| 3 | Observation and hydrodynamic analysis of fast-start of yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)显示文摘The kinematics and hydrodynamics of the escape response of yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) is investigated. It is observed from digital high-speed camera that all the escape response of yellow catfish is a C-type fast-start, which is characterized by the C-shape of the fish body at the end of the first contraction of the lateral musculature. Based on the analysis of the mass center movement and the performance of the caudal fin, the fast-start process can be divided into two stages: in stage one the fish body rotates rapidly around its mass center and in stage two the fish begins moving straightly. Theoretically, the Weihs’ model is employed to obtain the forces, moments and turning angular accelerations acting on the fish during the escape response. The results are in good agreement with the experimental observation. Furthermore, muscle strain at different locations along the body is calculated. | 4 | Effect of tip geometry and tip clearance on aerodynamic performance of a linear compressor cascade显示文摘The tip leakage flow between a blade and a casing wall has a strong impact on compressor pressure rise capability, efficiency, and stability. Consequently, there is a strong motivation to look for means to minimize its impact on performance. This paper presents the potential of passive tip leakage flow control to increase the aerodynamic performance of highly loaded compressor blades. Experimental investigations on a linear compressor cascade equipped with blade winglets mounted to the blade tips have been carried out. Results for a variation of the tip clearance and the winglet geometry are presented. Current results indicate that the use of proper tip winglets in a compressor cascade can positively affect the local aerodynamic field by weakening the tip leakage vortex. Results also show that the suction-side winglets are aerodynamically superior to the pressure-side or combined winglets. | 7 | Numeration and type synthesis of 3-DOF orthogonal translational parallel manipulators显示文摘Low-degree-of-freedom (Low-DOF) parallel manipulators (PMs) have drawn extensive interests, particularly in type synthesis in which two main formal approaches were established by using the reciprocal screw system theory and Lie group theory. This paper aims at numeration and type synthesis of orthogonal translational parallel manipulators (OTPMs) by resorting to an integration of the group- based method and graphical representation of the topology. For this purpose, the concept of Cartesian DOF-characteristic matrix, orig- inated from displacement subgroup and displacement submanifold, is proposed. | 9 | A unified approach to type synthesis of both rigid and flexure parallel mechanisms显示文摘Type synthesis of both rigid and compliant parallel mechanisms has become a hot issue in the field of mechanisms and robotics research in recent years. A unified approach to type synthesis of the two classes of mechanisms, however, has not been referred and investigated up to date. Based on the state-of-art analysis for several major type synthesis approaches related to rigid and compliant mechanisms, respectively, it proves feasible to establish a unified methodology for type synthesis of these two classes of mechanisms. That is a synthesis philosophy in terms of the hierarchy mapping between mathematic, physical, and mechanical building blocks in the framework of screw theory, as addressed in this paper. The key point of the proposed method lies in establishing the mapping among three different building blocks (i.e. geometric building block, kinematic or constraint building block, and mechanical building block). As a result, it makes the whole type synthesis process simple and visible. By using the proposed method, two examples are taken to verify the effectiveness for the type synthesis of both rigid and flexure mechanisms. | 10 | Numerical Simulation and Experimental Study of the Submarine's Cold Wake Temperature Character显示文摘The temperature difference of the submarine's wake on the sea surface is the base for the IR detection. In this paper, the temperature difference on the sea surface caused by the submarine's propellers and the submarine's hull is studied by solving the three dimensional N-S equations. The results show that under the condition of sea temperature surroundings of minus gradient, such as in summer the upper water's temperature is higher than the lower water, it is cold wake on the sea surface and hot wake on the submarine's plane. The temperature difference between the wake and the water around in the wake's initial part becomes more and more obvious as the wake's distance gets longer. Through the IR camera, the submarine's propeller wake is studied under the same temperature status. | 11 | Novel Annulus-shaped Flexure Pivot in Rotation Application and Dimensionless Design显示文摘Large-deflection flexure pivot is widely used in high precision rotation application, but there are less flexure configurations and simple and convenient design methods. This paper presents a novel large-deflection curved-compliant annulus-shaped flexure pivot composed of six curved beam flexure elements. It can offer more than 10°angular stroke theoretically. Firstly, main-motion pseudo-rigid-body method is introduced to establish the flexure pivot model. Although pseudo-rigid-body method can be used to analyze the large-deformation flexure pivot performance, the method is definitely a laborious and difficult task for designing this novel flexure pivot. In order to simply the designing process, dimension-design graphs based on the parametric models and finite element analysis is presented. Using the dimension-design method as a tool, the designers can determine the optimal geometry rapidly, based on the stiffness and rotation demands of an annulus-shaped flexure pivot. Finally, dimension-design graph examples are given whose primary design aims to achieve a rotation stroke of annulus-shaped flexure pivot. The finite element analysis results show that the relative designing error between anticipative rotation stroke and graph design result is less than 4%. The dimensionless method used in designing annulus-shaped flexure pivot can reduce design process in both time and complexity. | 13 | Intensive phototherapy vs.exchange transfusion for the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia:a multicenter retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Intensive phototherapy(IPT)and exchange transfusion(ET)are the main treatments for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.However,there is no reliable evidence on determining the thresholds for these treatments.This multicenter study compared the effectiveness and complications of IPT and ET in the treatment