| 1 | Complexity of software trustworthiness and its dynamical statistical analysis methods显示文摘Developing trusted softwares has become an important trend and a natural choice in the development of software technology and applications. At present,the method of measurement and assessment of software trustworthiness cannot guarantee safe and reliable operations of software systems completely and effectively. Based on the dynamical system study,this paper interprets the characteristics of behaviors of software systems and the basic scientific problems of software trustworthiness complexity,analyzes the characteristics of complexity of software trustworthiness,and proposes to study the software trustworthiness measurement in terms of the complexity of software trustworthiness. Using the dynamical statistical analysis methods,the paper advances an invariant-measure based assessment method of software trustworthiness by statistical indices,and hereby provides a dynamical criterion for the untrustworthiness of software systems. | 2 | Ultrahigh Temperature Metamorphic Record of Pelitic Granulites in the Huangtuyao Area of the Huai’an Complex,North China Craton显示文摘Pelitic granulite from the Huangtuyao area,occurrs in the Huai'an Complex,is located in the Trans-North China Orogen of the North China Craton.On the basis of petrolography,mineral component,and phase equilibrium modeling studies,the P-T conditions and mineral assemblages of pelitic granulites can be divided into four metamorphic stages:the prograde metamorphic stage M1 defined by the stable mineral assemblage of Grt1(garnet core)+Pl+Bt+Kfs+Qz+Rt,the peak pressure Pmax stage M2 indicated by Grt2(garnet mantle)+Kfs±(Ky)+Rt+Qz+Liq(melt),peak temperature Tmax stage M3 characterized by Grt3(garnet rim)+Sill+Pl+Kfs+Qz+Ilm+Liq,and retrograde stage M4 represented by Grt(in matrix)+Kfs+Sill+Bt+Pl+Qz+Ilm.By using the THERMOCALC V340,the P-T conditions are estimated at^13.8–14.1 kbar and^840–850℃at stage M2,and 7–7.2 kbar and 909–915℃for the Tmax stage M3,indicating an ultra-high temperature(UHT)metamorphic overprinting during decompression and heating process after high pressure granulite facies metamorphism.The mineral assemblages and their P-T conditions presented a clockwise P-T trajectory for the Huangtuyao pelitic granulites.The major metamorphic events at^1.95 and^1.88 Ga obtained by the zircon U-Pb dating suggest that pelitic granulites from the Huangtuyao area has undergone HP granulite metamorphism which probably occurred in the prograde metamorphism and related to the collision between the Ordos and the Yinshan blocks,and afterwards UHT metamorphism is related to crustal extension after continental-continental collision. | Shaoting Ma Xu-Ping Li Hao Liu Fanmei Kong Han Wang | 2019 | Journal of Earth Science2019,30,6: | 5 |
| 3 | High Elevation Energy and Water Balance:the Roles of Surface Albedo and Temperature显示文摘Observation and modeling of the coupled energy and water balance is the key to understand hydrospheric and cryospheric processes at high elevation.The paper summarizes the progress to address this aspect in relation with different earth system elements,from glaciers to wetlands.The energy budget of two glaciers,i.e.Xiao Dongkemadi and Parlung No.4,was studied by means of extended field measurements and a distributed model of the coupled energy and mass balance was developed and evaluated.The need for accurate characterization of surface albedo was further documented for the entire Qinghai Tibet Plateau by numerical experiments with Weather Research and Forecast(WRF)on the sensitivity of the atmospheric boundary layer to the parameterization of land surface processes.A new approach to the calibration of a coupled distributed watershed model of the energy and water balance was demonstrated by a case study on the Heihe River Basin in northwestern China.The assimilation of land surface temperature did lead to the retrieval of critical soil and vegetation properties as the soil permeability and the canopy resistance to the exchange of vapour and carbon dioxide.The retrievals of actual Evapo-Transpiration(ET)were generated by the ETMonitor system and evaluated against eddy covariance measurements at sites spread throughout Asia.As regards glacier response to climate variability,the combined findings based on satellite data and model experiments showed that the spatial variability of surface albedo and temperature is significant and controls both glacier mass balance and flow.Experiments with both atmospheric and hydrosphere-cryosphere models documented the need and advantages of using accurate retrievals of land surface albedo to capture lan-atmosphere interactions at high elevation. | Massimo MENENTI Li JIA Marco MANCINI Xin LI Francesca PELLICCIOTTI Kun YANG Jiancheng SHI Maria Jose ESCORIHUELA Chiara CORBARI Shaoting REN Chunfeng MA Chaolei ZHENG Lian LIU Thomas SHAW Baohong DING Wei YANG | 2020 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,4: | 3 |

| 6 | Consistency of the penalized MLE for two-parameter gamma mixture models显示文摘Two-parameter gamma distributions are widely used in liability theory, lifetime data analysis, financial statistics, and other areas. Finite mixtures of gamma distributions are their natural extensions, and they are particularly useful when the population is suspected of heterogeneity. These distributions are successfully employed in various applications, but many researchers falsely believe that the maximum likelihood estimator of the mixing distribution is consistent. Similarly to finite mixtures of normal distributions, the likelihood function under finite gamma mixtures is unbounded. Because of this, each observed value leads to a global maximum that is irrelevant to the true distribution. We apply a seemingly negligible penalty to the likelihood according to the shape parameters in the fitted model. We show