1Fabrication of chitosan microspheres for efficient adsorption of methyl orange显示文摘In this article, morphology, structure and size controllable chitosan microspheres with high mechanical strength were synthesized by microfluidic technology combining chemical crosslinking and used as an adsorbent for methyl orange. The synthesized adsorbents were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), and an Energy Dispersive Spectrometer(EDS). The effect of pH revealed that the adsorption process depended on pH and the pH variation of methyl orange solution after adsorption indicated that adsorption capacity was affected through the associated role of chitosan nature and pH variation. Experimental results suggested that the as-prepared chitosan microspheres were controlled within a narrow size distribution(coefficients of variation is 1.81%), whose adsorption capacity reached to 207 mg·g^(-1) and mechanical strength was suitable to resist forces. 4Atomic Spin Polarization Controllability Analysis:A Novel Controllability Determination Method for Spin-Exchange Relaxation-Free Co-Magnetometers显示文摘This paper investigates the atomic spin polarization controllability of spin-exchange relaxation-free co-magnetometers(SERFCMs).This is the first work in the field of controllability analysis for the atomic spin ensembles systems,whose dynamic behaviors of spin polarization are described by the Bloch equations.Based on the Bloch equations,a state-space model of the atomic spin polarization for SERFCM is first established,which belongs to a particular class of nonlinear systems.For this class of nonlinear systems,a novel determination method for the global state controllability is proposed and proved.Then,this method is implemented in the process of controllability analysis on the atomic spin polarization of an actual SERFCM.Moreover,a theoretically feasible and reasonable solution of the control input is proposed under some physical constraints,with whose limitation of realistic conditions,the controller design can be accomplished more practically and more exactly.Finally,the simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and validation of the proposed controllability determination method.Zhuo Wang Sixun Liu Ruigang Wang Linlin Yuan Jiong Huang Yueyang Zhai Sheng Zou 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,4:0
5Contents of Heavy Metals in Typical Aquatic Products from a Market in Binzhou显示文摘To evaluate the levels of heavy metal pollution and risks in consumption of aquatic products from a market in Binzhou,the contents of Cu,Zn,Cd,Cr and Pb in the edible part of eight aquatic species such as Ctenopharyngodon idellus were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.The results show that the levels of the five elements differed among different species of aquatic products.The ability of bivalves to accumulate heavy metals was significantly higher than that of fish.Compared with relevant food hygiene standards,there was a certain excess of Cr in Ruditapes philippinarum and Penaeus vannamei.The results of human exposure risk assessment show that the THQ values of the heavy metals in the eight aquatic species were all less than 1,indicating that the consumption of these aquatic products had no potential non-carcinogenic risks.Xuekang ZHANG Zaiwang ZHANG Zhuang REN Linlin ZHAO Hui YU Shenqiang ZHAI 2019Asian Agricultural Research2019,11,11:0
6CD34^(+)CD38^(-)subpopulation without CD123 and CD44 is responsible for LSC and correlated with imbalance of immune cell subsets in AML显示文摘Acute myeloid leukemia(AML)is regarded as a stem cell disease.However,no one unique marker is expressed on leukemia stem cells(LSC)but not on leukemic blasts nor normal hematopoietic stem cells(HSC).CD34^(+)CD38^(-)with or without CD123 or CD44 subpopulations are immunophenotypically defined as putative LSC fractions in AML.Nevertheless,markers that can be effectively and simply held responsible for the intrinsical heterogeneity of LSC is still unclear.In the present study,we examined the frequency of three different LSC subtypes(CD34^(+)CD38^(-),CD34^(+)CD38^(-)CD123^(+),CD34^(+)CD38^(-)CD44^(+))in AML at diagnosis.We then validated their prognostic significance on the relevance of spectral features for diagnostic stratification,immune status,induction therapy response,treatment effect maintenance,and long^(-)term survival.In our findings,high proportions of the above three different LSC subtypes were all significantly characterized with low complete remission(CR)rate,high relapse/refractory rate,poor overall survival(OS),frequent FLT3^(-)ITD mutation,the high level of regulatory T cells(Treg)and monocytic myeloid^(-)derived suppressor cells(M^(-)MDSC).However,there was no significant statistical difference in all kinds of other clinical performance among the three different LSC groups.It was demonstrated that CD34^(+)CD38^(-)subpopulation without CD123 and CD44 might be held responsible for LSC and correlated with an imbalance of immune cell subsets in AML.QIANSHAN TAO QING ZHANG HUIPING WANG HAO XIAO MEI ZHOU LINLIN LIU HUI QIN JIYU WANG FURUN AN ZHIMIN ZHAI YI DONG 2022BIOCELL2022,46,1:0
