1Further Information of the Associated Li Deposits in the No.6 Coal Seam at Jungar Coalfield, Inner Mongolia, Northern China显示文摘Total 138 coal samples and 14 parting samples were taken from the No. 6 Seam of the Jungar Coalfield, Inner Mongolia. These samples were analysed by optical microscopy, sequential chemical extraction procedure (SCEP), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscope in conjunction with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer (SEM-EDX) analysis. The results indicate that the Li contents have reached the industrial grade of the coal associated Li deposit, and the total Li reserves have reached 2406600 tons, that is, 5157000 tons Li2O in the No. 6 seam in the Jungar Coalfield. The sequential chemical extraction procedure results suggest that the Li concentration is mainly related to inorganic matter. The minerals in the coals consist of kaolinite, boehmite, chlorite-group mineral, quartz, calcite, pyrite, siderite and amorphous clay material. Some Li could be absorbed by clay minerals in the Li-bearing coal seam. The chlorite phase?could be?most likely the host for a part of Li. 2Pollution of organic compounds and heavy metals in a coal gangue dump of the Gequan Coal Mine, China显示文摘Samples around a coal gangue dump of the Gequan Coal Mine were collected in April 2009. GC (gas chromatography) and GC/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) were employed to analyze the composition of organic matter in the samples. ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) was used to determine the concentrations of heavy metals. The contents of organic extracts are within the range of 140-750 mg/kg. Alkand aro-ratios are relatively high. Compared to those of the background sample (GQ13 ), the contents of saturated hydrocarbon compounds in all the samples are relatively high. The contents of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are relatively high with the distance getting closer to the coal gangue dump. These indicate that organic matter in the samples is from coal particles of the coal gangue dump. 3Toxicities and risk assessment of heavy metals in sediments of Taihu Lake, China, based on sediment quality guidelines显示文摘The occurrence, toxicities, and ecological risks of five heavy metals(Pb, Cu, Cd, Zn and Ni) in the sediment of Taihu Lake were investigated in this study. To evaluate the toxicities caused by the heavy metals, the toxicities induced by organic contaminants and ammonia in the sediments were screened out with activated carbon and zeolite. The toxicities of heavy metals in sediments were tested with benthic invertebrates(tubificid and chironomid).The correlations between toxicity of sediment and the sediment quality guidelines(SQGs)derived previously were evaluated. There were significant correlations(p < 0.0001) between the observed toxicities and the total risk quotients of the heavy metals based on SQGs,indicating that threshold effect level(TEL) and probable effect level(PEL) were reliable to predict the toxicities of heavy metals in the sediments of Taihu Lake. By contrast, the method based on acid volatile sulfides(AVS) and simultaneously extracted metals(SEM),such as ∑SEM/AVS and ∑SEM-AVS, did not show correlations with the toxicities. Moreover,the predictive ability of SQGs was confirmed by a total predicting accuracy of 77%. Ecological risk assessment based on TELs and PELs showed that the contaminations of Pb, Cu, Cd and Zn in the sediments of Taihu Lake were at relatively low or medium levels. 4Anomalous Concentrations of Rare Metal Elements, Rare-scattered(Dispersed) Elements and Rare Earth Elements in the Coal from Iqe Coalfield, Qinghai Province, China显示文摘Total of 23 bench samples were taken from the No. 7 Coal of Iqe Coalfield, Qinghai Province, China, following Chinese Standard Method GB/T 482-2008(2008). These samples were analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICPMS) and X-ray fluorescence(XRF). The results indicate that the No. 7 Coal belongs to a low rank(Ro,ran =0.659%) and high-ash coal(40.54%). Compared to common Chinese and world low-rank coals, the Iqe coal contains anomalous concentrations of rare metal elements, rare-scattered(dispersed) elements and rare earth elements. The highest contents of Rb, Cs, Ga and REY reach to 180, 26, 37, and 397 ppm, respectively. Their average contents of these elements are 10.9, 15, 4.8 and 3.5 times higher than those of world coals, respectively. Minerals in the coal include kaolinite, quartz, muscovite, siderite, and traces of rutile, and brookite. Kaolinite could be main host minerals of Rb, Cs, Ga and REY. The anomalous rare element Rb and Cs accumulation in the Iqe coal is related to both organic and inorganic matter. 