1Effects of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index and Related Wavebands′ Characteristics on Detecting Spatial Heterogeneity Using Variogram-based Analysis显示文摘Spatial heterogeneity is widely used in diverse applications, such as recognizing ecological process, guiding ecological restoration, managing land use, etc. Many researches have focused on the inherent scale multiplicity of spatial heterogeneity by using various environmental variables. How these variables affect their corresponding spatial heterogeneities, however, have received little attention. In this paper, we examined the effects of characteristics of normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and its related bands variable images, namely red and near infrared (NIR), on their corresponding spatial heterogeneity detection based on variogram models. In a coastal wetland region, two groups of study sites with distinct fractal vegetation cover were tested and analyzed. The results show that: 1) in high fractal vegetation cover (H-FVC) area, NDVI and NIR variables display a similar ability in detecting the spatial heterogeneity caused by vegetation growing status structure; 2) in low fractal vegetation cover (L-FVC) area, the NIR and red variables outperform NDVI in the survey of soil spatial heterogeneity; and 3) generally, NIR variable is ubiquitously applicable for vegetation spatial heterogeneity investigation in different fractal vegetation covers. 2PARTICLE-COLLISION AND POROGEN-LEACHING TECHNIQUE TO FABRICATE POLYMERIC POROUS SCAFFOLDS WITH MICROSCALE ROUGHNESS OF INTERIOR SURFACES显示文摘A facile technique is herein reported to fabricate three-dimensional(3D) polymeric porous scaffolds with interior surfaces of a topographic microstructure favorable for cell adhesion.As demonstration,a well-known biodegradable polymer poly(lactide-co-glycolide)(PLGA) was employed as matrix.Under the porogen-leaching strategy,the large and soft porogens of paraffin were modified by colliding with small and hard salt particles,which generated micropits on the surfaces of paraffin spheres.The eventual PLGA scaffolds after leaching the modified porogens had thus interior surfaces of microscale roughness imprinted by those micropits.The microrough scaffolds were confirmed to benefit adhesion of bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs) of rats and meanwhile not to hamper the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of the cells.The insight and technique might be helpful for biomaterial designing in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.Zhen Pan Ze-hua Qu Zheng Zhang Rong Peng Ce Yan 丁建东 2013Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2013,31,5:3
3Redefinition and Formation Age of the Tanjianshan Group in Xitieshan Region, Qinghai显示文摘The Tanjianshan Group, which was previously divided into a, b, c and d formations, has been controversial for a long time. It mainly distributes in the northern margin of Qaidam Basin and is an important early Paleozoic greenschist facies metamorphic volcanic sedimentary rock formation. Detailed field investigation and zircon LA-ICPMS U-Pb dating of the key strata suggest that the original lower part of a Formation(a-1) versus the original middle upper of d Formation(d-3 and d-4), the original upper part of a Formation(a-2) and b Formation versus the original lower part of d Formation(d-1 and d-2) of Tanjianshan Group are contemporaneous heterotopic facies volcanicclasolite deposit, respectively. The former formations formed during the middle-late Ordovician(463–458 Ma), while the latter ones formed in the late Ordovician(about 445 Ma). The original c formation of Tanjianshan Group, which formed after 430 Ma, is similar to the Maoniushan Formation of Kunlun Mountains and north Qaidam Basin. According to the rules of stratigraphic division and naming, new stratum formations of Tanjianshan Group are re-built and divided into Duancenggou(O1-2td), Zhongjiangou(O2-3tz) and Xitieshan(O3tx) formations. The original c Formation is separated from Tanjianshan Group and is renamed as the Wuminggou Formation(S3-D1w), which shows a discordant contact with underlying Tanjianshan Group and overlying Amunike Formation(D3a). 4Benzimidazolium Functionalized Polysulfone-based Anion Exchange Membranes with Improved Alkaline Stability显示文摘The stability of anion exchange membranes(AEMs) is an important feature of alkaline exchange membrane fuel cells(AEMFCs), which has been extensively studied. However it remains a real challenge due to the harsh working condition. Herein, we developed a novel type of polysulfone-based AEMs with three modified 1,2-dimethylbenzimidazoliums containing different substitutes at C4-and C7-position. The results showed that the introduction of the substitutes could obviously improve the dimensional and alkaline stabilities of the corresponding membranes. The swelling ratios of resultant AEMs were all lower than 10% after water immersion. The membrane with 4,7-dimethoxy-1,2-dimethylbenzimidazolium group exhibited the highest alkaline stability. Only 9.2% loss of hydroxide conductivity was observed after treating the membrane in 1 mol·L^(-1) KOH solution at 80 °C for 336 h. 10A female in vivo haploid-induction system via mutagenesis of egg cell-specific peptidases显示文摘Crop breeding schemes can be significantly accelerated by using(doubled)haploid plants.In vivo haploid induction has been applied in plant breeding for decades but is still not available for all crops and genotypes,and haploidization rates are generally very low.Therefore,methodological improvements to and new concepts for haploidization are required.Here,we report a novel system for the induction of haploid plants by mutating genes encoding egg cell-specific aspartic endopeptidases(ECSs).We show that after successful sperm–egg cell fusion,ECSs play a critical role to ensure male and female nucleus fusion after fertilization.The ecs1 ecs2 double mutant can induce haploids by both selfing and hybridization in Arabidopsis and ECS mutation is also capable of producing haploids in rice.In summary,our study develops a novel approach for maternal haploidization and provides new insights into the molecular basis of fertilization.Xuecheng Zhang Ce Shi Siling Li Bo Zhang Pan Luo Xiongbo Peng Peng Zhao Thomas Dresselhaus Meng-Xiang Sun 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,2:1

20A survey on multi-sensor fusion based obstacle detection for intelligent ground vehicles in off-road environments显示文摘With the development of sensor fusion technologies, there has been a lot of research on intelligent ground vehicles, where obstacle detection is one of the key aspects of vehicle driving. Obstacle detection is a complicated task, which involves the diversity of obstacles, sensor characteristics, and environmental conditions. While the on-road driver assistance system or autonomous driving system has been well researched, the methods developed for the structured road of city scenes may fail in an off-road environment because of its uncertainty and diversity.A single type of sensor finds it hard to satisfy the needs of obstacle detection because of the sensing limitations in range, signal features, and working conditions of detection, and this motivates researchers and engineers to develop multi-sensor fusion and system integration methodology. This survey aims at summarizing the main considerations for the onboard multi-sensor configuration of intelligent ground vehicles in the off-road environments and providing users with a guideline for selecting sensors based on their performance requirements and application environments.State-of-the-art multi-sensor fusion methods and system prototypes are reviewed and associated to the corresponding heterogeneous sensor configurations.
