1Endovascular treatment of nonvariceal acute arterial upper gastrointestinal bleeding显示文摘Transcatheter arterial embolization as treatment of upper nonvariceal gastrointestinal bleeding is increasingly being used after failed primary endoscopic treatment.The results after embolization have become better and surgery still has a high mortality.Embolization is a safe and effective procedure,but its use is has been limited because of relatively high rates of rebleeding and high mortality,both of which are associated with gastrointestinal bleeding and non-gastrointestinal related mortality causes.Transcatheter arterial embolization is a valuable minimal invasive method in the treatment of early rebleeding and does not involve a high risk of treatment associated complications.A multidisciplinary approach is necessary in the treatment of these patients and should comprise gastroenterologists,interventional radiologists,anaesthesiologists,and surgeons to achieve the best possible results.Poul Erik Andersen Stevo Duvnjak 2010World Journal of Radiology2010,2,7:11

4Field scale interaction and nutrient exchange between surface water and shallow groundwater in the Baiyang Lake region,North China Plain显示文摘Fertilizer input for agricultural food production, as well as the discharge of domestic and industrial water pollutants, increases pressures on locally scarce and vulnerable water resources in the North China Plain. In order to:(a) understand pollutant exchange between surface water and groundwater,(b) quantify nutrient loadings, and(c) identify major nutrient removal pathways by using qualitative and quantitative methods, including the geochemical model PHREEQC) a one-year study at a wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) and maize(Zea mays L.) double cropping system in the Baiyang Lake area in Hebei Province, China, was undertaken. The study showed a high influence of low-quality surface water on the shallow aquifer. Major inflowing pollutants into the aquifer were ammonium and nitrate via inflow from the adjacent Fu River(up to 29.8 mg/L NH4-N and 6.8 mg/L NO3-N), as well as nitrate via vertical transport from the field surface(up to 134.8 mg/L NO3-N in soil water). Results from a conceptual model show an excess nitrogen input of about 320 kg/ha/a. Nevertheless,both nitrogen species were only detected at low concentrations in shallow groundwater,averaging at 3.6 mg/L NH4-N and 1.8 mg/L NO3-N. Measurement results supported by PHREEQC-modeling indicated cation exchange, denitrification, and anaerobic ammonium oxidation coupled with partial denitrification as major nitrogen removal pathways. Despite the current removal capacity, the excessive nitrogen fertilization may pose a future threat to groundwater quality. 6Interventional treatment of pulmonary arteriovenous malformations显示文摘Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations(PAVM) are congenital vascular communications in the lungs.They act as right to left shunts so that the blood running through these malformations is not oxygenated or filtered.These patients are typically hypoxaemic with exercise intolerance and are at high risk of paradoxical emboli to the brain and other organs.These malformations are most commonly seen in hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia(HHT)(Mb.Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome).Nowadays,the generally accepted treatment strategy of first choice is embolization of the afferent arteries to the arteriovenous malformations.It is a minimally invasive procedure and at the same time a lung preserving treatment with a very high technical success,high effectiveness and low morbidity and mortality.Embolization prevents cerebral stroke and abscess as well as pulmonary haemorrhage and further raises the functional level.Embolization is a well-established method of treating PAVM,with a significant effect on oxygenation of the blood.Screening for PAVM in patients at risk is recommended,especially in patients with HHT.Poul Erik Andersen Anette Drφhse Kjeldsen 2010World Journal of Radiology2010,2,9:2

11为在有长期的肾疾病的病人的对比材料的使用的耐心的选择和准备策略显示文摘 The prevalence of chronic kidney disease and peripheral arterial disease is increasing.Thus,it is increasingly problematic to image these patients as the number of patients needing a vascular examination is increasing accordingly.In high-risk patients with impaired kidney function,intravascular administration of iodinated contrast media can result in contrast-induced acute kidney injury and Gadolinium can induce nephrogenic systemic fibrosis(NSF).It is important to identify these highrisk patients by means of se-creatinine/e glomerular filtration rate.The indication for contrast examination should counterbalance the increased risk.One or more alternative examination methods without contrast media,such as CO 2 angiography,Ultrasound/Doppler examination or magnetic resonance angiography without contrast should be considered,but at the same time,allow for a meaningful outcome of the examination.If contrast is deemed essential,the patient should be well hydrated,the amount of contrast should be restricted,the examination should be focused,metformin and diuretics stopped,and renal function monitored.Sodium bicarbonate and N-acetylcysteine are popular but their efficiency is not evidence-based.There is no evidence that dialysis protects patients with impaired renal function from contrast-induced nephropathy or NSF.Poul Erik Andersen 2012World Journal of Radiology2012,4,6:2
12Influence of Friction Drive Lift Gears Construction on the Length of Braking Distance显示文摘The friction drive elevators the influence of the braking distance has very high significance to meet certain safety regulations and comfort.During the emergency braking the delay for the system a frame and a cabin should be within the range from 0.2 to 9.81 m/s^2.However,there are no specialist literatures regarding the issues connected with emergency braking of elevating devices either.The results of the own empirical research work are presented regarding the influence of design changes on the working parameters of the friction drive elevator gears.ASG100,KB 160,PP16,PR2000UD and CHP2000 types of safety progressive gears are analyzed.ASG100,KB 160,PP16,PR2000UD type progressive gears are already produced by European manufacturers.CHP2000 type gears are established as the alternative option for the already existing solutions.The unique cam system has been used in the CHP 2000 gears.The cam leverage gives the chance to unblock,in a very easy way,the clamed gears after braking.Thus,it is a key aspect to perform laboratory tests over the braking process of a newly created solution.The proper value of the braking distance has a significant influence on the value of delay in terms of binding standards.The influence of loading on the effective braking distance and the value of the falling elevator cabin speed are analyzed and the results are presented.The results presented are interesting from lift devices operation and a new model of CHP 2000progressive gear point of view.LOONKWIC Poul 2015Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2015,28,2:2
