| 1 | A new class of luminescent nanoprobes based on main-group Sb^(3+) emitters显示文摘Inorganic luminescent nanocrystals(NCs)doped with main-group ns^(2)-metal ions have evoked tremendous interest in many technological fields owing to their superior optical properties.Herein,we report a new class of luminescent nanoprobes based on 5s2-metal Sb3+-doped CaS NCs that are excitable by using a near ultraviolet light-emitting diode.The optical properties and excited-state dynamics of Sb3+in CaS NCs are comprehensively surveyed through temperature-dependent steady-state and transient photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopies.Owing to the strong electron-phonon coupling of Sb^(3+)in CaS NCs,Sb3+ions experience a dynamic Jahn-Taller distortion on the excited state,which results in bright green PL of Sb3+with a broad emission band,a large Stokes shift,and a high PL quantum yield up to 17.3%.By taking advantage of the intense PL of Sb^(3+),we show in proof-of-concept experiments the application of biotinylated CaS:Sb^(3+)NCs as sensitive luminescent nanoprobes for biotin receptor-targeted cancer cell imaging and zebrafish imaging with a high imaging contrast.These findings provide fundamental insights into the excited-state dynamics of Sb^(3+)in CaS NCs,thus laying a foundation for future design of novel and versatile luminescent nanoprobes via main-group ns2-metal doping. | Chunguang Zhang Meiran Zhang Wei Zheng Jiaojiao Wei Shiteng Wang Ping Huang Xingwen Cheng Tao Dai Zhuo Chen Xueyuan Chen | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 3 |
| 2 | Sub-10 nm lanthanide-doped SrFCl nanoprobes:Controlled synthesis,optical properties and bioimaging显示文摘Alkaline-earth dihalide nanocrystals(NCs) such as SrFCl, owing to their high chemical stability and low phonon energy, are excellent host materials for lanthanide(Ln3+) doping to achieve desirable optical properties for various bioapplications, Herein, we report a novel strategy for the synthesis of sub-10 nm Ln3+-doped SrFCl NCs with efficient upconverting and downshifting luminescence through a facile onestep hot-injection method. Utilizing the temperature-dependent upconverting luminescence(UCL) from the thermally coupled 2H11/2 and 4S3/2 levels of Er3+, we showed the potential of SrFCl:Yb,Er NCs as sensitive UCL nanoprobes for non-contact thermal sensing with a maximum detection sensitivity of 0.0066 K-1, which is among the highest values for thermal sensing based on Er3+-activated UCL nanoprobes. | 13 | Application of mathematical morphology operation with memristor-based computation-in-memory architecture for detecting manufacturing defects显示文摘Mathematical morphology operations are widely used in image processing such as defect analysis in semiconductor manufacturing and medical image analysis.These data-intensive applications have high requirements during hardware implementation that are challenging for conventional hardware platforms such as central processing units(CPUs)and graphics processing units(GPUs).Computation-in-memory(CIM)provides a possible solution for highly efficient morphology operations.In this study,we demonstrate the application of morphology operation with a novel memristor-based auto-detection architecture and demonstrate non-neuromoq)hic computation on a multi-array-based memristor system.Pixel-by-pixel logic computations with low parallelism are converted to parallel operations using memristors.Moreover,hardware-implemented computer-integrated manufacturing was used to experimentally demonstrate typical defect detection tasks in integrated circuit(IC)manufacturing and medical image analysis.In addition,we developed a new implementation scheme employing a four-layer network to realize small-object detection with high parallelism.The system benchmark based on the hardware measurement results showed significant improvement in the energy efficiency by approximately 358 times and 32 times more than when a CPU and GPU were employed,respectively,exhibiting the advantage of the proposed memristor-based morphology operation. | Ying Zhou Bin Gao Qingtian Zhang Peng Yao Yiwen Geng Xinyi Li Wen Sun Meiran Zhao Yue Xi Jianshi Tang He Qian Huaqiang Wu | 2022 | Fundamental Research2022,2,1: | 1 |