5Land Use Allocation Based on Interval Multi-objective Linear Programming Model: A Case Study of Pi County in Sichuan Province显示文摘Adjusting and optimizing land use structure is one of the essential approaches to solve the conflict between land supply and demand. In this study,an uncertain interval multi-objective linear programming model was established and applied to analyzing the suitability of land use structure in Pi County of Sichuan Province. An adjustment scheme for optimizing land use structure was proposed on the basis of development planning drawn up by the local government. The results are summarized as follows: 1) the optimal adjustment scope for cropland area ranges from 27 976.75 ha to 31 029.08 ha,and the current area is less than the lower limit of the scope; 2) the optimal adjustment scope for garden land area ranges from 4 736.49 ha to 12 967.11 ha,and the current area is less than the lower limit; 3) the optimal adjustment scope for construction land ranges from 7 761.95 ha to 10 393.18 ha,and the current area is greater than the upper limit; 4) the optimal adjustment scope for industry and mining land ranges from 557.29 ha to 693.54 ha,and the current area exceeds the upper limit; and 5) the areas of forest land,grassland and other agricultural land are within the optimal adjustment scope. 6Genetic factors in intervertebral disc degeneration显示文摘Low back pain(LBP)is a major cause of disability and imposes huge economic burdens on human society worldwide.Among many factors responsible for LBP,intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD)is the most common disorder and is a target for intervention.The etiology of IDD is complex and its mechanism is still not completely understood.Many factors such as aging,spine deformities and diseases,spine injuries,and genetic factors are involved in the pathogenesis of IDD.In this review,we will focus on the recent advances in studies on the most promising and extensively examined genetic factors associated with IDD in humans.A number of genetic defects have been correlated with structural and functional changes within the intervertebral disc(IVD),which may compromise the disc’s mechanical properties and metabolic activities.These genetic and proteomic studies have begun to shed light on the molecular basis of IDD,suggesting that genetic factors are important contributors to the onset and progression of IDD.By continuing to improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of IDD,specific early diagnosis and more effective treatments for this disabling disease will be possible in the future.Yi Feng Brian Egan Jinxi Wang 2016Genes & Diseases2016,3,3:10
7Novel SLA class I alleles of Chinese pig strains and their significance in xenotransplantation显示文摘To lay background for studying rejection mechanisms in xenotransplantation and developing the strategies for intervention, class I genes of swine leukocyte antigens (SLA) of three Chinese pig strains Bm, Gz and Yn were cloned and sequenced. The eDNA of the class I loci P1 and P14 were amplified by RT-PCR and subjected to insert into sequencing vectors. All six allelic sequences we examined, each two for one Chinese strain, are not identical to those reported, which allows these novel sequences receiving their accession numbers AY102467- AY102472 from GenBank. This study further reveals that the homologies of MHC class I genes in their primary structures and the deduced amino acids between Chinese pigs (SLA) and human (HLA-A*0201) are better than those between pigs and mice (H-2Db/H-2Kb). The comparison also indicates that the amino acid residues critical for recognition by human KIRs are altered in the swine class I molecules. The amino acids responsible for binding human CD8 coreceptor are largely conserved although there are two critical residues substituted. A functional test indicated that the human T cells specific for the prokaryotically expressed SLA P1protein could respond quite well in vitro to the class I-positive swine chondrocytes and PBMCs in presence of human APCs. 8Soil Microbial Population Dynamics along a Chronosequence of Moist Evergreen Broad-leaved Forest Succession in Southwestern