1DNA methylation changes detected by methylation-sensitive amplified polymorphism in two contrasting rice genotypes under salt stress显示文摘DNA methylation,one of the most important epigenetic phenomena,plays a vital role in tuning gene expression during plant development as well as in response to environmental stimuli.In the present study,a methylation-sensitive amplified polymorphism(MSAP) analysis was performed to profile DNA methylation changes in two contrasting rice genotypes under salt stress.Consistent with visibly different phenotypes in response to salt stress,epigenetic markers classified as stable inter-cultivar DNA methylation differences were determined between salt-tolerant FL478 and salt-sensitive IR29.In addition,most tissue-specific DNA methylation loci were conserved,while many of the growth stage-dependent DNA methylation loci were dynamic between the two genotypes.Strikingly,salt stress induced a decrease in DNA methylation specifically in roots at the seedling stage that was more profound in IR29 than in the FL478.This result may indicate that demethylation of genes is an active epigenetic response to salt stress in roots at the seedling stage,and helps to further elucidate the implications of DNA methylation in crop growth and development.Wensheng Wang Xiuqin Zhao Yajiao Pan Linghua Zhu Binying Fu Zhikang Li 2011Journal of Genetics and Genomics2011,38,9:25
2Functional traits of tree species with phylogenetic signal co-vary with environmental niches in two large forest dynamics plots显示文摘Aims While using phylogenetic and functional approaches to test the mechanisms of community assembly,functional traits often act as the proxy of niches.However,there is little detailed knowledge regarding the correlation between functional traits of tree species and their niches in local communities.We suggest that the co-varying correlation between functional traits and niches should be the premise for using phylogenetic and functional approaches to test mechanisms of community assembly.Using functional traits,phylogenetic and environmental data,this study aims to answer the questions:(i)within local communities,do functional traits of co-occurring species covary with their environmental niches at the species level?and(ii)what is the key ecological process underlying community assembly in Xishuangbanna and Ailaoshan forest dynamic plots(FDPs)?Methods We measured seven functional traits of 229 and 36 common species in Xishuangbanna and Ailaoshan FDPs in tropical and subtropical China,respectively.We also quantified the environmental niches for these species based on conditional probability.We then analyzed the correlations between functional traits and environmental niches using phylogenetic independent contrasts.After examining phylogenetic signals of functional traits using Pagel’sλ,we quantified the phylogenetic and functional dispersion along environmental gradients within local tree communities.Important Findings For target species,functional traits do co-vary with environmental niches at the species level in both of the FDPs,supporting that functional traits can be used as a proxy for local-scale environmental niches.Functional traits show significant phylogenetic signals in both of the FDPs.We found that the phylogenetic and functional dispersion were significantly clustered along topographical gradients in the Ailaoshan FDP but overdispersion in the Xishuangbanna FDP.These patterns of phylogenetic and functional dispersion suggest that environmental filtering plays a key role in structuring local tree assemblages in Ailaoshan FDP,while competition exclusion plays a key role in Xishuangbanna FDP.Jie Yang Xiuqin Ci Mengmeng Lu Guocheng Zhang Min Cao Jie Li Luxiang Lin 2014Journal of Plant Ecology2014,7,2:16

4Landuse/landcover changes in Zhangye oasis of Hexi Corridor显示文摘Taking two f alse color composite Landsat 5 TM (Thematic Mapper) images of band 4,3,2 taken in 1995 and 2000 as data resources, this paper carried out study on LUCC of Zhan gye oasis in recent five years by interpretation according to land reso urces classification system of 1:100,000 Resources and Environmental Data base of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The results show that great changes have taken place in landuse/landcover in Zhangye oasis since 1 995: (1) Changes of landuse structure show that cropland and land for urban c onstruction and built-up area increased, on the contrary, water area an d grassland decreased. These changes reflect the deterioration of eco-e nvironment and the acceleration of urbanization, and also indicate the problems existing in the arrangement of water and land resources betw een the upper and lower reaches of the Heihe River. (2) Regional diff erences of landuse/landcover are evident, characterized by following asp ects: in Sunan County located in Qilian Mountain area, unused land an d grassland decreased, but cropland and land for urban construction an d built-up area increased. In Minle and Shandan counties located in f oothills, unused land, water area and cropland decreased, but grassland and land for urban construction and built-up area increased. 