1Research Progress of Refractory High Entropy Alloys:A Review显示文摘Owing to superior comprehensive performance than conventional superalloys at high temperature,refractory high entropy alloy(RHEA)is becoming a promising candidate for the next generation high-temperature material.Herein,contemporary aspects of corresponding development of RHEAs are reviewed to discuss various factors affecting the organization structure and service performance.It mainly covers alloying system and strengthening mechanism,the preparation method,plastic deformation and the related mechanism,as well as microstructure control by heat treatment.Firstly,the alloy systems and strengthening mechanism are introduced.This is followed by different preparation methods and the comparison of strengths and shortcomings based on different RHEAs.Then,hot deformation behavior and plastic deformation under different loadings are analyzed.Based on this,the influence of heat treatment on microstructures prior to and after the deformation is further summarized.Finally,some important research areas to be carried out in future are pointed out.This review will give a deep understanding of the effects of different factors on the service performance and provide scientific guide in designing RHEAs with improved performance.Xiaochang Xie Neng Li Wei Liu Shuai Huang Xiaoyong He Qiuying Yu Huaping Xiong Enhui Wang Xinmei Hou 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,6:4
2Characterization of increased cuticular wax mutant and analysis of genes involved in wax biosynthesis in Dianthus spiculifolius显示文摘Cuticular wax formation on the surface of plant leaves is associated with drought-stress tolerance.The identification of wax biosynthesis-related genes will contribute to the genetic improvement of drought resistance in plants.In this study,we characterize a novel Dianthus spiculifolius mutant with increased cuticular wax.The mutant exhibited stronger drought resistance as indicated by less leaf wilting and death,higher leaf relative water content and water retention capacity,and slower water loss and chlorophyll extraction than did the wild type during drought treatment.In the mutant leaves,2730 upregulated and 2151 downregulated differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified by transcriptome sequencing.A wax biosynthesis pathway of the identified DEGs was significantly enriched.Finally,three key genes(DsCER1,DsMAH1,and DsWSD1)involved in wax biosynthesis were identified and verified by qPCR.These results suggest that differential expression of DEGs involved in wax biosynthesis may be associated with the increase in cuticular wax in the mutant.Taken together,our results help elucidate wax formation patterns in D.spiculifolius.Furthermore,the DEGs involved in wax biosynthesis identified here may be valuable genetic resources for improving plant stress tolerance through increased accumulation of cuticular wax.Aimin Zhou Enhui Liu Jiao Liu Shuang Feng Shufang Gong Jingang Wang 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:4
3Monodomain Liquid Crystals of Two-Dimensional Sheets by Boundary-Free Sheargraphy显示文摘Eliminating topological defects to achieve monodomain liquid crystals is highly significant for the fundamental studies of soft matter and building long-range ordered materials.However,liquid crystals are metastable and sensitive to external stimuli,such as flow,confinement,and electromagnetic fields,which cause their intrinsic polycrystallinity and topological defects.Here,we achieve the monodomain liquid crystals of graphene oxide over 30 cm through boundary-free sheargraphy.The obtained monodomain liquid crystals exhibit large-area uniform alignment of sheets,which has the same optical polarized angle and intensity.The monodomain liquid crystals provide bidirectionally ordered skeletons,which can be applied as lightweight thermal management materials with bidirectionally high thermal and electrical conductivity.Furthermore,we extend the controllable topology of two-dimensional colloids by introducing singularities and disclinations in monodomain liquid crystals.Topological structures with defect strength from−2 to+2 were realized.This work provides a facile methodology to study the structural order of soft matter at a macroscopic level,facilitating the fabrication of metamaterials with tunable and highly anisotropic architectures.Min Cao Senping Liu Qingli Zhu Ya Wang Jingyu Ma Zeshen Li Dan Chang Enhui Zhu Xin Ming Yingjun Liu Yanqiu Jiang Zhen Xu Chao Gao 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12:2
4High Rate and Long Lifespan Sodium‑Organic Batteries Using Pseudocapacitive Porphyrin Complexes‑Based Cathode显示文摘Sodium-organic batteries utilizing natural abundance of sodium element and renewable active materials gain great attentions for grid-scale applications.However,the development is still limited by lack of suitable organic cathode materials with high electronic conductivity that can be operated stably in liquid electrolyte.Herein,we present 5,15-bis(ethynyl)-10,20-diphenylporphyrin(DEPP)and[5,15-bis(ethynyl)-10,20-diphenylporphinato]copper(II)(CuDEPP)as new cathodes for extremely stable sodium-organic batteries.The copper(II)ion partially contributes the charge storage and significantly stabilizes the structure of porphyrin complex for electrochemical energy storage.In situ electrochemical stabilization of organic cathode with a lower charging current density was identified which enables both improved high energy density and power density.An excellent longterm cycling stability up to 600 cycles and an extremely high power density of 28 kW kg−1 were achieved for porphyrin-based cathode.This observation would open new pathway for developing highly stable sodium-organic cathode for electrochemical energy storage.Xi Chen Xin Feng Bo Ren Liangzhu Jiang Hongbo Shu Xiukang Yang Zhi Chen Xiujuan Sun Enhui Liu Ping Gao 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,5:1