China显示文摘Little is known about whether soil microbial population dynamics are correlated with forest succession.To test the hypotheses that(1) soil microbial composition changes over successional stages,and(2) soil microbial diversity is positively correlated with plant species diversity,we determined the soil microbial populations,community composition,and microflora diversity in evergreen broad-leaved forests along a chronosequence of vegetation succession from 5 to 300 years in southwestern China.The soil microbial community was mainly composed of bacteria(87.1-98.7% of the total microorganisms and 10 genera identified),fungi(0.3-4.0%,7 genera),and actinomycetes(2.1-9.1%,8 species and 1 genus).There were significant differences in soil microbial populations among different successional stages and within the four seasons.The seasonal variations of the soil microbial community may be associated with the seasonal changes in environmental conditions.The changes in soil microbial diversity(Shannon-Wiener index) with successional time followed one-humped,convex curves peaked at-100 years since restoration,which is identical with the trends of the aboveground plant diversity.Higher plant diversity resulting in enhanced nutrient flow and root exudation may contribute to positive relationships between the soil microbial diversity and plant diversity.Hence,decreases in soil microbial diversity in the late-successional stages appear to be related to the net loss in species richness that occurs after 100 years since restoration.Our findings confirm the intermediate disturbance hypothesis that suggests diversity peaks at midsuccessional stages.ZHU Wanze CAI Xiaohu LIU Xingliang WANG Jinxi CHENG Song ZHANG Xiuyan LI Dengyu LI Maihe 2010Journal of Mountain Science2010,7,4:8
9Whole genome sequencing of 10K patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack: design, methods and baseline patient characteristics显示文摘Background and purpose Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in China,but its underlying risk genes and pathways are far from being comprehensively understood.We here describe the design and methods of whole genome sequencing(WGS)for 10914 patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III).Methods Baseline clinical characteristics of the included patients in this study were reported.DNA was extracted from white blood cells of participants.Libraries are constructed using qualified DNA,and WGS is conducted on BGISEQ-500 platform.The average depth is intended to be greater than 30×for each subject.Afterwards,Sentieon software is applied to process the sequencing data under the Genome Analysis Toolkit best practice guidance to call genotypes of single nucleotide variants(SNVs)and insertion-deletions.For each included subject,21 fingerprint SNVs are genotyped by MassARRAY assays to verify that DNA sample and sequencing data originate from the same individual.The copy number variations and structural variations are also called for each patient.All of the genetic variants are annotated and predicted by bioinformatics software or by reviewing public databases.Results The average age of the included 10914 patients was 62.2±11.3 years,and 31.4%patients were women.Most of the baseline clinical characteristics of the 10914 and the excluded patients were balanced.Conclusions The WGS data together with abundant clinical and imaging data of CNSR-III could provide opportunity to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and discover novel therapeutic targets for stroke.Si Cheng Zhe Xu Yang Liu Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Yilong Wang Xia Meng Anxin Wang Xinying Huang Zhimin Wang Guohua Chen Songdi Wu Zhengchang Jia Yongming Chen Xuerong Qiu Jun Wu Binbin Song Weizhong Ji Zhongping An Wenjun Xue Lili Zhao Yu Geng Hongyan Li Hao Li Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:8

