| 1 | The recommendations of Chinese Parkinson’s disease and movement disorder society consensus on therapeutic management of Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a chronic,progressive and debilitating disease,which affects over 2.5 million people in China.PD is characterized clinically by resting tremor,muscular rigidity,bradykinesia and postural instability.As the disease progresses,additional complications can arise such as non-motor and neurobehavioral symptoms.Pharmacological treatment and surgical intervention for PD have been implemented in China.Until 10 years ago,there was lack of standardization for the management of PD in different regions and among different physicians,leading to different treatment levels in different regions and different physicians.Since then,the Chinese Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society have published three versions of guidelines for the management of PD in China,in 2006,2009 and 2014,respectively.Correspondingly,the overall level of treatment for PD in China improved.Objectives:To update the treatment guidelines based on current foreign and domestic practice guidelines and clinical evidence,and to improve the treatment options available to physicians in the management of PD.Summary:A variety of treatment recommendations in the treatment guidelines have been proposed,including physical activity and disease-modifying medication,which should be initiated at the early-stage of the disease.The principles of dosage titration should be followed to avoid acute adverse reactions to the drugs,to achieve a satisfactory clinical effect with a low dose and to reduce the incidence of long-term motor complications.Moreover,different treatment strategies should be considered at different stages of the disease.Importantly,treatment guidelines and personalized treatments should be valued equally.A set of treatment recommendations has been developed to assist physicians to improve and optimize clinical outcomes for patients with PD in China. | Shengdi Chen Piu Chan Shenggang Sun Haibo Chen Baorong Zhang Weidong Le Chunfeng Liu Guoguang Peng Beisha Tang Lijuan Wang Yan Cheng Ming Shao Zhenguo Liu Zhenfu Wang Xiaochun Chen Mingwei Wang Xinhua Wan Huifang Shang Yiming Liu Pingyi Xu Jian Wang Tao Feng Xianwen Chen Xingyue Hu Anmu Xie Qin Xiao | 2016 | Translational Neurodegeneration2016,5,1: | 23 |
| 2 | Effect of the degree of milling on the physicochemical properties,pasting properties and in vitro digestibility of Simiao rice显示文摘Simiao rice is a variety of long-grain Indica rice popular in South China.However,researches on the milling technology of Simiao rice are limited.The effect of different degrees of milling(DOMs)of Simiao rice(0-12%)were evaluated in terms of the physicochemical properties and in vitro starch digestibility of the rice.The results showed that,as the DOM increased from 0 to 12%,the head rice yield(HRY)and the content of protein,lipid,dietary fiber,vitamin B1,vitamin E and niacin nonlinearly decreased,while the content of total starch and amylose and paste viscosity parameters nonlinearly increased.The differences in chemical constituents between the brown and milled Simiao rice with different DOMs lead to the variation in their pasting properties and in vitro digestibility.Because of lower content of slowly digestible starch(SDS)and resistant starch(RS),milled Simiao rice exhibited greater digestibility and a higher estimated glycaemic index(EGI).The EGI of Simiao rice ranged from 77.98 to 85.55,and remained almost constant(approximately 84)when the DOM was above 4%.Correlation analysis indicated that the EGI had strong negative correlations with lipid,protein,dietary fiber and RS,but a positive correlation with amylose.These results provide theoretical guidance for the production of Simiao rice with desired physicochemical properties and digestibility by adjusting the DOM. | Zhiming Wang Mingwei Zhang Guang Liu Yuanyuan Deng Yan Zhang Xiaojun Tang Ping Li Zhencheng Wei | 2021 | Grain & Oil Science and Technology2021,4,2: | 5 |
| 3 | A machine learning-based algorithm used to estimate the physiological elongation of ocular axial length in myopic children显示文摘Background:Axial myopia is the most common type of myopia.However,due to the high incidence of myopia in Chinese children,few studies estimating the physiological elongation of the ocular axial length(AL),which does not cause myopia progression and differs from the non-physiological elongation of AL,have been conducted.The purpose of our study was to construct a machine learning(ML)-based model for estimating the physiological elongation of AL in a sample of Chinese school-aged myopic children.Methods:In total,1011 myopic children aged 6 to 18 years participated in this study.Cross-sectional datasets were used to optimize the ML algorithms.The input variables included age,sex,central corneal thickness(CCT),spherical equivalent refractive error(SER),mean K reading(K-mean),and white-to-white corneal diameter(WTW).The output variable was AL.A 5-fold cross-validation scheme was used to randomly divide all data into 5 groups,including 4 groups used as training data and one group used as validation data.Six types of ML algorithms were implemented in our models.The best-performing algorithm was applied to predict AL,and estimates of the physiological elongation of AL were obtained as the partial derivatives of AL_(predicted)-age curves based on an unchanged SER value with increasing age.Results:Among the six algorithms,the robust linear regression model was the best model for predicting AL,with a R^(2) value of 0.87 and relatively minimal averaged errors between the predicted AL and true AL.Based on the