1Therapeutic approaches to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: past achievements and future challenges显示文摘BACKGROUND: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a leading cause of chronic liver injury and mortality in Western countries and China. However, as to date, there is no direct and effective therapy for this disease. The aim of this review is to analyze the key progress and challenges of main current therapeutic approaches in NAFLD. DATA SOURCE: We carried out a PubMed search of English-language articles relevant to NAFLD therapy. RESULTS: There are two major therapeutic strategies for NAFLD treatment: (1) lifestyle interventions (including weight reduction, dietary modification and physical exercise) and (2) pharmaceutical therapies. Lifestyle interventions, particularly chronic and moderate intensity exercise, are the most effective and recognized clinical therapies for NAFLD. For pharmaceutical therapies, although their effects and mechanisms have been extensively investigated in laboratory studies, they still need further tests and investigations in clinical human trials. CONCLUSION: Future advancement of NAFLD therapy should focus on the mechanistic studies on cell based and animal models and human clinical trials of exercise, as well as the combination of lifestyle intervention and pharmaceutical therapy specifically targeting main signaling pathways related to lipid metabolism, oxidative stress and inflammation.Jia Xiao Rui Guo Man Lung Fung Emily C Liong George L Tipoe 2013Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2013,12,2:14
26061铝合金表面激光熔覆温度场的模拟与验证显示文摘根据激光熔覆的特点,建立了移动激光高斯热源作用下三维激光熔覆温度场的计算模型,利用有限元软件ANSYS对温度场分布进行了动态模拟。结果表明,激光熔覆温度场模拟等温线呈椭圆形,在移动热源的前方等温线密集,温度梯度较大,热源后方的等温线稀疏,温度梯度较小。采用高功率连续波Nd:YAG激光在6061铝合金表面激光熔覆SiC陶瓷粉末,形成SiCp/Al金属基复合材料改性层,熔覆层除含有Al,SiC之外,还含有少量的Al4C3,Al4SiC4相,通过熔覆层组织形貌观察及相结构分析验证了模拟结果的准确性和可靠性,为陶瓷—金属基复合材料激光熔覆工艺参数的优化提供了理论依据。张松 张春华 张宁 于莉丽 刘常升 Man H C 2007焊接学报2007,28,10:13
3A Novel Semiconductor CIGS Photovoltaic Material and Thin-Film ED Technology显示文摘In order to achieve low cost high efficiency thin film solar cells,a novel Semiconductor Photovoltaic (PV) active material CuIn 1-x Ga x Se 2 (CIGS) and thin film Electro Deposition (ED) technology is explored.Firstly,the PV materials and technologies is investigated,then the detailed experimental processes of CIGS/Mo/glass structure by using the novel ED technology and the results are reported.These results shows that high quality CIGS polycrystalline thin films can be obtained by the ED method,in which the polycrystalline CIGS is definitely identified by the (112),(204,220) characteristic peaks of the tetragonal structure,the continuous CIGS thin film layers with particle average size of about 2μm of length and around 1 6μm of thickness.The thickness and solar grade quality of CIGS thin films can be produced with good repeatability.Discussion and analysis on the ED technique,CIGS energy band and sodium (Na) impurity properties,were also performed.The alloy CIGS exhibits not only increasing band gap with increasing x ,but also a change in material properties that is relevant to the device operation.The beneficial impurity Na originating from the low cost soda lime glass substrate becomes one prerequisite for high quality CIGS films.These novel material and technology are very useful for low cost high efficiency thin film solar cells and other devices.ZHENG Guang fu 1,YANG Hong xing 1,MAN Cheuk ho 1,WONG Wing lok 2, AN Da wei 1 and John BURNETT 1(1 Centre for Development of Solar Energy Technology,Department of Building Services Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University,Hong Kong,C 2001Journal of Semiconductors2001,22,11:10
46061铝合金表面激光熔覆温度场的仿真模拟显示文摘利用连续波Nd:YAG固体激光在6061铝合金表面激光熔覆SiC陶瓷粉末,采用ANSYS有限元软件对6061铝合金激光熔覆过程中热量传递及温度场分布进行模拟,在分析过程中采用三维单元,并考虑了材料热物性的非线性及对流和辐射的边界条件,建立了有限元模型,得出了熔覆过程中试样表面的温度分布模拟图.结果表明,温度场模拟等温线呈椭圆形,在移动热源的前方等温线密集,温度梯度较大,热源后方的等温线稀疏,温度梯度较小,熔池内最高温度与激光扫描速度、光斑半径均成反比,与激光功率成正比.模拟结果为陶瓷-金属基复合材料激光熔覆工艺参数的优化提供了理论依据.张春华 张宁 张松 刘常升 Man H C 2007沈阳工业大学学报2007,29,3:8
5Murine lung eosinophil activation and chemokine production in allergic airway inflammation显示文摘Eosinophils play important roles in asthma and lung infections.Murine models are widely used for assessing the functional significance and mechanistic basis for eosinophil involvements in these diseases.However,little is known about tissue eosinophils in homeostasis.In addition,little data on eosinophil chemokine production during allergic airway inflammation are available.In this study,the properties and functions of homeostatic and activated eosinophils were compared.Eosinophils from normal tissues expressed costimulation and adhesion molecules B7-1,B7-2 and ICAM-1 for Ag presentation but little major histocompatibility complex(MHC)class II,and were found to be poor stimulators of T-cell proliferation.However,these eosinophils expressed high levels of chemokine mRNA including C10,macrophage inflammatory protein(MIP)-1a,MIP-1c,MIP-2,eotaxin and monocyte chemoattractant protein-5(MCP-5),and produced chemokine proteins.Eosinophil intracellular chemokines decreased rapidly with concomitant surface marker downregulation upon in vitro culturing consistent with piecemeal degranulation.Lung eosinophils from mice with induced allergic airway inflammation exhibited increased chemokines mRNA expression and chemokines protein production and upregulated MHC class II and CD11c expression.They were also found to be the predominant producers of the CCR1 ligands CCL6/C10 and CCL9/MIP-1c in inflamed lungs.Eosinophil production of C10 and MIP-1c correlated with the marked influx of CD11bhigh lung dendritic cells during allergic airway inflammation and the high expression of CCR1 on these dendritic cells(DCs).The study provided baseline information on tissue eosinophils,documented the upregulation of activation markers and chemokine production in activated eosinophils,and indicated that eosinophils were a key chemokine-producing cell type in allergic lung inflammation.C Edward Rose Jr Joanne A Lannigan Paul Kim James J Lee Shu Man Fu Sun-sang J Sung 2010Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010,7,5:6
