1Review and prospect of NiCo_(2)O_(4)-based composite materials for supercapacitor electrodes显示文摘Supercapacitors known as typical electrochemical capacitors have been considered as one of the most promising candidates of energy storage systems owing to their advantages such as high-power density,long life span and lower production cost.The electrode materials play a crucial role on properties of supercapacitors.Hence,many researches have been focused on the development of novel electrode materials for high-performance supercapacitors.NiCo_2O_4as supercapacitor electrode material has drawn more and more attentions in recent years due to its outstanding advantages,such as high theoretical capacity,low cost,natural abundance and easy of synthesis.However,the NiCo_2O_4always suffer from severe capacity deterioration because of the low electrical conductivity and small surface area.Hence,it is necessary to systematically and comprehensively summarize the progress in understanding and modifying NiCo_2O_4-based materials from various aspects.In this review,the structure and synthesis method of NiCo_2O_4-based materials are discussed in detail.And then,the major goal of this review is to highlight new progress in using proposed strategies to improve the cycling stability and rate capacity of NiCo_2O_4-based materials,including synthesis,control of special morphologies and design of composite materials.Finally,an insight into the future research and development of Ni Co_2O_4-based materials for supercapacitors is prospected.Yanmei Li Xiao Han Tingfeng Yi Yanbing He Xifei Li 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,4:14
2Experimental and Numerical Investigation of the Unsteady Tip Leakage Flow in Axial Compressor Cascade显示文摘For convenience of both measurement and adjusting the clearance size and incidence, the current research is mainly conducted by experiments on an axial compressor linear cascade. The characteristics and the condition under which the unsteadiness of tip leakage flow would occur were investigated by dynamic measuring in different clearances, inlet velocities and incidences. From the experiment it is found that increasing tip clearance size or reducing rotor tip incidence can affect the strength of the tip clearance flow. Then the experimental results also indicate the tip leakage shows instability in certain conditions, and the frequency of unsteadiness is great influenced by inflow angle. The condition of occurrence of tip leakage flow unsteadiness is when the leakage flow is strong enough to reach the pressure side of the adjacent blade. 3Mesoporous NiCo_2O_4 nanoneedles@MnO_2 nanoparticles grown on nickel foam for electrode used in high-performance supercapacitors显示文摘Mesoporous NiCo_2O_4@MnO_2 nanoneedle arrays as electrode materials for supercapacitor grown on a conductive nickel foam were prepared by a facile hydrothermal route. The interconnected mesoporous structure of the NiCo_2O_4 nanoneedle arrays provides a large specific surface area for charge storage.The electrochemically active MnO_2 nanoparticles covered on the surface of NiCo_2O_4 nanoneedle result in a favorable synergistic storage effect because of charge redistribution at the NiCo_2O_4|MnO_2 interface,which reduces the interfacial polarization and facilitates ion diffusion. The initial specific capacitance of NiCo_2O_4@MnO_2(S2) is 1001 F g^(-1) at current density of 15 A g^(-1). The capacity retention of S2 is about87.4% after 4000 cycles, and the specific capacitance of S2 electrode only decreases from 1001 F g^(-1) to736 F g^(-1) even after 10,000 cycles. The first-principles calculations show that a chemical bonding between the NiCo_2O_4 and MnO_2 is not only helpful for stabilizing the composites but also leads to a charge redistribution at the interface, which may lead to a smaller interfacial polarization and thus beneficial for the interfacial capacity. The excellent electrochemical performance of NiCo_2O_4@MnO_2 composites(S2)can be ascribed to the high surface area, unique architecture, MnO_2 nanoparticle modification, reduced charge transfer resistance and stable interface between NiCo_2O_4 and MnO_2. 4A Preliminary Investigation of Arctic Sea Ice Negative Freeboard from in-situ Observations and Radar Altimetry显示文摘The negative freeboard of sea ice(i.e., the height of ice surface below sea level) with subsequent flooding is widespread in the Southern Ocean, as opposed to the Arctic, due to the relatively thicker ice and thinner snow. In this study, we used the observations of snow and ice thickness from 103 ice mass balance buoys(IMBs) and NASA Operation IceBridge Aircraft Missions to investigate the spatial distribution of negative freeboard of Arctic sea ice. The Result showed that seven IMBs recorded negative freeboards, which were sporadically located in the seas around Northeast Greenland, the Central Arctic Ocean, and the marginal areas of the Chukchi–Beaufort Sea. The observed maximum values of negative freeboard could reach-0.12 m in the seas around Northeast Greenland. The observations from IceBridge campaigns also revealed negative freeboard comparable to those of IMBs in the seas around North Greenland and the Beaufort Sea. We further investigated the large-scale distribution of negative freeboard using NASA CryoSat-2 radar altimeter data, and the result indicates that except for the negative freeboard areas observed by IMBs and IceBridge, there are negative freeboards in other marginal seas of the Arctic Ocean. 