2The fate of medications evaluated for ischemic stroke pharmacotherapy over the period 1995–2015显示文摘Stroke is a brain damage caused by a loss of blood supply to a portion of the brain, which requires prompt and effective treatment. The current pharmacotherapy for ischemic stroke primarily relies on thrombolysis using recombinant tissue plasminogen activators(rt-PAs) to breakdown blood clots. Neuroprotective agents that inhibit excitatory neurotransmitters are also used to treat ischemic stroke but have failed to translate into clinical benefits. This poses a major challenge in biomedical research to understand what causes the progressive brain cell death after stroke and how to develop an effective pharmacotherapy for stroke. This brief review analyzes the fate of about 430 potentially useful stroke medications over the period 1995–2015and describes in detail those that successfully reached the market. 3Effects of annealing temperature on the microstructure and hardness of TiAlSiN hard coatings显示文摘TiAlSiN hard coatings were synthesized on high-speed steel using an arc ion enhanced magnetic sputtering hybrid system.The microstructure and hardness of the coatings at different annealing temperatures were explored by means of XRD,TEM,EDAX and Vickers indentation.The as-deposited TiAlSiN coatings were confirmed to be amorphous due to high depositing rate and low deposition temperature during the film growth.The transformation from amorphous to nanocomposites of nano-crystallites and amorphousness were observed after the annealing treatment,the microstructure of TiAlSiN coatings annealed at 800°C and 1000°C were consisted of crystalline hcp-AlN,fcc-TiN and amorphous phase,however,the coatings were only consisted of fcc-TiN and amorphous phase when annealing at 1100°C and 1200°C.Meanwhile,the formation of Al2O3 was detected on the coating surface after annealing at 1200°C and it indicated the excellent oxidation resistance of the TiAlSiN coatings under the present experimental conditions.Furthermore,the average grain size of the TiAlSiN coatings after high temperature annealing even at 1200°C was less than 30 nm and the size increased with the increasing temperature.However,the hardness of the so-deposited coatings with HV0.2N=3300 dramatically decreased with the increase of temperature and reached nearly to the hardness of TiN coatings with HV0.2N=2300.WANG Xin XU JianHua MA ShengLi XU KeWei 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,16:11
4The current agonists and positive allosteric modulators ofα7 nAChR for CNS indications in clinical trials显示文摘The alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor(α7 nAChR), consisting of homomeric α7 subunits, is a ligand-gated Ca^(2+)-permeable ion channel implicated in cognition and neuropsychiatric disorders. Enhancement of α7 nAChR function is considered to be a potential therapeutic strategy aiming at ameliorating cognitive deficits of neuropsychiatric disorders such as Alzheimer's disease(AD) and schizophrenia. Currently, a number of α7 nAChR modulators have been reported and several of them have advanced into clinical trials. 5Longitudinal parameter identification of a small unmanned aerial vehicle based on modified particle swarm optimization显示文摘This paper describes a longitudinal parameter identification procedure for a small unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)through modified particle swam optimization(PSO).The procedure is demonstrated using a small UAV equipped with only an micro-electro-mechanical systems(MEMS)inertial measuring element and a global positioning system(GPS)receiver to provide test information.A small UAV longitudinal parameter mathematical model is derived and the modified method is proposed based on PSO with selective particle regeneration(SRPSO).Once modified PSO is applied to the mathematical model,the simulation results show that the mathematical model is correct,and aerodynamic parameters and coefficients of the propeller can be identified accurately.Results are compared with those of PSO and SRPSO and the comparison shows that the proposed method is more robust and faster than the other methods for the longitudinal parameter identification of the small UAV.Some parameter identification results are affected slightly by noise,but the identification results are very good overall.Eventually,experimental validation is employed to test the proposed method,which demonstrates the usefulness of this method.Jiang Tieying Li Jie Huang Kewei 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,3:10

