| 1 | Impacts of Types and Degree of Obesity on Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and Related Dyslipidemia in Chinese School-Age Children?显示文摘Objective To explore the impacts of types and degree of obesity on non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and related lipids disturbance in Chinese school‐age children. Methods A total of 1 452 school‐age Children of 7 to 17 years were recruited in Beijing with representative cluster sampling method. Data of anthropometric measurements including weight, height and waist circumference were collected from March to May of 2007. Body mass index(BMI)was calculated. Blood samples were obtained and lipid profiles including triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C) and low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL‐C) were measured, while glutamate‐pyruvate transaminase (ALT) and glutamic‐oxalacetic transaminase (AST) were determined to evaluate liver function. The liver was also scanned by sonography, and abnormal hepatic sonograms were documented. NAFLD was diagnosed according to the criteria recommended by the Fatty Liver and Alcoholic Liver Disease Study Group under the Chinese Liver Disease Association. Analysis of covariance (ANOVA), Chi‐square test for trend and binary logistic regression analysis were performed. Results The dyslipidemia and ultrasonographic fatty liver deteriorated with the degree of obesity defined either by BMI or waist circumference. Compared with BMI, waist circumference contributed more to the development of dyslipidemia, fatty liver and NAFLD. The highest levels of TG, TC, LDL‐C, and lowest level of HDL‐C were seen in the mixed obese group followed by abdominal obese, peripheral obese and non‐obese ones. Adjusted for gender and age, the odds ratios (ORs) and their 95% confidence intervals of peripheral obesity, abdominal obesity and mixed obesity were 0, 10.93 (0.98‐121.96) and 79.16 (10.95‐572.44) for predicting NAFLD; 12.61 (1.24‐127.78), 19.39 (5.23‐71.85), and 93.21 (29.56‐293.90) for predicting ultrasonographic fatty liver; 1.78 (0.59‐5.44), 3.01 (1.91‐4.77), and 4.64 (3.52‐6.12) for predicting dyslipidemia, respectively compared with the non‐obese control group. The trend of hazards over groups was statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusion The levels of lipid profile and the prevalence of NAFLD and dyslipidemia increased in parallel with the degree of obesity; As compared with the non‐obese control, the mixed obesity had the strongest association with NAFLD and dyslipidemia, followed by abdominal obesity and peripheral obesity in Chinese school‐age Children. | MENG LingHui LUO Na MI Jie | 2011 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,1: | 13 |

| 13 | Mesozoic Thrust-Nappe and Extensional Structure Frameworks in the East Segment of Southeast Yangtze Block, Southeast China显示文摘Multi-stage Mesozoic thrust-nappe and extensional structures are distributed in the east segment of the Southeast Yangtze Block situated in the junction region of Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Anhui provinces. The features and genetic mechanism of the deformations were analyzed after a detailed field observation of their distribution, geometry, and kinematics. In addition, the time sequences of the thrust and extensional structures were determined by combining the results of the comparative analysis with the chronological evidence of strata and magmatic rocks cut by a fault or formed after a fault according to field facts. This study identified three stages of the nappe structures and at least two stages of the extensional structures during the Mesozoic. The geotectonic setting of the nappe and extensional structures was considered to be related to the different geodynamics in the study area including the Early Mesozoic geological event, i.e., N-S compression, forming Lantian fault, etc.;the Late Mesozoic flat-slab subduction, forming Xiaoxi thrust fault and tectonic window;and the roll-back of the paleoPacific Plate, forming extensional structures like basin marginal fault;the last compression, forming Wucheng-Shenxian fault. | 15 | Brain injury due to acute organophosphate poisoning Magnetic resonance imaging manifestation and pathological characteristics显示文摘BACKGROUND: Acute organophosphate poisoning can cause injuries of multiple visceras; especially, central nervous system injury can increase risk factors of patients with severe acute organophosphate poisoning. An application of modern image may increase diagnostic rate of brain injury in an earlier period and provide evidences for clinical treatment. OBJECTIVE: To reveal imaging manifestations, pathological characteristics and multi-ways injured mechanism of brain injury due to acute organophosphate poisoning. DESIGN: Contrast observational study. SETTING: Department of Medical Image, the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University. MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the Department of Nerve Molecule Imaging Medicine and Laboratory of Neurology, the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from August 2003 to February 2004. A total of 30 healthy cats weighing 2.8–3.5 g and of both genders were selected from Animal Experimental Center of Hebei Medical University. METHODS: Thirty healthy cats were randomly divided into control group (n =5) and intoxication group (n =25). Cats in the control group were subcutaneously injected with 0.3 mL/kg saline at four points; while, cats in the intoxication group were subcutaneously injected with 400 g/L 0.3 mL/kg O,O-dimethyl-S-(methoxycarbonylmethyl) thiophosphate at four points. Two minutes after intoxication, cats received muscular injection with 0.5 mg/kg atropine sulfate, and then, brain tissues were collected from parietal lobe, basal ganglia, hippocampus, cerebellum and brain stem were observed at 3, 6, 24 hours, 3 and 7 days after intoxication respectively under optic microscope and electron microscope and expressions of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), choline acetyltransferase (ChAT), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), glutamic acid (Glu) and γ-amino butyric acid after immunohistochemical staining. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Results of MRI examinations; histological changes under optic microscope and electron microscope; expressions of AChE, ChAT, GFAP, Glu and γ-amino butyric acid after immunohistochemical staining. RESULTS: All 30 healthy cats were involved in the final analysis. ① Imaging and pathological observation: Image manifestations of brain injury induced by acute organophosphate poisoning showed as cerebral edema and symmetry signal abnormality of bilateral basal ganglia; while, pathological manifestations also showed as cerebral edema. ② Observation of immunohistochemical staining: As compared with the control group, after organophosphate poisoning, area of AChE immune-positive cells was decreased obviously (P < 0.01), but area of ChAT immune-positive cells was not changed (P > 0.05); in addition, positive cells of GFAP were increased remarkably (P < 0.01), positive cells of γ-amino butyric acid in cerebral cortex were increased obviously (P < 0.05), but numbers of positive cells of Glu were not changed (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Multi-ways injured mechanism invovled in acute organophosphate poisoning. | 18 | Rectifying the Neoproterozoic Stratigraphic Framework of Eastern Jiangnan Orogen, Southeast China显示文摘Studies on the metamorphic and related magmatic rocks within the Jiangnan Orogen,southern China,are important to understand the formation and evolution of this Neoproterozoic orogen because they can provide evidence for revealing the tectonic evolution of the South China Block.Following on from earlier attempts at stratigraphic correlation and creating a framework for the low-grade metamorphosed basement,new first-hand information on the composition and deformation of the East Jiangnan Orogen basement indicates that the sedimentary rocks in the north are composed of the sequential Shangxi Group(Gp)and the overlying Likou Gp,with a clear regional unconformity in between.The Likou Gp includes the Zhentou Formation(Fm.)and the Dengjia Fm.,with the previously named Puling Fm.only basalt interbeds within the Dengjia Fm.The Xucun granodiorite pluton of^830 Ma intrudes the Shangxi Gp,thereby resulting in a 100 mwide hornfels zone within the wall rocks,indicating that the formation of the group occurred earlier than that of the pluton.By contrast,the southern metamorphic rocks of the Xikou Gp and the overlying Jingtan Fm.are flaky,disordered,and strongly deformed.The Jingtan Fm.is roughly equivalent to the Heshangzhen Gp and includes the Zhoujiacun conglomerates in the lower part and a rhyolite in the upper part with interbedded basalt.This assessment of Neoproterozoic stratigraphic sequences and magmatic rocks in the east of the Jiangnan Orogen differs from and rectifies previous studies,emphasizing that explanation of analytical results,particularly geochronology,should be consistent with facts gathered in the field. | YU Xinqi LIU Junlai CHEN Ziwei HU Jun ZENG Yan LIU Xiu LIU Mengyan HE Yu MENG Linghui WANG Zishen | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6: | 0 |
| 19 | Offline Pre-trained Multi-agent Decision Transformer显示文摘Offline reinforcement learning leverages previously collected offline datasets to learn optimal policies with no necessity to access the real environment.Such a paradigm is also desirable for multi-agent reinforcement learning(MARL)tasks,given the combinatorially increased interactions among agents and with the environment.However,in MARL,the paradigm of offline pre-training with online fine-tuning has not been studied,nor even datasets or benchmarks for offline MARL research are available.In this paper,we facilitate the research by providing large-scale datasets and using them to examine the usage of the decision transformer in the context of MARL.We investigate the generalization of MARL offline pre-training in the following three aspects:1)between single agents and multiple agents,2)from offline pretraining to online fine tuning,and 3)to that of multiple downstream tasks with few-shot and zero-shot capabilities.We start by introducing the first offline MARL dataset with diverse quality levels based on the StarCraftII environment,and then propose the novel architecture of multi-agent decision transformer(MADT)for effective offline learning.MADT leverages the transformer′s modelling ability for sequence modelling and integrates it seamlessly with both offline and online MARL tasks.A significant benefit of MADT is that it learns generalizable policies that can transfer between different types of agents under different task scenarios.On the StarCraft II offline dataset,MADT outperforms the state-of-the-art offline reinforcement learning(RL)baselines,including BCQ and CQL.When applied to online tasks,the pre-trained MADT significantly improves sample efficiency and enjoys strong performance in both few-short and zero-shot cases.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first work that studies and demonstrates the effectiveness of offline pre-trained models in terms of sample efficiency and generalizability enhancements for MARL. | Linghui Meng Muning Wen Chenyang Le Xiyun Li Dengpeng Xing Weinan Zhang Ying Wen Haifeng Zhang Jun Wang Yaodong Yang Bo Xu | 2023 | Machine Intelligence Research2023,20,2: | 0 |
