| 1 | The long-term trend of the sea surface wind speed and the wave height (wind wave, swell, mixed wave) in global ocean during the last 44 a显示文摘Utilizing the 45 a European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF)reanalysis wave data(ERA-40),the long-term trend of the sea surface wind speed and(wind wave,swell,mixed wave)wave height in the global ocean at grid point 1.5×1.5 during the last 44 a is analyzed.It is discovered that a majority of global ocean swell wave height exhibits a significant linear increasing trend(2–8 cm/decade),the distribution of annual linear trend of the significant wave height(SWH)has good consistency with that of the swell wave height.The sea surface wind speed shows an annually linear increasing trend mainly concentrated in the most waters of Southern Hemisphere westerlies,high latitude of the North Pacific,Indian Ocean north of 30 S,the waters near the western equatorial Pacific and low latitudes of the Atlantic waters,and the annually linear decreasing mainly in central and eastern equator of the Pacific,Juan.Fernandez Archipelago,the waters near South Georgia Island in the Atlantic waters.The linear variational distribution characteristic of the wind wave height is similar to that of the sea surface wind speed.Another find is that the swell is dominant in the mixed wave,the swell index in the central ocean is generally greater than that in the offshore,and the swell index in the eastern ocean coast is greater than that in the western ocean inshore,and in year-round hemisphere westerlies the swell index is relatively low. | ZHENG Chongwei ZHOU Lin HUANG Chaofan SHI Yinglong LI Jiaxun LI Jing | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,10: | 23 |
| 2 | Petrogenesis of the Xihuashan Granite in Southern Jiangxi Province,South China:Constraints from Zircon U-Pb Geochronology,Geochemistry and Nd Isotopes显示文摘Mesozoic granitic intrusions are widely distributed in the Nanling region,South China.Yanshanian granites are closely connected with the formation of tungsten deposits.The Xihuashan granite is a typical representative of tungsten-bearing granite.The Xihuashan granite consists mainly of medium-grained porphyritic biotite granite,medium-grained biotite granite and fine-grained two-mica granite,which correspond to LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb ages of 155.5±0.4 Ma,153.0±0.6 Ma and 152.8±0.9 Ma,respectively.Rocks from the Xihuashan mining area displays high SiO2(73.85% to 76.49%) and Na2O+K2O contents(8.09% to 9.43%),belonging to high-K calc-alkaline series.They are metaluminous to weakly peraluminous with A/CNK values ranging from 0.96 to 1.06.All granites in this study area are rich in Rb,Th,U and Pb,and depleted in Ba,Sr,P,Ti,Nb and Eu,especially depleted in medium-grained biotite granite and fine-grained two-mica granite.The medium-grained porphyritic biotite granites usually have high LREE concentrations,whereas medium-grained biotite granite and fine-grained two-mica granite displays high HREE contents.Our geochemical data reveal that the studied rocks are highly fractionated I-type granite.The magma underwent strong magma differentiation with decreasing temperature and increasing oxygen fugacity,which may explain the formation of three types of distinct granites.Variations of Rb,Sr and Ba concentrations in different type granites were controlled by fractional crystallization of biotite and feldspar.Fractional crystallization of monazite,allanite and apatite resulted in LREE changes in granite,and formation of garnet mainly caused HREE changes.Granites from the Xihuashan mining area have relatively high εNd(t) values(-9.77 to -11.46),indicating that they were probably generated by partial melting of underlying Proterozoic metasedimentary rocks with minor addition of juvenile crust or mantle-derived magmas. | YANG Jiehua PENG Jiantang ZHAO Junhong FU Yazhou YANG Chen HONG Yinglong | 2012 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1: | 17 |

| 4 | Performance Investigation of Cone Dielectric Elastomer Actuator Using Taguchi Method显示文摘Dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA) show promise for mechatronic applications due to the advantages of dielectric elastomer, such as lightweight, flexible, low cost, high strain, etc, and many configurations of DEAs have been demonstrated. As a kind of linear actuator, cone DEAs are studied in some laboratory prototypes due to easy manufacturing, however, their performance have not been exploited fully. Based on the working principle of DEA, a four-bar linkage mechanism is designed to provide negative stiffness preload, which can increase displacement output of actuator (outer diameter 100 mm) to 17 mm. Three cone actuating units are assembled in parallel to enhance the maximum force output to 5.07 N. Loading experiments of actuator in forward and backward strokes are performed, the experimental results show that backward stroke has stronger actuating capability than forward stroke, accordingly application of actuator is recommended. Four factors rather than applied voltage, i.e., number of actuating units, pre-stretch ratio, inner diameter, and outer diameter, are determined as influencing factors for Taguchi method. Then the performance objectives of actuator, i.e., displacement output, maximum force output, and maximum work in backward stroke, are investigated based on L9(34) Taguchi orthogonal design. The mean signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio based on the larger-the-better criterion is calculated according to the acquired displacement and force output. Analytical results show that outer diameter has the most significant influence on displacement output, and maximum force out and work output are influenced most by number of actuating units. Inner diameter also has an important effect on the performance objectives of actuator, while pre-stretch ratio has the least influence. | 5 | Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi improved plant growth and nutrient acquisition of desert ephemeral Plantago minuta under variable soil water conditions显示文摘Desert ephemeral