7Transplantation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells improves cognitive deficits and alleviates neuropathology in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease: a meta-analytic review on potential mechanisms显示文摘Background Alzheimer’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder.Therapeutically,a transplantation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMMSCs)can play a beneficial role in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease.However,the relevant mechanism remains to be fully elucidated.Main body Subsequent to the transplantation of BMMSCs,memory loss and cognitive impairment were significantly improved in animal models with Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Potential mechanisms involved neurogenesis,apoptosis,angiogenesis,inflammation,immunomodulation,etc.The above mechanisms might play different roles at certain stages.It was revealed that the transplantation of BMMSCs could alter some gene levels.Moreover,the differential expression of representative genes was responsible for neuropathological phenotypes in Alzheimer’s disease,which could be used to construct gene-specific patterns.Conclusions Multiple signal pathways involve therapeutic mechanisms by which the transplantation of BMMSCs improves cognitive and behavioral deficits in AD models.Gene expression profile can be utilized to establish statistical regression model for the evaluation of therapeutic effect.The transplantation of autologous BMMSCs maybe a prospective therapy for patients with Alzheimer’s disease.Chuan Qin Yalan Lu Kewei Wang Lin Bai Guiying Shi Yiying Huang Yongning Li 2020Translational Neurodegeneration2020,9,2:9

9Synergistic antitumor activity of sorafenib and artesunate in hepatocellular carcinoma cells显示文摘Sorafenib is currently the standard chemotherapy drug for treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).But its efficacy requires improvement,it is imperative to seek therapeutic strategies that combine sorafenib with other anticancer agents.In this study we investigated the synergistic anticancer effect of combining sorafenib and artesunate,an anti-malaria drug derivative,against HCC in vitro and in vivo.We first showed that artesunate(1–100μM)alone dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation of five HCC cell lines tested with IC50 values of around 100μM.Artesunate treatment dose-dependently increased the ROS level in both HuH7 and Hep3B cells;addition of NAC significantly ameliorated the antiproliferation effect of artesunate against HuH7 and Hep3B cells.Then we demonstrated that combination of sorafenib and artesunate exerted synergistic antiproliferation effect and induced synergistic apoptosis in HCC cell lines.In nude mice bearing Hep3B xenografts,combined administration of sorafenib and artesunate significantly enhanced the suppression on tumor growth.We further revealed that sorafenib dose-dependently decreased the levels of p-ERK and p-STAT3,whereas artesunate markedly increased the levels of p-ERK and p-STAT3 in HuH7 and Hep3B cells.When used in combination,sorafenib abolished artesunate-elevated levels of p-STAT3 and p-ERK.Moreover,pharmacological inhibition of ERK by inhibitor PD0325901 or STAT3 by inhibitor Stattic markedly enhanced the anticancer activity of artesunate,suggesting that suppression of ERK and STAT3 signaling by sorafenib contributes to the synergistic anticancer activity against HCC caused by combination of sorafenib and artesunate.Taken together,our results provide an evidence for possible use of sorafenib plus artesunate or artemisinin analogs for treatment of HCC in the future.Xu Yao Chen-ru Zhao Hao Yin KeWei Wang Jian-jun Gao 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,12:7
10Preparation of TiC/Ni_3Al Composites by Upward Melt Infiltration显示文摘TiC/Ni3Al composites have been prepared using upward infiltration method. The densification was performed by both Ni3Al melt filling and TiC sintering during the infiltration. The dissolution of TiC in liquid Ni3Al has been evidenced by finding Ni3(Al,Ti)C after fast cooling in the TiC/Ni3Al composites. The dissolution may be responsible for the infiltration and sintering. Compared with downward infiltration, the upward infiltration brought about higher strength and fracture toughness and shorter infiltration time. TiC/20 vol. pct Ni3Al composite processed by upward infiltration had a flexural strength of 1476 MPa with a statistic Weibull modulus of 20.2 and a fracture toughness of 20.4 MPa . 