10An observational study of precipitation types in the Alaskan Arctic显示文摘The effects of various precipitation types,such as snow,rain,sleet,hail and freezing rain,on regional hydrology,ecology,snow and ice surfaces differ significantly.Due to limited observations,however,few studies into precipitation types have been conducted in the Arctic.Based on the high-resolution precipitation records from an OTT Parsivel^(2) disdrometer in Utqiaġvik,Alaska,this study analysed variations in precipitation types in the Alaskan Arctic from 15 May to 16 October,2019.Results show that rain and snow were the dominant precipitation types during the measurement period,accounting for 92%of the total precipitation.In addition,freezing rain,sleet,and hail were also observed(2,4 and 11 times,respectively),accounting for the rest part of the total precipitation.The records from a neighbouring U.S.Climate Reference Network(USCRN)station equipped with T-200B rain gauges support the results of disdrometer.Further analysis revealed that Global Precipitation Measurement(GPM)satellite data could well characterise the observed precipitation changes in Utqiaġvik.Combined with satellite data and station observations,the spatiotemporal variations in precipitation were verified in various reanalysis datasets,and the results indicated that ECMWF Reanalysis v5(ERA5)could better describe the observed precipitation time series in Utqiaġvik and the spatial distribution of data in the Alaskan Arctic.Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications,Version 2(MERRA-2)overestimated the amount and frequency of precipitation.Japanese 55-year Reanalysis(JRA-55)could better simulate heavy precipitation events and the spatial distribution of the precipitation phase,but it overestimated summer snowfall.YUE Handong DOU Tingfeng LI Shutong LI Chuanjin DING Minghu XIAO Cunde 2021Advances in Polar Science2021,32,4:0
11Two-Dimensional Coupling Vibration Analysis of Laterally Acoustically Coupled Two-Port Thin-Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators显示文摘In this paper,we present an approach to studying the mode coupling vibrations in two-port thin-film bulk acoustic wave resonator(FBAR)devices with two pairs of electrodes deposited on the zinc oxide film.The two-dimensional plate theory established in our previous work is employed,which takes into account the coupling of the operating thickness-extensional mode with the extensional,flexural,fundamental and second-order thickness-shear modes.The propagation of straight-crested waves in the plate is studied,and the state-vector approach is successfully used to simplify the derivation process.For a structurally symmetric device,the modes are separated into quasi symmetric and antisymmetric ones.Frequency spectra and corresponding mode shapes are obtained under the stress-free boundary conditions,respectively,and then coupling effects and energy trapping phenomenon are discussed in detail.Some results for structures with asymmetric electrode distributions are also shown.It is found that the choice of aspect ratio has a great effect on mode couplings of FBAR devices.This study will be useful for the design of FBAR filters and sensors.Haoyu Huang Nian Li Bin Wang Zhenghua Qian Bin Huang Tingfeng Ma Iren Kuznetsova 2020Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2020,33,4:0
12A nonlinear analysis of surface acoustic waves in isotropic elastic solids显示文摘With the fast evolution of wireless and networking communication technology,applications of surface acoustic wave(SAW),or Rayleigh wave,resonators are proliferating with fast shrinking sizes and increasing frequencies.It is inevitable that the smaller resonators will be under a strong electric field with induced large deformation,which has to be described in wave propagation equations with the consideration of nonlinearity.In this study,the formal nonlinear equations of motion are constructed by introducing the nonlinear constitutive relation and strain components in a standard procedure,and the equations are simplified by the extended Galerkin method through the elimination of harmonics.The wave velocity of the nonlinear SAW is obtained from approximated nonlinear equations and boundary conditions through a rigorous solution procedure.It is shown that if the amplitude is small enough,the nonlinear results are consistent with the linear results,demonstrating an alternative procedure for nonlinear analysis of SAW devices working in nonlinear state.Haoxiang Wu Rongxing Wu Tingfeng Ma Zixiao Lu Honglang Li Ji Wang 2022Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2022,12,2:0
