| 2 | Human mesenchymal stem cell morphology, migration, and differentiation on micro and nano-textured titanium显示文摘Orthopedic implants rely on facilitating a robust interaction between the implant material surface and the surrounding bone tissue.Ideally,the interface will encourage osseointegration with the host bone,resulting in strong fixation and implant stability.However,implant failure can occur due to the lack of integration with bone tissue or bacterial infection.The chosen material and surface topography of orthopedic implants are key factors that influence the early events following implantation and may ultimately define the success of a device.Early attachment,rapid migration and improved differentiation of stem cells to osteoblasts are necessary to populate the surface of biomedical implants,potentially preventing biofilm formation and implant-associated infection.This article explores these early stem cell specific events by seeding human mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)on four clinically relevant materials:polyether ether ketone(PEEK),Ti6Al4V(smooth Ti),macro-micro rough Ti6Al4V(Endoskeleton®),and macro-micro-nano rough Ti6Al4V(nanoLOCK®).The results demonstrate the incorporation of a hierarchical macro-micro-nano roughness on titanium produces a stellate morphology typical of mature osteoblasts/osteocytes,rapid and random migration,and improved osteogenic differentiation in seeded MSCs.Literature suggests rapid coverage of a surface by stem cells coupled with stimulation of bone differentiation minimizes the opportunity for biofilm formation while increasing the rate of device integration with the surrounding bone tissue. | Emily G.Long Merve Buluk Michelle B.Gallagher Jennifer M.Schneider Justin L.Brown | 2019 | Bioactive Materials2019,4,1: | 8 |
| 3 | Hepatocellular Carcinoma and the Role of Liver Transplantation:A Review显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths worldwide and liver transplantation(LT)is the only potentially curative treatment.Over the years,Milan criteria has been used for patient selection.There is ongoing research in this field with introduction of new biomarkers for HCC that can help guide future treatment.Furthermore,newer therapies for downstaging of the tumor are being implemented to prevent dropout from the transplant list.In addition,combination therapies for better outcome are under investigation.Interestingly,the concept of living-donor LT and possible use of hepatitis C virus-positive donors has been implemented as an attempt to expand the organ pool.However,there is a conflict of opinion between different centers regarding its efficacy and data is scarce.The aim of this review article is to outline the various selection criteria for LT,discuss the outcomes of LT in HCC patients,and explore future directions of LT for HCC.Therefore,a comprehensive PubMed/MEDLINE review was conducted.To expand our search,references of the retrieved articles were also screened for additional data.After selecting the studies,the authors independently reviewed them to identify the relevant studies.After careful evaluation 120 studies relevant to out topic are cited in the manuscript.Three tables and two figures are also included.In conclusion LT for HCC has evolved over the years.With the introduction of several expanded criteria beyond Milan,the introduction of bridging therapies,such as transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation,and the approval of newer systemic therapies,it is evident that there will be more LT recipients in the future.It is promising to see ongoing trials and the continuous evolution of protocols.Prospective studies are needed to guide the development of a pre-LT criteria that can ensure low HCC recurrence risk and is not overly stringent,clarify the role of LDLT,and determine the optimal bridging therapies to LT. | Haris Muhammad Aniqa Tehreem Peng-Sheng Ting Merve Gurakar Sean Young Li Cem Simsek Saleh A.Alqahtani Amy K.Kim Ruhail Kohli Ahmet Gurakar | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,5: | 7 |

| 6 | 伞房属CCR基因PCR优化体系建立及多拷贝的发现和分析显示文摘对伞房属CCR基因进行扩增,对影响PCR的条件进行优化,结果筛选出引物对A-3198适宜的PCR循环条件为:94℃预变性5min;94℃变性30s,60℃退火lmin,72℃延伸2min,运行30个循环;最后72℃后延伸7min。对伞房属树种进行PCR扩增时,发现用同一引物对,一个样本可以扩增出不同长度的条带。将目的片段进行克隆测序,得到6个序列。所分析的基因片段从Exon3-Exon5,其中Exon3变异位点具有3个,Intron3无变异位点;Exon4变异位点具有7个,Intron4变异位点最多,达到276个,Exon5变异位点也只有6个。从变异位点所占百分数分析,所有外显子包括Exon3、Exon4和Exon5,变异数百分率很低,从1.67%-1.98%,说明外显子是相对保守和稳定的。Intron3最稳定,无任何差异位点。Intron4差异最大,差异百分数高达,19.99%。在Intron4有4处插入发生。第1处插入发生在第2041-2067,插入27个碱基。第2处插入发生在第2127-2289,插入163个碱基。第3处插入为PolyA,6个样本都存在PolyA。第4处为SSR序列。在外显子上未发现2个或2个以上碱基的插入/缺失。从氨基酸的变异来分析,所发生的核苷酸变异很多是无义突变,只有Exon3的2个氨基酸、Exon4的3个氨基酸,以及Exon5的2个氨基酸发生有义突变。本试验于国内外首次发现伞房属树种CCR基因具有多拷贝现象,而在桉树另外2个属桉属和杯果木属的CCR研究中未曾发现。 | 陈碧华 Merv Shepherd 梁一池 | 2007 | 三明学院学报2007,24,2: | 3 |

