| 2 | Preparation of polymer-supported hydrated ferric oxide based on Donnan membrane effect and its application for arsenic removal显示文摘In the present study a novel technique was proposed to prepare a polymer-supported hydrated ferric oxide (D201-HFO) based on Donnan membrane effect by using a strongly basic anion exchanger D201 as the host material and FeCl3-HCl-NaCl solution as the reaction environment. D201-HFO was found to exhibit higher capacity for arsenic removal than a commercial sorbent Purolite ArsenX. Furthermore, it presents favorable adsorption selectivity for arsenic removal from aqueous solution, as well as satis- factory kinetics. Fixed-bed column experiments showed that arsenic sorption on D201-HFO could re- sult in concentration of this toxic metalloid element below 10 μg/L, which was the new maximum con- centration limit set recently by the European Commission and imposed by the US EPA and China. | 13 | SORPTION OF PHENOL AND P-NITROPHENOL ONTO A WEAKLY ANION EXCHANGER: XPS ANALYSIS AND MECHANISM显示文摘X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)was adopted to elucidate sorption mechanism of phenol and p-nitrophenol onto a weakly anion exchanger D301.The distribution of specific forms of tertiary amino group on D301 was obtained and effect of free tertiary amino group on phenol sorption onto D301 was discussed. The result indicated that the percent of the protonated tertiary amine group on polymeric matrix was much lower than the reference compound N,N-dimethylbenzylamine at an identical pH value in solution due to the much lower activity degree of hydrogen ion in inner resin phase than in the external solution. Less free amino group on D301 results in less sorption capacity of phenol and p-nitrophenol in an acidic solution. | 14 | Manufacture technique of bronze-iron bimetallic objects found in M27 of Liangdaicun Site, Hancheng, Shaanxi显示文摘Analysis of the fabrication technology of a bronze knife with an iron blade and a bronze Ge with an iron blade, two copper-iron bimetallic wares, unearthed in M27 of Liangdaicun Site, Hancheng of Shaanxi, is performed in this paper by using metallographic, EPMA and AMS-14C dating methods. The micro-structures of the two samples are typical wrought bloomery iron containing a substantial amount of carbon, which is also called carburized steel, made from bloomery iron by cementation in the solid state. The objects can be dated back to the early Spring and Autumn period. This study provides new evidence for understanding the beginning of iron smelting in China. Most of the early known iron wares of the period between the late Western Zhou Dynasty and the early Spring and Autumn were unearthed in the region at the junction of Henan, Shanxi and Shaanxi, at the middle reaches of the Yellow River, suggesting that this region may likely be one of the earliest centers of iron smelting technology in China and deserves further archaeological research. | 15 | Tumor-suppressive function and mechanism of HOXB13 in right-sided colon cancer显示文摘Right-sided colon cancer(RCC)and left-sided colon cancer(LCC)differ in their clinical and molecular features.An investigation of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between RCC and LCC could contribute to targeted therapy for colon cancer,especially RCC,which has a poor prognosis.Here,we identified HOXB13,which was significantly less expressed in RCC than in LCC and associated with prognosis in RCC,by using 5 datasets from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO).Tissue sample analysis showed that HOXB13 was differentially expressed between normal and only RCC tumor tissues.HOXB13 inhibited colon cancer cell proliferation and induced apoptosis both in vitro and in vivo.Furthermore,we found that HOXB13 might be regulated by DNMT3B and suppress C-myc expression to exert antitumor effects viaβ-catenin/TCF4 signals in RCC.In conclusion,the current study is the first to demonstrate that HOXB13 has a tumor-suppressive effect in RCC.High expression levels of HOXB13 are associated with prolonged overall survival in patients with RCC.The DNMT3B-HOXB13-C-myc signaling axis might be a molecular target for the treatment of RCC. | Binbin Xie Bingjun Bai Yuzi Xu Yunlong Liu Yiming Lv Xing Gao Fei Wu Zhipeng Fang Ying Lou Hongming Pan Weidong Han | 2019 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2019,4,1: | 0 |
