Tectonics of South China Continent and its implications显示文摘This paper aims at exploring the tectonic characteristics of the South China Continent(SCC)and extracting the universal tectonic rules from these characteristics,to help enrich the plate tectonic theory and better understand the continental dynamic system. For this purpose, here we conduct a multi-disciplinary investigation and combine it with the previous studies to reassess the tectonics and evolution of SCC and propose that the tectonic framework of the continent comprises two blocks, three types of tectonic units, four deformation systems, and four evolutionary stages with distinctive mechanism and tectonic characteristics since the Neoproterozoic. The four evolutionary stages are:(1)The amalgamation and break-up of the Neoproterozoic plates, typically the intracontinental rifting.(2)The early Paleozoic and Mesozoic intracontinental orogeny confined by plate tectonics, forming two composite tectonic domains.(3)The parallel operation of the Yangtze cratonization and intracontinental orogeny, and multi-phase reactivation of the Yangtze craton.(4)The association and differentiation evolution of plate tectonics and intracontinental tectonics, and the dynamic characteristics under the Meso-Cenozoic modern global plate tectonic regime. | ZHANG GuoWei GUO AnLin WANG YueJun LI SanZhong DONG YunPeng LIU ShaoFeng HE DengFa CHENG ShunYou LU RuKui YAO AnPing | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,11: | 88
Origin of gray-green sandstone in ore bed of sandstone type uranium deposit in north Ordos Basin显示文摘Dongsheng sandstone-type uranium deposit is located in the northern part of Ordos Basin, occurring in the transitional zones between gray-green and gray sandstones of Jurassic Zhiluo Formation. Sandstones in oxidized zone of the ore bed look gray-green, being of unique signature and different from one of ordinary inter-layered oxidation zone of sandstone-type uranium deposits. The character and origin of gray-green sandstones are systematically studied through their petrology, mineralogy and geochemistry. It is pointed out that this color of sandstones is originated from secondary oil-gas reduction processes after paleo-oxidation, being due to acicular-leaf chlorite covering surfaces of the sandstone grains. To find out the origin of gray-green sandstone and recognize paleo-oxidation zones in the ore bed are of not only theoretical significance for understanding metallogenesis of this kind of sandstone-type uranium deposit, but also very importantly practical significance for prospecting for similar kind of sandstone-type uranium deposit. | LI ZiYing FANG XiHeng CHEN AnPing OU GuangXi XIAO XinJian SUN Ye LIU ChiYang WANG Yi | 2007 | Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,z2: | 20
The impacts of climate extremes on the terrestrial carbon cycle:A review显示文摘The increased frequency of climate extremes in recent years has profoundly affected terrestrial ecosystem functions and the welfare of human society. The carbon cycle is a key process of terrestrial ecosystem changes. Therefore, a better understanding and assessment of the impacts of climate extremes on the terrestrial carbon cycle could provide an important scientific basis to facilitate the mitigation and adaption of our society to climate change. In this paper, we systematically review the impacts of climate extremes(e.g. drought, extreme precipitation, extreme hot and extreme cold) on terrestrial ecosystems and their mechanisms. Existing studies have suggested that drought is one of the most important stressors on the terrestrial carbon sink, and that it can inhibit both ecosystem productivity and respiration. Because ecosystem productivity is usually more sensitive to drought than respiration, drought can significantly reduce the strength of terrestrial ecosystem carbon sinks and even turn them into carbon sources. Large inter-model variations have been found in the simulations of drought-induced changes in the carbon cycle, suggesting the existence of a large gap in current understanding of the mechanisms behind the responses of ecosystem carbon balance to drought, especially for tropical vegetation. The effects of extreme precipitation on the carbon cycle vary across different regions. In general, extreme precipitation enhances carbon accumulation in arid ecosystems, but restrains carbon sequestration in moist ecosystems. However, current knowledge on the indirect effects of extreme precipitation on the carbon cycle through regulating processes such as soil carbon lateral transportation and nutrient loss is still limited. This knowledge gap has caused large uncertainties in assessing the total carbon cycle impact of extreme precipitation. Extreme hot and extreme cold can affect the terrestrial carbon cycle through various ecosystem processes. Note that the severity of such climate extremes depends greatly on their timing, which needs to be investigated thoroughly in future studies. In light of current knowledge and gaps in the understanding of how extreme climates affect the terrestrial carbon cycle, we strongly recommend that future studies should place more attention on the long-term impacts and on the driving mechanisms at different time scales.Studies based on multi-source data, methods and across multiple spatial-temporal scales, are also necessary to better characterize the response of terrestrial ecosystems to climate extremes. | Shilong PIAO Xinping ZHANG Anping CHEN Qiang LIU Xu LIAN Xuhui WANG Shushi PENG Xiuchen WU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,10: | 16