that this penalty restores the consistency of the likelihoodbased estimator of the mixing distribution under finite gamma mixture models. | 9 | The impact of demographic dynamics on food consumption and its environmental outcomes:Evidence from China显示文摘With increasing population and changing demographics,food consumption has experienced a significant transition in quantity and quality.However,a dearth of knowledge remains regarding its environmental impacts and how it responds to demographic dynamics,particularly in emerging economies like China.Using the two-stage Quadratic Almost Demand System(QUAIDS)model,this study empirically examines the impact of demographic dynamics on food consumption and its environmental outcomes based on the provincial data from 2000 to 2020 in China.Under various scenarios,according to changes in demographics,we extend our analysis to project the long-term trend of food consumption and its environmental impacts,including greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions,water footprint(WF),and land appropriation(LA).The results reveal that an increase in the proportion of senior people significantly decreases the consumption of grain and livestock meat and increases the consumption of poultry,egg,and aquatic products,particularly for urban residents.Moreover,an increase in the proportion of males in the population leads to higher consumption of poultry and aquatic products.Correspondingly,in the current scenario of an increased aging population and sex ratio,it is anticipated that GHG emissions,WF,and LA are likely to decrease by 1.37,2.52,and 3.56%,respectively.More importantly,in the scenario adhering to the standards of nutritional intake according to the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents in 2022,GHG emissions,WF,and LA in urban areas would increase by 12.78,20.94,and 18.32%,respectively.Our findings suggest that changing demographics should be considered when designing policies to mitigate the diet-environment-health trilemma and achieve sustainable food consumption. | Shaoting Li Xuan Chen Yanjun Ren Thomas Glauben | 2024 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,2: | 1 |
| 10 | Spatiotemporal characteristics of cultivated land use eco-efficiency and its influencing factors in China from 2000 to 2020显示文摘Improving cultivated land use eco-efficiency(CLUE)can effectively promote agricultural sustainability,particularly in developing countries where CLUE is generally low.This study used provincial-level data from China to evaluate the spatiotemporal evolution of CLUE from 2000 to 2020 and identified the influencing factors of CLUE by using a panel Tobit model.In addition,given the undesirable outputs of agricultural production,we incorporated carbon emissions and nonpoint source pollution into the global benchmark-undesirable output-super efficiency-slacks-based measure(GB-US-SBM)model,which combines global benchmark technology,undesirable output,super efficiency,and slacks-based measure.The results indicated that there was an upward trend in CLUE in China from 2000 to 2020,with an increase rate of 2.62%.The temporal evolution of CLUE in China could be classified into three distinct stages:a period of fluctuating decrease(2000-2007),a phase of gradual increase(2008-2014),and a period of rapid growth(2015-2020).The major grain-producing areas(MPAs)had a lower CLUE than their counterparts,namely,non-major grain-production areas(non-MPAs).The spatial agglomeration effect followed a northeast-southwest strip distribution;and the movement path of barycentre revealed a'P'shape,with Luoyang City,Henan Province,as the centre.In terms of influencing factors of CLUE,investment in science and technology played the most vital role in improving CLUE,while irrigation index had the most negative effect.It should be noted that these two influencing factors had different impacts on MPAs and non-MPAs.Therefore,relevant departments should formulate policies to enhance the level of science and technology,improve irrigation condition,and promote sustainable utilization of cultivated land. | LI Shaoting MU Na REN Yanjun Thomas GLAUBEN | 2024 | Journal of Arid Land2024,16,3: | 0 |

| 12 | Hexamerin and allergen are required for female reproduction in the American cockroach,Periplaneta americana显示文摘Reproduction is of great importance for the continuation of the species.In insects,the fat body is the major tissue for nutrient storage and involved in vitellogenesis,which is essential for female reproduction.Here,2 proteins,hexamerin and allergen,were separated from the fat bodies of adult female American cockroaches(Periplaneta americana)and identified as storage proteins,encoding for 733 amino acids with molecular weight of 87.88 kDa and 686 amino acids with molecular weight of 82.18 kDa,respectively.The encoding genes of these 2 storage proteins are mainly expressed in the fat body.RNA interference-mediated knockdown of Hexamerin and Allergen in the early stage of the first reproductive cycle in females suppressed vitellogenesis and ovarian maturation,indicating that these storage proteins are involved in controlling reproduction.Importantly,the expression of Hexamerin and Allergen was repressed by knockdown of the juvenile hormone(JH)receptor gene Met and the primary response gene Kr-h1,and was induced by methoprene,a JH analog,in both in vivo and in vitro experiments.Altogether,we have determined that hexamerin and allergen are identified as storage proteins and play an important role in promoting female reproduction in the American cockroach.The expression of their encoding genes is induced by JH signaling.Our data reveal a novel mechanism by which hexamerin and allergen are necessary for JH-stimulated female reproduction. | Shiming Zhu Xiaoyi Chen Sishi Xia Qin Li Ziqi Ye Shaoting Zhao Kexin Liu Fangfang Liu | 2024 | Insect Science2024,31,1: | 0 |
