2Multi-level modulation scheme based on PAK algorithm for optical camera communications显示文摘In an optical camera communication(OCC) system, multi-level modulation is essential for data rate enhancement with the finite frame rate of the receiving camera constraint, where the K-means algorithm is widely used as a thresholding scheme. The result of K-means clustering is sensitive to initial cluster centers. In this paper, we propose a multi-level modulation scheme utilizing the pilot-aided K-means(PAK) algorithm. PAK algorithm innovates in both obtaining the state of the stripes propagated through the optical channel under different environments and overcoming the susceptibility of K-means. Our scheme could prompt data rate and improve the performance of OCC. 3Support Vector Regression for Bus Travel Time Prediction Using Wavelet Transform显示文摘In order to accurately predict bus travel time, a hybrid model based on combining wavelet transform technique with support vector regression(WT-SVR) model is employed. In this model, wavelet decomposition is used to extract important information of data at different levels and enhances the forecasting ability of the model. After wavelet transform different components are forecasted by their corresponding SVR predictors. The final prediction result is obtained by the summation of the predicted results for each component. The proposed hybrid model is examined by the data of bus route No.550 in Nanjing, China. The performance of WT-SVR model is evaluated by mean absolute error(MAE), mean absolute percent error(MAPE) and relative mean square error(RMSE), and also compared to regular SVR and ANN models. The results show that the prediction method based on wavelet transform and SVR has better tracking ability and dynamic behavior than regular SVR and ANN models. The forecasting performance is remarkably improved to obtain within 6% MAPE for testing section Ⅰ and 8% MAPE for testing section Ⅱ, which proves that the suggested approach is feasible and applicable in bus travel time prediction.Yang Liu Yanjie Ji Keyu Chen Xinyi Qi 2019Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2019,26,3:2

6Flexible,stretchable,and transparent InGaN/GaN multiple quantum wells/polyacrylamide hydrogel-based light emitting diodes显示文摘Visualization is a direct,efficient,and simple interface method to realize the interaction between human and machine,whereas the flexible display unit,as the major bottleneck,still deeply hinders the advances of wearable and virtual reality devices.To obtain flexible optoelectronic devices,one of the effective methods is to transfer a high-efficient and long-lifetime inorganic optoelectronic film from its rigid epitaxial substrate to a foreign flexible/soft substrate.Additionally,piezo-phototronic effect is a fundamental theory for guiding the design of flexible optoelectronic devices.Herein,we demonstrate a flexible,stretchable,and transparent InGaN/GaN multiple quantum wells(MQWs)/polyacrylamide(PAAM)hydrogel-based light emitting diode coupling with the piezo-phototronic effect.The quantum well energy band and integrated luminous intensity(increased by more than 31.3%)are significantly modulated by external mechanical stimuli in the device.Benefiting from the small Young's modulus of hydrogel and weak Van der Waals force,the composite film can endure an extreme tensile condition of about 21.1%stretching with negligible tensile strains transmitted to the InGaN/GaN MQWs.And the stable photoluminescence characteristics can be observed.Moreover,the hydrogen-bond adsorption and excellent transparency of the hydrogel substrate greatly facilitate the packaging and luminescence of the optoelectronic device.And thus,such a novel integration scheme of inorganic semiconductor materials and organic hydrogel materials would help to guide the robust stretchable optoelectronic devices,and show great potential in emerging wearable devices and virtual reality applications.Jiwei Chen Jiangwen Wang Keyu Ji Bing Jiang Xiao Cui Wei Sha Bingjun Wang Xinhuan Dai Qilin Hua Lingyu Wan Weiguo Hu 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1
7Characteristics,origins,and significance of pyrites in deep-water shales显示文摘As important metal sulfides in the geochemical cycle of sulfur,the characteristics and formation processes of pyrites can provide useful clues regarding their environment.Based on previous findings,shale pyrites were divided into three major classes(euhedral pyrites,framboidal pyrites(framboids)and metasomatic pyrites)and six sub-classes in this study.At the microscopic scale,each type of pyrite is associated with a different formation process.Framboids are formed by burst nucleation in environments with a homogeneous distribution of nutrients while euhedral pyrites are usually formed on pre-existing sites(such as=FeS on the minerals surface)in the heterogeneous system.Metasomatic pyrites formed by the replacement of other ions in accountable material by iron ions and hydrogen sulfide ions in hydrothermal events.The morphology and isotope value of pyrite provide information to track the origins of their nutrient and characteristics of sulfur and iron pools.In addition,the trace element content of pyrite can serve as a proxy for paleo-ocean trace element abundance,indicating changes in atmospheric oxygen content.Additionally,pyrite can also serves as an indicator of shale gas reservoirs.Chao LIANG Shichao JI Yingchang CAO Keyu LIU Jing WU Fang HAO 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,2:0
8Research on mobile phone swaying and receiving position in optical camera communication显示文摘Optical camera communication(OCC) is gaining increasing attention in researches. However, applying it to a real-world scenario may encounter many practical problems, such as the communication device may sway or there may be a position offset between the camera and the light source, which may distort the stripes and make the message unreceivable. To this end, we propose pilot-based stripe area estimation(P-SAE) decoding algorithm, and design a pixels rearrangement(PR) scheme and stripes separation logic decision method(SSLD) to improve the decoding performance under sway or receiving position offset. Finally, we build a practical OCC system and carry out experiments to verify the effectiveness of the decoding algorithm.