5Synergistic therapy of magnetism-responsive hydrogel for soft tissue injuries显示文摘Soft tissue injury is very common and associated with pain,tissue swelling and even malformation if not treated on time.Treating methods include cryotherapy,electrical therapy,ultrasound therapy and anti-inflammatory drug,but none of them is completely satisfying.In this work,for a better therapeutic effect,drug therapy and pulsed electromagnetic field(PEMF)therapy were combined.We constructed a drug delivery system using the tetra-PEG/agar hydrogel(PA).By incorporating Fe3O4 NPs into the hydrogel network,a magnetism-responsive property was achieved in the system.The cytotoxicity and in vivo study showed a good biocompatibility of the PA/Fe3O4 hydrogel.A magnetism-controlled release was attained by the incorporation of Fe3O4.Finally,in vivo study showed a better performance of the DS-loaded PA/Fe3O4 compared with the commercially available DS ointment regarding the recovery of the injured soft tissue.Therefore,this magnetism-responsive hydrogel may represent a promising alternative to treat soft tissue injury.Lining Zhang Xiuqin Zuo Shengjie Li Mi Sun Huimin Xie Kai Zhang Jikun Zhou Liyun Che Junxuan Ma Zishan Jia Fei Yang 2019Bioactive Materials2019,4,1:7
6Effect of Fe(III) impurity on the electrochemical performance of LiFePO_4 prepared by hydrothermal process显示文摘Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) was synthesized from LiOH, FeSO4 and H3PO4 by a hydrothermal process at 180℃. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and chemical analysis. Electrochemical performance of the samples was tested in terms of charge-discharge capacity and cycling behavior. The results indicated that Fe(III) impurity had obvi- ously effect on the electrochemical properties of LiFePO4, and the formation of Fe3+ was caused by the oxidation of Fe2+ in the dissolving and feeding processes accompanying the increase of pH value. It was found that the precipitation separation was effective in decreasing the content of Fe3+ in the solu- tion of FeSO4 and the sealed feeding was useful in preventing the conversion of Fe2+ to Fe3+. 7Efficient production of biodiesel from both esterification and transesterification over supported SO^(2-)_4–MoO_3–ZrO_2–Nd_2O_3/SiO_2 catalysts显示文摘SO2-4–Mo O3–Zr O2–Nd2O3/Si O2(SMZN/Si O2) catalysts for the production of biodiesel via both esterification and transesterification were prepared and characterized by N2adsorption-desorption isotherms,X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),thermogravimetry analysis(TGA),ammonia adsorption Fourier transform infrared spectra(NH3-FTIR),and ammonia adsorption temperature programmed desorption(NH3-TPD) to reveal the dependence of the stable catalytic activity on calcination time. The reason for catalyst deactivation was also studied. The calcination time remarkably affected the types of active centers on SMZN/Si O2-2,and 4 h was found to be the optimal calcination time. SO4 species bonded with small size Zr O2 were found to be the stable active centers,where the leaching of SO2-4and the deposition of coke were inhibited. The deposition of coke was easier on large size Zr O2 than on small size ones. 8Genetic analysis of yield and fiber quality traits in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivated in different ecological regions of China显示文摘Background:Cotton is an important fiber crop worldwide.The yield potential of current genotypes of cotton can be exploited through hybridization.However,to develop superior hybrids with high yield and fiber quality traits,information of genetic control of traits is prerequisite.Therefore,genetic analysis plays pivotal role in plant breeding.Results:In present study,North Carolina II mating design was used to cross 5 female parents with 6 male parents to produce 30 intraspecific F1cotton hybrids.All plant materials were tested in three different ecological regions of China during the year of 2016-2017.Additive-dominance-environment(ADE)genetic model was used to estimate the genetic effects and genotypic and phenotypic correlation of yield and fiber quality traits.Results showed that yield traits except lint percentage were mainly controlled by genetic and environment interaction effects,whereas lint percentage and fiber quality traits were determined by main genetic effects.Moreover,dominant and additiveen vironine nt in teraction effects had more influence on yield traits,whereas additive and domi nance-e nviron ment interaction effects were found to be predominant for fiber traits.Broad-sense and its interaction heritability were significant for all yield and most of fiber quality traits.Narrow-sense and its interaction heritability were non-significant for boll number and seed cotton yield.Correlation analysis indicated that seed cotton yield had significant positive correlation with other yield attributes and non-significant with fiber quality traits.All fiber quality traits had signiflcant positive correlation with each other except micronaire.Conclusions:Results of current study provide important information about genetic control of yield and fiber quality traits.Further,this study identified that parental lines,e.g.,SJ48-1,ZB-1,851-2,and DT-8 can be utilized to improve yield and fiber quality traits in cotton.SHAHZAD Kashif LI Xue QI Tingxiang GUO Liping TANG Huini ZHANG Xuexian WANG Hailin ZHANG Meng ZHANG Bingbing QIAO Xiuqin XING Chaozhu WU Jianyong 2019Journal of Cotton Research2019,2,2:5
