Effect of six kinds of scale inhibitors on calcium carbonate precipitation in high salinity wastewater at high temperatures显示文摘Precipitation of calcium carbonate(Ca CO3) scale on heat transfer surfaces is a serious and expensive problem widely occurring in numerous industrial processes. In this study, we compared the scale inhibition effect of six kinds of commercial scale inhibitors and screened out the best one(scale inhibitor SQ-1211) to investigate its scale inhibition performance in highly saline conditions at high temperature through static scale inhibition tests. The influences of scale inhibitor dosage, temperature, heating time and p H on the inhibition efficiency of the optimal scale inhibitor were investigated. The morphologies and crystal structures of the precipitates were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy and X-ray Diffraction analysis. Results showed that the scale inhibition efficiency of the optimal scale inhibitor decreased with the increase of the reaction temperature. When the concentration of Ca2+was 1600 mg/L, the scale inhibition rate could reach 90.7% at 80°C at p H 8. The optimal scale inhibitor could effectively retard scaling at high temperature. In the presence of the optimal scale inhibitor, the main crystal structure of Ca CO3 changed from calcite to aragonite. | Xiaochen Li Baoyu Gao Qinyan Yue Defang Ma Hongyan Rong Pin Zhao Pengyou Teng | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,3: | 15
The prognostic and therapeutic implications of circulating tumor cell phenotype detection based on epithelial-mesenchymal transition markers in the first-line chemotherapy of HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Background:Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)is implicated in the metastatic process and presents a chal-lenge to epithelial cell adhesion molecule-based detection of circulating tumor cells(CTCs),which have been demon-strated to be a prognostic indicator in metastatic breast cancer.Although evidence has indicated that heterogeneity of CTCs based on EMT markers is associated with disease progression,no standard recommendations have been established for clinical practice. This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic significance of dynamic CTC detection based on EMT for metastatic breast cancer patients. Methods:We enrolled 108 human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative metastatic breast cancer patients from the prospective phase III CAMELLIA study and applied the CanPatrol CTC enrichment technique to identify CTC phenotypes(including epithelial CTCs,biphenotypic epithelial/mesenchymal CTCs,and mesenchymal CTCs)in peripheral blood samples.Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses of total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs for predicting the 1-year progression-free survival(PFS)rate were conducted to determine the optimal cut-off values, and Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox proportional hazards regression analysis were performed to investigate the prognostic value of the cut-off values of both total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs in combination. Results:For predicting the 1-year PFS rate, the optimal cut-off value of total CTC count was 9.5(Area under the curve[AUC]=0.538,95%confidence interval[CI]=0.418-0.657),and that of the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs was 10.7%(AUC=0.581,95%CI=0.463-0.699).We used the two cut-off values in combination to forecast PFS in which the total CTC count was equaled to or exceeded 10/5 mL with the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs surpassed 10.7%.Patients who met the combined criteria had significantly shorter median PFS than did those who did not meet the criteria(6.2 vs.9.9 months,P=0.010).A nomogram was constructed based on the criteria and significant clinicopatho-logical characteristics with a C-index of 0.613(P=0.010).Conclusions: The criteria, which combine the total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs, may be used to monitor therapeutic resistance and predict prognosis in patients with metastatic breast cancer. | Xiuwen Guan Fei Ma Chunxiao Li Shiyang Wu Shangying Hu Jiefen Huang Xiaoying Sun Jiayu Wang Yang Luo Ruigang Cai Ying Fan Qiao Li Shanshan Chen Pin Zhang Qing Li Binghe Xu | 2019 | Cancer Communications2019,39,1: | 15

Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear. Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks. Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease, while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes. | MA Yan ZHU Dong Shan CHEN Ren Bo SHI Nan Nan LIU Si Hong FAN Yi Pin WU Gui Hui YANG Pu Ye BAI Jiang Feng CHEN Hong CHEN Li Ying FENG Qiao GUO Tuan Mao HOU Yong HU Gui Fen HU Xiao Mei HU Yun Hong HUANG Jin HUANG Qiu Hua HUANG Shao Zhen JI Liang JIN Hai Hao LEI Xiao LI Chun Yan LI Min Qing LI Qun Tang LI Xian Yong LIU Hong De LIU Jin Ping LIU Zhang MA Yu Ting MAO Ya MO Liu Fen NA Hui WANG Jing Wei SONG Fang Li SUN Sheng WANG Dong Ting WANG Ming Xuan WANG Xiao Yan WANG Yin Zhen WANG Yu Dong WU Wei WU Lan Ping XIAO Yan Hua XIE Hai Jun XU Hong Ming XU Shou Fang XUE Rui Xia YANG Chun YANG Kai Jun YUAN Sheng Li ZHANG Gong Qi ZHANG Jin Bo ZHANG Lin Song ZHAO Shu Sen ZHAO Wan Ying ZHENG Kai ZHOU Ying Chun ZHU Jun Teng ZHU Tian Qing ZHANG Hua Min WANG Yan Ping WANG Yong Yan 无 | 2020 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,12: | 8
Silurian A-type granitoids in the southern margin of the Tongbai-Dabieshan: Evidence from SHRIMP zircon geochronology and geochemistry显示文摘SHRIMP U-Pb dating on magmatic zircons extracted from a riebeckite quartz syenite in the Huangyangshan pluton in Suizhou, the southern margin of Tongbai-Dabieshan yielded an age of 439±6Ma. According to the morphology and high Th/U ratios of the zircons, the age is interpreted as crystallization timing of the pluton. The Huangyangshan pluton is composed of peralkaline quartz syenite, alkaline granite and syenite. All of the rocks are characterized by high agpaitic index (A.I.=(Na+K)/Al, molar ratio) and Fe-number [FeOT/(FeOT+MgO)], low CaO and MgO contents, enrichment of high field strength elements (i.e. Nb, Zr, Ga, Y, Hf) and light REEs, evidently negative Eu anomalies and high Ga/Al ratios, which are consistent with anorogenic A-type granitoids. Being part of the South Qinling-South Dabieshan Paleozoic alkaline rock belt, the Huangyangshan A-type granitoid pluton results from the Paleozoic extension-initial rifting in the northern margin of the Yangtze Craton related to the opening of the eastern Paleo-Tethyan Ocean. | MA Changqian SHE Zhenbing XU Pin WANG Lingyan | 2005 | Science China Earth Sciences2005,48,8: | 7
Trastuzumab plus adjuvant chemotherapy for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-positive early-stage breast cancer: A real-world retrospective study in Chinese patients显示文摘Objective: To assess the long-term effectiveness and safety of trastuzumab in adjuvant therapy for Chinese patients with early-stage human epidermal growth factor 2(HER2)-positive breast cancer in a real-world setting. Methods: This retrospective observational study analyzed the medical records of HER2-positive breast cancer patients between 2000 and 2012 at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Patients who received adjuvant chemotherapy alone or adjuvant chemotherapy followed by/combined with trastuzumab were included. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate disease-free survival(DFS) and overall survival(OS). Hazard ratios(HR) and 95% confidence intervals(95% CI) were calculated using the Cox regression model. Results: Of the 1,348 patients analyzed, 909 received chemotherapy alone and 439 received chemotherapy plus trastuzumab. The 3-year, 5-year and 10-year DFS rates were 83.70%, 76.38% and 68.94%, respectively, in the chemotherapy-alone cohort, and 90.21%, 86.19% and 83.45% in the chemotherapy plus trastuzumab cohort. The3-year, 5-year and 10-year OS rates were 96.10%, 91.40% and 81.88% in the chemotherapy-alone cohort, and98.17%, 94.91% and 90.01% in the chemotherapy plus trastuzumab cohort. The chemotherapy plus trastuzumab group had a significantly lower risk of disease recurrence and death than the chemotherapy-alone group(DFS:HR=0.50, 95% CI, 0.37-0.68;P<0.001;OS: HR=0.53, 95% CI, 0.34-0.81;P=0.004) after adjusting for covariates. In the 439 patients treated with trastuzumab, multivariate analysis suggested that lymph node positivity, higher T stages, and hormone receptor-negative status were significantly associated with higher risks of disease recurrence, and lymph node positivity and hormone receptor-negative status were significantly associated with higher risks of death. Grade 3/4 adverse events(incidence ≥1%) were more common in patients receiving trastuzumab(54.44% vs.15.73%).Conclusions: Early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer patients treated with trastuzumab plus adjuvant chemotherapy have a significant survival benefit compared with chemotherapy-alone in real-world settings. Lymph node positivity, hormone receptor-negative status, and higher T stages may be associated with higher risks of recurrence, and effective therapy for patients with these factors is required. | Jihong Guo Qing Li Pin Zhang Peng Yuan Jiayu Wang Fei Ma Ying Fan Ruigang Cai Yang Luo Qiao Li Binghe Xu | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,5: | 6