Geochemistry of the subduction-related magmatic rocks in the Dahong Mountains, northern Hubei Province--Constraint on the existence and subduction of the eastern Mianlüe oceanic basin显示文摘The existence and subduction of the eastern Mianl黣 oceanic basin in the south Qinling belt are keys to understand the Qinling orogen. Based on geological mapping, several volcanic slices have been identified in Tumen, Zhoujiawan, Xiaofu and Yuantan areas, which distribute in the northern margin of the Dahong Mountains (DHM), and thrust into the Sanli-gang-Sanyang fault. These slices consist mainly of diabases, basaltic-andesitic lavas, pyroclastic rocks and a minor tuff. The geochemistry of the basalts, andesites, and diabases is characterized by depleting in Nb and Ta, enriching in Th and LILE (e.g.K, Rb, Ba), and undifferentiating in HFSE. These geochemical characteristics suggest that the original magma of these rocks was derived from a mantle wedge above a subduction zone, and formed in an island-arc setting in Carboniferous-early Triassic. Comparing with the ophiolites and island-arc volcanic rocks in Mianxian-Leyang area to the west, it is reasonable to consider that there had been an oceanic basin connecting with the Mianle ancient ocean to the westward, distributing along the south edge of the Tongbai-Dabie block. In view of the ophiolite in Huashan area and these island-arc volcanic rocks along the north of the Dahong Mountains, it is suggested that there had been a plate tectonic evolutionary history with oceanic basin rifting and subduction in this region. | DONG Yunpeng, ZHANG Guowei, ZHAO Xia, YAO Anping & LIU Xiaoming The Key Laboratory of Continental Dynamics, Ministry of Education, Department of Geology, Northwest University, Xi抋n 710069,China | 2004 | Science China Earth Sciences2004,47,4: | 12
Recent progress of nanogenerators acting as biomedical sensors in vivo显示文摘Since the nanogenerator(NG) was invented in 2006, it has been successfully developed and utilized to harvest various forms of mechanical energy in vivo. The NGs promote the progress of self-powered biomedical devices. Moreover, NGs can also be used as sensors to detect a variety of important physiological signals, which brings us closer to real-time, high-fidelity monitoring of physical and pathological information. This paper summarizes the in vivo applications of NGs as biomedical sensors, including in cardiac sensors, respiration sensors, blood pressure sensors, gastrointestinal sensors and bladder sensors. However, there are still many challenges in using NGs as sensors in vivo. For example, how can we minimize and encapsulate the NGs, how can we increase the stability and reliability during long-term detection, and how can we establish a corresponding relationship between the NG’s electrical output and the physiological signals. It is also critical to follow the medical principles more closely in the development of self-powered sensors in the future. We believe that the self-powered sensors would promote the development of the next-generation healthcare monitoring systems. | Jinyan Sun Anping Yang Chaochao Zhao Fang Liu Zhou Li | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,18: | 9
Natural gas geochemistry and its origins in Kuqa depression显示文摘According to gas compositional and carbon isotopic measurement of 114 gas samples from the Kuqa depression, accumulation of the natural gases in the depression is dominated by hydrocarbon gases, with high gas dryness(C1/C1-4)at the middle and northern parts of the depression and low one towards east and west sides and southern part. The carbon isotopes of methane and its homologues are relatively enriched in 13 C,and the distributive range ofδ13C 1 ,δ13C 2 andδ13C 3 is-32‰―-36‰,-22‰―-24‰and-20‰―-22‰,respectively.In general, the carbon isotopes of gaseous alkanes become less negative with the increase of carbon numbers.Theδ13C CO2 value is less than-10‰in the Kuqa depression, indicating its organogenic origin. The distributive range of 3 He/ 4 He ratio is within n×10-8 and a decrease in 3 He/ 4 He ratio from north to south in the depression is observed.Based on the geochemical parameters of natural gas above, natural gas in the Kuqa depression is of characteristics of coal-type gas origin. The possible reasons for the partial reversal of stable carbon isotopes of gaseous alkanes involve the mixing of gases from one common source rock with different thermal maturity or from two separated source rock intervals of similar kerogen type, multistages accumulation of natural gas under high-temperature and over-pressure conditions, and sufficiency and diffusion of natural gas. | LIU QuanYou 1 ,QIN ShengFei 1 ,LI Jian 2 ,LIU WenHui 3 ,ZHANG DianWei 3 ,ZHOU QingHua 1 &HU AnPing 1 1 Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development,PetroChina,Beijing 100083,China 2 Langfang Branch of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development,PetroChina,Langfang 065007,China 3 Exploration and Production Research Institute,SINOPEC,Beijing 100083,China | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,S1: | 9