13Analysis of the record-breaking August 2021 rainfall over the Greenland Ice Sheet显示文摘Rainfall was witnessed for the first time at the highest area of the Greenland Ice Sheet on 14 August,2021.The thermodynamic mechanisms supporting the rainfall are revealed by ERA5 reanalysis,in-situ and satellite data.We find that a strong southward intrusion of the polar vortex favored the maintenance of a deep cyclone over Baffin Island and an amplification of anticyclonic circulation over the southeastern ice sheet,which pumped warm and moist air toward Greenland from anomalously warm waters south of Greenland.Across a wide swath of the ice sheet,atmospheric uplift maintained above-melting and rainfall conditions via condensation and enhanced downward infrared irradiance.Without the low-level liquid clouds,the spatial extent and duration of the rainfall would have been smaller.Over the ice sheet topographic summit,the air temperature from the ground to 250 hPa level was~2℃higher than the previous record set on 12 July,2012.Such events may occur more frequently with the decreased temperature contrast between the Arctic and the mid-latitude regions that drives highly amplified jet streams.Thus,this extreme event serves as a harbinger of a more likely wet surface condition across all elevations of the ice sheet.DOU Tingfeng XIE Zuowei Jason E.BOX YANG Qing YANG Yifan TENG Shiwen XU Gaojie LIU Chao LI Xichen Derek HOUTZ GONG Xun DU Zhiheng DING Minghu YU Yongqiang XIAO Cunde 2023Advances in Polar Science2023,34,3:0
14Distinct and shared endothermic strategies in the heat producing tissues of tuna and other teleosts显示文摘Although most fishes are ectothermic,some,including tuna and billfish,achieve endothermy through specialized heat producing tissues that are modified muscles.How these heat producing tissues evolved,and whether they share convergent molecular mechanisms,remain unresolved.Here,we generated a high-quality genome from the mackerel tuna(Euthynnus affinis)and investigated the heat producing tissues of this fish by single-nucleus and bulk RNA sequencing.Compared with other teleosts,tuna-specific genetic variation is strongly associated with muscle differentiation.Single-nucleus RNA-seq revealed a high proportion of specific slow skeletal muscle cell subtypes in the heat producing tissues of tuna.Marker genes of this cell subtype are associated with the relative sliding of actin and myosin,suggesting that tuna endothermy is mainly based on shivering thermogenesis.In contrast,cross-species transcriptome analysis indicated that endothermy in billfish relies mainly on nonshivering thermogenesis.Nevertheless,the heat producing tissues of the different species do share some tissue-specific genes,including vascular-related and mitochondrial genes.Overall,although tunas and billfishes differ in their thermogenic strategies,they share similar expression patterns in some respects,highlighting the complexity of convergent evolution.Baosheng Wu Xueli Gao Mingling Hu Jing Hu Tianming Lan Tingfeng Xue Wenjie Xu Chenglong Zhu Yuan Yuan Jiangmin Zheng Tao Qin Peidong Xin Ye Li Li Gong Chenguang Feng Shunping He Huan Liu Haimeng Li Qing Wang Zhenhua Ma Qiang Qiu Kun Wang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,11:0
15Spatial variability ofδ^(18)O andδ^(2)H in North Pacific and Arctic Oceans surface seawater显示文摘This study presents new observations of stable isotopic composition(δ^(18)O,δ^(2)H and deuterium excess)in surface waters of the North Pacific and Arctic Oceans that were collected during the sixth Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition(CHINARE)from mid-summer to early autumn 2014.Seawaterδ^(18)O andδ^(2)H decrease with increasing latitudes from 39°N to 75°N,likely a result of spatial variability in evaporation/precipitation processes.This explanation is further confirmed by comparing theδ^(18)O-δ^(2)H relationship of seawater with that of precipitation.However,effects of freshwater inputs on seawater stable isotopic composition are also identified at 30°N-39°N.Furthermore,we find a non-significant relationship between the isotopic parameters(δ^(2)H andδ^(18)О)and salinity from 73°N northwards in the Arctic Ocean,implying that sea ice melting/formation may have some effect.These results suggest that the isotopic parametersδ^(2)H andδ^(18)Оare useful for tracing marine hydrological processes.LI Zhiqiang DING Minghu WANG Yetang DU Zhiheng DOU Tingfeng 2022Advances in Polar Science2022,33,3:0
16Apigenin ameliorates imiquimod-induced psoriasis in C57BL/6J mice by inactivating STAT3 and NF-κB显示文摘Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease featured by patches on the skin.It is caused by malfunction of immune cells and keratinocytes with inflammation as one of its key features.Apigenin(API)is a natural flavonoid with anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory properties.Therefore,we speculated that API can ameliorate psoriasis,and determined its effect on the development of psoriasis by using imiquimod(IMQ)-induced psoriasis mouse model.Our results showed that API attenuated IMQ-induced phenotypic changes,such as erythema,scaling and epidermal thickening,and improved splenic hyperplasia.Abnormal differentiation of immune cells was restored in API-treated mice.Mechanistically,we revealed that API is a key regulator of signal transducer activator of transcription 3(STAT3).API regulated immune responses by reducing interleukin-23(IL-23)/STAT3/IL-17A axis.Moreover,it suppressed IMQ-caused cell hyperproliferation by inactivating STAT3 through regulation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)pathway.Furthermore,API reduced expression of inflammatory cytokines through inactivation of NF-κB.Taken together,our study demonstrates that API can ameliorate psoriasis and may be considered as a strategy for psoriasis treatment.Xianshe Meng Shihong Zheng Zequn Yin Xuerui Wang Daigang Yang Tingfeng Zou Huaxin Li Yuanli Chen Chenzhong Liao Zhouling Xie Xiaodong Fan Jihong Han Yajun Duan Xiaoxiao Yang 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1:0
