| 3 | Echinacoside Protects Against MPP+-Induced Neuronal Apoptosis via ROS/ATF3/CHOP Pathway Regulation显示文摘Echinacoside(ECH) is protective in a mouse model of Parkinson's disease(PD) induced by 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium ion(MPP^+). To investigate the mechanisms involved, SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells were treated with MPP^+or a combination of MPP^+and ECH,and the expression of ATF3(activating transcription factor3), CHOP(C/EBP-homologous protein), SCNA(synuclein alpha), and GDNF(glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) was assessed. The results showed that ECH significantly improved cell survival by inhibiting the generation of MPP^+-induced reactive oxygen species(ROS). In addition, ECH suppressed the ROS and MPP^+-induced expression of apoptotic genes(ATF3, CHOP, and SCNA). ECH markedly decreased the MPP^+-induced caspase-3 activity in a dose-dependent manner. ATF3-knockdown also decreased the CHOP and cleaved caspase-3 levels and inhibited the apoptosis induced by MPP^+.Interestingly, ECH partially restored the GDNF expression that was down-regulated by MPP^+. ECH also improved dopaminergic neuron survival during MPP^+treatment and protected these neurons against the apoptosis induced by MPTP. | 5 | Operation characteristics of AMS-02 loop heat pipe with bypass valve显示文摘Loop heat pipes (LHPs) were designed for the alpha magnetic spectrometer (AMS-02) to dissipate heat from the cryocoolers. A bypass valve is applied to the LHP to keep the cryocooler temperature above its limit ( 20°C) in cold environment. Extensive experiments were performed on operation characteristics of LHPs with the bypass valve for AMS-02 during thermal vacuum and thermal balance (TVTB) test. We found that the bypass valve can start up successfully in cold environment. With the bypass valve, the evaporator temperature is stable and can meet the requirement of the cryocooler. We analyzed three operating modes of the bypass valve. With the rapid development of hardware and network technologies, the Io T can refer to a wide variety and large number of devices, resulting in complex relationships among Io T devices. The dependencies among Io T devices, which reflect their relationships, are with reference value for the design, development and management of Io T devices. This paper proposes a stochastic model based approach for evaluating the dependencies of Io T devices. A random walk model is proposed to describe the relationships of Io T devices, and its corresponding Markov chain is obtained for dependency analysis. A framework as well as schemes and algorithms for dependency evaluation in real-world Io T are designed based on traffic measurement. | 9 | Unidirectional acoustic transmission in asymmetric bull's eye structure显示文摘Unidirectional acoustic transmission has been investigated in an asymmetric bull's eye structure, which consistes of a subwavelength hole with concentric grooves on one side of a thin steel plate. When acoustic waves impinge normally on the groove side of the asymmetric structure, a strong acoustic transmitted energy flux is observed in the frequency range of 400–450 k Hz, while there is no obvious transmitted energy flux in the same frequency range if the acoustic waves impinge normally on the other side. Thus, a remarkable unidirectional acoustic transmission behavior is exhibited by the current structure. With changing the period of the grooves, it is found that the transmitted acoustic energy flux keeps unchanged while the frequency of the transmitted waves can be modified. The experiments are performed, which has confirmed the unidirectional acoustic transmission behavior in the asymmetric bull's eye structure.
