1Research of heat treatment of low-Co AB_5 type hydrogen storage alloys for MH-Ni batteries显示文摘The effects of low-Co AB5 type hydrogen storage alloys prepared by quenching and annealing on the performances of MH-Ni batteries were investigated, and the characteristics of the low-Co AB5 type hydrogen storage alloys were compared with those of the high-Co AB5 type hydrogen storage alloy as well. The results showed that the faster the cooling of the low-Co hydrogen storage alloy is, the better homogeneity of the chemical composition for the alloy and the longer cycle life of the battery are, but the electrochemical discharge capacity and high-rate discharge ability are reduced. The high-rate discharge ability and charge retention of MH-Ni batteries for the conventional as-cast annealed low-Co hydrogen storage alloy were superior to those for the rapidly quenched low-Co hydrogen storage alloy and the high-Co hydrogen storage alloy, but a little inferior in the cycle life.GUOJinghong CHENDemin LIUGuozhong YANGKe MAJun 2003Rare Metals2003,22,3:6
2Changes in Starch Accumulation and Activity of Enzymes Associated with Starch Synthesis of Rice at Different N Supplying Dates显示文摘The changes in grain-filling, starch accumulation and activity of enzymes associated with starch synthesis in two different hybrid rice varieties were analyzed at different N supplying dates (earlier-date-emphasized, mean-date-emphasized and later-date- emphasized). The results showed that the N application of later-date-emphasized could promote grain-filling rate, increase grain weight and amylopectin content. The peak of activity in three enzymes of ADPglusoce pyriphosphorylase (ADPG), starch synthesis enzyme (SSS) and starch branching enzyme (SBE) in grains of two different rice varieties was not changed obviously, but the mean and maximum activity of these three enzymes changed, and the changes of SSS and ADPG were bigger than that of SBE as N supplying date changed. The N application of earlier-date-emphasized increased SSS activity and the N application of later-date-emphasized increased ADPG and SBE activities. The mean SSS activity during whole grain-filling period, and ADPG and SBE activities at middle and late period of grain-filling were significantly or very significantly correlated with grain-filling rate and accumulating rate of amylose and amylopectin. Both of ADPG and SBE played an equal important role in the changes of amylose and amylopectin content. 3Design of a Passive Gait‑based Ankle‑foot Exoskeleton with Self‑adaptive Capability显示文摘Propulsion during push-off is the key to realizing human locomotion.Humans have evolved a way of walking with high energy utilization,but it can be further improved.Drawing inspiration from the muscle-tendon unit,a passive spring-actuated ankle-foot exoskeleton is designed to assist with human walking and to lengthen walking duration by mechanically enhancing walking efficiency.Detection of the gait events is realized using a smart clutch,which is designed to detect the contact states between the shoe sole and the ground,and automatically switch its working state.The engagement of a suspended spring behind the human calf muscles is hence controlled and is in synchrony with gait.The device is completely passive and contains no external power source.Energy is stored and returned passively using the clutch.In our walking trials,the soleus electromyography activity is reduced by as much as 72.2%when the proposed ankle-foot exoskeleton is worn on the human body.The influence of the exoskeleton on walking habits is also studied.The results show the potential use of the exoskeleton in humans’daily life.Xiangyang Wang Sheng Guo Bojian Qu Majun Song Haibo Qu 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,3:5
