| 1 | Aluminium is essential for root growth and development of tea plants(Camellia sinensis)^∞显示文摘On acid soils,the trivalent aluminium ion(Al3+)predominates and is very rhizotoxic to most plant species.For some native plant species adapted to acid soils including tea(Camellia sinensis),Al3+has been regarded as a beneficial mineral element.In this study,we discovered that Al3+is actually essential for tea root growth and development in all the tested varieties.Aluminum ion promoted new root growth in five representative tea varieties with dose-dependent responses to Al3+availability.In the absence of Al3+,the tea plants failed to generate new roots,and the root tips were damaged within 1 d of Al deprivation.Struc-tural analysis of root tips demonstrated that Al was required for root meristem development and activity.In situ morin@staining of Al3+in roots revealed that Al mainly localized to nuclei in root meristem cells,but then gradually moved to the cytosol when Al3+was subsequently withdrawn.This movement of Al3+from nuclei to cytosols was accompanied by exacerbated DNA damage,which suggests that the nuclear-targeted Al primarily acts to maintain DNA integrity.Taken together,these results provide novel evidence that Al3+is essential for root growth in tea plants through maintenance of DNA integrity in meristematic cells. | Lili Sun Mengshi Zhang Xiaomei Liu Qianzhuo Mao Chen Shi Leon VKochian Hong Liao | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,7: | 12 |
| 2 | Short-term local prediction of wind speed and wind power based on singular spectrum analysis and locality-sensitive hashing显示文摘With the growing penetration of wind power in power systems, more accurate prediction of wind speed and wind power is required for real-time scheduling and operation. In this paper, a novel forecast model for shortterm prediction of wind speed and wind power is proposed,which is based on singular spectrum analysis(SSA) and locality-sensitive hashing(LSH). To deal with the impact of high volatility of the original time series, SSA is applied to decompose it into two components: the mean trend,which represents the mean tendency of the original time series, and the fluctuation component, which reveals the stochastic characteristics. Both components are reconstructed in a phase space to obtain mean trend segments and fluctuation component segments. After that, LSH is utilized to select similar segments of the mean trend segments, which are then employed in local forecasting, so that the accuracy and efficiency of prediction can be enhanced. Finally, support vector regression is adopted forprediction, where the training input is the synthesis of the similar mean trend segments and the corresponding fluctuation component segments. | 3 | Optimal Operation of Integrated Energy Systems Subject to Coupled Demand Constraints of Electricity and Natural Gas显示文摘This paper proposes a hybrid multi-objective optimization and game-theoretic approach(HMOGTA)to achieve the optimal operation of integrated energy systems(IESs)consisting of electricity and natural gas(E&G)utility networks,multiple distributed energy stations(DESs),and multiple energy users(EUs).The HMOGTA aims to solve the coordinated operation strategy of the electricity and natural gas networks considering the demand characteristics of DESs and EUs.In the HMOGTA,a hierarchical Stackelberg game model is developed for generating equilibrium strategies of DESs and EUs in each district energy network(DEN).Based on the game results,we obtain the coupling demand constraints of electricity and natural gas(CDCENs)which reflect the relationship between the amounts and prices of electricity and cooling(E&C)that DESs purchase from utility networks.Furthermore,the minimization of conflicting costs of E&G networks considering the CDCENs are solved by a multi-objective optimization method.A case study is conducted on a test IES composed of a 20-node natural gas network,a modified IEEE 30-bus system,and 3 DENs,which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed HMOGTA to realize fair treatment for all participants in the IES. | Yingjie Qin Lilan Wu Jiehui Zheng Mengshi Li Zhaoxia Jing Q.H.Wu Xiaoxin Zhou Feng Wei | 2020 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,2: | 7 |