11Exact Solutions for Piezoelectric Materials with an Elliptic Hole or a Crack under Uniform Internal Pressure显示文摘The existing investigations on piezoelectric materials containing an elliptic hole or a crack mainly focus on remote uniform tensile loads.In order to have a better understanding for the fracture behavior of piezoelectric materials under different loading conditions,theoretical and numerical solutions are presented for an elliptic hole or a crack in transversely isotropic piezoelectric materials subjected to uniform internal pressure and remote electro-mechanical loads.On the basis of the complex variable approach,analytical solutions of the elastic and electric fields inside and outside the defect are derived by satisfying permeable electric boundary condition at the surface of the elliptical hole.As an example of PZT-4 ceramics,numerical results of electro-elastic fields inside and outside the crack under various electric boundary conditions and electro-mechanical loads are given,and graphs of the electro-elastic fields in the vicinity of the crack tip are presented.The non-singular term is compared to the asymptotic one in the figures.It is shown that the dielectric constant of the air in the crack has no effect on the electric displacement component perpendicular to the crack,and the stresses in the piezoelectric material depend on the material properties and the mechanical loads on the crack surface and at infinity,but not on the electric loads at infinity.The figures obtained are strikingly similar to the available results.Unlike the existing work,the existence of electric fields inside an elliptic hole or a crack is considered,and the piezoelectric solid is subjected to complicated electro-mechanical loads.LIU Shuhong SHEN Yingming LIU Jinxi 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,4:7
12Low serum albumin levels predict poor outcome in patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack显示文摘Background To examine the relationship of serum albumin with poor functional outcome and mortality in patients with acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)or transient ischaemic attack(TIA),and perform a meta-analysis to summarise the association.Methods We analysed data from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-Ⅲ).Patients were divided into four groups based on serum albumin levels at admission.The outcomes included poor functional outcome(modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score of 3 to 6)and mortality at 3 months and 1 year.Multiple logistic regression models and Cox regression models were used to evaluate the association,respectively.We used a fixed-effect model to calculate the risk ratio for poor functional outcome and a random-effect model for mortality in the meta-analysis.Results A total of 13618 patients were enrolled.During the 3-month follow-up period,compared with 40 to 44.9 g/L group,patients in<35 g/L group had an increased risk of poor functional outcome and mortality(adjusted OR 1.37(95%CI 1.12 to 1.67);adjusted HR 2.13(95%CI 1.41 to 3.23)).The relationship in per 10 g/L decreased serum albumin with prognosis was consistently inversed(adjusted OR 1.17(95%CI 1.01 to 1.35);adjusted HR 1.86(95%CI 1.30 to 2.64)).Also,low serum albumin levels were independently correlated with clinical outcomes at 1 year.In the meta-analysis,the OR for poor functional outcome pooled 3 studies per 1 g/L decrease was 1.03(95%CI 1.02 to 1.05),and the HR for mortality pooled 5 studies was 1.07(95%CI 1.03 to 1.11).Conclusions Low serum albumin levels predict poor functional outcome and mortality in patients with AIS or TIA.Hongyu Zhou Anxin Wang Xia Meng Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Jing Jing Yingting Zuo Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Hao Li Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3:7

15Novel SLA-DR Alleles of Three Chinese Pig Strains and the Related Function in Human T Cell Response显示文摘To elucidate the structures of SLA-DR (swine leukocyte antigen DR) genes of three Chinese pig strains (Gz, Bm and Yn), the SLA-DRA and SLA-DRB cDNA were amplified by RT-PCR and subjected to determine the sequences. The whole structures of SLA-DRA alleles are identical among three strains, consisting of 759 nucleotides including an open reading frame (ORF), and are shared with those reported from NIH minipigs SLA-DRAc and SLA-DRAd. The same length of the ORF-containing SLA-DRB genes of three Chinese pig strains was also identified. They are composed of 801 nucleotides encoding a xenogeneic antigen molecule of 266 amino acid residues. The nucleotide sequences of the SLA-DRB genes, however, are different when compared either among the three strains or with the published data of SLA-DRB sequences, which allowed our novel SLA-DRB alleles receiving their accession numbers AY102479, AY102480 and AY102481 from the GenBank. This study further reveals that the phylogenic homologies of MHC DR or DR-like genes in structures of nucleotides and deduced amino acids between Chinese pigs (SLA) and human (HLA-DRB1*0901) are better than those between pigs and mice (H-2b Eβ). High similarities were also found for DRα-DRβ heterodimers between Chinese pigs and human in terms of amino acids sequences critical for binding with human CD4 coreceptor molecule, which are better than those between SLA-DR and H-2 I-E molecules. 