12The structural,electronic and magnetic properties of the 3d TM(V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni and Cu) doped ZnO nanotubes:A first-principles study显示文摘We have performed the first-principles calculations onto the structural,electronic and magnetic properties of seven 3d transition-metal(TM=V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni and Cu) atom substituting cation Zn in both zigzag(10,0) and armchair(6,6) zinc oxide nanotubes(ZnONTs).The results show that there exists a structural distortion around 3d TM impurities with respect to the pristine ZnONTs.The magnetic moment increases for V-,Cr-doped ZnONTs and reaches maximum for Mn-doped ZnONTs,and then decreases for Fe-,Co-,Ni-and Cu-doped ZnONTs successively,which is consistent with the predicted trend of Hund's rule for maximizing the magnetic moments of the doped TM ions.However,the values of the magnetic moments are smaller than the predicted values of Hund's rule due to strong hybridization between p orbitals of the nearest neighbor O atoms of ZnONTs and d orbitals of the TM atoms.Furthermore,the Mn-,Fe-,Co-,Cu-doped(10,0) and(6,6) ZnONTs with half-metal and thus 100% spin polarization characters seem to be good candidates for spintronic applications.ZHANG JianMin GAO Dan XU KeWei 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,3:5

15Analysis and comparison of three leg models for bionic locust robot based on landing buffering performance显示文摘Good landing buffering performance can reduce impact and vibration for the bionic locust jumping robot; thus, a landing buffer is important in evaluating the motion performance of the bionic locust robot. In particular, the legs of the robot are the main structures that realize the buffer; thus, its structure affects buffering performance. Three typical leg structure models are established based on the physiological analysis of the locust leg and research status, namely, bionic leg, multi-constraint leg, and arc legs. Kinematic and force analyses are conducted for these types of legs. Particularly, flexible deformation of leg link is considered in the analysis to describe the movement process accurately. In order to compare the buffering performance of these types of legs quantitatively, the performance indices with maximum buffering distance, the energy absorption capability, and the mechanical property are presented. Based on the performance indices, the structure parameters are analyzed and optimized. The buffering performance of the three leg structures is compared with the comprehensive performance of different structures in each best state. This study offers a quantitative analysis and comparison for different legs of bionic locust jumping robot based on landing buffering performance. 18Investigation of stress corre-sion cracking under anodic dissolution control显示文摘This review is about stress corrosion cracking (SCC) under anodic dissolution control. The section 1 is the methods distinguishing SCC controlled by anodic dissolution from those by hydrogen. The section 2 presents hydrogen-enhanced corrosion and SCC under anodic dissolution control. The section 3 demonstrates corrosion-enhanced localized plasticity and corrosion-induced deformation localization, which are the fundaments of new mechanism of SCC. The section 4 is an overview of the proposed mechanisms of SCC under anodic dissolution control. 19Impact Analysis of Solar Irradiance Change on Precision Orbit Determination of Navigation Satellites显示文摘Solar radiation pressure is the main driving force and error source for precision orbit determination of navigation satellites.It is proportional to the solar irradiance,which is the'sun constant'.In regular calculation,the'solar constant'is regard as a constant.However,due to the existence of sunspots,flares,etc.,the solar constant is not fixed,the change in the year is about 1%.To investigate the variation of solar irradiance,we use interpolation and average segment modeling of total solar irradiance data of SORCE,establishing variance solar radiation pressure(VARSRP)model and average solar radiation pressure(AVESRP)model based on the built solar pressure model(SRPM)(constant model).According to observation data of global positioning system(GPS)and Beidou system(BDS)in 2015 and comparing the solar pressure acceleration of VARSRP,AVESRP and SRPM,the magnitude of change can reach 10-10 m/s^2.In addition,according to the satellite precise orbit determination,for GPS satellites,the results of VARSRP and AVESRP are slightly smaller than those of the SRPM model,and the improvement is between 0.1 to 0.5 mm.For geosynchronous orbit(GEO)satellites of BDS,The AVESRP and VARSRP have an improvement of 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm,respectively,based on overlapping arc,and SLR check results show the AVESRP model and the VARSRP model is improved by 2.3 mm and 3.5 mm,respectively.Moreover,the change of inclined geosynchronous orbit(IGSO)satellites and medium earth orbit(MEO)satellites is relatively small,and the improvement is smaller than 0.5 mm.ZHANG Yan WANG Xiaoya XI Kewei SHAO Fan 2019Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2019,36,6:4
