1Chromosome-Level Reference Genome and Population Genomic Analysis Provide Insights into the Evolution and Improvement of Domesticated Mulberry (Morns alba)显示文摘Mulberry(Morns spp.)is the sole plant consumed by the domesticated silkworm.However,the genome of domesticated mulberry has not yet been sequenced,and the ploidy level of this species remains unclear.Here,we report a high-quality,chromosome-level domesticated mulberry(Morus alba)genome.Analysis of genomic data and karyotype analyses confirmed that M.alba is a diploid with 28 chromosomes(2/7=2x=28).Population genomic analysis based on resequencing of 134 mulberry accessions classified domesticated mulberry into three geographical groups,namely,Taihu Basin of southeastern China(Hu mulberry),northern and southwestern China,and Japan.Hu mulberry had the lowest nucleotide diversity among these accessions and demonstrated obvious signatures of selection associated with environmental adaptation.Further phylogenetic analysis supports a previous proposal that multiple domesticated mulberry accessions previously classified as different species actually belong to one species.This study expands our understanding of genome evolution of the genus Morus and population structure of domesticated mulberry,which would facilitate mulberry breeding and improvement.Feng Jiao Rongsong Luo Xuelei Dai Hui Liu Gang Yu Shuhua Han Xin Lu Chao Su Qi Chen Qinxia Song Caiting Meng Fanghong Li Hongmei Sun Rui Zhang Tian Hui Yonghua Qian Aichun Zhao Yu Jiang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,7:10
2A mathematical modeling study of the HIV epidemics at two rural townships in the Liangshan Prefecture of the Sichuan Province of China显示文摘Background:As a response to a severe HIV epidemic in the Liangshan Prefecture,one of the worst in China,population based HIV interventions,including two population-wide HIV screening,have been carried out since 2005 at two townships in a remote mountainous region of Liangshan.The objective of our mathematical modeling study is to assess the temporal dynamics of the HIV epidemic in the two townships based on the data collected in the study area during the period 2005e2010.Methods:A mathematical model was set up to describe the population dynamics of HIV transmission in study area.The model was calibrated by fitting it to the HIV testing and treatment data from 2005 to 2008.Validation of the model was done by comparing its predicted value of HIV prevalence in 2010 to the prevalence data obtained in the 2010 population wide HIV testing.The validated model was used to produce estimation of HIV incidence,prevalence and death.Results:Our model estimations show that population-based HIV interventions have significantly slowed down the rise of the HIV epidemic in the two townships.Over the five-year period from 2005 to 2010,the year-over-year rate of increase in HIV incidence,prevalence,and death has declined by 91.5%,28.7%,and 52.3%,respectively.Conclusion:Mathematical models,when integrated with epidemiological and surveillance data,can be an effective tool for predicting the temporal dynamics of HIV and assessing the impacts of HIV interventions.Zhimin Su Caiting Dong Ping Li Hongxia Deng Yuhan Gong Shiyong Zhong Min Wu Yuhua Ruan Guangming Qin Wen Yang Yiming Shao Michael Li 2016Infectious Disease Modelling2016,1,1:2

20Experimental study on the control of black smoke pollution from the ceramic kilns based on the mechanism of the surfactant and coagulant显示文摘Aiming at the characteristics of carbon black,a new method of controlling the black smoke from the industrial coal-burning ceramic kilns by wetting was brought forward.The carbon black in the flue of coal-burning ceramic kiln was collected for the experiments,and its physical and chemical properties were studied in detail.In order to change the sedimentation and wettabil-ity state of the carbon black,the complex solution of the coagulant and surfactant was applied.After a series of orthogonal experiments,the complex solutions with bet-ter effects were chosen.Then,the sedimentation percent-age of carbon black treated by the selected complex solutions was measured.The optimized complex solutions included Na 2 SO 4(100 mmol/L),sodium dodecylbenzene-sulfonate(SDBS)(1.2 mmol/L)and polyacrylamide(PAM)(40 mg/L).After carbon black was absorbed,the complex solutions were clear and colorless.The complex solutions can be recycled,and the sedimentation percent-age of carbon black is 94%.Xiao CUI Caiting LI Fei WANG Shanhong LI Chenchang XIAO Yu PENG Yunbo ZHAI 2008Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2008,2,1:0