Antrodia Cinnamomea ameliorates neointimal formation by inhibiting infl ammatory cell infi ltration through downregulation of adhesion molecule expression in vitro and in vivo显示文摘The increased vascular infl ammation is a key event in the development of atherosclerotic lesions.Antrodia cinnamomea has been shown to promote anticancerogenic activity through decreasing infl ammation. However, the potential role of A.cinnamomea in cardiovascular diseases remains unexplored.Herein, using carotid arterial ligation models,we found that ethanol extract from A.cinnamomea(EEAC)signifi cantly inhibited neointimal hyperplasia in a dose-dependent manner, accompanied with the reduced expression of activated p65 and infl ammatory cytokines. We also show that EEAC ameliorated TNF-α-induced phosphorylation of p65 and pro-infl ammatory cytokine expression in both vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)and macrophages in vitro.Mechanistically,EEAC suppressed expression levels of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)and vascular cell adhesion molecule(VCAM-1)in VSMCs,which attenuates the ability of monocytes/macrophages adhesion to VSMCs.Furthermore, the expression level of these adhesion molecules and infi ltration of monocytes/macrophages were also decreased in neointimal VSMCs of arteries pretreated with EEAC.Altogether, our results reveal a novel function of A.cinnamomea in suppressing vascular infl ammation upon ligation injury during neointimal formation, likely through inhibition of infl ammatory cell infi ltration via downregulating the adhesion molecules in VSMCs.Thus,A.cinnamomea may offer a pharmacological therapy to slow down disease progression in patients with vascular injury. | Yan Zhang Aijin Ma Hao Xi Ning Chen Rong Wang Chenhui Yang Jinbang Chen Pin Lü Fuping Zheng Wenyi Kang | 2021 | Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,4: | 4
Polymorphism in the upstream regulatory region of human papilloma virus type 16 from the cervical cancer biopsies in Xinjiang Uygur women显示文摘To investigate the mutations in the upstream regulatory region (URR) of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) from the cervical cancer biopsies in Xinjiang Uygur women and its relationship to the high incidence of cervical cancer in the southern Xinjiang, the tissue DNA was extracted from the cervical cancer biopsies, and the URR segment of HPV-16 DNA was amplified, sequenced and analyzed. Thereafter, the polymorphism of URR in HPV-16 was then analyzed. It was demonstrated that the positive rate detected for the presence of URR in HPV-16 was 89.47% (17/19). Compared with the previously published sequence in URR of prototype HPV-16, some mutations were detected in the sequence of URR. The mutations in 17 URR fragments of HPV-16 could be divided into 11 patterns (XJU-1 to XJU-11) at nucleic acid level, in which each of XJU-1 and XJU-4 accounted for 23.53% (4/17), and other patterns of mutation accounted for 5.88% (1/17) . In comparison with the URR of prototype HPV-16, the DNA identity of these patterns was 98.50%-99.68% . In these 17 URR fragments, two point mutations occurred at position 7192 (G to T) and position 7520 (G to A) and they appeared to be constant in Xinjiang area. These two mutations were ubiquitous in the Asia-American type and conferred strong infection activity and carcinogenicity of this virus. In addition, the mutations at position 7729 (A to C), position 7843 (A to G) and position 7792 (C to T) could enhance its transcription activity considerably. It is concluded that some mutations occur in URR gene of HPV-16 in the cervical cancer biopsies taken from Uygur women in Xinjiang area, suggesting that certain relationship exists among the mutations in URR of HPV-16, the phylogeny of HPV-16 and the high incidence of cervical cancer in southern part of Xinjiang area. | MENG YU ZHENG HAI MA YAN PIN WANG XI DAN RE FU CHUN ZHANG | 2006 | Journal of Microbiology and Immunology2006,4,3: | 4

