Methods:The antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity of hydroalcoholic extract of the plant was assessed against 1,1 diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl(DPPH),nitric oxide and lipid peroxidation using standard protocols.Total phenolics,flavonoids and tannins were also determined.Results:Phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of phenols,flavones,tannins,protein,reducing sugars,glycosides,saponins,alkaloids and steroids.The activities of plant extract against DPPH,nitric oxide and lipid peroxidation was concentration dependent with IG_(50)value of42.82,23.58 and 54.65μg/mL respectively.The total antioxidant capacity was high with 577.73 mg vitamin E/g of the extract and showed a moderately high vitamin C content of 197.22 mg/g.The total tannin content of hydroalcoholic seed extract was high(195.84 GE/g),followed by phenolics(179.56 GE/g)and flavonoids(23.55 QE/g).Conclusion:Our findings provide evidence that the crude extract of Nymphaea nouchali is a potential source of natural antioxidants and this justifies its use in folkloric medicine. | Mabel Parimala Francis Gricilda Shoba | 2013 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013，3，11： | 2 |

Study design:Isolated strips of myometrium,from nine women who underwent hysterectomy,were made to contract with 55 mM KCl before and after incubation with three concentrations of SG-209 (1.5,3.0 and 10 μM). The mean height of contraction and the area under the curve were analysed using a non-parametric test. Results:At a 10 μMconcentration,SG-209 significantly decreased the mean area under the curve from 10.8 to 2.5 cm2 (p < 0.05). Conclusion:SG-209 significantly relaxes the human non-pregnant myometrium. Along with its congener,nicorandil,it may be useful in clinical conditions that require uterine relaxation. | Parimala K. | 20 | Optimization Algorithms of PERT/CPM Network Diagrams in Linear Diophantine Fuzzy Environment显示文摘The idea of linear Diophantine fuzzy set(LDFS)theory with its control parameters is a strong model for machine learning and optimization under uncertainty.The activity times in the critical path method(CPM)representation procedures approach are initially static,but in the Project Evaluation and Review Technique(PERT)approach,they are probabilistic.This study proposes a novel way of project review and assessment methodology for a project network in a linear Diophantine fuzzy(LDF)environment.The LDF expected task time,LDF variance,LDF critical path,and LDF total expected time for determining the project network are all computed using LDF numbers as the time of each activity in the project network.The primary premise of the LDF-PERT approach is to address ambiguities in project network activity timesmore simply than other approaches such as conventional PERT,Fuzzy PERT,and so on.The LDF-PERT is an efficient approach to analyzing symmetries in fuzzy control systems to seek an optimal decision.We also present a new approach for locating LDF-CPM in a project network with uncertain and erroneous activity timings.When the available resources and activity times are imprecise and unpredictable,this strategy can help decision-makers make better judgments in a project.A comparison analysis of the proposed technique with the existing techniques has also been discussed.The suggested techniques are demonstrated with two suitable numerical examples. | Mani Parimala Karthikeyan Prakash Ashraf Al-Quran Muhammad Riaz Saeid Jafari | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024，139，4： | 0 |