4Identification of QTLs Conferring Agronomic and Quality Traits in Hexaploid Wheat显示文摘The availability of elite germplasm resources with high yield and quality potentials is very important for development of cultivars in wheat. Thus, seeking such resources has been the continuous effort of breeder community. In this study, genetic analysis of a novel resource, Triticum spelta line CSCR6, from Australia was made by use of a recombination inbred line (RIL) population of 82 individuals from the cross between CSCR6 and another Australian hexaploid wheat cultivar, Lang. Data of a multiple environmental test was employed to genetically dissect quantitative trait loci (QTL) for agronomic traits such as plant height (PH), spike length (SL), spikelet per spike (SPI), grain number per spike (GNS) and thousand grains weight (TGW) and for quality traits including grain protein content (GPC), gluten content (GC), grain hardness (GH), falling number (FN) and sedimentation value (SV). A 24 QTLs with additive effects were detected for all the investigated traits, and were located on chromosomes 1B, 1D, 2B, 3A, 3B, 3D, 4B, 5A, 5B, 7A, and 7B, respectively. Some QTLs located on 2B and 4B showed higher explanation of phenotypic variances and were not obviously interacted with environment. A QTL in the marker interval of wPT-5334-wPT-4918 (near the locus barc 0199) on 4B gave the highest contribution ratio of 30.76% on PH, while Qgpc-4B and Qgc-4B gave 13.07 and 14.70% contribution ratio on GPC and GC, respectively. Qph-2B, Qgns-2B, and Qgpc-2B showed 13.36, 10.00, and 10.79% contribution ratio on PH, GNS and GPC, respectively. Also, a QTL on 5A, Qsl- 5A, could explain 25.12% of phenotypic variance on SL. For most of agronomic and quality traits, CSCR6 alleles produced increase effects. The fact that a number of loci affecting the investigated traits were detected in T. spelta line CSCR6 revealed that it could offer a new opportunity for the manipulation of these traits in wheat breeding programs.MAJun 2012Journal of Integrative Agriculture2012,11,9:4
5Studies on the Photosynthetic Characteristics andAssimilate's Accumulation and Transformation inHeavy Panicle Type of Rice显示文摘Using 18 indiea rice varieties with different panicle weight, the photosynthetic characteristics and assimilate's accumulation and transformation in heavy panicle type of rice (HPT) were studied. The resuits showed that the net photosynthetic rate of the flag leaf in HPT after heading was obviously higher than that in medium panicle type(MPT) and light panicle type(LPT). The reason for the high net photosynthetic rate in HPT was the increase of Rubisco activities and chlorophyll content, and keeping high assimilate ability to CO2 under high and low light intensity, high temperature and low CO2 content, and light midday depression and wide adaptability to environmental conditions. The high net photosynthetic rate of HPT might be also the results of its excellent stomatal characteristics and higher total quantity of stomatal opening degrees(stomatal density X stomatal opening degrees). 6Bioclimatic Matching Analysis for Epiblema strenuana(Lepidoptera:Tortricidae)in China显示文摘The phytophagous insect, Epiblema strenuana, is an effective biocontrol agent against Ambrosia and Parthenium, and was introduced to China in 1990 to control Ambrosia artemisiifolia. After a small scale release in Hunan Province, E. strenuana established and begun to spread. Host specificity and feeding studies in Hunan have indicated that there are four host plants in China, A. artemisiifolia, A. trifida, Xanthium sibiricum and Parthenium hysterophorus. These plants are all weeds that need to be controlled. However, there are still some different views among scientists about the merits of this release because of potential effects on non-target species such as Helianthus annuus, and uncertainty about climatic suitability. To address these concerns, the CLIMEX system was used to predict the possibility of establishment of E. strenuana with A. artemisiifolia, A. trifida, and P. hysterophorus at 85 meteorological locations. Also, the probability of E. strenuana co-establishing with A. artemisiifolia, A. trifida or P. hysterophorus was evaluated quantitatively by bioclimatic risk index (BCRI) transferred from ecoclimate index (EI). Moreover, the hypothetical adaptation of E. strenuana to H. annuus as a host, were evaluated by bioclimate matching. 