Dose-dense paclitaxel plus carboplatin vs.epirubicin and cyclophosphamide with paclitaxel as adjuvant chemotherapy for high-risk triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Objective:The objective of this open-label,randomized study was to compare dose-dense paclitaxel plus carboplatin(PCdd)with dose-dense epirubicin and cyclophosphamide followed by paclitaxel(ECdd-P)as an adjuvant chemotherapy for early triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Methods:We included Chinese patients with high recurrence risk TNBC who underwent primary breast cancer surgery. They were randomly assigned to receive PCdd[paclitaxel 150 mg/m2 on d 1 and carboplatin, the area under the curve,(AUC)=3 on d 2]or ECdd-P(epirubicin 80 mg/m2 divided in 2 d and cyclophosphamide 600 mg/m2 on d 1 for 4 cycles followed by paclitaxel 175 mg/m2 on d 1 for 4 cycles)every 2 weeks with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)support.The primary endpoint was 3-year disease-free survival(DFS);the secondary endpoints were overall survival(OS)and safety. Results:The intent-to-treat population included 143 patients(70 in the PCdd arm and 73 in the ECdd-P arm).Compared with the ECdd-P arm,the PCdd arm had significantly higher 3-year DFS[93.9%vs.79.1%;hazard ratio(HR)=0.310;95%confidence interval(95%CI),0.137-0.704;log-rank,P=0.005]and OS(98.5%vs.92.9%;HR=0.142;95%CI,0.060-0.825;log-rank,P=0.028).Worse neutropenia(grade 3/4)was found in the ECdd-P than the PCdd arm(47.9%V5.21.4%,P=0.001).Conclusions:PCdd was superior to ECdd-P as an adjuvant chemotherapy for early TNBC with respect to improving the 3-year DFS and OS.PCdd also yielded lower hematological toxicity. Thus,PCdd might be a preferred regimen for early TNBC patients with a high recurrence risk. | Qing Li Jiani Wang Yuxin Mu Tongtong Zhang Ying Han Jiayu Wang Qiao Li Yang Luo Fei Ma Ying Fan Pin Zhang Binghe Xulj | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,4: | 4
Impact of clinical research on public health policy of neonatal screening for congenital heart disease in China显示文摘Congenital heart disease(CHD)is one of the most common congenital malformations, with a prevalence of approximately 1%in live births.[1,2]Among them,1/4 to 1/3 are major CHD,including critical CHD(CCHD)and serious CHD,which require surgical or catheter intervention before 1 year of age.[3]Major CHD,if left untreated, may cause serious outcomes, such as heart failure, cardiogenic shock, acidosis, and hypoxic-ischemic brain damage, and is one of the leading causes of infant death and childhood disability.[4]The missed diagnosis rate of CCHD in four nurseries ranges from 13%to 48%in developed countries,[4,5]but in China,is>71%before serious symptoms occur after birth.[6]Therefore,screening for CHD is useful for early detection, diagnosis, and treatment and helps to improve prognosis and reduces the medical, economic, and mental burden to both the family and the society.[5,7] | Miao Yang Youping Tian Pin Jia Xiaojing Ma Xiaoling Ge Xiaojing Hu Quming Zhao Fang Liu Bing Jia Weili Yan Qing Gu Guoying Huang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11: | 3
Polymorphisms of MTHFR and TYMS predict capecitabine-induced hand-foot syndrome in patients with metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Background:Breast cancer is a global problem, and a large number of new cases are diagnosed every year.Capecit-abine is effective in patients with metastatic breast cancer(MBC).Hand-foot syndrome(HFS)is a common adverse effect of capecitabine. In this study,we investigated the association between single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in genes involved in capecitabine metabolism pathways and capecitabine-induced HFS in Chinese patients with MBC to identify some predictive genetic biomarkers. Methods:We selected 3 genes involved in capecitabine metabolism and screened genetic variants in these target genes. We genotyped a total of 22 SNPs in the thymidylate synthase gene(TYMS),the methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase gene(MTHFR),and the ribonucleotide reductase M1 gene(RRM1)in 342 MBC patients treated with capecit-abine-based chemotherapy. The genotype distributions of each SNP in patients with and without HFS were assessed using Pearson’sχ^(2)test,and the relationship between HFS and genotypes of SNPs was determined using logistic regression analysis. The association between SNPs and their corresponding gene expression was analyzed using the Blood expression quantitative trait loci(eQTL)browser online tools. Results:We found 4 positive sites for HFS in the TYMS and MTHFR genes:TYMS rs2606241(P=0.022),TYMS rs2853741(P=0.019),MTHFR rs3737964(P=0.029),and MTHFR rs4846048(P=0.030).Logistic regression analyses showed that the genotype AG of MTHFR rs3737964[odds ratio(OR)=0.54,95%confidence