| 1 | Coexistence of Mirizzi syndrome with adenomyomatosis in the gallbladder:report of a case显示文摘BACKGROUND:Mirizzi syndrome is a rare complication of cholelithiasis. Adenomyomatosis is a common tumor-like lesion of the gallbladder. METHODS:A 52-year-old man was admitted to our hospital complaining of right hypochondriac pain and jaundice. Ultrasonography and computed tomography revealed stones in the gallbladder and dilation of the intrahepatic bile ducts. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography revealed narrowing of the common bile duct caused by compression of the gallbladder. Laparotomy revealed type Ⅱ Mirizzi syndrome. RESULTS:Partial cholecystectomy with a Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy reconstruction was performed. Histologically,Rokitansky-Aschoff sinus proliferation,hypertrophy of smooth muscles,and fibrosis were seen in the gallbladder. A segmental type of adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder was diagnosed. CONCLUSIONS:The pathogenic link between the two peculiar entities is unclear. | 3 | Storage in ice incorporated antimelanotic agent and its effects on melanosis and quality of giant red shrimp(Aristaeomorpha foliacea)显示文摘Since melanosis starts very quickly after catching in shrimps,it is immediately treated with an antimelanotic agent.Shrimps are transported to land with ice.In this study,it was aimed to combine these two applications and to produce antimelanotic added ice and to preserve the shrimps in this ice.In ice production,4-hexylresorcinol and sodium metabisulphite were used at ratios 0.0025%and 0.625%,respectively.Shrimp(Aristaeomorpha foliacea)dipped in 4-hexylresorcinol and sodium metabisulphite solutions at ratios 0.005%and 1.25%,respectively,and shrimp kept in normal ice were considered as controls.The melanosis scores of the shrimp stored in ice containing antimelanotics were found to be lower than those of the shrimp dipped into antimelanotics.This situation showed that storage in ice containing antimelanotic agent delayed the formation of melanosis in shrimps.The highest TVB-N and TMA-N values were determined in the control group that did not contain antimelanotic agents.Shrimp stored in ice containing 4-hexylresorcinol had lower TVB-N and TMA-N values compared to sulphide added ice.The highest pH values were determined in shrimps dipped in 4-hexylresorcinol solution and in the control group.The pH values of shrimps treated with 4-hexylresorcinol were higher than those of shrimps treated with sulphite.The incorporation of antimelanotics to ice prevented the softening of shrimps and preserved the texture.Sodium metabisulphite and 4-hexylresorcinol showed a microbial inhibition effect in shrimp,and this effect was more clearly observed by storage in ice containing antimelanotic agent. | Nalan Gokoglu Bahar Gumus Afsin Ceylan Mehmet Gokoglu | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022，46，2： | 3 |

| 5 | Novel one-step synthesis of silica nanoparticles from sugarbeet bagasse by laser ablation and their effects on the growth of freshwater algae culture显示文摘Scientific research involving nanotechnology has grown exponentially and has led to the development of engineered nanoparticles(NPs).Silica NPs have been used in numerous scientific and technological applications over the past decade,necessitating the development of efficient methods for their synthesis.Recent studies have explored the potential of laser ablation as a convenient way to prepare metal and oxide NPs.Due to its high silica content,low cost,and widespread availability,sugarbeet bagasse is highly suitable as a raw material for producing silica NPs via laser ablation.In this study,two different NP production methods were investigated:laser ablation and NaOH treatment.We developed a novel,one-step method to produce silica NPs from sugarbeet bagasse using laser ablation,and we characterized the silica NPs using environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM),energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS),dynamic light scattering(DLS),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),attenuated total reflectanceFourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FT1R),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Raman spectroscopy.EDS analysis and XPS confirmed the presence of silica NPs.The NPs produced by laser ablation were smaller(38-190 nm) than those produced by NaOH treatment(531-825 nm).Finally,we demonstrated positive effects of silica NPs produced from laser ablation on the growth of microalgae,and thus,our novel method may be beneficial as an environmentally friendly procedure to produce NPs. | Nalan Oya San Canan Kursung?z Yasin Tümtas ?ncay Yasa Bülend Orta?
