| 4 | An experimental investigation of transient cavitation control on a hydrofoil using hemispherical vortex generators显示文摘Unsteady cavitation causes noise,damage,and performance decline in the marine engineering and fluid machinery systems.Therefore,finding a method to control the cavitation and its destructive effects is important for the industrial applications.In this work,we proposed a passive method to control the unsteady behavior of transient cavitation at the medium Reynolds number.For this aim,we performed an experimental study using a high-speed camera to analyze the effects of hemispherical vortex generators(VGs)on the cavitation dynamics around a hydrofoil surface.In addition,the pressure pulsations induced by the collapse of the cavity structures in the wake region of the hydrofoil were captured with a pressure transducer mounted on the wall downstream of the hydrofoil.The results showed that the instability behaviors of the cavity structures on the hydrofoil were mitigated using the proposed cavitation passive control method.In addition,the pressure pulsations in the wake region of the hydrofoil were reduced significantly.It can be concluded that the suppression of cavitation instabilities can improve the operating life and reliability of the marine and hydraulic systems. | Ebrahim Kadivar Takaho Ochiai Yuka Iga Ould el Moctar | 2021 | Journal of Hydrodynamics2021,33,6: | 3 |
| 5 | Toxicology,biosynthesis,bio-control of aflatoxin and new methods of detection显示文摘Mycotoxins and their derivatives since their discoveries and until the present time are behind unspecified economic and medical damages.Aflatoxins are classified according to their physical–chemical and toxicological characters in the most dangerous row of the mycotoxins.These aflatoxins are in part responsible,of irreversible medical disasters that are not easily manageable such as cancer of the liver and kidneys,and in the other part,of losses in the stored cereal products.Based on these crucial findings,monitoring of this toxin became imperative in post-harvest food products,during storage,during transformation chain and even during the long phases of conservation.Vigilance of this toxin is delivered by detection methods using very advanced technologies to respond in the shortest possible times.In addition,the knowledge of factors supporting the biosynthesis of aflatoxins such as the temperature,moisture content,concentration of nitrogen and carbon,and the molecules responsible for the genetic control of the synthesis will be reflected later in the choice of bio-control techniques.This control is currently based on new strategies using the bioactives substances of the plants,the lactic bacteria and some strains of actinomycetes that have good inhibiting activity against aflatoxins with fewer side effects on Man.On the other hand,this brief review summarizes the results of new studies demonstrating the toxicity of the toxin,new detection methods and bio-control. | Mohamed Amine Gacem Aminata Ould El Hadj-Khelil | 2016 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2016,6,9: | 2 |

| 8 | 静水和波浪中阻力最小的集装箱船参数化船型优化显示文摘This paper described the process of generating the optimal parametric hull shape with a fully parametric modeling method for three containerships of diferent sizes.The newly created parametric ship hull was applied to another ship with a similar shape,which greatly saved time cost.A process of selecting design variables was developed,and during this process,the infuence of these variables on calm water resistance was analyzed.After we obtained the optimal hulls,the wave added resistance and motions of original hulls and optimal hulls in regular head waves were analyzed and compared with experi-mental results.Computations of the fow around the hulls were obtained from a validated nonlinear potential fow boundary element method.Using the multi-objective optimization algorithm,surrogate-based global optimization(SBGO)reduced the computational efort.Compared with the original hull,wave resistance of the optimal hulls was signifcantly reduced for the two larger ships at Froude numbers corresponding to their design speeds.Optimizing the hull of the containerships slightly reduced their wave added resistance and total resistance in regular head waves,while optimization of their hulls hardly afected wave-induced motions. | Yanxin Feng Ould el Moctar Thomas E.Schellin | 2021 | Journal of Marine Science and Application2021,20,4: | 2 |