5Single-Reheating or Double-Reheating, Which is Better for S-CO_2 Coal Fired Power Generation System?显示文摘The objective of this paper is to provide the optimal choice of single-reheating or double-reheating when considering residual flue gas heat in S-CO_2 coal fired power system. The cascade utilization of flue gas energy includes three temperature levels, with high and low temperature ranges of flue gas heat extracted by S-CO_2 cycle and air preheater, respectively. Two methods are proposed to absorb residual flue gas heat Qre in middle temperature range. Both methods shall decrease CO_2 temperature entering the boiler T4 and increase secondary air temperature Tsec air, whose maximum value is deduced based on energy conservation in air preheater. The system is analyzed incorporating thermodynamics, boiler pressure drop and energy distribution. It is shown that at a given main vapor temperature T5, the main vapor pressure P5 can be adjusted to a value so that Qre is completely eliminated, which is called the main vapor pressure adjustment method. For this method, single-reheating is only available for higher main vapor temperatures. The power generation efficiency for single-reheating is obviously higher than double-reheating. If residual flue gas heat does exist, a flue gas heater FGC is integrated with S-CO_2 cycle, which is called the FGC method. Both single-reheating and double-reheating share similar power generation efficiency, but single-reheating creates less residual flue gas heat. 17Competitive oxidation behavior of Ni-based superalloy GH4738 at extreme temperature显示文摘A high thrust-to-weight ratio poses challenges to the high-temperature performance of Ni-based superalloys. The oxidation behavior of GH4738 at extreme temperatures has been investigated by isothermal and non-isothermal experiments. As a result of the competitive diffusion of alloying elements, the oxide scale included an outermost porous oxide layer (OOL), an inner relatively dense oxide layer (IOL), and an internal oxide zone (IOZ), depending on the temperature and time. A high temperature led to the formation of large voids at the IOL/IOZ interface. At 1200℃, the continuity of the Cr-rich oxide layer in the IOL was destroyed, and thus, spallation occurred. Extension of oxidation time contributed to the size of Al-rich oxide particles with the increase in the IOZ. 18Synthesis of CA_(6)/AlON composite with enhanced slag resistance显示文摘Different amounts of AlON have been introduced in calcium hexaaluminate(CA_(6)) using two approaches, that is, one-step and twostep methods, to improve the slag resistance of CA_(6). A one-step method can directly sinter the mixtures combining Al_(2)O_(3), CaCO_(3), and Al in flowing nitrogen, in which AlON clusters are always formed because of the poor wettability of Al by Al_(2)O_(3), leading to the high porosity of CA_(6)/AlON composite. In a two-step method, CA_(6)and AlON are prepared separately and then mixed and sintered in flowing nitrogen. Compared with the sample prepared by the one-step method, CA_(6)and AlON in composite by the two-step method are more uniformly distributed,and the optimized amount of AlON added is 10wt%. The slag corrosion and penetration test shows that the CA_(6)/AlON composite using the two-step method exhibits superior slag corrosion protection. 19Grid cell remapping under three-dimensional object and social landmarks detected by implantable microelectrode arrays for the medial entorhinal cortex显示文摘Grid cells with stable hexagonal firing patterns in the medial entorhinal cortex(MEC)carry the vital function of serving as a metric for the surrounding environment.Whether this mechanism processes only spatial information or involves nonspatial information remains elusive.Here,we fabricated an MEC-shaped microelectrode array(MEA)to detect the variation in neural spikes and local field potentials of the MEC when rats forage in a square enclosure with a planar,three-dimensional object and social landmarks in sequence.The results showed that grid cells exhibited rate remapping under social conditions in which spike firing fields closer to the social landmark had a higher firing rate.Furthermore,global remapping showed that hexagonal firing patterns were rotated and scaled when the planar landmark was replaced with object and social landmarks.In addition,when grid cells were activated,the local field potentials were dominated by the theta band(5–8 Hz),and spike phase locking was observed at troughs of theta oscillations.Our results suggest the pattern separation mechanism of grid cells in which the spatial firing structure and firing rate respond to spatial and social information,respectively,which may provide new insights into how the brain creates a cognitive map.Zhaojie Xu Fan Mo Gucheng Yang Penghui Fan Yiding Wang Botao Lu Jingyu Xie Yuchuan Dai Yilin Song Enhui He Shihong Xu Juntao Liu Mixia Wang Xinxia Cai 2022Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,5:0
20Mild fabrication of SiC/C nanosheets with prolonged cycling stability as supercapacitor显示文摘A facile and mild route to synthesize C-coated SiC nanosheets(SiC/C NSs)via wet-chemical etching in hydrofluoric acid(HF)at 60°C for 48 h using carbon aluminum silicate(Al_(4)SiC_(4))as raw materials is reported for the first time.HF molecule leads to the breaking of C-Al bonds in Al_(4)SiC_(4),which eventually results in the formation of two-dimensional SiC nanosheets.A carbon layer with a thickness of approximately 1.5 nm is formed on the surface of SiC nanosheets due to the excess carbon.The prepared SiC/C NSs possess a smooth and rectangular sheet with a mean 150 nm in width,500 nm in length and10 nm in thickness,respectively.The crystallographic characterization indicates that 3C-SiC and 2H-SiC coexist and the parallel plane relationship of 3C/2H-SiC heterojunction is(111)_(3C-SiC)//(001)_(2H-SiC).Due to the formed 3C-SiC/2H-SiC heterojunction and graphitic carbon,the fabricated electrode based on SiC/C NSs exhibits prolonged cycling stability and high specific areal capacitance as a promising supercapacitor candidate.It remains 91.2%retention even after 20,000 cycles and 734μF/cm^(2)at a scan rate of 10 m V/s.Shuang Liu Enhui Wang Shichun Liu Chunyu Guo Hailong Wang Tao Yang Xinmei Hou 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,15:0
