2Near-surface structure and energy characteristics of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current显示文摘Historical surface drifter observations collected from the Southern Ocean are used to study the near-surface structure,variability,and energy characteristics of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current(ACC).A strong,nearly zonal ACC combined with complex fronts dominates the circulation system in the Southern Ocean.Standard variance ellipses indicate that both the Agulhas Return Current and the East Australian Warm Current are stable supplements of the near-surface ACC,and that the anticyclonic gyre formed by the Brazil warm current and the Malvinas cold current is stable throughout the year.During austral winter,the current velocity increases because of the enhanced westerly wind.Aroused by the meridional motion of the ACC,the meridional velocity shows greater instability characteristics than the zonal velocity does over the core current.Additionally,the ACC exhibits an eastward declining trend in the core current velocity from southern Africa.The characteristics of the ACC are also argued from the perspective of energy.The energy distribution suggests that the mean kinetic energy(MKE),eddy kinetic energy(EKE),and EKE are strong over the core currents of the ACC.However,in contrast,EKE/MKE suggests there is much less(more)eddy dissipation in regions with strong(weak)energy distribution.Both meridional and zonal energy variations are studied to illustrate additional details of the ACC energy characteristics.Generally,all the energy forms except EKE/MKE present west-east reducing trends,which coincide with the velocity statistics.Eddy dissipation has a much greater effect on MKE in the northern part of the Southern Ocean.GAO Libao YU Weidong WANG Haiyuan LIU Yanliang 2013Advances in Polar Science2013,24,4:3
3Multi-omics analysis reveals gut microbiota-induced intramuscular fatdeposition via regulating expression of lipogenesis-associated genes显示文摘The gut microbiome has great effects on the digestion, absorption, and metabolism of lipids. However,the microbiota composition that can alter the fat deposition and the meat quality of pigs remains unclear.Here, we used Laiwu (LW) pigs (a native Chinese breed with higher intramuscular fat) compared withcommercial crossbreed Duroc×(Landrace×Yorkshire) (DLY) pigs to investigate the effects of microbiotaon meat quality, especially in intramuscular fat content. A total of 32 DLY piglets were randomly allottedto 4 groups and transplanted with fecal microbiota from healthy LW pigs. The results indicated that thehigh dose of fecal microbiota transplantation (HFMT) selectively enhanced fat deposition in longissimusdorsi (P < 0.05) but decreased backfat thickness (P < 0.05) compared with control group. HFMT significantlyaltered meat color and increased feed conversation ratio (P < 0.05). Furthermore, the multi-omicsanalysis revealed that Bacteroides uniformis, Sphaerochaeta globosa, Hydrogenoanaerobacterium saccharovorans,and Pyramidobacter piscolens are the core species which can regulate lipid deposition. A total of140 male SPF C57BL/6j mice were randomly allotted into 7 groups and administrated with these 4 microbesalone or consortium to validate the relationships between microbiota and lipid deposition.Inoculating the bacterial consortium into mice increased intramuscular fat content (P < 0.05) comparedwith control mice. Increased expressions of lipogenesis-associated genes including cluster of differentiation36 (Cd36), diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 (Dgat2), and fatty acid synthase (FASN) wereobserved in skeletal muscle in the mice with mixed bacteria compared with control mice. 4All-in-One Deposition to Synergistically Manipulate Perovskite Growth for High-Performance Solar Cell显示文摘Nonradiative recombination losses originating from crystallographic distortions and issues occurring upon interface formation are detrimental for the photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells.Herein,we incorporated a series of carbamide molecules(urea,biuret,or triuret)consisting of both Lewis base(-NH2)and Lewis acid(-C=O)groups into the perovskite precursor to simultaneously eliminate the bulk and interface defects.Depending on the different coordination ability with perovskite component,the incorporated molecules can either modify crystallization dynamics allowing for large crystal growth at low temperature(60℃),associate with antisite or undercoordinated ions for defect passivation,or accumulate at the surface as an energy cascade layer to enhance charge transfer,respectively.Synergistic benefits of the above functions can be obtained by rationally optimizing additive combinations in an all-in-one deposition method.As a result,a champion efficiency of 21.6%with prolonged operational stability was achieved in an inverted MAPbI3 perovskite solar cell by combining biuret and triuret additives.The simplified all-in-one fabrication procedure,adaptable to different types of perovskites in terms of pure MAPbI3,mixed perovskite,and all-inorganic perovskite,provides a cost-efficient and reproducible way to obtain high-performance inverted perovskite solar cells.Yifan Lv Hui Zhang Jinpei Wang Libao Chen Lifang Bian Zhongfu An Zongyao Qian Guoqi Ren Jie Wu Frank Nuesch Wei Huang 2020Research2020,,1:2