interval(CI)0.31-0.97,P=0.038]and MTHFR rs4846048(OR=0.54,95%CI 0.30-0.98,P=0.042)were protective factors of HFS,whereas the genotype CT of TYMS rs2853741(OR=2.25,95%CI 1.31-3.87,P=0.012)increased the risk of HFS.The association between the genotype GT of TYMS rs2606241(OR=1.27,95%CI 0.73-2.23,P=0.012)and HFS was uncertain.Further eQTL analyses confirmed that the alleles of rs3737964 and rs4846048 affected the gene expression levels of MTHFR in cis. Conclusions:We have identified four potentially useful pharmacogenetic markers,TYMS rs2606241,TYMS rs2853741,MTHFR rs3737964,and MTHFR rs4846048 to predict capecitabine-induced HFS in MBC patients. | Shaoyan Lin Jian Yue Xiuwen Guan Peng Yuan Jiayu Wang Yang Luo Ying Fan Ruigang Cai Qiao Li Shanshan Chen Pin Zhang Qing Li Fei Ma Binghe Xu | 2019 | Cancer Communications2019,39,1: | 3

Antrodia cinnamomea exerts an anti-hepatoma effect by targeting PI3K/AKT-mediated cell cycle progression in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Antrodia cinnamomea is extensively used as a traditional medicine to prevention and treatment of liver cancer. However, its comprehensive chemical fingerprint is uncertain, and the mechanisms, especially the potential therapeutic target for anti-hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)are still unclear.Using UPLC-Q-TOF/MS,139 chemical components were identified in A.cinnamomea dropping pills(ACDPs).Based on these chemical components, network pharmacology demonstrated that the targets of active components were significantly enriched in the pathways in cancer, which were closely related with cell proliferation regulation.Next,HCC data was downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus database(GEO).The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and Dis Ge NET were analyzed by bioinformatics, and 79 biomarkers were obtained.Furtherly, nine targets of ACDP active components were revealed, and they were significantly enriched in PI3 K/AKT and cell cycle signaling pathways. The affinity between these targets and their corresponding active ingredients was predicted by molecular docking. Finally,in vivo and in vitro experiments showed that ACDPs could reduce the activity of PI3 K/AKT signaling pathway and downregulate the expression of cell cycle-related proteins, contributing to the decreased growth of liver cancer.Altogether,PI3 K/AKT-cell cycle appears as the significant central node in anti-liver cancer of A.Cinnamomea. | Yan Zhang Pin Lv Junmei Ma Ning Chen Huishan Guo Yan Chen Xiaoruo Gan Rong Wang Xuqiang Liu Sufang Fan Bin Cong Wenyi Kang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2: | 2
Encoding methods matching the 16×16 pixel CZT detector of a coded aperture gamma camera显示文摘With the advancements in nuclear energy, methods that can accurately obtain the spatial information of radioactive sources have become essential for nuclear energy safety.Coded aperture imaging technology is widely used because it provides two-dimensional distribution information of radioactive sources. The coded array is a major component of a coded aperture gamma camera, and it affects the key performance parameters of the camera.Currently, commonly used coded arrays such as uniformly redundant arrays(URAs)and modified uniformly redundant arrays(MURAs)have prime numbers of rows or columns and may lead to wastage of detector pixels.A 16×16 coded array was designed on the basis of an existing 16×16 multi-pixel position-sensitive cadmium zinc telluride detector. The digital signal-to-noise(SNR)ratio of the point spread function at the center of the array is 25.67.Furthermore,Monte Carlo camera models and experimental devices based on rank-13 MURA and rank-16 URA have been constructed. With the same angular resolution, the field size of view under rank-16 URA is 1.53 times that of under rank-13 MURA.Simulations(Am-241,Co-57,Ir-192,Cs-137)and experiments(Co-57)are conducted to compare the imaging performance between rank-16 URA and rank-13 MURA.The contrast-to-noise ratio of the reconstructed image of the rank-16 array is great and only slightly lower than that of rank-13 MURA.However,as the photon energy increases, the gap becomes almost negligible. | Xiao-Lei Shen Pin Gong Xiao-Bin Tang Rui Zhang Jin-Chao Ma | 2020 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2020,31,9: | 2