partial derivatives of the AL_(predicted)-age curves,the estimated physiological AL elongation varied from 0.010 to 0.116 mm/year in male subjects and 0.003 to 0.110 mm/year in female subjects and was influenced by age,SER and K-mean.According to the model,the physiological elongation of AL linearly decreased with increasing age and was negatively correlated with the SER and the K-mean.Conclusions:The physiological elongation of the AL is rarely recorded in clinical data in China.In cases of unavailable clinical dat,an ML algorithm could provide practitioners a reasonable model that can be used to estimate the physiological elongation of AL,which is espedally useful when monitoring myopia progression in orthokeratology lens wearers. | Tao Tang Zekuan Yu Qiong Xu Zisu Peng Yuzhuo Fan Kai Wang Qiushi Ren Jia Qu Mingwei Zhao | 2020 | Eye and Vision2020,7,1: | 4 |
| 4 | Comparison of efficacy and safety of native eptifibatide vs. tirofiban in patients with acute coronary syndrome undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention显示文摘Objective: To compare clinical outcomes and safety of eptifibatide or tirofiban in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). Methods:Thirty-six patients with ACS(unstable angina/non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, UA/NSTEMI) who underwent PCI were randomly divided into two groups to receive eptifibatide or tirofiban treatment. Eptifibatide or tirofiban was predominantly initiated in the catheter laboratory before the intervention. In-hospital and 30-day MACE outcomes; bleeding as well as platelet counting were investigated in those two groups. Results:No in-hospital and 30-day MACE event occurred in the two groups. The number of ischemia leads after treatment reduced compared to that before PCI in the two groups. There was improvement in the number of ischemia leads for 24 h after administration in the tirofiban group than those in eptifibatide group(4.21±2.46 vs. 3.89±3.31, P =0.03). The two groups showed no incidence of massive bleeding. Minor bleeding rates were 16.7% and 22.2% in the two groups respectively. | 7 | Relationship of GSTM1 and GSTT1 genetic variant and markers of oxidative stress and inflammation in smokers with coronary artery disease显示文摘Objective:To investigate the role of glutathione S-transferase (GST) genetic variants and markers of oxidative stress and inflammation in smoking-related coronary artery disease (CAD) patients. Methods:Five hundred and thirty-five Chinese CAD patients were successfully genotyped. Plasma total antioxidant status (TAOS), glutathione, C-reactive protein (CRP), fibrinogen(FIB) and white blood cell count (WBC) were determined to evaluate the oxidative stress and inflammatory response. Results: GSTM1-0/GSTT1-0 subjects had a higher CRP, FIB, WBC and GSH and a lower TAOS compared to patients with wild-type GSTM1/GSTT1 genes, but there was significant difference only with regards to TAOS. Smokers with the null genotype of GSTT1 had the highest CRP and the lowest TAOS and GSH when compared to the GSTT1-1 genotype with smoking status, or the GSTT1-0 genotype with non-smoking status, or the GSTT1-1 genotype with non-smoking status. However, we found no significant difference between these groups. Also, no significant interaction was observed between genotypes and smoking status in determining CRP levels. | 10 | Chip-compatible wide-field 3D nanoscopy through tunable spatial frequency shift effect显示文摘Spatial frequency shift(SFS) microscopy with evanescent wave illumination shows intriguing advantages, including large field of view(FOV), high speed, and good modularity. However, a missing band in the spatial frequency domain hampers the SFS superresolution microscopy from achieving resolution better than 3 folds of the Abbe diffraction limit. Here, we propose a novel tunable large-SFS microscopy, making the resolution improvement of a linear system no longer restricted by the detection numerical aperture(NA). The complete wide-range detection in the spatial frequency domain is realized by tuning the illumination spatial frequency actively and broadly through an angle modulation between the azimuthal propagating directions of two evanescent waves. The vertical spatial frequency is tuned via a sectional saturation effect, and the reconstructed depth information can be added to the lateral superresolution mask for 3D imaging. A lateral resolution of λ/9, and a vertical localization precision of ~λ/200(detection objective NA = 0.9) are realized with a gallium phosphide(GaP) waveguide. Its unlimited resolution enhancing capability is demonstrated by introducing a designed metamaterial chip with an unusual large refractive index. Besides the great resolution enhancement, this method shows better anti-noise capability than classical structured illumination microscopy without SFS tunability. | 13 | Fast response CdS-CdSxTe(1-x)-CdTe core-shell nanobelt photodetector显示文摘Quasi-one-dimensional semiconductor nanostructure-based photodetectors show high sensitivity but suffer from slow response speed due to surface reaction. Here, we report a fast-response CdSCdS_xTe(1-x)-Cd Te core-shell nanobelt photodetector with a rise time of 11μs, which is the fastest among Cd S based photodetectors reported previously. The improved response speed is ascribed to the suppressed possibilities of surface reaction resulting from the core-shell structure and heterojunction among the CdS, CdS_xTe(1-x)and CdTe. The measured response spectrum of CdS-CdS_xTe(1-x)-CdTe core-shell nanobelt photodetector covers a wide range from 355 to 785 nm. Moreover, high responsivity(1,520 A/W)and large 3 dB bandwidth(~22.9 kHz) are obtained along with the fast response.
