| 1 | Sperm membrane modulation by Sapindus mukorossi during sperm maturation显示文摘Aim:TO observe the alterations in the biochemical and biophysical changes in the sperm membrane during sperm maturation in male rats treated with the water extract of the fruit pericarp of S.mukorossi.Methods:Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were gavaged the aqueous extract of the fruit pericarp of S.mukorossi at a dose of 50mg/kg/dfor45days.On day46,the sperm parameters were observed in idfferent sections of the epididymis and the sperm superoxide dismutase and the lipid peroxidation was edtermined and compared with the controls.The testis and epidiymis were routinely prepared for histological examination under the light microscope.Results:No significant differences in the sperm number and morphology were observed between the control and reated groups.However,a significant inhibition(P<0.05-0.01)of sperm motility in the caput,corpus and cauda regions of the epididymis was seen in the treated group.No significant histopathological changes were found in the testis and epididymis.Theimportant finding was that in the treated animals,the spermatozoa showed an abnormal distribution of the superoxide dismutase activity,being minimum in the caput and maximum in the corpus,which was just opposite to that of the controls.Conclusion:The study provides a unique observation where the plant extract alters the sperm membrane physiology without change the testicular and epididymal morphology. | Manish Nivsarkar Neeta Shrivastava Manoj Patel Harish Padh Cherian Bapu | 2002 | Asian Journal of Andrology2002,4,3: | 14 |
| 2 | 高效液相色谱-荧光检测法测定人血浆中的匹伐他汀(英文)显示文摘Pitavastatin belongs to the class of coenzyme A reductase inhibitors.Very few methods of assaying pitavastatin from human plasma are available in literature.An analytical method is presented for the determination of the drug from human plasma making use of the fluorescent property of the drug.The drug is extracted from plasma using ethyl acetate under neutral condition and then analyzed by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) with fluorescence detection(λEx 245 nm;λEm 420 nm).Analysis of pitavastatin was carried out on a C18 HPLC column using a gradient flow of mobile phase(0.01 mol/L monobasic potassium phosphate(pH 3.20)-acetonitrile,63:37,v/v).Fluorescein isothiocyanate was used as internal standard.The dynamic range of assay was 3 to 50 ng/mL.The intraday precision was less than 10% and accuracy ranged from 95.2% to 112.6%.The same for interday check was less than 12% and 92.8% to 105.1%,respectively.The drug was found to be stable under the assay conditions.The developed method is simple,precise,accurate,and stable.This indicates that it can be applied to routine analysis of this drug in human subjects where there are large numbers of samples without the need of specialized instruments like column switching. | OJHA Ashwini GUTTIKAR Swati VAYEDA Chintan PADH Harish | 2007 | 色谱2007,25,5: | 8 |