10Design and Analysis of a Novel Shoulder Exoskeleton Based on a Parallel Mechanism显示文摘Power-assisted upper-limb exoskeletons are primarily used to improve the handling efficiency and load capacity.However,kinematic mismatch between the kinematics and biological joints is a major problem in most existing exoskeletons,because it reduces the boosting effect and causes pain and long-term joint damage in humans.In this study,a shoulder augmentation exoskeleton was designed based on a parallel mechanism that solves the shoulder dislocation problem using the upper arm as a passive limb.Consequently,the human–machine synergy and wearability of the exoskeleton system were improved without increasing the volume and weight of the system.A parallel mechanism was used as the structural body of the shoulder joint exoskeleton,and its workspace,dexterity,and stiffness were analyzed.Additionally,an ergonomic model was developed using the principle of virtual work,and a case analysis was performed considering the lifting of heavy objects.The results show that the upper arm reduces the driving force requirement in coordinated motion,enhances the load capacity of the system,and achieves excellent assistance.Lianzheng Niu Sheng Guo Majun Song Yifan Wu Haibo Qu 2023Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2023,36,2:1

15Design method and verification of a hybrid prosthetic mechanism with energy-damper clutchable device for transfemoral amputees显示文摘Transfemoral amputees(TAs)have difficulty in mobility during walking,such as restricted movement of lower extremity and body instability,yet few transfemoral prostheses have explored human-like multiple motion characteristics by simple structures to fit the kinesiology,biomechanics,and stability of human lower extremity.In this work,the configurations of transfemoral prosthetic mechanism are synthesized in terms of human lower-extremity kinesiology.A hybrid transfemoral prosthetic(HTP)mechanism with multigait functions is proposed to recover the gait functions of TAs.The kinematic and mechanical performances of the designed parallel mechanism are analyzed to verify their feasibility in transfemoral prosthetic mechanism.Inspired by motion-energy coupling relationship of the knee,a wearable energy-damper clutched device that can provide energy in knee stance flexion to facilitate the leg off from the ground and can impede the leg’s swing velocity for the next stance phase is proposed.Its co-operation with the springs in the prismatic pairs enables the prosthetic mechanism to have the energy recycling ability under the gait rhythm of the knee joint.Results demonstrate that the designed HTP mechanism can replace the motion functions of the knee and ankle to realize its multimode gait and effectively decrease the peak power of actuators from 94.74 to 137.05 W while maintaining a good mechanical adaptive stability.Majun SONG Sheng GUO Anderson S.OLIVEIRA Xiangyang WANG Haibo QU 2021Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2021,16,4:0
16Star Counts and Galactic Structure显示文摘We use a medea of the Galactic stellar distribution to analyse the BATC star count data toward two high Galactic latitude fields. Since star counts at high Galactic latitudes are not strongly related to the radial distribution, they are very suitable for the study of the vertical distribution of the Galaxy. The vertical density distribution of the stars shows the contribution of the thin disc, the thiek disc and the stellar halo of the Galaxy. We give quantitative descriptions of these components in terms of exponential discs and a de Vaucouteurs halo. We find that the observed counts support an axial ratio of c/a ~ 0.5, implying a more flatfooted halo. 17Negative Magneto—Resistance Beyond Weak Localization in Three—Dimensional Billiards:Effect of Arnold Diffusion显示文摘We investigate a semiclassical conductance for ballistic open three-dimensional (3-d) billiards. For partially or completely broken-ergodic 3-d billiards such as SO(2) symmetric billiards, the dependence of the conductance on the Fermi wavenumber is dramatically changed by the lead orientation. Application of a symmetry-breaking weak magnetic field brings about mixed phase-space structures of 3-d billiards which ensures a novel Arnold diffusion that cannot be seen in 2-d billiards. In contrast to the 2-d case, the anomalous increment of the conductance should inevitably include a contribution arising from Arnold diffusion as well as a weak localization correction. 18The Modeling of Fuzzy ART Neural Network Based on Self-defined Closeness Degree and Its Application显示文摘This paper defines and proves a new closeness degree firstly, and then presents an improved-CFART neural network model, after introducing the closeness degree into the standard fuzzy ART model. This paper also develops an information analysis and simulation system based on the recognition of industrial real-time data from field.
