1Microvascular decompression in patients with hemifacial spasm: report of 1200 cases显示文摘Background Microvascular Decompression (MVD) operation is the most reliable treatment for hemifacial spasm (HFS), but it causes many complications. The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate the factors relavent to the effects and postoperative complications of microvascular decompression on hemifacial spasm. Methods A total of 1200 HFS patients treated with MVD were studied retrospectively. The root exit zone (REZ) of the facial nerve was exposed through the infraflocculus approach, the offending vessels were identified and separated from the REZ, and a Teflon graft was interposed between the offending vessels and the brain stem. Brain stem auditory evoked potential (AEP) was monitored intraoperatively. Results The offending vessels can be identified in all patients. The anteroinferior cerebellar artery was the main offending vessel (42.6%). Patients with vertebral artery compression had a multiple vascular compression fashion. Follow-up for 2-10 years (mean 4.2 years) showed that 88.7% patients were cured and 5.6% relieved, with an effective rate of 94.3%. Recurrence rate was 3.2%, and the ineffective rate was 2.6%. The most frequent complication was hearing dysfunction (2.8%). Conclusions MVD is the most definitive treatment method of HFS. The key procedures of this operation include adequate exposure of the REZ, identification of the offending vessels, and proper positioning of Teflon grafts. 2Human natural killer cells for targeting delivery of gold nanostars and bimodal imaging directed photothermal/photodynamic therapy and immunotherapy显示文摘Objective:To construct a novel nanoplatform GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK by loading the CaCO3-coated gold nanostars(GNSs)with Chlorin e6 molecules(Ce6)into human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)-derived NK cells for tumor targeted therapy.Methods:GNS@CaCO3/Ce6 nanoparticles were prepared and characterized by TEM and UV-vis.The cell surface markers and cytokines secretion of NK cells before and after loading the GNS@CaCO3/Ce6 nanoparticles were detected by Flow Cytometry(FCM)and ELISA.Effects of the GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK cells on A549 cancer cells was determined by FCM and CCK-8.Intracellular fluorescent signals of GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK cells were detected via Confocal laser scanning microscopic(CLSM)and FCM at different time points.Intracellular ROS generation of GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK cells under laser irradiation were examined by FCM.The distribution of GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK in A549 tumor-bearing mice were observed by fluorescence imaging and PA imaging.The combination therapy of GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK under laser irradiation were investigated on tumor-bearing mice.Results:The coated CaC03 shell on the surface of GNSs exhibited prominent delivery and protection effect of Ce6 during the cellular uptake process.The as-prepared multifunctional GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK cells possessed bimodal functions of fluorescence imaging and photoacoustic imaging.The as-prepared multifunctional GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK cells could actively target tumor tissues with the enhanced photothermal/photodynamic therapy and immunotherapy.Conclusions:The GNS@CaCO3/Ce6-NK shows effective tumor-targeting ability and prominent therapeutic efficacy toward lung cancer A549 tumor-bearing mice.Through fully utilizing the features of GNSs and NK cells,this new nanoplatform provides a new synergistic strategy for enhanced photothermal/photodynamic therapy and immunotherapy in the field of anticancer development in the near future.Bin Liu Wen Cao Jin Cheng Sisi Fan Shaojun Pan Lirui Wang Jiaqi Niu Yunxiang Pan Yanlei Liu Xiyang Sun Lijun Ma Jie Song Jian Ni Daxiang Cui 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,4:7
3Solid-phase Crystallization of Amorphous Silicon Films by Rapid Thermal Annealing显示文摘The morphous silicon films prepared by PECVD at substrate temperatures of 30℃ have been crystallized by rapid thermal annealing method, the budget of time-temperature in the annealing process is 600℃ for 120s, 850℃ for 120s, and 950℃ for 120s. 4Identification of stably expressed QTL for resistance to black shank disease in tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.) line Beinhart 1000-1显示文摘Cigar line Beinhart 1000-1 has effective durable resistance to black shank(BS) and is considered one of the most resistant sources in tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.). To investigate the inheritance and identification of stable quantitative trait loci(QTL) for BS response, F2,BC1 F2 individuals and BC1 F2:3 lines were produced from a cross between Beinhart 1000-1 and Xiaohuangjin 1025. Two major quantitative trait loci(M-QTL) named qBS7 and qBS17 were repeatedly detected under different conditions. QTL qBS7 was mapped to the region between PT30174 and PT60621 and explained 17.40%–25.60% of the phenotypic variance under different conditions. The other QTL qBS17 in interval PT61564–PT61538 of linkage group 17 was detected in a BC1 F2 population in the field and in BC1 F2:3 in both the field and at the seedling stage, explaining 6.90% to 11.60% of the phenotypic variance. 6High-density SNP genetic linkage map construction and quantitative trait locus mapping for resistance to cucumber mosaic virus in tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.)