1Science and Prediction of Heavy Rainfall over China:Research Progress since the Reform and Opening-Up of New China显示文摘This paper reviews the major progress on development of the science and prediction of heavy rainfall over China since the beginning of the reform and opening-up of new China(roughly between 1980 and 2019).The progress of research on the physical mechanisms of heavy rainfall over China is summarized from three perspectives:1)the relevant synoptic weather systems,2)heavy rainfall in major sub-regions of China,and 3)heavy rainfall induced by typhoons.The development and application of forecasting techniques for heavy rainfall are summarized in terms of numerical weather prediction techniques and objective forecasting methods.Greatly aided by the rapid progress in meteorological observing technology and substantial improvement in electronic computing,studies of heavy rainfall in China have advanced to investigating the evolution of heavy-rain-producing storms and observational analysis of the cloud microphysical features.A deeper and more systematic understanding of the synoptic systems of importance to the production of heavy rainfall has also been developed.Operational forecast of heavy rainfall in China has changed from subjective weather event forecasts to a combination of both subjective and objective quantitative precipitation forecasts,and is now advancing toward probabilistic quantitative precipitation forecasts with the provision of forecast uncertainty information.Yali LUO Jisong SUN Ying LI Rudi XIA Yu DU Shuai YANG Yuanchun ZHANG Jing CHEN Kan DAI Xueshun SHEN Haoming CHEN Feifan ZHOU Yimin LIU Shenming FU Mengwen WU Tiangui XIAO Yangruixue CHEN Huiqi LI Mingxin LI 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,3:10

3An intelligent algorithm for coherent sound source localization based on a strong tracking filter显示文摘Background noise is inevitable when sensor arrays are used for aeroacoustic measurements in wind tunnels. The direct removal of background noise, however, would affect the measurement accuracy. In particular, the existing array signal processing algorithms are either invalid or inefficient for removing the noise that is coherent with the signal of interest. In this paper, an intelligent algorithm is developed to localize the coherent sound sources and background noise in real time by iteratively checking the collected data from the array. The proposed method can automatically adjust the suboptimal fading factor to extract useful information as much as possible in residual sequence. This algorithm is tested in simulations and then demonstrated in an experiment.Compared to the two existing methods, the results indicate that the new method has a good phase-shift tracking ability and rapid estimation-error convergence speed, and can achieve an acceptable performance even for low-cost acoustic sensors. 4Effects of vitamin C on the structural and functional characteristics of wheat gluten显示文摘Vitamin C(VC)can greatly enhance the quality properties of dough and steamed bread in the food field.However,there are few studies on the interaction between VC and gluten,and the mechanism of VC influencing the foaming capacity,emulsifiablity,and dynamic viscosity of gluten is not clear.In this study,different content of VC(0,1%,2%,3%,4%and 5%)was added to gluten to obtain VC-gluten dough samples(CK,GV1,GV2,GV3,GV4 and GV5),and the properties of the VC-gluten dough were determined.Results showed that the increasing VC content lead to increase in the content of high-,medium-and low-molecular weight gluten,suggesting that VC improved the protein solubility of gluten.The G'and G'values of dough containing VC were higher than those of the control with the increase of scanning frequency.The foaming ability of gluten increased with the increase of VC content.Emulsibility of the dough of GV1 to GV 5 were significantly lower than that of the CK.Furthermore,VC could reduce the number of bubbles in gluten protein,when the VC content was less than 3%.In conclusion,VC might reduce the emulsifying characteristic and emulsifying stability of gluten,increase the solubility of gluten,and improve the dynamic viscosity of gluten dough by changing the content of disulfide bond in gluten.This study hopes to not only improve the functional characteristics of gluten protein,but also provide the basis for future development and improvement of VC-enriched health foods.Feng Jia Kaichang Ye Changfu Zhang Shihao Zhang Mingxin Fu Xiao Liu Ruijia Guo Ruiting Yang Huiru Zhang Jinshui Wang 2022Grain & Oil Science and Technology2022,5,2:0
5Current status of municipal wastewater treatment plants in North-east China:implications for reforming and upgrading显示文摘Climate affects the natural landscape,the economic productivity of societies,and the lifestyles of its inhabitants.It also influences municipal wastewater treatment.Biological processes are widely employed in municipal wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs),and the prolonged cold conditions brought by the winter months each year pose obstacles to meeting the national standards in relatively cold regions.Therefore,both a systematic analysis of existing technical bottlenecks as well as promising novel technologies are urgently needed for these cold regions.Taking North-east China as a case,this review studied and analyzed the main challenges affecting 20 municipal WWTPs.Moreover,we outlined the currently employed strategies and research issues pertaining to low temperature conditions.Low temperatures have been found to reduce the metabolism of microbes by 58%or more,thereby leading to chemical oxygen demand(COD)and NH_(4)^(-)-N levels that have frequently exceeded the national standard during the winter months.Furthermore,the extracellular matrix tends to lead to activated sludge bulking issues.Widely employed strategies to combat these issues include increasing the aeration intensity,reflux volume,and flocculant addition;however,these strategies increase electricity consumption by>42%in the winter months.Internationally,the processes of anaerobic ammonium oxidation(anammox),granular sludge,and aerobic denitrification have become the focus of research for overcoming low temperature.These have inspired us to review and propose directions for the further development of novel technologies suitable for cold regions,thereby overcoming the issues inherent in traditional processes that have failed to meet the presently reformed WWTP requirements.Bin Cui Chongjun Zhang Liang Fu Dandan Zhou Mingxin Huo 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,6:0
6Multi-feedback Pairwise Ranking via Adversarial Training for Recommender显示文摘Personalized recommendation systems predict potential demand by analyzing user preferences.Generally,user feedback information is inferred from implicit feedback or explicit feedback.Nevertheless,feedback can be contaminated by user’s mis-operations or malicious operations,and may thus lead to incorrect results.We propose a novel Multi-feedback pairwise ranking method via Adversarial training(AT-MPR)for recommender to enhance the robustness and overall performance in the event of rating pollution.The MPR method extends Bayesian personalized ranking(BPR)to cover three types of feedback:positive,negative,and unobserved.It obtains user preferences in a probabilistic way through multiple feedbacks at different levels.To reduce the impact of feedback noise,we train an MPR objective function using minimax adversarial training.Experiments on two datasets show that the AT-MPR model achieves satisfactory performance and outperforms the state-of-the-art implicit feedback collaborative ranking models in two evaluation metrics.WANG Jianfang FU Zhiyuan NIU Mingxin ZHANG Pengbo ZHANG Qiuling 2020Chinese Journal of Electronics2020,29,4:0