Removal of toxic metal ions using chitosan coated carbon nanotube composites for supercapacitors显示文摘Environmental pollution and energy crisis are two major global challenges to human beings.Recovering energy from wastewater is considered to be one of the effective approaches to address these two issues synchronously. As the main pollutants in wastewater, toxic heavy metal ions are the potential candidates for energy storage devices with pseudocapacitive behaviors. In this study, toxic metal ions of Cr(VI)and Cu(II)are removed efficiently by chitosan coated oxygen-containing functional carbon nanotubes, and the corresponding equilibrium adsorption capacity is 142.1 and 123.7 mg g^(-1).Followed by carbonization of metal ions-adsorbed adsorbents,Cu-and Cr N-loaded carbon composites can be obtained.Electrochemical measurements show that the supercapacitor electrodes based on Cu-and Cr N-loaded carbon composites have specific capacitance of 144.9 and 114.9 F g^(-1)at2 m V s^(-1),with superior electrochemical properties to pure chitosan coated carbon nanotubes after carbonization. This work demonstrates a new strategy for the resource-utilization of other heavy metal ions for energy devices, and also provides a new way to turn environmental pollutants into clean energy. | Pin Hao Xiaoye Ma Junfeng Xie Fengcai Lei Liyi Li Wenqian Zhu Xin Cheng Guanwei Cui Bo Tang | 2018 | Science China Chemistry2018,61,7: | 2

Genetic polymorphisms of autophagy-related gene 5 (ATG5) rs473543 predict different disease-free survivals of triple-negative breast cancer patients receiving anthracycline- and/or taxane-based adjuvant chemotherapy显示文摘Background:Autophagy plays a crucial role in chemotherapy resistance of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Hence,autophagy-related gene 5(ATG5),an essential molecule involved in autophagy regulation,is presumably associated with recurrence of TNBC.This study was aimed to investigate the potential influence of single-nucleotide polymorphisms in ATG5 on the disease-free survival(DFS)of early-stage TNBC patients treated with anthracycline-and/or taxane-based chemotherapy. Methods:We genotyped ATG5 SNP rs473543 in a cohort of 316 TNBC patients treated with anthracycline-and/or taxane-based chemotherapy using the sequenom’s MassARRAY system.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and Cox proportional hazard regression analysis were used to analyze the association between ATG5 rs473543 genotypes and the clinical outcome of TNBC patients. Results:Three genotypes,AA,GA,and GG,were detected in the rs473543 of ATG5 gene. The distribution of ATG5 rs473543 genotypes was significantly different between patients with and without recurrence(P=0.024).Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that patients carrying A allele of ATG5 rs473543 had an increased risk of recurrence and shorter DFS compared with those carrying the variant genotype GG in rs473543(P=0.034).In addition, after adjust-ing for clinical factors, multivariate Cox regression analyses revealed that the AA/GA genotype of rs473543 was an independent predictor for DFS(hazard risk[HR],1.73;95%confidence interval[CI],1.04-2.87;P=0.034).In addition,DFS was shorter in node-negative patients with the presence of A allele(AA/GA)than in those with the absence of A allele(P=0.027).Conclusion:ATG5 rs473543 genotypes may serve as a potential marker for predicting recurrence of early-stage TNBC patients who received anthracycline-and/or taxane-based regimens as adjuvant chemotherapy. | Meiying Li Fei Ma Jiayu Wang Qing Li Pin Zhang Peng Yuan Yang Luo Ruigang Cai Ying Fan Shanshan Chen Qiao Li Binghe Xu | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 2
Terbium(Ⅲ)as fluorescence probe in the study of the interaction of rare earth and transition metal ions with concanavalin A显示文摘The binding site for calcium(Ⅱ)on concanavalin A(con-A)can be occupied by rareearth ions. When terbium(Ⅲ)ion binds to con-A,its fluorescence intensity is tremendously enhancedbecause of an energy transfer from one or more tryptophan residues in close proximity to the boundterbium(Ⅲ).The dissociation constant of the con-A-Tb(Ⅲ)complex is 8.90×10-6M,obtainedfrom terbium(Ⅲ)fluorescence titration with con-A.The dissociation constant of the complexesof con-A with other rare earth and transition metal ions was obtained through their competition withterbium(Ⅲ)in the reaction with con-A,i.e.the quenching of con-A enhanced fluorescence.Theresults indicate that the binding of rare earth ions with con-A is dependent not only on their ionicradius but also on the hard-soft acid-base strength of the metal ions. | YANG Pin MA Gui-Bin YANG Bin-Sheng Institute of Molecular Science,Shanxi University,Taiyuan | 1989 | Acta Chimica Sinica English Edition1989,7,5: | 1