9Infrared transition properties of vanadium dioxide thin films across semiconductor-metal transition显示文摘Vanadium dioxide thin films were fabricated through annealing vanadium oxide thin films deposited by dual ion beam sputtering. X-ray diffraction (XRD), atom force microscopy (AFM), and Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FTIR) were employed to measure the crystalline structure, surface morphology, and infrared optical transmittance. The phase transition properties were characterized by transmittance. The results show that the annealed vanadium oxide thin film is composed of monoclinic VO2, with preferred orientation of (011). The maximum of transmittance change is beyond 65% as the temperature increases from 20 to 80 C. The reversible changes in optical transmittance against temperature were observed. The change rate of transmittance at short wavelength is higher than that at long wavelength at the same temperature across semiconductor-metal phase transition. 10From Mind to Products:Towards Social Manufacturing and Service显示文摘After reviewing the development of industrial manufacturing, a novel concept called social manufacturing(SM) and service are proposed as an innovative manufacturing solution for the coming personalized customization era. SM can realize a customer's requirements of 'from mind to products', and fulfill tangible and intangible needs of a prosumer, i.e., producer and consumer at the same time. It represents a manufacturing trend,and is expected to become popular in more and more industries.First, a comparison between mass customization and SM is given out, and the basis and motivation from social network to SM is analyzed. 11Rapid growth of a large-scale(600 mm aperture) KDP crystal and its optical quality显示文摘Potassium dihydrogen phosphate(KDP) single crystals are the only nonlinear crystals currently used for electro-optic switches and frequency converters in inertial confinement fusion research, due to their large dimension and exclusive physical properties. Based on the traditional solution-growth process, large bulk KDP crystals, usually with sizes up to600 × 600 mm2 so as to make a frequency doubler for the facility requirement loading highly flux of power laser, can be grown in standard Holden-type crystallizers, without spontaneous nucleation and visible defects, one to two orders of magnitude faster than by conventional methods. Pure water and KDP raw material with a few ion impurities such as Fe,Cr, and Al(less than 0.1 ppm) were used. The rapid-growth method includes extreme conditions such as temperature range from 60 to 35℃ , overcooling up to 5℃ , growth rates exceeding 10 mm/day, and crystal size up to 600 mm. The optical parameters of KDP crystals were determined. 12The Salt Reduction and Yield Increase Effects of Smashing Ridging Transforming Saline-alkali Land and Its Development Prospects显示文摘Using smashing ridging tillage machine and smashing ridging technology invented by the authors,transformation test of saline-alkali land by smashing ridging was conducted respectively in Xinjiang and Shaanxi during 2015-2016. 13Contrasting effects of space and environment on functional and phylogenetic dissimilarity in a tropical forest显示文摘Aims The evolutionary history and functional traits of species can illumi-nate ecological processes supporting coexistence in diverse forest communities.However,little has been done in decoupling the rela-tive importance of these mechanisms on the turnover of phylogenetic and functional characteristics across life stages and spatial scales.Therefore,this study aims to estimate the contribution of environment and dispersal on the turnover of phylogenetic and functional diversity across life stages and spatial scales,in order to build a coherent pic-ture of the processes responsible for species coexistence.Methods We conducted the study in Xishuangbanna Forest Dynamics Plot in Yunnan Province,southwest China.We used four different spatial point process models to estimate the relative importance of disper-sal limitation and environmental filtering.The functional traits and phylogenetic relationships of all individual trees were incorporated in the analyses to generate measures of dissimilarity in terms of pair-wise and nearest-neighbor phylogenetic and functional characteris-tics across life stages and spatial scales.Important Findings We found non-random patterns of phylogenetic and functional turnover across life stages and spatial scales.Environmental filtering structured pairwise phylogenetic and functional beta diversity across spatial scales,while dispersal limitation alone,and in combination with environment filtering,shaped nearest neighbor phylogenetic and functional beta diversity.The relative importance of dispersal limitation and environmental filtering appeared to change with life stage but not with spatial scale.Our findings suggest that phylogenetic and functional beta diversity help to reveal the ecological processes responsible for evolu-tionary and functional assembly and highlight the importance of using a range of different metrics to gain full insights into these processes.Mengesha Asefa Calum Brown Min Cao Guocheng Zhang Xiuqin Ci Liqing Sha Jie Li Luxiang Lin Jie Yang 2019Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,2:3