5Multi-year assessment of paralytic shellfish toxins in hard clam species along the coastline of Jiangsu Province, China显示文摘Paralytic shellfish toxins(PSTs) are notorious neurotoxins that threaten public health and food safety worldwide.Although PST monitoring programs have recently been established throughout China, the profiles and variation of PSTs in important commercial clams(e.g., Mactra veneriformis, Ruditapes philippinarum, and Meretrix meretrix) along the Jiangsu Province coastline remain largely unexplored. In this study, a validated hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(HILIC-MS/MS) method was used to examine PST profiles and levels in 540 clam samples from natural production areas along Jiangsu Province coastline during2014–2016. Although the PST levels(≤6.38 μg saxitotoxin equivalents(eq)/kg) were consistently below European Union regulatory limits(≤800 μg saxitotoxin eq/kg) during this time period, saxitotoxin, decarbamoylsaxitotoxin,and gonyautoxins 1 and 4 were detected, and nearly 40% of the samples were saxitotoxin-positive. The PST levels also varied significantly by seasons, with peak values observed in May during 2014–2016. 6Effects of different root zone heating systems on the microclimate and crop development in solar greenhouses显示文摘Heating greenhouse is indispensable for plant development particularly in winter when the air temperature is lower.In that sense,root zone heating is more energy-saving than traditional air heating.The current work was devoted to the study of the effect of two root zone heating systems based on carbon crystal electrothermal film and low temperature hot water pipe on the microclimate and tomato yield in solar greenhouse.And their performance was tested in the coldest period of winter in Yongqing County of Hebei Province.The results showed that the use of root zone heating system can improve the average substrate temperature by 6.8℃.This microclimate improvement had a positive impact on tomato production.The output per square meter has increased by 19%compared to the unheated.It was also noted that the presence of root zone heating leads to a decrease in the development of disease in heated areas.Based on these results,the root zone heating system can be an effective method of improving the environmental temperature of crop plant,which is of great significance for increasing crop yield.Fen He Jing Tian Liu Wang Yong Hou Fei Qi Yanping Zhang Libao Zhu Zhonghua Li 2022International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,6:1

20Fast ion diffusion alloy layer facilitating 3D mesh substrate for dendrite-free zinc-ion hybrid capacitors显示文摘Although aqueous zinc ion hybrid capacitors have advantageous integration of batteries and supercapacitors,they still suffer from the inherent problems of dendrite growth and interfacial side reactions on Zn anodes.Herein,a universal fast zinc-ion diffusion layer on a three-dimensional(3 D)mesh structure model is demonstrated to effectively improve Zn plating/stripping reversibility.The fast ion diffusion alloy layer accelerates the Zn^(2+)migration in an orderly manner to homogenize Zn^(2+)flux and overcomes the defects of the commercial mesh substrate,effectively avoiding dendrite growth and side reactions.Consequently,the proof-of-concept silver-zinc alloy modified stainless steel mesh delivers superb reversibility with the high coulombic efficiency over 99.4%at 4 mA cm^(-2)after 1600 cycles and excellent reliability of over 830 h at 1 mA cm^(-2),Its feasibility is also evidenced in commercial zinc ion hybrid capacitors with activated carbon as the cathode.This work enriches the fundamental comprehension of fast zinc-ion diffusion layer combined with a 3 D substrate on the Zn deposition and opens a universal approach to design advanced host for Zn electrodes in zinc ion hybrid capacitors.Huaming Yu Quanyu Li Wen Liu Han Wang Xuyan Ni Qiwen Zhao Weifeng Wei Xiaobo Ji Yuejiao Chen Libao Chen 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10:0