| 5 | Nucleoprotein-based indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(indirect ELISA) for detecting antibodies specific to Ebola virus and Marbug virus显示文摘Full-length nucleoproteins from Ebola and Marburg viruses were expressed as His-tagged recombinant proteins in Escherichia coli and nucleoprotein-based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISAs) were established for the detection of antibodies specific to Ebola and Marburg viruses. The ELISAs were evaluated by testing antisera collected from rabbit immunized with Ebola and Marburg virus nucleoproteins. Although little cross-reactivity of antibodies was observed in antiEbola virus nucleoprotein rabbit antisera, the highest reactions to immunoglobulin G(Ig G) were uniformly detected against the nucleoprotein antigens of homologous viruses. We further evaluated the ELISA's ability to detect antibodies to Ebola and Marburg viruses using human sera samples collected from individuals passing through the Guangdong port of entry. With a threshold set at the mean plus three standard deviations of average optical densities of sera tested, the ELISA systems using these two recombinant nucleoproteins have good sensitivity and specificity. | 9 | A cabazitaxel liposome for increased solubility, enhanced antitumor effect and reduced systemic toxicity显示文摘The potential side effects of cabazitaxel(CBZ)in the field of cancer treatment have become a great limitation to its further clinical application.Liposomal delivery is a well-established approach to increase the therapeutic index of hydrophobic drugs.In this study,a PEGmodified liposome was developed for efficiently encapsulating CBZ,thus enhancing its specific tumor inhibition effect and reducing the systemic toxicity.It was found that the loading efficiency of CBZ into the liposome could be improved with the increase of lipophilic materials,as it could be over 80%under the weight ratio of 20:1(total lipid:CBZ).The diameter of CBZ loaded liposome(CBZ@Lipo)was^100 nm.And the liposome suspending in aqueous medium was stable at 4°C for at least one month,according to the change of its size distribution.The killing ability of CBZ@Lipo to cancer cells was significantly lower comparing to that of CBZ solution,which could be attributed to the slow release of CBZ from the liposomes.However,CBZ@Lipo could induce an obvious apoptosis of the cancer cells at low concentration.Furthermore,CBZ@Lipo exhibited an expressively enhanced tumor growth inhibition effect comparing to CBZ solution.More importantly,CBZ@Lipo showed an obviously higher biosafety proved by lower hemolysis probability,stable body weight of mice during the whole experiment and no obvious lesion in histology analysis.Our work provided a useful reference of the formulation of CBZ,which had potential for greater clinical application. | Xiaoyi Yin Lihua Luo Wei Li Jie Yang Chunqi Zhu Mengshi Jiang Bing qin Xiaoling Yuan Hang Yin Yichao Lu Yongzhong Du Dawei Chen Jian You | 2019 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2019,14,6: | 3 |

| 20 | Comparison and Error Analysis of Off-design and Design Models of Energy Hubs显示文摘The accuracy of the simulation model has a pro-found impact on the optimal operation of the energy hubs(EHs).However,in many articles,the constant model of the efficiency of equipment is adopted to formulate the operation system,which would probably lead to a simplification of the simulation models.But,EHs are typically operated under off-design condition due to the fluctuations in cooling,heating,electricity requirement.More-over,even though the off-design characteristics are considered,few studies have suggested comparing the differences between those two models by considering the operation cost.In order to assess the effect of the off-design characteristics of EH on the optimal operation accuracy in this paper,two test cases are performed on the fixed and variable load conditions,respectively.In addition,the individual effect of off-design characteristics of each equipment on the optimal operation cost of the EH is also investigated through four optimization runs.It is worth mentioning that the optimal operation problem of the EH considering the off-design characteristics and on-off status of the equipment is a mixed integer non-linear programming problem(MINLP).By testing the design and off-design models on the two cases,the results of simulation demonstrate that the optimal operation cost for the off-design model is larger than that for the design model.Nonetheless,in the aspect of the authenticity of the system operation strategy,the off-design model performs better than the design model.Furthermore,a larger relative error of the system operation cost between the two models can be observed when the EH is operated under a relatively lower load condition,revealing that the influence of off-design characteristic on the optimal operation of EHs is too significant to be neglected. | J.H.Zheng Jun Huang Shan Deng Q.H.Wu Mengshi Li Xiaoxin Zhou Zhaoxia Jing | 2019 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2019,5,4: | 1 |
