Effects of surfactants on graphene oxide nanoparticles transport in saturated porous media显示文摘Transport behaviors of graphene oxide nanoparticles(GONPs) in saturated porous media were examined as a function of the presence and concentration of anionic surfactant(SDBS)and non-ionic surfactant(Triton X-100) under different ionic strength(IS). The results showed that the GONPs were retained obviously in the sand columns at both IS of 50 and200 mmol/L, and they were more mobile at lower IS. The presence and concentration of surfactants could enhance the GONP transport, particularly as observed at higher IS. It was interesting to see that the GONP transport was surfactant type dependent, and SDBS was more effective to facilitate GONP transport than Triton X-100 in our experimental conditions. The advection–dispersion–retention numerical modeling followed this trend and depicted the difference quantitatively. Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek(DLVO)interaction calculations also were performed to interpret these effects, indicating that secondary minimum deposition was critical in this study.Wei Fan Xuehui Jiang Ying Lu Mingxin Huo Shanshan Lin Zhi Geng 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,9:6
Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population, consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. We show that the newly developed soybean EMS mutant population has potential for functional genomics research and genetic improvement in soybean.Zhongfeng Li Lingxue Jiang Yansong Ma Zhongyan Wei Huilong Hong Zhangxiong Liu Jinhui Lei Ying Liu Rongxia Guan Yong Guo Longguo Jin Lijuan Zhang Yinghui Li Yulong Ren Wei He Ming Liu Nang Myint Phyu Sin Htwe Lin Liu Bingfu Guo Jian Song Bing Tan Guifeng Liu Maiquan Li Xianli Zhang Bo Liu Xuehui Shi Sining Han Sunan Hua Fulai Zhou Lili Yu Yanfei Li Shuang Wang Jun Wang Ruzhen Chang Lijuan Qiu 2017Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2017,59,1:6
Nb_5N_6 thin film on silicon and silicon oxide: A good material for terahertz detection显示文摘Voltage responsivity of bolometer will benefit from high temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of the material. The Nb5N6 thin solid films we proposed in this paper have high TCR, compared with the commonly-used materials such as Nb and Bi. The films were sputtered on Si(100), SiO2/Si(100), SiO2 substrates by using radio frequency (rf) magnetron sputtering. The deposition conditions have been optimized to get high TCR. The highest TCR is over 0.91% K-1 at 300 K and up to 4.5% K -1―7% K-1 at 78 K, which is good enough to be used in terahertz detection and thermometer fabrication in the range from 78 K to 300 K.LU XueHui HE Ning KANG Lin CHEN Jian JIN BiaoBing WU PeiHeng 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,18:5
Translational Regulation of Plant Response to High Temperature by a Dual-Function tRNAHls Guanylyltransferase in Rice显示文摘As sessile organisms, plants have evolved numerous strategies to acclimate to changes in environmental temperature. However, the molecular basis of this acclimation remains largely unclear. In this study we identified a tRNAHis guanylyltransferase,AET1,which contributes to the modification of pre-tRNAH,s and is required for normal growth under high-temperature conditions in rice.Interestingly,AET1 possibly interacts with both RACK1A and elF3h in the endoplasmic reticulum.Notably,AET1 can directly bind to OsARF mRNAs including the uORFs of OsARF19 and OsARF23,indicating that AET1 is associated with translation regulation.Furthermore, polysome profiling assays suggest that the translational status remains unaffected in the aet1 mutant, but that the translational efficiency of OsARF19 and OsARF23 is reduced;moreover,OsARF23 protein levels are obviously decreased in the aet1 mutant under high temperature, implying that AET1 regulates auxin signaling in response to high temperature.Ourfindings provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms whereby AET1 regulates the environmental temperature response in rice by playing a dual role in tRNA modification and translational control.Ke Chen Tao Guo Xin-Min Li Yi-Min Zhang Yi-Bing Yang Wang-Wei Ye Nai-Qian Dong Chuan-Lin Shi Yi Kan You-Huang Xiang Hai Zhang Ya-Chao Li Ji-Ping Gao Xuehui Huang Qiang Zhao Bin Han Jun-Xiang Shan Hong-Xuan Lin 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,8:4
Enhancing rice grain production by manipulating the naturally evolved cis-regulatory element-containing inverted repeat sequence of OsREM20显示文摘Grain number per panicle(GNP)is an important agronomic trait that contributes to rice grain yield.Despite its importance in rice breeding, the molecular mechanism underlying GNP regulation remains largely unknown. In this study,we identified a previously unrecognized regulatory gene that controls GNP in rice,Oryza sativa REPRODUCTIVE MERISTEM 20(OsREM20),which encodes a B3 domain transcription factor.Through genetic analysis and transgenic validation we found that genetic variation in the CArG box-containing inverted repeat(IR)sequence of the OsREM20 promoter alters its expression level and contributes to GNP variation among rice varieties.Furthermore,we revealed that the IR sequence regulates OsREM20 expression by affecting the direct binding of OsMADS34 to the CArG box