1Modeling golden section in plants显示文摘Plants are complex structures,changing their shapes in response to environmental factors such as sunlight,water and neighboring plants. However,some mathematical rules can be found in their growth patterns,one of which is the golden section. The golden section can be observed in branching systems,phyllotaxis,flowers and seeds,and often the spiral arrangement of plant organs. In this study,tree,flower and fruit models have been generated by using the corresponding golden section characteristics,resulting in more natural patterns. 15In-situ deposition of Pd/Pd_(4)S heterostructure on hollow carbon spheres as efficient electrocatalysts for rechargeable Li-O_(2)batteries显示文摘The sluggish kinetics of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)have always restricted the development of lithium oxygen batteries(LOBs).Herein,hollow carbon spheres loaded with Pd/Pd_(4)S heterostructure(Pd/Pd_(4)S@HCS)were successfully prepared via the in-situ deposition to improve the electrocatalytic activities for both ORR and OER in LOBs.With the welldispersed Pd/Pd_(4)S nanoparticles,the hierarchical composite with large specific surface area offers favorable transport channels for ions,electron and oxygen.Especially,the Pd/Pd_(4)S nanoparticles could exhibit excellent electrochemical performance for ORR and OER due to their intrinsic catalytic property and interfacial effect from the heterostructure.Therefore,the LOBs with Pd/Pd_(4)S@HCS as cathode catalyst show improved specific capacities,good rate ability and stable cycling performance.Xiaomeng Liu Qishun Huang Jun Wang Lanling Zhao Haoran Xu Qing Xia Deyuan Li Lei Qian Huaisheng Wang Jintao Zhang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,6:1

18A self-assembled nanoflower-like Ni_(5)P_(4)@NiSe_(2) heterostructure with hierarchical pores triggering high-efficiency electrocatalysis for Li-O_(2) batteries显示文摘The remarkably high theoretical energy densities of Li–O_(2) batteries have triggered tremendous efforts for next-generation conversion devices.Discovering efficient oxygen reduction reaction and oxygen evolution reaction(ORR/OER)bifunctional catalysts and revealing their internal structure-property relationships are crucial in developing high-performance Li–O_(2) batteries.Herein,we have prepared a nanoflower-like Ni_(5)P_(4)@NiSe_(2) heterostructure and employed it as a cathode catalyst for Li–O_(2) batteries.As expected,the three-dimensional biphasic Ni_(5)P_(4)@NiSe_(2) nanoflowers facilitated the exposure of adequate active moieties and provide sufficient space to store more discharge products.Moreover,the strong electron redistribution between Ni_(5)P_(4) and NiSe_(2) heterojunctions could result in the built-in electric fields,thus greatly facilitating the ORR/OER kinetics.Based on the above merits,the Ni_(5)P_(4)@NiSe_(2) heterostructure catalyst improved the catalytic performance of Li–O_(2) batteries and holds great promise in realizing their practical applications as well as inspiration for the design of other catalytic materials.Xue Han Yanjie Liang Lanling Zhao Jun Wang Qing Xia Deyuan Li Yao Liu Zhaorui Zhou Yuxin Long Yebing Li Yiming Zhang Shulei Chou 2022Materials Futures2022,1,3:0
19Gut microbiota bridges the iron homeostasis and host health显示文摘The gut microbiota acts as a symbiotic microecosystem that plays an indispensable role in the regulation of a number of metabolic processes in the host by secreting secondary metabolites and impacting the physiology and pathophysiology of numerous organs and tissues through the circulatory system. This relationship, referred to as the “gut-X axis”, is associated with the development and progression of disorders, including obesity, fatty liver and Parkinson's disease. Given its importance, the gut flora is a vital research area for the understanding and development of the novel therapeutic approaches for multiple disorders. Iron is a common but necessary element required by both mammals and bacteria. As a result, iron metabolism is closely intertwined with the gut microbiota. The host's iron homeostasis affects the composition of the gut microbiota and the interaction between host and gut microbiota through various mechanisms such as nutrient homeostasis, intestinal peaceability,gut immunity, and oxidative stress. Therefore, understanding the relationship between gut microbes and host iron metabolism is not only of enormous significance to host health but also may offer preventative and therapeutic approaches for a number of disorders that impact both parties. 20Effect of Different Concentrations of Lipopolysaccharide on Expression of NF-κB and LAP in Mammary Epithelial Cells of Dairy Cow显示文摘The paper was to study the effects of different concentrations of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) on expression of nuclear factor Kappa B(NF-κB) and lingual antimicrobial peptide(LAP) gene in mammary epithelial cells of dairy cow.The mammary epithelial cells of dairy cow were stimulated by different concentrations(50,100,200,400 and 800 ng/mL) of LPS.The total RNA of cells was extracted after stimulation for 2,4,8,16,24,48 and 72 h,respectively,and the mRNA expression levels of NF-κB P65 and LAP were evaluated by real-time quantitative PCR.The results showed that the expression of NF-κB P65 and LAP mRNA treated with 400 ng / mL LPS for 72 h were the highest compared to the control group(P<0.01).The result confirmed that the expression activity of NF-κB was enhanced in inflammatory effects of mammary epithelial cells induced by LPS,which regulated the expression of defense gene LAP,with certain dose and time effects.Cheng Lanling Cao Guifang Wen Shiyong Zhao Pengwei Tu Yong Jian Ruizhen Li Qi 2014Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2014,6,1:0
