4Development of biomedical publications on ametropia research in PubMed from 1845 to 2010:a bibliometric analysis显示文摘We have carried out a bibliometric analysis on the development of ametropia literature to determine its growth rule and tendency,and to provide the basis for the problems related to ametropia research.Literatures that contained the descriptors of ametropia in title or paper published before Nov.10,2010 in PubMed databases(www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Pubmed) were selected.As bibliometric indicators of ametropia,biomedical journals referring to ophthalmology by ISSN were calculated.The principal bibliometric indicators:Price's and Bradford's laws were applied on the increase or dispersion of scientific literature,the participation index of languages and the journals.By means of manual coding,literatures were classified according to documents study and statistical analysis.The literatures cited in ametropia,astigmatism,myopia and hypermetropia had accumulated to 26475,which consists of Review(n =1560),Randomized Controlled Trial(n =776),Practice Guideline(n =10),Meta-Analysis(n =23),Letter(n =1222),Editorial(n =328),Clinical Trial(n =1726) and Others(n =20830);and Humans(n =23073),Animals(n=1434) and Others(n =1968).1136 literatures were included in PubMed Central,22384 in MEDLINE and 2955 in others.The ametropia literatures rose every 5 years which of the ametropia-year cumulated amount of the literatures had three periods:before 1900,slowly increasing from 1901 to 1950,rapidly rising from 1951 to 2010(increased approximate exponentiation exponent).Sixty kinds of languages were listed in PubMed databases,of which English was dominant for aborting to ametropia research documents before 2010(77.32%,20471/26475).The document language of top eight accounted for 95.58%(English,German,French,Japanese,Russian,Italian,Spanish,Chinese),and others for 4.42%(1171/26475).The SCI database includes 48 ophthalmologic journals and the impact factor of 39 journals is ≥ 1 on Thomson-Reuters in 2010.Of 48 ophthalmologic journals,there were 14785 documents(55.85%) of ametropia,astigmatism,myopia,and hypermetropia.Others were without exception.The bibliometric analysis results show that ametropia literature are increased progressively,approximate exponentiation exponent during 1951-2010.In addition,ametropia research has become more popular since nearly half century.Chang-Tai Xu, Bo-Rong Pan 2011International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2011,4,1:7

8Regenerative Role of Soil Seed Banks of Different Successional Stages in A Saline-alkaline Grassland in Northeast China显示文摘Soil seed banks can act as a potential seed source for natural revegetation and restoration. However, in a saline-alkaline grassland, it remains unclear how the stages of vegetation succession affect the characteristics of soil seed banks and the potential of soil seed banks of different successional stages for vegetation restoration. In this study, seasonal changes of the soil seed bank, and seed production and dispersal dynamics along degradation successional gradients were investigated in a saline-alkaline grassland in Northeast China, where the dominant grass during the 1960 s, Leymus chinensis was replaced with the secondary successional order of Puccinellia chinampoensis, Chloris virgata, and Suaeda salsa, together with bare patches. It was found that the soil seed bank composition varied according to the changing vegetation and had the highest species richness(7–16) in the climax successional stage, but had a low S?rensen similarity(0.22–0.37) with the aboveground vegetation. There was a high seed density of the soil seed bank(21 062–62 166/m2 in August and December) and also high S?rensen similarity index values(0.47–0.60) in the secondary successional stages of P. chinampoensis, C. virgata, and S. salsa. In bare patches, there were many seeds in the soil seed bank and some seedlings also appeared in the aboveground vegetation, indicating the existence of a persistent soil seed bank. Seed density and species richness differed substantially among the different successional stages, which was related to the reproductive characteristics of the standing plants in vegetation communities. Due to the lack of propagules of perennial species, especially the climax species of L. chinensis, in the soil, the successful restoration of the degraded saline-alkaline grassland was not possible. The study proved that in a degraded saline-alkaline grassland dominated by biennial or annual species, the soil seed bank was important for the revegetation of the current dominant plants, but not for the restoration of the original target species. 10Preparation of Al matrix nanocomposites by diluting the composite granules containing nano-SiCp under ultrasonic vibaration显示文摘In this work, an efficient process by diluting the nano-SiCp/Al composite granules in the molten matrix under ultrasonic vibration(UV) was developed to prepare metal matrix nano-composites(MMNCs).Millimeter-sized composite granules with high content of SiC particle(8 wt%) were specially fabricated by dry high-energy ball milling(HBM) without process control agent, and then remelted and diluted in molten Al alloy under UV. The MMNCs melt was finally squeeze cast under a squeeze pressure of 200 MPa, Microstructure of the composite granules during dry HBM was investigated, and the effect of UV on microstructure and mechanical properties of the MMNCs was discussed. The results indicate that nano-SiC particles are uniformly distributed in the nano-SiCp/Al composite granules, which are covered by vestures of pure Al. During diluting, nano-SiC particles released from the composite granules are quickly dispersed in the molten matrix by UV within 4 min. Microstructure of MMNCs is significantly refined under UV and squeeze casting, eutectic Si phase modified to fine islands with an average length of 1.4 μm. 15A review on MBE-grown HgCdSe infrared materials on GaSb(211)B substrates显示文摘We review our recent efforts on developing HgCdSe infrared materials on Ga Sb substrates via molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) for fabricating next generation infrared detectors with features of lower production cost and larger focal plane array format size. In order to achieve high-quality HgCdSe epilayers, ZnTe buffer layers are grown before growing HgCdSe, and the study of misfit strain in ZnTe buffer layers shows that the thickness of ZnTe buffer layer needs to be below 300 nm in order to minimize the generation of misfit dislocations. The cut-off wavelength/alloy composition of HgCdSe materials can be varied in a wide range by varying the ratio of Se/Cd beam equivalent pressure during the HgCdSe growth.Growth temperature presents significant impact on the material quality of HgCdSe, and lower growth temperature leads to higher material quality for HgCdSe. Typically, long-wave infrared HgCdSe(x = 0.18, cut-off wavelength of 10.4 μm at 80 K) presents an electron mobility as high as 1.3×10~5cm^2·V^(-1)·s^(-1), a background electron concentration as low as 1.6×10^(16)cm^(-3), and a minority carrier lifetime as long as 2.2 μs. These values of electron mobility and minority carrier lifetime represent a significant improvement on previous studies of MBE-grown HgCdSe reported in the open literatures,and are comparable to those of counterpart HgCdTe materials grown on lattice-matched CdZnTe substrates. These results indicate that HgCdSe grown at the University of Western Australia, especially long-wave infrared can meet the basic material quality requirements for making high performance infrared detectors although further effort is required to control the background electron concentration to below 10^(15)cm^(-3). More importantly, even higher quality HgCdSe materials on GaSb are expected by further optimizing the growth conditions, using higher purity Se source material, and implementing postgrowth thermal annealing and defect/impurity gettering/filtering.