显示文摘Genetic linkage maps are essential for studies of genetics, genomic structure, and genomic evolution, and for mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL). Identification of molecular markers and construction of genetic linkage maps in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.), a classical model plant and important economic crop, have remained limited. In the present study we identified a large number of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers and constructed a high-density SNP genetic map for tobacco using restriction site-associated DNA sequencing. In 1216.30 Gb of clean sequence obtained using the Illumina HiSeq 2000 sequencing platform, 99,647,735 SNPs were identified that differed between 203 sequenced plant genomes and the tobacco reference genome. Finally, 13,273 SNP markers were mapped on 24 high-density tobacco genetic linkage groups. The entire linkage map spanned 3421.80 cM, with a mean distance of 0.26 cM between adjacent markers. Compared with genetic linkage maps published previously, this version represents a considerable improvement in the number and density of markers. Seven QTL for resistance to cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) in tobacco were mapped to groups 5 and 8. 7ADSORPTION OF LDL ON THE MODIFIED CHITOSAN显示文摘In this paper, the selective adsorption of LDL on chitosan modified with PEG and Asp. was studied. The adsorption rate of LDL and HDL on the double modified chitosan was 57% and 12% respectively. The results shown that the double modified chitosan can be used a adsorbent for selective binding to LDL. 10Studies on the Programmed Cell Death in Rice During Starchy Endosperm Development显示文摘Morphological variations of the nucleus in starchy endosperm cell were observed by theelectron-transmisson microscope during endosperm development in rice. Along with thedevelopment of the starchy endosperm, the nuclei of the cells showed chromatin condensation,the typical feature of programmed cell death (PCD). The nuclei also showed nucleusdeformation, disruption of nuclear envelope, nucleoplasm leaking into the cytoplasm andnucleus disintegration resulting in nuclear residue formation. From the nucleus deformationto the nucleus disintegration, the morphological changes of the nucleus were orderlyprogressive. This indicated that the cell death of starchy endosperm in rice wasprogrammed cell death. Evans Blue staining observation showed that the cell death wasinitially detected in the central part of starchy endosperm in rice, then expandedoutward. The activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) in rice starchyendosperm both descended continuously as development progressed. The analysis of DNA ofrice starchy endosperm did not show the presence of DNA laddering. 11Comparative transcriptome analysis reveals differential gene expression in resistant and susceptible tobacco cultivars in response to infection by cucumber mosaic virus显示文摘Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV) is one of the most severe viral diseases transmitted by aphids infecting Solanum crops in China, causing great losses of crop yields and income in rural communities.The tobacco cultivars NC82 and Taiyan 8 are closely related but differ in resistance to CMV.NC82 is susceptible to infection and Taiyan 8 is resistant, but the mechanisms underlying this difference in resistance are not clear.In this study, we conducted RNA sequencing to analyze changes in gene expression induced in the leaves of Taiyan 8 and NC82 upon systemic infection with CMV, compared with gene expression in the leaves of mock-inoculated plants.Leaves were sampled at one, three, eight, and 15 days after infection.In total, 3443 and 747 differentially expressed genes were identified in Taiyan 8 and NC82, respectively.Gene ontology and pathway enrichment analyses revealed that the different responses to CMV infection between cultivars were based on microtubulebased processes, pentose and glucuronate interconversions, plant–pathogen interaction,and hormone signal transduction pathways.Genes encoding pathogenesis-related proteins, disease-resistance proteins, lipoxygenase, cellulose synthase, an auxin response factor, and an ethylene receptor showed different expression patterns.The differences in gene expression following CMV infection likely contributed to the different resistance levels of these two tobacco cultivars.The comprehensive transcriptome dataset described here,which includes candidate response genes, will serve as a resource for further studies of the molecular mechanisms associated with tobacco defense responses against CMV.Dan Liu Yazeng Cheng Min Gong Qiang Zhao Caihong Jiang Lirui Cheng Min Ren Yuanying Wang Aiguo Yang 2019The Crop Journal2019,7,3:2

13Effects of Different Dietary Energy and Protein Levels on Meat Performance and Meat Quality of Jinghai Yellow Chickens显示文摘To investigate the effect of different dietary energy and protein levels on meat performance and meat quality of Jinghai yellow chickens,480 43-day old Jinghai yellow chickens with similar weight were randomly divided into four experimental groups: experimental group 1( protein 15%,metabolic energy 9. 95 MJ /kg),experimental group 2( protein 16%,metabolic energy 10. 95 MJ /kg),experimental group 3( protein 17%,metabolic energy 12. 65 MJ /kg) and experimental group 4( protein 18%,metabolic energy 13. 95 MJ /kg),respectively. All chickens were slaughtered at 112-day old. The breast and leg muscles of Jinghai yellow chickens were collected,to determine the slaughter performance,conventional meat quality and muscle chemical indicators. 19Moment Analysis of a Rice-Pile Model显示文摘Large scale simulations of a rice-pile model are performed. We use moment analysis techniques to evaluate critical exponents and data collapse method to verify the obtained results. The moment analysis yields well-defined avalanche exponents, which show that the rice-pile model can be coherently described within a finite size scaling framework.
