4A mussel-inspired supramolecular hydrogel with robust tissue anchor for rapid hemostasis of arterial and visceral bleedings显示文摘In recent years,the developed hemostatic technologies are still difficult to be applied to the hemostasis of massive arterial and visceral hemorrhage,owing to their weak hemostatic function,inferior wet tissue adhesion,and low mechanical properties.Herein,a mussel-inspired supramolecular interaction-cross-linked hydrogel with robust mechanical property(308.47±29.20 kPa)and excellent hemostatic efficiency(96.5%±2.1%)was constructed as a hemostatic sealant.Typically,we combined chitosan(CS)with silk fibroin(SF)by cross-linking them through tannic acid(TA)to maintain the structural stability of the hydrogel,especially for wet tissue adhesion ability(shear adhesive strength=29.66±0.36 kPa).Compared with other materials reported previously,the obtained CS/TA/SF hydrogel yielded a lower amount of blood loss and shorter time to hemostasis in various arterial and visceral bleeding models,which could be ascribed to the synergistic effect of wound closure under wet state as well as intrinsic hemostatic activity of CS.As a superior hemostatic sealant,the unique hydrogel proposed in this work can be exploited to offer significant advantages in the acute wound and massive hemorrhage with the restrictive access of therapeutic moieties.Ziwen Qiao Xueli Lv Shaohua He Shumeng Bai Xiaochen Liu Linxi Hou Jingjing He Dongmei Tong Renjie Ruan Jin Zhang Jianxun Ding Huanghao Yang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:14

11Electron transfer dynamics in Schottky junction photocatalyst during electron donor-assisted hydrogen production显示文摘Electron donors(EDs)are widely used to improve the H 2 production performance of Schottky junction photocatalysts,but the functions of EDs are still unknown from the perspective of electron transfer dy-namics.Herein,Pt nanocluster-decorated CdS nanorod is successfully prepared to construct a typical CdS/Pt Schottky junction.Pt nanoclusters with a diameter of∼2 nm are deposited on the surface of CdS nanorods by in situ photoreduction at sub-zero temperature.The CdS/Pt photocatalyst using lactic acid shows a higher H_(2)production rate of 4762μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)compared to that using methanol,tri-ethanolamine,and glycerol.To understand the cause,the dynamics of photogenerated carriers in CdS/Pt photocatalysts during ED-assisted H_(2)production are revealed by femtosecond transient absorption spec-troscopy.Among the four organic EDs,lactic acid enables the fastest electron transfer rate of 1.8×10^(9)s^(-1)and the highest electron transfer efficiency of 76%at the CdS/Pt interface due to the most efficient hole consumption.This work sheds light on the importance of efficient interfacial electron transfer for im-proving the photocatalytic performance of Schottky junction photocatalysts.Jianjun Zhang Jingjing Liu Zheng Meng Sanjib Jana Linxi Wang Bicheng Zhu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,28:0
12Constrained multiobjective robust optimization of a bistable mechanism for inertial switch显示文摘This paper proposes an optimization method for finding the optimal design of a bistable mechanism with a desired performance that is robust to structural and material uncertainties.Using interval numbers to characterize the uncertainties in the structural parameters and materials,we present a nonprobabilistic multiobjective optimization model and transform it into a single objective optimization model using a penalty function.The sensitivity of the mechanical performance of bistable structures to uncertain parameters was analyzed,and the design parameters with notable effects on the bistable performance were identified as optimization variables.A neural network-based proxy model for the nonlinear characteristics of the bistable mechanism was established,and its accuracy was validated through finite element outcomes.Based on this model,a two-layer nested genetic algorithm was employed to solve the multiobjective robust optimization problem of the bistable structures with critical forces and a second stable position.The effectiveness of the optimization method was verified by comparing it with the finite element and experimental results.The proposed method was applied in the design of silicon-based inertial switches.LIU Min WANG WeiDong ZHU YingMin YUAN YangBo NIU YanXu DONG LinXi WANG ChenYing JIANG Kyle CHEN GuiMin 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,11:0
