2A REVIEW ON ARTERY WALL SEGMENTATION TECHNIQUES AND INTIMA-MEDIA THICKNESS MEASUREMENT FOR CAROTID ULTRASOUND IMAGES显示文摘Stroke and heart attack,which could be led by a kind of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular disease named as atherosclerosis,would seriously cause human morbidity and mortality.It is important for the early stage diagnosis and monitoring medical intervention of the atherosclerosis.Carotid stenosis is a classical atherosclerotic lesion with vessel wall narrowing down and accumulating plaques burden.The carotid artery of intima-media thickness(IMT)is a key indicator to the disease.With the development of computer assisted diagnosis technology,the imaging techniques,segmentation algorithms,measurement methods,and evaluation tools have made considerable progress.Ultrasound imaging,being real-time,economic,reliable,and safe,now seems to become a standard in vascular assessment methodology especially for the measurement of IMT.This review firstly attempts to discuss the clinical relevance of measurements in clinical practice at first,and then followed by the challenges that one has to face when approaching the segmentation of ultrasound images.Secondly,the commonly used methods for the IMT segmentation and measurement are presented.Thirdly,discussion and evaluation of different segmentation techniques are performed.An overview of summary and future perspectives is given finally.XIN YANG WANJI HE KAITONG LI JIAOYING JIN XUMING ZHANG MING YUCHI MINGYUE DING 2012Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2012,5,1:0
3Self-Assembled VS4 Hierarchitectures with Enhanced Capacity and Stability for Sodium Storage显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have become an auspicious candidate for largescale energy storage by cause of low cost,natural abundance,and similar working principle with lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).At present,there is an urgent need to explore superior anode materials with rapid and stable sodiation/desodiation.Herein,3D self-assembled VS4 curly nanosheets hierarchitectures(VS4-CN-Hs)are developed for SIB anodes,where VS4 possesses a large theoretical sodium storage capacity,and the building block of nanosheets has large exposed surface area to the electrolyte as well as the constructed hierarchitectures can provide abundant buffer space to alleviate the volume expansion.As a result,VS4-CN-Hs anode possesses excellent electrochemical performance under a wide voltage window of 0.01–3.0 V,such as high reversible capacity of 863 mA h g^(−1) at 0.1 A g^(−1),marvelous rate feature(444 mA h g^(−1) at 10 A g^(−1)),and extralong cycle stability(386 mA h g^(−1) after 1000 times at 5 A g^(−1)).Siling Cheng Kaitong Yao Kunxiong Zheng Qifei Li Dong Chen Yu Jiang Weiling Liu Yuezhan Feng Xianhong Rui Yan Yu 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,2:0

5Bioinformatics exploration of potential common therapeutic targets for systemic and pulmonary arterial hypertension-induced myocardial hypertrophy显示文摘Systemic and pulmonary arterial hypertension(PAH)can induce left and right ventricular hypertrophy,respectively,but common therapeutic targets for both left and right hypertrophy are limited.In this study,we attempt to explore potential common therapeutic targets and screen out potential target drugs for further study.Cardiac mRNA expression profiles in mice with transverse aortic constriction(TAC)and pulmonary arterial constriction(PAC)are obtained from online databases.After bioinformatics analyses,we generate TAC and PAC mouse models to validate the phenotypes of cardiac remodelling as well as the identified hub genes.Bioinformatics analyses show that there are 214 independent differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in GSE136308(TAC related)and 2607 independent DEGs in GSE30922(PAC related),while 547 shared DEGs are associated with the function of the extracellular matrix(ECM)or involved in the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway,cytokine-cytokine receptor interactions,and ECM-receptor interactions.We identifyd Fn1,Il6,Col1a1,Igf1,Col1a2,Timp1,Col3a1,Cd44,Ctgf and Postn as hub genes of the shared DEGs,and most of them are associated with myocardial fibrosis.Those hub genes and phenotypes of cardiac remodelling are validated in our TAC and PAC mouse models.Furthermore,we identify dehydroisoandrosterone(DHEA),iloprost and 4,5-dianilinophthalimide(DAPH)as potential therapeutic drugs targeting both left and right ventricular hypertrophy and validate the effect of DHEA.These findings suggest that DHEA could be an effective drug for pressure overload-induced left or right ventricular hypertrophy by regulating the shared hub differentially expressed genes associated with fibrosis.Lu Chen Mingjue Li Mengjia Shen Yingqi Zhu Kaitong Chen Xiaoxia Huang Cankun Zheng Qiancheng Wang Hairuo Lin Wangjun Liao Jianping Bin Siyuan Ma Yulin Liao 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,5:0
