1The long non-coding RNA expression profile of Coxsackievirus A16 infected RD cells identified by RNA-seq显示文摘Coxsackievirus A16(CVA16) is one of major pathogens of hand, foot and mouth disease(HFMD) in children. Long non-coding RNAs(Inc RNAs) have been implicated in various biological processes,but they have not been associated with CVA16 infection. In this study, we comprehensively characterized the landscape of Inc RNAs of normal and CVA16 infected rhabdomyosarcoma(RD)cells using RNA-Seq to investigate the functional relevance of Inc RNAs. We showed that a total of 760 Inc RNAs were upregulated and 1210 Inc RNAs were downregulated. Out of these dysregulated Inc RNAs, 43.64% were intergenic, 22.31% were sense, 15.89% were intronic, 8.67% were bidirectional, 5.59% were antisense, 3.85% were s RNA host Inc RNAs and 0.05% were enhancer. Six dysregulated Inc RNAs were validated by quantitative PCR assays and the secondary structures of these Inc RNAs were projected. Moreover, we conducted a bioinformatics analysis of an Inc RNAs(ENST00000602478) to elucidate the diversity of modification and functions of Inc RNAs. In summary, the current study compared the dysregulated Inc RNAs profile upon CVA16 challenge and illustrated the intricate relationship between coding and Inc RNAs transcripts. 3Lnc-RP5 Regulates the mi R-129-5p/Notch1/PFV Internal Promoter Axis to Promote the Expression of the Prototype Foamy Virus Transactivator Tas显示文摘Prototype foamy virus(PFV)is a unique retrovirus that infects animals and humans and does not cause clinical symptoms.Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are believed to exert multiple regulatory functions during viral infections.Previously,we utilized RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)to characterize and identify the lncRNA lnc-RP5-1086 D14.3.1-1:1(lnc-RP5),which is markedly decreased in PFV-infected cells.However,little is known about the function of lnc-RP5 during PFV infection.In this study,we identified lnc-RP5 as a regulator of the PFV transcriptional transactivator(Tas).Lnc-RP5 enhanced the activity of the PFV internal promoter(IP).The expression of PFV Tas was found to be promoted by lnc-RP5.Moreover,mi R-129-5 p was found to be involved in the lnc-RP5-mediated promotion of PFV IP activity,while the Notch1 protein suppressed the activity of PFV IP and the expression of Tas.Our results demonstrate that lnc-RP5 promotes the expression of PFV Tas through the miR-129-5 p/Notch1/PFV IP axis.This work provides evidence that host lnc RNAs can manipulate PFV replication by employing mi RNAs and proteins during an early viral infection.Shanshan Xu Liujun Chen Yinglian Tang Peipei Yuan Jun Yan Yingcheng Zheng Li Huang Zhi Li Yan Sun Song Han Jun Yin Qin Pan Biwen Peng Xiaohua He Wanhong Liu 2020Virologica Sinica2020,35,1:1

5Combination of steam-enhanced extraction and electrical resistance heating for efficient remediation of perchloroethylene-contaminated soil:Coupling merits and energy consumption显示文摘In situ thermal desorption(ISTD)technology effectively remediates soil contaminated by dense nonaqueous phase liquids(DNAPLs).However,more efforts are required to minimize the energy consumption of ISTD technology.This study developed a laboratory-scale experimental device to explore the coupling merits of two traditional desorption technologies:steam-enhanced extraction(SEE)and electrical resistance heating(ERH).The results showed that injecting high-density steam(>1 g/min)into loam or clay with relatively high moisture content(>13.3%)could fracture the soil matrix and lead to the occurrence of the preferential flow of steam.For ERH alone,the electrical resistance and soil moisture loss were critical factors influencing heating power.When ERH and SEE were combined,preheating soil by ERH could increase soil permeability,effectively alleviating the problem of preferential flow of SEE.Meanwhile,steam injection heated the soil and provided moisture for maintaining soil electrical conductivity,thereby ensuring power stability in the ERH process.Compared with ERH alone(8 V/cm)and SEE alone(1 g/min steam),the energy consumption of combined method in remediating perchloroethylene-contaminated soil was reduced by 39.3%and 52.9%,respectively.These findings indicate that the combined method is more favorable than ERH or SEE alone for remediating DNAPL-contaminated subsurfaces when considering ISTD technology.Rui Yue Zhikang Chen Liujun Liu Lipu Yin Yicheng Qiu Xianhui Wang Zhicheng Wang Xuhui Mao 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,11:1

8Black-hole-inspired thermal trapping with graded heat-conduction metadevices显示文摘The curved space-time produced by black holes leads to the intriguing trapping effect.So far,metadevices have enabled analogous black holes to trap light or sound in laboratory spacetime.However,trapping heat in a conductive environment is still challenging because diffusive behaviors are directionless.Inspired by black holes,we construct graded heat-conduction metadevices to achieve thermal trapping,resorting to the imitated advection produced by graded thermal conductivities rather than the trivial solution of using insulation materials to confine thermal diffusion.We experimentally demonstrate thermal trapping for guiding hot spots to diffuse towards the center.Graded heat-conduction metadevices have advantages in energy-efficient thermal regulation because the imitated advection has a similar temperature field effect to the realistic advection that is usually driven by external energy sources.These results also provide an insight into correlating transformation thermotics with other disciplines,such as cosmology,for emerging heat control schemes.Liujun Xu Jinrong Liu Peng Jin Guoqiang Xu Jiaxin Li Xiaoping Ouyang Ying Li Cheng-Wei Qiu Jiping Huang 2023National Science Review2023,10,2:0
9Spectral Characteristics and Quantitative Analysis of Troxerutin-Cu^2+ Complex显示文摘[Objectives]This study aims to establish a simple,convenient,fast,low-cost,low-consumption and efficient method for quality control of troxerutin.[Methods]In NaAc-phosphate buffer at pH=8,troxerutin could react with Cu^2+to form complex,which had a characteristic absorption peak at 408 nm in the ultraviolet spectrum.The content of troxerutin could be determined indirectly by measuring the absorbance of the complex.[Results]Within the linear range of 27.82-74.19μg/mL,the absorbance of the complex has a good linear relationship with the concentration of troxerutin.The regression equation is A=0.0119C-0.1384(r=0.9991),and the detection limit is 1.59μg/mL.This method used to determine the content of troxerutin in samples from different manufacturers,and the recovery is 100.9%-102.7%.[Conclusions]The ultraviolet spectrophotometry is used in this experiment to indirectly determine the content of troxerutin by measuring the absorbance of troxerutin-Cu^2+complex,and the results are accurate,reproducible and highly precise.This method can be used for quantitative analysis of troxerutin.Yu LIN Liujun LIANG Wen LIU Zhenzhen PAN Fengfeng XIE 2020Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,3:0