plants play an important role in desert ecosystem.Soil water availability is considered as the major restrictive factor limiting the growth of ephemeral plants.Moreover,arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AM fungi) are widely reported to improve the growth of desert ephemerals.The present study aimed to test the hypothesis of that AM fungi could alleviate drought stress of desert ephemeral Plantago minuta,and AM fungal functions reduced with the improvement of soil water content.A pot experiment was carried out with three levels of soil water contents(4.5%,9.0%,and 15.8%(w/w)),and three AM inoculation treatments(Glomus mosseae,Glomus etunicatum and non-inoculation).The results indicate that mycorrhizal colonization rate decreased with the increase of soil water availability.Inoculation improved plant growth and N,P and K acquisition in both shoots and roots regardless water treatments.When comparing the two fungi,plants inoculated with G.mosseae performed better than those inoculated with G.etunicatum in terms of plant growth and nutrient acquisition.These results showed that ameliorative soil water did not suppress arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal functions in improving growth and nutrient acquisition of desert ephemeral Plantago minuta. | ZhaoYong SHI Bede MICKAN Gu FENG YingLong CHEN | 2015 | Journal of Arid Land2015,7,3: | 10 |
| 6 | Formability,microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of wire arc additively manufactured AZ80M magnesium alloy using gas tungsten arc welding显示文摘Wire arc additive manufacturing(WAAM)technology has been used to fabricate the multi-layer single-pass deposited wall of AZ80M magnesium(Mg)alloy by gas tungsten arc welding.The formability,thermal cycles,microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of the WAAM AZ80M Mg alloy were investigated.The results show that there was significant difference in the temperature variation and the geometries between the original several layers and the subsequent deposited layers.Owing to the arc energy input,the interpass temperature rised rapidly and then stabilized at 150℃.As a result,the width of the deposited wall increased and then kept stable.There were obvious differences in the microstructure of the WAAM AZ80M Mg alloy among the top zone,intermediate zone and bottom zone of deposited wall.During the arc deposition process,theβphase of the WAAM AZ80M Mg alloy redissolved due to the cyclic heat accumulation,and then precipitated in the grain boundary.The cyclic heat accumulation also led to weakening of dendrite segregation.From the substrate to the top zone,the hardness of the deposited wall decreased gradually,and the intermediate zone which was the main body of deposited wall had relatively uniform hardness.The tensile properties of the WAAM AZ80M Mg alloy were different between the vertical direction and the horizontal direction.And the maximum ultimate tensile strength of the WAAM AZ80M Mg alloy was 308 MPa which was close to that of the as-extruded AZ80M Mg alloy. | Yangyang Guo Gaofeng Quan Yinglong Jiang Lingbao Ren Lingling Fan Houhong Pan | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,1: | 10 |

| 8 | An organic junction between the vein and membrane of the dragonfly wing显示文摘A dragonfly wing consists of membranes and both longitudinal and cross veins.We observed the microstructure cross-section at several locations in the dragonfly wing using environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM).The organic nature of the junction between the vein and the membrane was clearly identifiable.The membrane was divided into two layers,the upper epidermis and the lower epidermis.These layers extend around the sandwich structure vein,and combine with the adjacent membrane at a symmetrical location along the vein.Thus,we defined this as an organic junction between the vein and the membranes. | 11 | QSPR modeling of azeotropic temperatures and compositions for binary azeotropes containing lower alcohols using a genetic function approximation显示文摘Binary azeotropes, which contain two chemicals with a relative volatility of 1, are very common in the chemical industry. Understanding azeotropes is essential for effectively separating binary azeotropes containing lower alcohols. Experimental techniques and ab initio approaches can produce accurate results;however, these two processes are time consuming and labor intensive. Although thermodynamic equations such as UNIFAC are widely used, experimental values are required, and it is difficult to choose the best groups to represent a complex system. Because of their high efficiency and fast calculation speed, quantitative structure–property relationship(QSPR) tools were used in this work to predict the azeotropic temperatures and compositions of binary azeotropes containing lower alcohols. The QSPR models for 64 binary azeotropes based on centroid approximation and weighted-contribution-factor approximation were established using the genetic function approximation(GFA) procedure in Materials Studio software, and a leave-one-out cross-validation procedure was conducted.External tests of an additional 16 azeotropes were also investigated, and high determination coefficient values were obtained. | 16 | Ameliorative effects of potassium on drought-induced decreases in fiber length of cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.) are associated with osmolyte dynamics during fiber development显示文摘Fiber length of cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)decreases under drought stress,potassium(K)could diminish the decreased caused by drought,but the mechanism associated with this alleviation effect is not clear.We evaluated the effect of K on fiber elongation using two cotton cultivars,Simian 3 and Siza 3,grown in well-watered and drought-stressed conditions.Potassium fertilizer(K2O)was applied 0,150,or 300 kg ha?1 in each growing condition.Drought stress reduced the final fiber length due to a decline in the maximum rate of rapid elongation(Vmax,mmday?1).The application of K alleviated the droughtinduced fiber length