16Characteristics of trace elements of the No.9 coal seam from the Anjialing Mine, Ningwu coalfield, China显示文摘Trace elements of the No. 9 coal seam from Aanjialing mine were measured by ICP–MS. The results indicated that Li, Ga, Cr, Sr, Zr and Pb are significantly enriched in the No. 9 coal seam. The Li and Ga contents in most of the coal seam samples reached an economically valuable level. Most trace elements were enriched near the roof and floor. The data from the Sr/Ba, V/Zn, Th/U, V/Zr and V/Ni ratios reveal that during this period, the peat swamp from this area was formed in swamp water, which was influenced by sea-water or, in an sea-land transition environment, where the ancient water salinity was slightly high. The Eu negative anomaly obviously shows that the rare earth elements are consistent with the terrigenous rocks, so we deduced that the rare earth elements contained in the mineral may mainly come from terrestrial detritus.Wang Jinxi Wang Qi Tian Lei 2015Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2015,34,3:5

19Porous nanostructured ZnCo2O4 derived from MOF-74:High-performance anode materials for lithium ion batteries显示文摘Nanostructured metal oxides derived from metal organic frameworks have been shown to be promising materials for application in high energy density lithium ion batteries. In this work, porous nanostructured ZnCo_2O_4 and Co_3O_4 were synthesized by a facile and cost-effective approach via the calcination of MOF-74 precursors and tested as anode materials for lithium ion batteries. Compared with Co_3O_4, the electrochemical properties of the obtained porous nanostructured ZnCo_2O_4 exhibit higher specific capacity, more excellent cycling stability and better rate capability. It demonstrates a reversible capacity of 1243.2 m Ah/g after 80 cycles at 100 m A/g and an excellent rate performance with high average discharge specific capacities of 1586.8, 994.6, 759.6 and 509.2 m Ah/g at 200, 400, 600 and 800 m A/g, respectively.The satisfactory electrochemical performances suggest that this porous nanostructured ZnCo_2O_4 is potentially promising for application as an efficient anode material for lithium ion batteries.Mengjuan Du Dan He Yongbing Lou Jinxi Chen 2017Journal of Energy Chemistry2017,26,4:4
20Incidence and prevalence of moyamoya disease in urban China: a nationwide retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background and objective Moyamoya disease(MMD)is an increasingly recognised cause of stroke,mainly described in East Asia.China is the largest nation in Asia,but few studies reported the epidemiology of MMD,especially at a national level.We aimed to estimate the incidence and prevalence of MMD in China.Methods We performed a population-based study using data from the national databases of Urban Basic Medical Insurance between 2013 and 2016,covering approximately 0.50 billion individuals.MMD cases were identified by diagnostic code(International Classification of Diseases,10th Revision I67.5)or related diagnostic text.Results A total of 1987 MMD patients(mean age 44.45±14.30 years,female-to male ratio 1.12)were identified,representing a national crude incidence of 0.59(95%CI:0.49 to 0.68)and a prevalence of 1.01(95%CI:0.81 to 1.21)per 100000 person-years in 2016.Rates were higher in females than in males for the incidence(0.66 vs 0.52)and prevalence(1.05 vs 0.90).And the age-specific rates showed a bimodal distribution,with the highest peak in middle-aged group and the second peak in child group.Conclusions Our results confirm that MMD is relatively common in East Asians,but the rates in China were lower than those in other East Asian countries such as Japan and Korea.The unique epidemiological features,including a relatively weak female predominance and a shift in the highest peak of incidence from children to adults,revealed new sight into MMD.Further research is expected to explore the potential pathogenesis of MMD.Yixin Sun Guoyu Zhou Jingnan Feng Lu Chen Guozhen Liu Jinxi Wang Qingliang Wang Junyou Yu Xiwang Yang Zheng Yang Pei Gao Shengfeng Wang Siyan Zhan 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,4:4
