| 4 | Analysis Scheme for Density Modulation Experiments to Study Particle Confinements显示文摘Density modulation experiments are powerful experimental schemes for the studyof particle transport.The diffusion coefficients(D)and convection velocity(V),which cannot beevaluated from the particle balance in the equilibrium state,can be obtained separately.Further,the estimated values of D and V are determined independent of the absolute value of the particlesource rate,which is difficult to obtain experimentally.However,the sensitivities and interpreta-tion of D and V from the modulation experiments need to be considered.This paper describesnumerical techniques for solving the particle balance equation of the modulation components.Ex-amples of the analysis are shown regarding the data of LHD experiments,and the results of themodulation experiments are discussed. | K. | 5 | Formation of Edge Transport Barriers by L-H Transition and Large Reversed Plasma Current on LHD显示文摘On the Large Helical Device(LHD)where nested magnetic surfaces are surroundedby the ergodic field layer,edge transport barrier(ETB)was produced in neutral-beam-injection(NBI)heated plasmas through transition and non-transition processes.The former case is the ETBformation by L-H transition,where characteristics of L-H transition observed in a tokamak plasmaare clearly recognized.The confinement improvement is the modest(~10%),compared with theISS95 international stellarator scaling.The threshold power for the transition is comparable orslightly lower than the ITER scaling law established by tokamaks and compact tori.The ETBis formed inside the ergodic field layer of the vacuum field.The ETB formation destabilizes edgecoherent modes such as m/n=1/1,2/3 and 1/2,of which rational surfaces are in the magnetichill.The formed ETB is partially and transiently destroyed by these coherent edge MHD modesand edge localized modes(ELMs)typically observed in Hα signals.The latter ETB is observed ina plasma with large reversed NBI-driven current more than 100 kA at Bt = 1 T.In these plasmas,the edge magnetic shear is enhanced by the current and the rotational transform in the core regionis expected to be appreciably reduced.Thus reduced rotational transform in the plasma centralregion will enhance outward heat and particle fluxes toward ergodic edge layer.The ETB withsteep electron temperature gradient up to~5 keV/m is formed by blocking enhanced outwardheat flux. | K. | 6 | Review of Divertor Studies in LHD显示文摘In the Large Helical Device(LHD),two different divertor configurations,i.e.helicaldivertor(HD)and local island divertor(LID),are utilized to control the edge plasma.The HDwith two X-points is an intrinsic divertor for heliotron devices,accompanied with a relatively thickergodic layer outside the confinement region.Edge and divertor plasma behavior from low densityto high density regimes is presented,referring to the divertor detachment.The effect of the ergodiclayer on the edge transport is also discussed.On the other hand,the LID is an advanced divertorconcept which realizes a high pumping efficiency by the combination of an externally inducedmagnetic island and a closed pumping system.Experimental results to confirm the fundamentaldivertor performance of the LID are presented. | T. | 7 | 超声检测结合妊娠早期颈后皮下半透明层厚度筛查诊断胎儿畸形的可行性研究显示文摘The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a fetal anatomy survey in conjunction with first-trimester nuchal translucency (NT) screening ultrasound in an unselected pregnant population performed by sonographers. Study design: This was a prospective observational study of women presenting for NT screening for chromosomal defects. An anatomic survey was performed after a standardized protocol with a maximum scan time of 30 minutes. Results: Three hundred twenty-five singleton fetuses (11+ 0 to 13+ 6 weeks)- were examined and pregnancy outcome was available for 300 (92.3% ) of cases. In 89 (24.6% ) cases, transvaginal ultrasound was performed. The following fetal structures were seen in 95% of cases: cranium and intracranial anatomy, face, cord insertion, stomach, and all 4 limbs. The bladder was visualized in 89.5% of cases, the cardiac 4 chamber view in 84% , and the spine in only 45% of cases. Complete anatomy was seen in 109 (33% ). Crown rump length greater than 55 mm and sonographer experience were important factors contributing to anatomic visibility. Of a total of 6 congenital defects in this cohort, 1 was detected in the first trimester (neural tube defect), 4 at the 18- to 20- week anatomic scan, and 1 postnatally. Conclusion: A complete anatomy survey was successful in 33% of first-trimester fetuses in a time-limited sonographer based screening program. Since some anomalies are not evident in the first trimester, the 18- to 20- week scan remains the gold standard. | McAuliffe F. M. F. ong K. W. | 8 | Magnetic Islands Observed by a Fast-Framing Tangentially Viewing Soft X-Ray Camera on LHD and TEXTOR显示文摘The formation of magnetic islands within plasmas confined magnetically within thetori has significant influence upon their confinement and stability.To obtain an experimentalinsight into the formation and dynamics of such island structures we employed a fast framingcamera viewing the plasma tangentially in the toroidal direction.The toroidal viewing directiongives the advantage in that the islands are viewed almost tangentially and this greatly facilitatesthe reconstruction of the local data from the line integrated ones.We discuss an effective methodto do inversion.To study the fluctuations seen in the video images we perform a singular valuedecomposition,and then we use a truncated least square method to infer their pictures in space. | S.