16Comparative analysis of metabolite changes in two contrasting rice genotypes in response to low-nitrogen stress显示文摘Identification of metabolites responsible for tolerance to low nitrogen availability(low-N)will aid in the genetic improvement of rice yield under nitrogen deficiency.In this study,a backcross introgression line(G9)and its recurrent parent Shuhui 527(SH527),which show differential responses to low-N stress,were used to identify metabolites associated with lowN tolerance in rice.Differences in metabolite contents in the leaves of G9 and SH527 at three growth stages under low-N stress were assessed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry.Many metabolites,including amino acids and derivatives,were highly enriched in G9 compared with SH527 under the control condition,suggesting that the two genotypes had basal metabolite differences.Low-N stress induced genotype-specific as well as growth stagedependent metabolite changes.Metabolites induced specifically in G9 that were involved in glycolysis and tricarboxylic acid metabolism were enriched at the tillering and grain filling stages,and metabolites involved in nitrogen and proline metabolism were enriched at the booting stage.Enrichment of pyroglutamate,glutamate,2-oxoglutarate,sorbose,glycerate-2-P,and phosphoenolpyruvic acid in G9 suggests that these metabolites could be involved in low-N stress tolerance.The results presented here provide valuable information for further elucidation of the molecular mechanisms of low-N tolerance in crops.Xiuqin Zhao Wensheng Wang Ziyan Xie Yongming Gao Chunchao Wang Muhammed Mahbubur Rashid Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Binying Fu Zhikang Li 2018The Crop Journal2018,6,5:2
17Neutron activation analysis and Mossbauer spectroscopy research on coloring mechanism of Chinese Ru porcelain显示文摘The characteristic spectrum and its main wavelength of Ru porcelain glaze are measured by color difference instrument to determine the relations between glaze color and its main wavelength. The content of the 30 coloring elements in Ru porcelain is determined by neutron activation analysis (NAA), which showed that iron is the major coloring element. Mossbauer spectroscopy analysis shows that the iron element in the glaze exists in the form of structural iron (Fe2+, Fe3+). The quantitative relationship between the main wavelength of glaze in various colors and the relative content of structural iron (Fe2+/Fe3+) is determined. 18Formation and evolution of intraplatform basin from the late Sinian to early Cambrian in Sichuan Basin,China显示文摘Based on the drilling,logging,seismic and outcrop data,the formation and evolution of the late Sinian to early Cambrian intraplatform basin in Sichuan Basin was studied.Through the analysis of the total residual thickness of Member 3+Member 4 of Dengying Formation,the total thickness of Maidiping Formation+Qiongzhusi Formation,and lithofacies characteristics of Maidiping Formation,the distribution of the intraplatform basin was defined and its controlling effect on natural gas distribution of Dengying Formation was revealed.The intraplatform basin was characterized by small total residual thickness of Member 3 and Member 4 of Dengying Formation,the large total thickness of Maidiping Formation and Qiongzhusi Formation,and the deep-water phosphorous-carbonaceous-siliceous mudstone in Maidiping Formation.Horizontally,the intraplatform basin was mainly distributed in Qingchuan-Ziyang-Yibin area,and experienced four evolution periods.During the period of Member 1 and Member 2 of Dengying Formation,the Sichuan Basinwas a rimmed carbonate platform with the well developed mounds and shoals on the platform margin and its interior.The intraplatform basin in western Sichuan Basin was initially formed due to the first episode of Tongwan movement.During the period of Member 3 and Member 4 of Dengying Formation,the depositional center was formed in Moxi,Changning and Zhengxiong area due to extension and rifting of the Upper Yangtze Craton,thereafter,the Sichuan Basin evolved into a rimmed carbonate platform with an intraplatform basin.The second episode of Tongwan movement between Sinian and Cambrian led to the overall uplift and exposure of Sichuan Basin characterized by weathering denudation at high position and downward fluid erosion at low position.During the period of Maidiping Formation,three lithofacies zones were developed horizontally,and the third episode of the Tongwan movement between Maidiping Formation and Qiongzhusi Formation modified the sedimentary geomorphology locally.During the period of Qiongzhusi Formation and Canglangpu Formation,continuous deposition made the Sichuan Basin evolve into a gentle siliciclastic ramp.The evolution of the intraplatform basin not only promoted formation of high-quality platform-margin dolomite reservoirs of Member 4 of Dengying Formation,but also controlled distribution of the high-quality source rocks of Maidiping Formation and Qiongzhusi Formation.The dolomite of Dengying Formation in the surrounding area of the intraplatform basin was the most favorable hydrocarbon exploration area because of its good source-reservoir configuration.Hui Zhou Wei Li Baomin Zhang Jingjiang Liu Shenghui Deng Shiben Zhang Xiuqin Shan Jing Zhang Xiaobo Wang Hua Jiang 2017Petroleum Research2017,2,1:2
19Neutron activation analysis and Mdssbauer spectroscopy research on coloring mechanism of ancient Chinese Guan porcelain显示文摘The content of 30 kinds of coloring elements in Guan porcelain in the Southern Song Dynasty has been determined by neutron activation analysis (NAA). Iron is the major coloring element. Mossbauer spectroscopy has shown that the iron of the glaze exists in the form of structural iron (Fe2+, Fe3+). The quantitative relationship between the main wavelength of every color glaze and the relative content (Fe2+/Fe3+) of structural iron has been determined.