| 9 | Mental health of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder during COVID-19 pandemic: A systematic review显示文摘BACKGROUND Children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder(ASD)may have great difficulties when their routines change,and this may affect the psychological wellbeing of their parents.For this reason,it is important to examine studies that address the mental health of parents in order to adapt to the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.AIM To determine the mental health status of parents with children diagnosed with ASD in the COVID-19 pandemic.METHODS The study,which is a systematic review,was conducted between December 15,2020 and December 30,2020 by scanning articles in English.The Scopus,Science Direct,PubMed,Cochrane,Web of Science,and Google Scholar databases were used for scanning.The keywords COVID-19 AND(“autism”OR“autistic”OR“autism spectrum disorder”)AND parent AND(“mental health”OR“anxiety”OR“stress”)were used in the search process.The inclusion criteria in the study were findings regarding the mental health of parents with children diagnosed with ASD in the COVID-19 pandemic,addressing their anxiety and stress situations,being a research article,and accessing the full text of the article.RESULTS In the study,a total of 6389 articles were reached,and the full texts of 173 articles were evaluated for eligibility.After the articles excluded by the full-text search were eliminated,12 studies involving 7105 parents were included in the analysis.The findings obtained from the articles containing data on mental health in the COVID-19 pandemic of parents with children with autism spectrum disorder were discussed in three groups.These were findings on the experiences of parents with children with ASD in the COVID-19 pandemic regarding the areas where parents with children with ASD need support in the COVID-19 pandemic and methods of coping with the COVID-19 pandemic for parents with children with ASD.In the systematic review,it was determined that the anxiety and stress of the parents increased,they needed more support compared to the pre-pandemic period,and they had difficulty coping.CONCLUSION In this systematic review,it was concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected the mental health of the parents of children with ASD. | Büşra Yılmaz Merve Azak NevinŞahin | 2021 | World Journal of Psychiatry2021,11,7: | 2 |
| 10 | Comparison of trifocal toric and bifocal toric intraocular lens implantation in patients with cataract and high corneal astigmatism显示文摘AIM:To investigate and compare the quality of life,satisfaction,contrast sensitivity,glare,depth perception,and intraocular lens(IOL)rotation in patients who underwent trifocal toric and bifocal toric IOLs.METHODS:A total of 80 eyes of 40 patients were included in this prospective study.Twenty patients in each group were implanted with trifocal toric and bifocal toric IOL,respectively.Preoperative and postoperative 6-month measurements were recorded for both patient groups.Comprehensive anterior and posterior segment examinations,distance-intermediate-near visual acuity values and the visual function scale questionnaire results were evaluated at these examinations.Patient satisfaction,contrast sensitivity,glare,intermediate-near and distance stereopsis and IOL rotation were also evaluated.RESULTS:No significant difference was found between the groups in terms of distance and near visual acuities(P=0.269,P=0.451).Intermediate visual acuity was significantly increased in the trifocal toric group(P<0.001).The visual function scale results were increased after surgery in both groups(P=0.001 and P<0.001),with no difference determined between them(P=0.158 and P=0.691).The number of patients wearing glasses was low in both groups and there was no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05).The overall satisfaction in the trifocal toric group was significantly higher than in the bifocal toric group(P=0.03).The highest sensitivity was observed at 6 cpd spatial frequency in all patients under photopic conditions(1.80±0.24 logU,1.74±0.20 logU).Distance-intermediate-near binocular depth perception results in both groups were higher in the trifocal toric group(P=0.02,0.048,0.003,respectively).Although there was no significant difference for 3 meters stereopsis,the trifocal toric group had higher depth perception(P=0.577).Mean rotation was 5.76°±3.93°in the trifocal toric group and 12°±7.1°in the bifocal toric group.CONCLUSION:Better results in the middle distance are obtained in the trifocal toric group and less IOL rotation due to digital system-coordinated surgery.Moreover,the overall satisfaction in the trifocal toric group is significantly higher than in the bifocal toric group. | Merve Bozkurt Gencer Hikmet Basmak Erdogan Yasar Ozkan Onal | 2021 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2021,14,12: | 2 |

| 18 | Anodization of titanium alloys for orthopedic applications显示文摘In recent years, nanostructured oxide films on titanium alloy surfaces have gained significant interest due to their electrical, catalytic and biological properties. In literature, there is variety of different approaches to fabricate nanostructured oxide films. Among these methods, anodization technique, which allows fine-tuning of oxide film thickness, feature size, topography and chemistry, is one of the most popular approaches to fabricate nanostructured oxide films on titanium alloys, and it has been widely investigated for orthopedic applications. Briefly, anodization is the growth of a controlled oxide film on a metallic component attached to the anode of an electrochemical cell. This review provides an overview of the anodization technique to grow nanostmctured oxide films on titanium and titanium alloys and summarizes the interactions between anodized titanium alloy surfaces with cells in terms of cellular adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. It will start with summarizing the mechanism of nanofeatured oxide fabrication on titanium alloys and then switch its focus on the latest findings for anodization of titanium alloys, including the use of fluoride free electrolytes and anodization of 3D titanium foams. | 20 | Quantification and spatial distribution of salicylic acid in film tablets using FT-Raman mapping with multivariate curve resolution显示文摘In this study, we proposed a rapid and sensitive method for quantification and spatial distribution of salicylic acid in film tablets using FT-Raman spectroscopy with multivariate curve resolution(MCR). For this purpose, the constituents of film tablets were identified by using FT-Raman spectroscopy, and then eight different concentrations of salicylic acid tablets were visualized by Raman mapping. MCR was applied to mapping data to expose the active pharmaceutical ingredients in the presence of other excipients by monitoring distribution maps and combination of FT-Raman mapping with MCR enabled the determination of lower salicylic acid concentrations. In addition, the distribution of major excipient, lactose, was examined in the tablet form. A calibration curve was obtained by plotting the intensity of the Raman signal at 1635 cm^(-1) versus the concentration of salicylic acid and the correlation was found to be linear within the range of 0.5%–3.9% with a correlation coefficient of 0.99. The limit of detection for the technique was determined 0.35%.