of extreme hyperbilirubinemia.Methods:This retrospective cohort study was conducted in seven centers from January 2015 to January 2018.Patients with extreme hyperbilirubinemia that met the criteria of ET were included.Patients were divided into three subgroups(low-,medium-,and high-risk)according to gestational week and risk factors.Propensity score matching(PSM)was performed to balance the data before treatment.Study outcomes included the development of bilirubin encephalopathy,duration of hospitalization,expenses,and complications.Mortality,auditory complications,seizures,enamel dysplasia,ocular motility disorders,athetosis,motor,and language development were evaluated during follow-up at age of 3 years.Results:A total of 1164 patients were included in this study.After PSM,296 patients in the IPT only group and 296 patients in the IPT plus ET group were further divided into the low-,medium-,and high-risk subgroups with 188,364,and 40 matched patients,respectively.No significant differences were found between the IPT only and IPT plus ET groups in terms of morbidity,complications,and sequelae.Hospitalization duration and expenses were lower in the low-and medium-risk subgroups in the IPT only group.Conclusions:In this study,our results suggest that IPT is a safe and effective treatment for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.The indication of ET for patients with hyperbilirubinemia could be stricter.However,it is necessary to have a contingency plan for emergency ET as soon as IPT is commenced especially for infants with risk factors.If IPT can be guaranteed and proved to be therapeutic,ET should be avoided as much as possible. | Meng Zhang Yang He Jun Tang Wenbin Dong Yong Zhang Benjin Zhang Hong Wan Quanmin Deng Lirong Guan Bin Xia Zhong Chen Min Ge Jing Zhao Wenxing Li Jingjun Pei Yi Qu Dezhi Mu | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,5: | 7 |

| 15 | Effect of Yupingfeng granules on the skin barrier in atopic dermatitis mice models显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate effect of Yupingfeng granules, prepared with Chinese Medicines, on the wound healing and on the expression of aquaporin3(AQP3) and the skin barrier in the animal models of atopic dermatitis(AD).METHODS: Acute skin lesions of AD models were prepared using 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzo(DNCB) in mice and animals were treated with either Yupingfeng granules or placebo for two weeks. Skin wound healing outcome was assessed by measuring skin thickness, weight(quality) of the skin, and trans-epidermal water loss(TEWL). Expression of AQP3 mRNA and protein was assessed by reverse transcriotion polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and immunoblotting, respectively.RESULTS: Yupingfeng granule treatment resulted in significant acceleration of wound healing with63.64% efficiency, which was significantly higher than that of placebo granule treatment(31.82%,P < 0.01 by Wilcoxon Rank-sum test). Skin thickness, weight of the wounded skin, and TEWL were significantly higher in the AD models compared to that of normal animals. Treatment with Yupingfeng granules resulted in significant decrease in skin thickness [(937 ± 31) vs(360 ± 21) μm, P < 0.01],weight of the wounded skin [(42 ± 4) vs(24 ± 5)mg, P < 0.01], and TEWL [(30 ± 4) vs(13 ± 4) g·h^(-1)·m-2, P < 0.01]. These resonators are fabricated from a PPLN film with a 16 μm poling period on insulator using conventional microfabrication techniques.The quality factor of the PPLN microdisk resonators with a 40-μm radius and a 700-nm thickness is 6.7×10~5. Second harmonic generation(SHG) with an efficiency of 2.2×10^(-6) mW(-1) is demonstrated in the fabricated PPLN microdisks. | 19 | Experimental Study of Waste Tire Rubber,Wood-Plastic Particles and Shale Ceramsite on the Performance of Self-Compacting Concrete显示文摘In recent decades,the utilization of waste tires,plastic and artificial shale ceramsite as alternative fine aggregate to make self-compacting concrete(SCC)has been recognized as an eco-friendly and sustainable method to manufacture renewable construction materials.In this study,three kinds of recycled aggregates:recycled tire rubber particles,wood-plastic particles,artificial shale ceramsite were used to replace the sand by different volume(5%,10%,20%and 30%),and their effects on the fresh and hardened properties of SCC were investigated.The slump flow and V-funnel tests were conducted to evaluate the fresh properties of modified-SCC mixtures.The hardened properties include 3,7 and 28-day compressive strengths,axial compressive strength,static elastic modulus,and compressive stress-strain behavior at 28 days.The test results showed that the incorporation of these three kinds of alternative aggregates had a negative impact on the fresh properties of SCC.Besides,the 28-day compressive strength and axial compressive strength decreased with the increase of rubber and wood-plastic particles content.In this experiment,all the three kinds of recycled aggregates can improve the ductility and deformability of SCC,and the most excellent performance comes from SCC with recycled rubber particles. | Lei Tian Liuchao Qiu Jingjun Li Yongsen Yang | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,2: | 5 |
| 20 | Effects of End-Bend and Curved Blades on the Flow Field and Loss of a Compressor Linear Cascade in the Design Condition显示文摘Curved blade and end-bend blade are considered as effective passive control methods for improving the aerodynamic performance of a compressor cascade,and their applicability also needs to be further studied.A highly-loaded compressor linear cascade in the design condition was taken as the research objective in this paper.Numerical simulation was used to study the positive and negative effects of these methods on the flow loss of the cascade by redistributing the vortex structures.Results show that:the curved blade could reduce the flow loss to 2.55%,while the end-bend blade and the end-bend+curved blade increase it to 10.58%and 2.19%,respectively.The positive effect of the curved blade weakens the strength and scale of Concentrated Shedding Vortex(CSV),which accounts for 59.2%of the total flow loss.The negative effect of the end-bend blade exacerbates the low-energy fluid clusters from the end wall and wake into CSV.Finally,the end-bend+curved blade can take their own strengths,but it enhances the twisting motion of Passage Vortex(PV)and CSV,which makes it fail to reduce the flow loss.Therefore,the positive and negative effects of these methods on the flow loss of a compressor cascade are much clearer.In addition,we also predict the potential danger of the end-bend blade in the negative incidence conditions and provides some suggestion for future study. | KAN Xiaoxu WU Wanyang YANG Ling ZHONG Jingjun | 2019 | Journal of Thermal Science2019,28,4: | 4 |