reduction by increasing Vmax.At 10 and 15 days post-anthesis(DPA),drought significantly reduced osmotic potential(OP)and increased K+and malate contents at all K rates,relative to well-watered conditions,which was associated with increased activities of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase(PEPC),V-ATPase,PPase,and PM H+-ATPase in cotton fiber.However,the relative contribution of K+and malate to OP declined under drought in comparison with well-watered condition.Compared with control without K,K application decreased OP and increased the accumulation of osmolytes(K+,malate and soluble sugar)as well as the activities of related enzymes in fiber irrespective of water treatments.Moreover,K application increased osmotic adjustment during drought,and improved the contribution of K+and malate to OP,especially under drought stress.This study showed that drought decreased fiber length by reducing Vmax,and K application ameliorates the decline in fiber elongation due to drought by enhancing osmolytes accumulation and their contribution to OP in fiber cells. | Wenqing Zhao Haoran Dong Rizwan Zahoor Zhiguo Zhou John L.Snider Yinglong Chen Kadambot H.M.Siddique Youhua Wang | 2019 | The Crop Journal2019,7,5: | 4 |

| 18 | Simulation and Experiment Research on the Proportional Pressure Control of Water-assisted Injection Molding显示文摘Water-assisted injection molding(WAIM),a newly developed fluid-assisted injection molding technology has drawn more and more attentions for the energy saving,short cooling circle time and high quality of products.Existing research for the process of WAIM has shown that the pressure control of the injecting water is mostly important for the WAIM.However,the proportional pressure control for the WAIM system is quite complex due to the existence of nonlinearities in the water hydraulic system.In order to achieve better pressure control performance of the injecting water to meet the requirements of the WAIM,the proportional pressure control of the WAIM system is investigated both numerically and experimentally.A newly designed water hydraulic system for WAIM is first modeled in AMEsim environment,the load characteristics and the nonlinearities of water hydraulic system are both considered,then the main factors affecting the injecting pressure and load flow rate are extensively studied.Meanwhile,an open-loop model-based compensation control strategy is employed to regulate the water injection pressure and a feedback proportional integrator controller is further adopted to achieve better control performance.In order to verify the AMEsim simulation results WAIM experiment for particular Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene(ABS) parts is implemented and the measured experimental data including injecting pressure and flow rate results are compared with the simulation.The good coincidence between experiment and simulation shows that the AMEsim model is accurate,and the tracking performance of the load pressure indicates that the proposed control strategy is effective for the proportional pressure control of the nonlinear WAIM system.The proposed proportional pressure control strategy and the conclusions drawn from simulation and experiment contribute to the application of water hydraulic proportional control and WAIM technology. | ZHOU Hua CHEN Yinglong ZHANG Zengmeng YANG Huayong | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,3: | 3 |
| 19 | OPERATIONAL TROPICAL CYCLONE FORECAST VERIFICATION PRACTICE IN THE WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC REGION显示文摘This paper summarizes results of a survey of the operational status of tropical cyclone(TC) forecast verifi-cation in the western North Pacific region, covering the Members of the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee, RSMC Tokyo-Typhoon Center, and JTWC. Results of the survey indicate that significant efforts have been focused on the verification of TC forecast guidance by operational forecast agencies in the region, either individually or through international cooperation. A variety of TC forecast verification products are available to the forecasters in either real time or in post-season through multiple means, with the main focus on the deterministic track and intensity forecasts. Only a few verification products are available for probabilistic forecasts. Verification of TC precipitation and high wind forecasts are also lacking sufficient attention in the region. | 20 | Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the rhizosphere soil of poisonous plants depressed the growth of pasture grasses in the Tibetan Plateau Alpine meadow显示文摘In order to explore the influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi in the rhizosphere of poisonous plants on the neighboring pasture grasses in the Tibetan Plateau Alpine meadow ecosystem,rhizosphere soils were collected from eight different poisonous plants in degraded grasslands and one from pasture grass in non-degraded grasslands(CK).The collected soils were used as inocula to assess the influence of indigenous AM fungi on the growth of two typical pasture grass species,Elymus nutans and Poa pratensis,in a bioassay experiment.Five growth parameters and two AM parameters were determined.The mycorrhizal responsiveness and the importance value were calculated.Significant differences between the eight poisonous plants and CK were observed.Compared to CK,rhizosphere soil from the eight poisonous plants had lower AM fungal spore densities.The growth of E.nutans and P.pratensis seedlings was depressed with the inoculation from poisonous plants rhizosphere soil.This study demonstrated that the presence of poisonous plants with grassland degradation altered inherent AM fungal community abundance,and could exert inhibition effects on the growth of pasture grasses.It may attribute to discover the important role of rhizosphere soil of different poisonous plants to AM fungal community on the Alpine meadow. | Xiaojuan Wang Qiang Wang Liang Jin Li Sun Qian Wang Liang Zhang Yinglong Chen | 2019 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2019,5,1: | 3 |