High density methane inclusions in Puguang Gasfield:Discovery and a T-P genetic study显示文摘Based on measurement of homogenization temperature of inclusions and Raman spectral analysis, high density methane inclusions were discovered in the Triassic reservoirs of Puguang Gasfield. The methane inclusions show a homogenization temperature Th = -117.5― -118.1℃, a corresponding density of 0.3455―0.3477 g/cm3, and a Raman scatter peak v1 shift varying between 2911―2910 cm-1, which signifies a very high density of methane inclusions. The salt water inclusions paragenetic with methane inclusions show a homogenization temperature Th=170―180℃. Based on the composition of methane inclusions as determined by Raman spectra, PVTsim software was used to simulate the trapping pressure for high density methane inclusions in geologic history, and the trapping pressure was found to be as high as 153―160 MPa. Even though Puguang Gasfield is currently a gas pool of normal pressure, and the fluid pressure for the gas pool ranges between 56―65 MPa. However, data from this study indicates that remarkable overpressure may be generated at the stage of mass production of gas cracked from oils in Cretaceous, as high density methane inclusions constitute key evidence for overpressure in gas pool in geologic history. Meanwhile, discovery of small amounts of H2S, CO2 or heavy hydrocarbon in part of the high density methane inclusions indicates that the geochemical environment for trapping of inclusions may be related to formation of H2S. Therefore, the observation results can help to explore the thermochemical sulfate reduction (TSR) conditions for oil cracking and H2S formation. | LIU Delian DAI JinXing XIAO XianMing TIAN Hui YANG Chun HU AnPing MI JingKui SONG ZhiGuang | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,24: | 8
Geochemical characteristics and origin of gases from the Upper,Lower Paleozoic and the Mesozoic reservoirs in the Ordos Basin,China显示文摘The Ordos Basin, the second largest sedimentary basin in China, contains the broad distribution of natural gas types. So far, several giant gas fields have been discovered in the Upper and Lower Paleozoic in this basin, each having over 1000×10 8 m 3 of proven gas reserves, and several gas pools have also been discovered in the Mesozoic. This paper collected the data of natural gases and elucidated the geochemical characteristics of gases from different reservoirs, and then discussed their origin. For hydrocarbons preserved in the Upper Paleozoic, the elevatedδ13C values of methane, ethane and propane indicate that the gases would be mainly coal-formed gases;the singular reversal in the stable carbon isotopes of gaseous alkanes suggests the mixed gases from humic sources with different maturity. In the Lower Paleozoic,theδ13C 1 values are mostly similar with those in the Upper Paleozoic, but theδ13C 2 andδ13C 3 values are slightly lighter, suggesting that the gases would be mixing of coal-type gases as a main member and oil-type gases. There are multiple reversals in carbon isotopes for gaseous alkanes, especially abnormal reversal for methane and ethane(i.e.δ13C 1 >δ13C 2 ),inferring that gases would be mixed between high-mature coal-formed gases and oil-type gases. In the Mesozoic, the δ13Cvalues for gaseous alkanes are enriched in 12C,indicating that the gases are mainly derived from sapropelic sources;the carbon isotopic reversal for propane and butane in the Mesozoic is caused by microbial oxidation and mixing of gases from sapropelic sources with different maturity. In contrast to the Upper Paleozoic gases, the Mesozoic gases are characterized by heavier carbon isotopes of iso-butane than normal butane, which may be caused by gases generated from different kerogen types. Finally, according toδ13C 1 -Ro relationship and extremely low total organic carbon contents, the Low Paleozoic gases would not be generated from the Ordovician source as a main gas source, bycontrast, the Upper Paleozoic source as a main gas source is contributed to the Lower Paleozoic gases. | HU AnPing 1 ,Li Jian 2 ,ZHANG WenZheng 3 ,LI ZhiSheng 2 ,HOU Lu 4 &LIU QuanYou 5 1 Department of Earth Sciences,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou 310027,China 2 Langfang Branch,Reasearch Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development,PetroChina,Langfang 065007,China 3 Institute of Exploration and Development,PetroChina Changqing Oilfield Company,Xi’an 710021,China 4 University of Petroleum,Beijing102249,China 5 PetroChina Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development,Beijing 100083,China | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,S1: | 6