7Aberrant expression of the extracellular matrix component Biglycan regulated by Hedgehog signalling promotes colorectal cancer cell proliferation显示文摘Hedgehog(Hh)signalling plays essential roles in regulating embryonic development and contributes to tumour initiation,growth and progression in multiple cancers.The detailed mechanism by which Hh signalling participates in tumour growth warrants thorough study,although several downstream target genes have been identified.Herein,a set of novel targets of Hh signalling was identified in multiple types of tumour cells via RNA-Seq analysis.Among these targets,the expression regulation and oncogenic function of the extracellular matrix component biglycan(BGN)were investigated.Further investigation verified that Hh signalling activates the expression of BGN via the transcription factor Gli2,which directly binds to the promoter region of BGN.Functional assays revealed that BGN facilitates tumour cell growth and proliferation in colorectal cancer(CRC)cells,and xenograft assays confirmed that BGN also promotes tumour growth in vivo.Moreover,analysis of clinical CRC samples showed that both the protein and mRNA levels of BGN are increased in CRC tissues compared to those in adjacent tissues,and higher expression of BGN is correlated with poorer prognosis of CRC patients,further confirming the function of BGN in CRC.Taken together,aberrantly activated Hh signalling increases the expression of BGN,possibly regulates the extracellular matrix,and thereby promotes tumour growth in CRC.Shaopeng Zeng Feifei Zhou Yiqing Wang Zhenyu Zhai Linlin Xu Hailong Wang Xinping Chen Shiwen Luo Minzhang Cheng 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,2:0
8ATF1 promotes the malignancy of lung adenocarcinoma cells by transcriptionally regulating ZNF143 expression显示文摘The clinical oncogenic functions and mechanisms of activating transcription factor 1(ATF1)in the progression of lung adenocarcinoma have not been completely elucidated.In this study,by employing human lung adenocarcinoma tissues and cells,we detect the correlation of ATF1 expression with the clinicopathological features and prognosis of patients with lung adenocarcinoma and find that ATF1 promotes lung adenocarcinoma cell proliferation and migration by transcriptionally enhancing zinc finger protein 143(ZNF143)expression.ATF1 and ZNF143 are strongly expressed in lung adenocarcinoma tissues compared with those in the adjacent normal tissues,and high ATF1 and ZNF143 expressions are related to poor disease-free survival of lung adenocarcinoma patients.ATF1 overexpression results in increased proliferation and migration of lung adenocarcinoma cells,whereas knockdown of ATF1 inhibits cell proliferation and migration.Furthermore,ATF1 transcriptionally regulates the expression of ZNF143,and ATF1 and ZNF143 expressions are positively correlated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues.ZNF143 knockdown blocks lung adenocarcinoma cell migration,which is mediated by ATF1 upregulation.Hence,this study provides a potential therapeutic candidate for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.Jinhong Mei Yu Liu Yiyun Sheng Ying Liu Limin Chen Hailong Wang Minzhang Cheng Zhenyu Zhai Linlin Xu 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,5:0
9LHD3 Encoding a J-Domain Protein Controls Heading Date in Rice显示文摘Heading date is one of the most important agronomic traits of rice,which critically affects rice ecogeographical adaptation,yield and quality.In this study,a late heading date 3(lhd3)mutant was screened from the^(60)Co-γirradiation mutant library.The lhd3 delayed heading date in rice under both short day and long day conditions.Map-based cloning combined with Mutmap strategy was adopted to isolate the causal LHD3 gene.The LHD3 gene encodes a DNA_J domain protein,which was ubiquitously expressed in various plant organs,and dominant expressed in stems and leaves.Subcellular localization analysis showed that LHD3 was localized to nucleus,indicating that LHD3 may interact with other elements to regulate the expression of flowering genes.The transcriptions of the heading activators Ehd1,Hd3a and RFT1 significantly decreased in the lhd3 mutant,suggesting that LHD3 may control the heading date through the Ehd1-Hd3a/RFT1 photoperiodic flowering pathway.The variation and haplotype analyses of the genomic region of LHD3 showed that there were 7 haplotypes in the LHD3 region from 4702 accessions.The haplotypes of LHD3 can be divided into two classes:class a and class b,and the heading dates of these two classes were significantly different.Further study showed that two single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs),SNP10(G2100C)in Hap II and SNP3(C861T)in Hap VII,may be the functional sites causing early and late heading in accessions.Nucleotide diversity analysis showed LHD3 had been selected in the indica population,rather than in the japonica population.Therefore,the present study sheds light on the regulation of LHD3 on heading date in rice and suggests that LHD3 is a novel promising new target for rice molecular design and breeding improvement.LIU Qiao QIU Linlin HUA Yangguang LI Jing PANG Bo ZHAI Yufeng WANG Dekai 2023Rice science2023,30,5:0
