3Numerical simulation of the propagation of electromagnetic waves in ionospheric irregularities显示文摘The characteristics of high-frequency(HF)electromagnetic(EM)wave propagation can be affected when EM waves propagate in the ionosphere.When ionospheric irregularities appear in the ionosphere,they can have a serious impact on the propagation of HF EM waves.In this study,the propagation of HF EM waves in ionospheric irregularities was investigated by numerical simulation.First,a twodimensional model of plasma bubbles was used to produce ionospheric irregularities in the ionosphere.A ray-tracing method was then utilized to simulate the propagation of HF radio waves in these ionospheric irregularities.Results showed that the propagation of HF radio waves in the ionosphere was more complex in ionospheric irregularities than without ionospheric irregularities.In addition,corresponding ionograms were synthesized by radio rays propagated in the ionosphere with these irregularities.The synthesized ionograms were then compared with the experimental ionograms recorded by an ionosonde.Results showed that spread F could be simulated on the ionograms when ionospheric irregularities occurred in the ionosphere.This result was consistent with the ionosonde observations.Chun Hua Jiang LeHui Wei GuoBin Yang Chen Zhou ZhengYu Zhao 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,6:3
4Porous β-cyclodextrin nanotubular assemblies enable high-efficiency removal of bisphenol micropollutants from aquatic systems显示文摘The performance of water purification by adsorption method has been limited owing to the fact that most of current available adsorbents fail to achieve satisfactory removal performance for organic micropollutants.Herein,we report the design and synthesis of novel porous polymeric adsorbent built fromβ-cyclodextrin(B-CD),in whichβ-CD molecules are arranged in an ordered bis(β-CD)tubular assemblies.The induction of bis(B-CD)units renders them high adsorption affinity toweard bisphenols(bisphenol A and its analogues bisphenol B,bisphenol F and bisphenol S),the typical endocrine disruptors,via the formation of stable host-guest inclusion complexes in aquatic systems.In combination with their high porosity(Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area of 150 m2·g-1),abundantβ-CD content and fast sorption kinetics,the obtained adsorbent outperforms commercial water purifier in elimination of bisphenol micropollutants from potable water.Our work may open a new avenue for designing highly eficient adsorbents for removal of organic micropollutants from aquatic systems.Wenya He Xiaoyan Ren Zhiqiang Yan Jin Wang Lehui Lu 2020Nano Research2020,13,7:2
5Nanoparticulate X-ray CT contrast agents显示文摘X-ray computed tomography(CT) has been widely used as a powerful diagnostic tool in clinics because it can provide high-resolution 3D tomography of the anatomic structure based on the distinctive X-ray absorptions between different tissues. Currently, CT contrast agents are mainly small iodinated molecules, which suffer from drawbacks such as short blood- retention time, nonspecific in vivo biodistribution, and renal toxicity. Utilization of nanoparticles as potential CT contrast agents to overcome the aforementioned issues has advanced rapidly. 9Hyperthermia by a nitinol stent in an alternating magnetic field:Safety and feasibility in rabbit esophageal cancer显示文摘Hyperthermia by heating in-stent is a potentially new method to treat esophageal cancer.This study assessed the safety of heating the rabbit esophagus with a nitinol stent in an alternating magnetic field(AMF) and investigated whether this method offers a therapeutic option for esophageal cancer.Nitinol stents were placed in the cervical esophagi of healthy rabbits,which were heated in an AMF for different times at 43,46 and 50℃.The esophagi were histologically examined after a week to observe whether there was transmural necroses.Then esophageal cancer of rabbit placed nitinol stents were heated in an AMF at 46℃for 10 min.Stents were heated to a target temperature within 5 min.The highest tolerated temperature and time for the healthy rabbit esophagus was at 46℃for 10 min.Tumor growth was delayed by heating and it was statistically significant.Heating the rabbit esophageal wall at 46℃for 10 min proves to be safe and effective in delaying tumor growth.Jumei Zhou Ning Li Qisheng Xia Lehui Du Xiaowen Wang Linyun Zhao Xufei Wang Jintian Tang 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,12:1

13Breaking the linear correlations for enhanced electrochemical nitrogen reduction by carbon-encapsulated mixed-valence Fe_(7)(PO_(4))_(6)显示文摘Electrochemical nitrogen reduction(NRR)is deemed as a consummate answer for the traditional Haber–Bosch technology.Breaking the linear correlations between adsorption and transition-state energies of intermediates is vital to improve the kinetics of ammonia synthesis and obtain a less energy-intensive process.Herein,carbon-encapsulated mixed-valence Fe_(7)(PO_(4))_(6) was prepared and applied as an electrocatalyst for high-efficiency NRR.A dramatic faradaic efficiency(FE)of 36.93%and an NH_(3) production rate of 13.1μg h^(-1) mg_(cat)^(-1) were obtained at-0.3 V versus RHE,superior to nearly all Fe-based catalysts.Experiments and DFT calculations revealed that the superior performance was ascribed to the synergistic effect of mixed-valence iron pair,which braked the linear correlations to improve the kinetics of ammonia from collaborative hydrogenation and*NH_(3) separation.This work proves the feasibility of mixedvalence catalysts for nitrogen reduction and thus opening a new avenue towards artificial nitrogenfixation catalysts.Lehui Ma Fanfan Xu Linlin Zhang Zhongfen Nie Kai Xia Mingxia Guo Mingzhu Li Xin Ding 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8:1