Mechanism of separating pyrite and dolomite by flotation显示文摘To study the mechanism of separating pyrite and dolomite by flotation, the acting mechanisms of WHL depressor and both the minerals were studied by means of thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), Fourier transform infra-red-diffuse reflection spectroscopy (FTIR-DRS), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results indicated that WHL formed metal salts with metal ions dissolved in water from dolomite and pyrite, which then deposited on their surfaces. Both of the minerals could be depressed by WHL. In the process of flotation, sulfur was created besides the WHL being absorbed on the surface of the sulfur concentrate, and its recovery rate was slightly affected. | Anping Liu Wen Ni Wei Wu | 2007 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2007,14,4: | 6
Catalysis of organic pollutant photodegradation by metal phthalocyanines immobilized on TiO_2@SiO_2显示文摘A TiO2@SiO2 hybrid support was prepared by the sol-precipitation method using n-octylamine as a template. The photocatalyst manganese phthalocyanine tetrasulfonic acid (MnPcS) was immobilized on the support to form MnPcS-TiO2@SiO2.X-ray diffraction (XRD) and UV-Visible diffuse reflectance spectra (UV-Vis DRS) were employed to characterize the catalyst. The photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) and the catalytic oxidation of o-phenylenediamine (OPDA) under visible light irradiation were used as probe reactions. The mineralization efficiency and the degradation mechanism were evaluated using chemical oxygen demand (COD Cr) assays and electron spin resonance (ESR),respectively.RhB was efficiently degraded by immobilized MnPcS-TiO2@SiO2 under visible light irradiation.Complete decolorization of RhB occurred after 240 min of irradiation and 64.02% COD Cr removal occurred after 24 h of irradiation.ESR results indicated that the oxidation process was dominated by the hydroxyl radical (·OH) and superoxide radical (O-·2) generated in the system. | WANG ShuLian FANG YanFen YANG Yong LIU JunZi DENG AnPing ZHAO XiaoRong HUANG YingPing | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,10: | 5

A notary group-based cross-chain mechanism显示文摘As an emerging distributed technology, blockchain has begun to penetrate into many fields such as finance, healthcare, supply chain, intelligent transportation. However, the interoperability and value exchange between different independent blockchain systems is restricting the expansion of blockchain. In this paper, a notary group-based cross-chain interaction model is proposed to achieve the interoperability between different blockchains. Firstly, a notary election mechanism is proposed to choose one notary from the notary group to act as a bridge for cross-chain transactions. Secondly, a margin pool is introduced to limit the misconduct of the elected notary and ensure the value transfer between the involved blockchains. Moreover, a reputation based incentive mechanism is used to encourage members of the notary group to participate in cross-chain transactions. Ethereum-based experiments demonstrate that the proposed mechanism can provide an acceptable performance for cross-chain transactions and provide a higher security level than ordinary cross-chain mechanisms. | Anping Xiong Guihua Liu Qingyi Zhu Ankui Jing Seng W.Loke | 2022 | Digital Communications and Networks2022,8,6: | 3
Preparation and evaluation of bis(diallyl alkyl tertiary ammonium salt) polymer as a promising adsorbent for phosphorus removal显示文摘Problems associated with water eutrophication due to high phosphorus concentrations and related environmentally safe solutions have attracted wide attention.A novel bis(diallyl alkyl tertiary ammonium salt)polymer, particularly poly(N1,N1,N6,N6-tetraallylhexane-1,6-diammonium dichloride)(PTAHDADC),was synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, scanning electron microscopy, mercury intrusion method, and thermogravimetric analysis. The adsorption characteristics in phosphorus were evaluated in dilute solution, and the recycling properties of PTAHDADC were investigated. Results showed that PTAHDADC possessed macropores with a size distribution ranging from 30 to 130μm concentrating at 63μm in diameter and had 46.52%of porosity, excellent thermal stability below 530 K,and insolubility.PTAHDADC could effectively remove phosphorus at p H=7–11 and had a removal efficiency exceeding 98.4%at pH=10–11.The adsorption equilibrium data of PTAHDADC for phosphorus accorded well with the Langmuir and pseudo-second-order kinetic models.Maximum adsorption capacity was 52.82 mg/g at 293 K.PTAHDADC adsorbed phosphorus rapidly and reached equilibrium within 90 min.Calculated activation energy Eawas 15.18 k J/mol.PTAHDADC presented an excellent recyclability with only 8.23%loss of removal efficiency after five adsorption–desorption cycles. The morphology and structure of PTAHDADC slightly changed as evidenced by the pre-and post-adsorption of phosphorus, but the process was accompanied by the partial deprotonation of the(–CH2)3-NH+group of PTAHDADC.The adsorption was a spontaneous exothermic process driven by entropy through physisorption, electrostatic attraction, and ion exchange.Survey results showed that PTAHDADC was a highly efficient and fast-adsorbing phosphorus-removal material prospective in treating wastewater. | Zhengchi Yang Lihua Liu Lu Zhao Gang Su Zuoxiao Wei Anping Tang Jianrong Xue | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,12: | 3