within the IR sequence.Interestingly, the divergent pOsREM20IR and pOsREM20ΔIR alleles were found to originate from different Oryza rufipogon accessions, and were independently inherited into the japonica and indica subspecies, respectively, during domestication.Importantly,we demonstrated that IR sequence variations in the OsREM20 promoter can be utilized for germplasm improvement through either genome editing or traditional breeding.Taken together, our study characterizes novel genetic variations responsible for GNP diversity in rice, reveals the underlying molecular mechanism in the regulation of agronomically important gene expression, and provides a promising strategy for improving rice production by manipulating the cis-regulatory element-containing IR sequence.Xiaowei Wu Yan Liang Hengbin Gao Jiyao Wang Yan Zhao Lekai Hua Yundong Yuan Ahong Wang Xiaohui Zhang Jiafan Liu Jie Zhou Xiangbing Meng Dahan Zhang Shaoyang Lin Xuehui Huang Bin Han Jiayang Li Yonghong Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,6:3
Dielectric and Ferroelectric Properties of BaTiO_3 Nanofibers Prepared via Electrospinning显示文摘BaTiO3 nanofibers of about 400 nm in diameter were synthesized via electrospinning. The evolution of the morphology and phase composition of the BaTiO3 nanofibers was studied by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction within the annealing temperature of 750-1050 ℃.Higher annealing temperature led to rougher surface and better crystallization of the BaTiO3 nanofibers.Below 1050 ℃,the BaTiO3 nanofibers maintained its large aspect ratios and could still be regarded as individual nanofiber. The dielectric permittivities of the BaTiO3 nanofibers(εr 820) were calculated with the MG equation by considering the porous bulk specimens as composites of BaTiO3 nanofibers and air.The ferroelectric properties of the BaTiO3nanofibers were measured by using a ferroelectric analyzer coupled with an atomic force microscope.P-E loop measured for the BaTiO3 nanofiber exhibits small hysteresis.Yan Wei Yu Song Xuliang Deng Bing Han Xuehui Zhang Yang Shen Yuanhua Lin 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,8:3
IDENTIFICATION OF ELASTIC-PLASTIC MECHANICAL PROPERTIES FOR BIMETALLIC SHEETS BY HYBRID-INVERSE APPROACH显示文摘Analysis, evaluation and interpretation of measured signals become important components in engineering research and practice, especially for material characteristic parameters which can not be obtained directly by experimental measurements. The present paper proposes a hybrid-inverse analysis method for the identification of the nonlinear material parameters of any individual component from the mechanical responses of a global composite. The method couples experimental approach, numerical simulation with inverse search method. The experimental approach is used to provide basic data. Then parameter identification and numerical simulation are utilized to identify elasto-plastic material properties by the experimental data obtained and inverse searching algorithm.A numerical example of a stainless steel clad copper sheet is considered to verify and show the applicability of the proposed hybrid-inverse method. In this example,a set of material parameters in an elasto-plastic constitutive model have been identified by using the obtained experimental data.Honglei Zhang Xuehui Lin Yanqun Wang Qian Zhang Yilan Kang 2010Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2010,23,1:2

The complete mitochondrial genome of the grey bamboo shark (Chiloscyllium griseum) (Orectolobiformes: Hemiscylliidae): genomic characterization and phylogenetic application显示文摘The complete mitochondrial genome of the grey bamboo shark, Chiloscyllium griseum (Orectolobiformes: Hemiscylliidae) was obtained, with a total of 16 755 base pairs (bp). The mitogenome encoded 13 proteincoding genes, two ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs and a noncoding control region, a gene arrangement identical to the most common type found in vertebrates. All tRNA sequences were folded into typical cloverleaf secondary structure with the exception of tRNA-Ser2, in which the DHU arm stem was replaced with 12 unpaired nucleotides and formed a simple loop. In the control region, the putative termination-associated sequences (TAS) with hairpin-loop structure and the conserved sequence blocks (CSB) Ⅰ-Ⅲ were identified and considered to be associated with the replication and transcription of mtDNA. No repeat motifs were found in the mitogenome of C. griseum. On the basis of the mitogenomic data available in the Class Chondrichthyes from both Genbank and this study, and the phylogenetic analyses using maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI) methods, the results strongly support the basal division between batoids and sharks and the monophyly of the Superorder Galeomorphii, and confirm the phylogenetic position of C. griseum in the Subclass Elasmobranchii. This study suggests that the mitogenomic data are more robust for reconstructing phylogenetic relationships than individual genes in the Elasmobranchii.CHEN Xiao AI Weiming YE Le WANG Xuehui LIN Chongwen YANG Shengyun 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,4:0

A STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF INTERFACIAL DAMAGE ON STRESS CONCENTRATIONS IN INTRAPLY HYBRID COMPOSITES显示文摘In the axial tensile failure process of intraply hybrid composites, the breakage of some fibers may lead to interfacial damage, thus directly influencing the local stress concentrations near the sites of breakage. A modified shear-lag model, in which the interfacial damage is considered, is proposed. Based on the model, the influence of interfacial shear strength on the stress concentrations and the lengths of interfacial damage zone is first studied. The present results also provide an important theoretical basis for investigating the failure mechanism and hybrid effects for such kind of composites.Zeng Qingdun Lin Xuehui (College of Traffic and Communications, South China University of Technology,Guangzhou 510640, China) 2001Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2001,14,2:0
A reference-grade genome assembly for Astragalus mongholicus and insights into the biosynthesis and high accumulation of triterpenoids and flavonoids in its roots显示文摘Astragalus membranaceus var.mongholicus(AMM),a member of the Leguminosae,is one of the most important medicinal plants worldwide. The dried roots of AMM have a wide range of pharmacological effects and are a traditional Chinese medicine. Here,we report the first chromosome-level reference genome of AMM,comprising nine pseudochromosomes with a total size of 1.47 Gb and 27868 protein-encoding genes.Comparative genomic analysis reveals that AMM has not experienced an independent wholegenome duplication(WGD)event after the WGD event shared by the Papilionoideae species.Analysis of long terminal repeat retrotransposons suggests a recent burst of these elements at approximately 0.13 million years ago, which may explain the large size of the AMM genome.Multiple gene families involved in the biosynthesis of triterpenoids and flavonoids were expanded, and our data indicate that tandemduplication has been the main driver for expansion of these families.Among the expanded families, the phenylalanine ammonia-lyase gene family was primarily expressed in the roots of AMM,suggesting their roles in the biosynthesis of phenylpropanoid compounds. The functional versatility of 2,3-oxidosqualene cyclase genes in cluster Ⅲ may play a critical role in the diversification of triterpenoids in AMM.Our findings provide novel insights into triterpenoid and flavonoid biosynthesis and can facilitate future research on the genetics and medical applications of AMM.Yi Chen Ting Fang He Su Sifei Duan Ruirui Ma Ping Wang Lin Wu Wenbin Sun Qichen Hu Meixia Zhao Lianjun Sun Xuehui Dong 2023Plant Communications2023,4,2:0

Iron-doped Ag/Ni_(2)(CO_(3))(OH)_(2)hierarchical microtubes for highly efficient water oxidation显示文摘Doping of foreign atoms and construction of unique structures are considered as effective approaches to design high-activity and strongdurability electrocatalysts.Herein,we report Fe-doped nickel hydroxide carbonate hierarchical microtubes with Ag nanoparticles(denoted Ag/NiFeHC HMTs)through hydrolysis precipitation process.Experimental tests and density functional theory calculations reveal that Fe doping can tune the electron configuration to enhance the conductivity, markedly improve the electrochemical surface area to expose more active sites, and act as reactive centers to lower the free energy of the rate determination step.In addition, the unique hierarchical structure can also offer active sites and excellent cycling stability.Benefitting from these advantages, the as-obtained Ag/NiFeHC HMTs show excellent oxygen evolution reaction activity, with an overpotential of 208 mV at 10 mA cm^(−2)in 1.0M KOH.Also,it could achieve long-term stability at a current density of 20 mA cm^(−2)for 24 h.Huiwen Zhang Shuxuan Liu Enlai Hu Yunfei Yang Huimin Zhang Yuting Zhu Lijing Yan Xuehui Gao Jing Zhang Zhan Lin 2022Carbon Energy2022,4,5:0

A subpopulation of CD146^(+) macrophages enhances antitumor immunity by activating the NLRP3 inflammasome显示文摘As one of the main tumor-infiltrating immune cell types, tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) determine the efficacy of immunotherapy. However, limited knowledge about their phenotypically and functionally heterogeneous nature restricts their application in tumor immunotherapy. In this study, we identified a subpopulation of CD146+ TAMs that exerted antitumor activity in both human samples and animal models. CD146 expression in TAMs was negatively controlled by STAT3 signaling. Reducing this population of TAMs promoted tumor development by facilitating myeloid-derived suppressor cell recruitment via activation of JNK signaling. Interestingly, CD146 was involved in the NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated activation of macrophages in the tumor microenvironment, partially by inhibiting transmembrane protein 176B (TMEM176B), an immunoregulatory cation channel. Treatment with a TMEM176B inhibitor enhanced the antitumor activity of CD146+ TAMs. These data reveal a crucial antitumor role of CD146+ TAMs and highlight the promising immunotherapeutic approach of inhibiting CD146 and TMEM176B.Lin Jing Yunhe An Tanxi Cai Jianquan Xiang Baoming Li Jiang Guo Xinran Ma Ling Wei Yanjie Tian Xiaoyan Cheng Xuehui Chen Zheng Liu Jing Feng Fuquan Yang Xiyun Yan Hongxia Duan 2023Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,8:0
