2Surface modification of hydrophobic NaYF_4:Yb,Er upconversion nanophosphors and their applications for immunoassay显示文摘β-NaYF4:Yb,Er upconversion nanophosphor (UCNP) is known as one of the most efficient NIR-to-visible upconversion materials, which shows great potential in bioanalytical chemistry and bioimaging. However, its applications are greatly limited due to its low water dispersibility and thus poor biocompatibility. In this paper, poly(acrylic acid) (PAA)-based ligand exchange strategies are carried out to modify oleic acid-capped hydrophobic β-NaYF4:Yb,Er UCNPs into hydrophilic ones. After efficient surface modification, the presence of free carboxylic acid groups on the surfaces of UCNPs results in high solubility in water, and also allows further conjugation with NH2-containing biomolecules. Facilitated by the covalent linkage between the-COOH groups on UCNPs surfaces and -NH2 groups in antigen/antibody, a sensitive immunosensor is constructed by using PAA-functionalized β-NaYF4:Yb,Er UCNPs as biolabels. 4Synthesis,structure and physical properties of the one-dimensional chain complex of tetrathiafulvalene carboxylate显示文摘A new Co(Ⅱ) coordination polymer bearing TTF carboxylate group, [{Co2(trioTTF)2(H2O)6}·5H2O]n (1) (trioTTF=2-(5,6,8,9,11,12,14,15-octahydro-[1,3]dithiolo[4,5-h][1,4,13,7,10]trioxadithiacyclopentadecin-2-ylidene)-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dicarboxylate), has been prepared and characterized. In the structure of 1, shorter intermolecular S····S contacts (3.565 △) are found between the trioTTF groups from neighboring chains. 5Platelet-mediated adhesion facilitates leukocyte sequestration in hypoxia-reoxygenated microvessels显示文摘Leukocyte transendothelial migration and sequestration are two distinct outcomes following leukocyte adhesion to endothelium during ischemia-reperfusion injury, in which platelets may play a pivotal role. In the present study, we established an in vitro hypoxia-reoxygenation model to mimic ischemia-reperfusion injury and found platelet pre-incubation significantly increased leukocyte adhesion to endothelial cells after hyoxia-reoxygenation(over 67%). Blockade of endothelial-cell-expressed adhesion molecules inhibited leukocyte direct adhesion to endothelial cells, while platelet-mediated leukocyte adhesion was suppressed by blockade of platelet-expressed adhesion molecules. Further experiments revealed platelets acted as a bridge to mediate leukocyte adhesion, and platelet-mediated adhesion was the predominant pattern in the presence of platelets. However, platelet pre-incubation significantly suppressed leukocyte transendothelial migration after hypoxia-reoxygenation(over 31%), which could be aggravated by blockade of endothelial-cell-expressed adhesion molecules, but alleviated by blockade of platelet-expressed adhesion molecules. This would indicate that platelet-mediated adhesion disrupted leukocyte transendothelial migration. An in vivo mesenteric ischemia-reperfusion model demonstrated leukocyte transfusion alone caused mild leukocyte adhesion to reperfused vessels and subsequent leukocyte infiltration, while simultaneous leukocyte and platelet transfusion led to massive leukocyte adhesion and sequestration within reperfused microvessels. Our studies revealed platelets enhanced leukocyte adhesion to endothelial cells, but suppressed leukocyte transendothelial migration. 6Insight into selective removal of copper from high-concentration nickel solutions with XPS and DFT:New technique to prepare 5N-nickel with chelating resin显示文摘An efficient and profitable separation process was proposed to prepare 5N(the purity of the metal solution reaches 99.999%) high-purity nickel from 3N nickel-solutions using Purolite S984. The adsorption performance of this superior resin, especially its selectivity for metal ions,was explored quantitatively. The maximum adsorption capacity for copper was 2.286 mmol/g calculated by the Langmuir model, which was twice as large as that for nickel. In the binary systems, the adsorption capacity for nickel was decreased by 45%, indicating direct competition for the active sites. The infinite separation factor for copper versus nickel exceeded 300, revealing the feasibility of preparing5N-level high-purity nickel solutions, which was further verified using the 800 BV(bed volume) effluent in the column dynamic process.According to the cost–benefit analysis, purification contributed to a profit of approximately 60,000 USD per cycle, and the investment return period was less than 1/3 years. Density functional theory analysis confirmed that four nitrogen atoms would be involved in the coordination complex and thus a structure involving two five-membered rings could be achieved. 7Structure regulation for ultra-high luminescence quantum yield lanthanide complex and simultaneous detection of cancer marker and ferrous ion显示文摘The exploitation of a highly selective and sensitive probe to detect both cancer marker and metal ion is of great importance.In this work,the 'one stone two bird' agent of 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) is designed to disrupt the polymeric lanthanide MOFs(LnMOFs,[Ln(CHO_(2))_(3)]n,Ln=Tb,la;Eu,1 b,CHO_(2)=formic acid) {[Ln(CHO_(2))_(4)·(C_(2) H_(8) N)]n,Ln=Y,2 a;Gd,2 b;Dy,2 c,C_(2)H_(8) N=dimethylamine}) into a soluble mononuclear species [Ln(phen)_(2)(NO_(3))_(3),Ln=Tb,3 a;Eu,3 b] as well as to provide an antenna for efficient photons absorption,resulting in an ultra-high luminescence quantum yield(QY,90%) europium complex.The luminescence QY is among the highest record of monomeric(zero-dimensional) lanthanide complexes.Furthermore,mononuclear Tb3+complex(3 a) functions as a multiplex sensor towards both Fe^(2+)and cancer marker of 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic acid(5-HIAA).Importantly,the limit of detection(LOD)for sensing 5-HIAA is an ultra-sensitive value of 1 × 10 s mol/L,which is even lower than that necessary for the early diagnosis of carcinoid tumors.More interestingly,sensing results in simulated urine reveals that 3 a has potential application for early diagnosis in the clinic.Min Liu Zhifeng Li Jianhui Xiong Yefei Jiang Ting Tang Jinkai Qiu Junwei Yao Seik Weng Ng Chenghui Zeng 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,10:3

13YAP regulates the liver size during the fasting-refeeding transition in mice显示文摘Liver is the central hub regulating energy metabolism during feeding-fasting transition.Evidence suggests that fasting and refeeding induce dynamic changes in liver size,but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.Yes-associated protein(YAP)is a key regulator of organ size.This study aims to explore the role of YAP in fasting-and refeeding-induced changes in liver size.Here,fasting significantly reduced liver size,which was recovered to the normal level after refeeding.Moreover,hepatocyte size was decreased and hepatocyte proliferation was inhibited after fasting.Conversely,refeeding promoted hepatocyte enlargement and proliferation compared to fasted state.Mechanistically,fasting or refeeding regulated the expression of YAP and its downstream targets,as well as the proliferation-related protein cyclin D1(CCND1).Furthermore,fasting significantly reduced the liver size in AAV-control mice,which was mitigated in AAV Yap(5SA)mice.Yap overexpression also prevented the effect of fasting on hepatocyte size and proliferation.Besides,the recovery of liver size after refeeding was delayed in AAV Yap shRNA mice.Yap knockdown attenuated refeeding-induced hepatocyte enlargement and proliferation.In summary,this study demonstrated that YAP plays an important role in dynamic changes of liver size during fasting-refeeding transition,which provides new evidence for YAP in regulating liver size under energy stress.Xuan Li Shicheng Fan Chenghui Cai Yue Gao Xinhui Wang Yifei Zhang Hangfei Liang Huilin Li Jie Yang Min Huang Huichang Bi 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,4:1