Characteristics of particle size distributions for the collapsed riverbank along the desert reach of the upper Yellow River显示文摘As a result of the interaction between hydrodynamics and the effects of gravity, riverbank collapse is a common occurrence in the desert reach of the upper Yellow River(also called as Ningxia-Mongolia Inner reach),of which the riverbank may be divided into three types such as sandy riverbank in the widevalley desert reach,silt-deposition riverbank on the fluvial plain and silt-sandy riverbank. The characteristics of both typical riverbank collapse and the particle size distributions(PSDs) for collapsed riverbanks of sandy,silt-deposition,and silt-sandy types were determined from analysis of data obtained from the field observations. It was found that particles from the silt-deposition riverbank had the smallest median size and those from the sandy riverbank the largest, with those from the silt-sandy riverbank being intermediate in size. The PSDs of the sandy and silt-deposition riverbanks exhibited double-peaked and single-peaked structures, respectively, while those of the silt-sandy riverbank exhibited multiple peaks.Furthermore, the corresponding to three kinds of riverbank collapse mechanisms were revealed,These results are significant with regard both to the understanding of river dynamics and to the planning of river harnessing projects. | Anping Shu Fanghua Li Haifei Liu Guosheng Duan Xing Zhou | 2016 | International Journal of Sediment Research2016,31,4: | 3

Emerging Negative Warming Impacts on Tibetan Crop Yield显示文摘Preserving Tibet’s unique history and cultural heritage relies on the sustainability of the Tibetan croplands, which are characterized by highland barley, the only cereal crop cultivated over 4000 m above sea level.Yet it is unknown how these croplands will respond to climate change. Here, using yield statistics from 1985 to 2015,we found that the impact of temperature anomalies on the Tibetan crop yield shifted from nonsignificant(P>0.10)in the 1980s and 1990s to significantly negative(P<0.05)in recent years.Meanwhile, the apparent sensitivity of the crop yield to temperature anomalies almost doubled,from(–0.13±0.20)to(–0.22±0.14)t·ha^(-1)℃^(–1).The emerging negative impacts of higher temperatures suggest an increasing vulnerability of Tibetan croplands to warmer climate. With global warming scenarios of+1.5 or+2.0℃above the pre-industry level, the temperature sensitivities of crop yield may further increase to(–0.33±0.10)and(–0.51±0.18)t·ha^(-1)℃^(–1),respectively,making the crops 2–3 times more vulnerable to warmer temperatures than they are today. | Tsechoe Dorji Shilong Piao Xuhui Wang Chuang Zhao Baohua Liu Anping Chen Shiping Wang Tao Wang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,7: | 2
Comparing community birdwatching and professional bird monitoring with implications for avian diversity research: a case study of Suzhou, China显示文摘Background:In the past decades, birdwatching as a hobby developed rapidly and produced ample scientific records that have aided conservation efforts. Therefore,it is increasingly attractive to promote avian research by providing data from birdwatching. Methods:We compared records from 16 years of community birdwatching and a 1-year formalized bird monitoring in Suzhou,China to study the similarities and differences between the two monitoring methods. Results:We showed that within the 325 bird species recorded by the two methods,an annual average of 108 species were documented by community science and 223 bird species were recorded by 1-year formalized monitoring.Measured by the number of bird species recorded per survey trip, the bird monitoring activity of community birdwatchers was significantly lower.Furthermore, the monitoring intensity of community birdwatching measured as the average survey trips per site each survey year was also lower than that of formalized bird monitoring. In addition, community birdwatchers preferred urban landscapes to rural areas. Conclusions:Community birdwatching could record the majority of local birds and complements the professional surveys in avian research.Well designed and coordinated community science can be used to expand the knowledge about avian distribution and population dynamics. These findings are critical for the development of conservation science with regard to community involvement. | Yan Zhou Anping Chen Jenny QOuyang Yanlin Liu Aiyu Zheng Zaixi Yang Yong Zhang Bin Wang Yifei Jia Shengwu Jiao Qing Zeng Changhu Lu | 2020 | Avian Research2020,11,2: | 2
