| 1 | Entransy dissipation/loss-based optimization of two-stage organic Rankine cycle(TSORC)with R245fa for geothermal power generation显示文摘Based on organic Rankine cycle(ORC), the two-stage evaporation strategy is adopted to replace the single-stage evaporation to improve the system performance. In order to evaluate the temperature matching of the two-stage evaporation, a theoretical optimization model was established to optimize the two stage organic Rankine cycle(TSORC) based on the entransy theory and thermodynamics, with the ratio of the entransy dissipation rate of the TSORC to that of the ORC as the objective function. This paper aims to illuminate the improving degree of the system performance of the TSORC. The results show that the TSORC enhances the average evaporating temperature, thereby reducing the entransy dissipation rate in the evaporator and the total entransy dissipation rate. The maximal net power output is proportional to the entransy loss rate and inversely proportional to the entransy dissipation rate. However, compared with the ORC, the TSORC can output more power but requires a higher total thermal conductance. Moreover, there exists an optimal intermediate geothermal water temperature(IGWT) to maximize the net power output of the TSORC. | 2 | Dispersion stability of thermal nanofluids显示文摘Thermal nanofluids, the engineered fluids with dispersed functional nanoparticles, have exhibited extraordinary thermophysical properties and added functionalities, and thus have enabled a broad range of important applications. The poor dispersion stability of thermal nanofluids, however, has been considered as a longexisting issue that limits their further development and practical application. This review overviews the recent efforts and progresses in improving the dispersion stability of thermal nanofluids such as mechanistic understanding of dispersion behavior of nanofluids, examples of both water-based and oil-based nanofluids,strategies to stabilize nanofluids, and characterization techniques for dispersion behavior of nanofluids. | 3 | A high activity of Ti/SnO_2-Sb electrode in the electrochemicaldegradation of 2,4-dichlorophenol in aqueous solution显示文摘Electrochemicaldegradation of2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) in aqueous solutionwas investigated over Ti/SnO2-Sb anode. The factors influencing thedegradation rate, such as applied currentdensity (2-40 mA/cm2 ), pH (3-11) and initial concentration (5-200 mg/L)were evaluated. Thedegradation of2,4-DCP followed apparent pseudo first-order kinetics. Thedegradation ratio on Ti/SnO2 -Sb anode attained > 99.9% after 20 min of electrolysis at initial 5-200 mg/L concentrations at a constant currentdensity of 30 mA/cm2 with a 10 mmol/L sodium sulphate (Na2SO4 ) supporting electrolyte solution. The results showed that 2,4-DCP (100 mg/L)degradation and total organic carbon (TOC) removal ratio achieved 99.9% and 92.8%, respectively, at the optimal conditions after 30 min electrolysis. Under this condition, thedegradation rate constant (k) and thedegradation half-life (t1/2 )were 0.21 min1 and (2.8 ± 0.2) min, respectively. Mainly carboxylic acids (propanoic acid, maleic acid, propanedioic acid, acetic acid and oxalic acid) weredetected as intermediates. The energy efficiencies for2,4-DCPdegradation (5-200 mg/L)with Ti/SnO2-Sb anode ranged from 0.672 to 1.602 g/kWh. | 5 | Effectiveness of tonifying-kidney and regulating-liver therapy on diminished ovarian reserve: a systematic review and Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of the Traditional Chinese Medicine tonifying-kidney and regulating-liver therapy on diminished ovarian reserve(DOR).METHODS: The literature was comprehensively searched up to August 2019 using four Chinese and three English electronic databases to extract randomized clinical trials(RCTs) comparing Traditional Chinese Medicine tonifying-kidney and regulating-liver prescriptions(combined with hormone therapy or not) with Western Medicine. Data quality evaluation was conducted using the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Meta-analysis was conducted using Revman 5.3 software with effect estimates presented as mean difference(MD), risk ratio(RR), and95% confidence interval(CI).RESULTS: A total of nine RCTs with 512 participants were extracted and eligible for Meta-analysis.There were no significant differences between Chinese medicine and Western Medicine on basal serum follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) level(MD0.11, 95% CI-0.52 to 0.74, 392 participants, seven trials), anti-Müllerian hormone level(MD 0.48, 95%CI-0.62 to 1.58, 95 participants, two trials), and the FSH and luteinizing hormone ratio(MD 0.01,95% CI-0.95 to 0.96, 115 participants, two trials).Chinese medicine was more effective at improving Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom scores(TCMSS)(MD-2.39, 95% CI-3.83 to-0.94, 160 participants, three trials), effective rate of TCMSS(RR1.18, 95% CI 1.02 to 1.36, 160 participants, three trials), antral follicle count(AFC)(MD 0.55, 95% CI 0.05 to 1.04, 155 participants, three trials), and FSH levels at 3 months post-treatment(MD-4.77, 95% CI-6.09 to-3.45, 137 participants, two trials).CONCLUSION: Compared with Western Medicine,tonifying-kidney and regulating-liver therapy is more effective at relieving symptoms and improving AFC and FSH at 3 months post-treatment. | Liu Liuqing Liu Yanfeng Yang Ming Xu Guiqin Li Ruiqi Xu Xiuli Pan Xue Liang Jialing | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,3: | 3 |

| 7 | Protective effects of Ginkgo biloba extract on 6-hydroxydopamine-induced apoptosis in PC12 cells显示文摘The present study analyzed the protective effects of Ginkgo biloba extract against 6-hydroxydopamine-induced PC12 cell apoptosis in a model of Parkinson's disease. The results showed that Ginkgo biloba extract had a potent cytoprotective action and inhibited apoptosis of PC12 cells induced by 6-hydroxydopamine. Ginkgo biloba extract decreased the ratio of Bax to Bcl-2 and markedly inhibited the activation of p53 and caspase-3. These experimental findings indicate that Ginkgo biloba extract may significantly reduce the effects of oxidative stress induced by 6-hydroxydopamine in PC12 cells and suppress cell apoptosis. | 20 | Ga-In liquid metal nanoparticles prepared by physical vapor deposition显示文摘Controlled synthesis and appropriate characterization of nanoscale particles of gallium-based liquid metals are critical to fulfilling their broad range of applications in the field of flexible, stretchable, and printable micro-/nanoelectronics. Herein, we report a new way to synthesize surfactant-free gallium-indium nanoparticles with controlled particle size on a variety of substrates through a facile physical vapor deposition method. It was found that with prolonged deposition time the liquid metal nanoparticles gradually grew from near-monodispersed small particles with a diameter of ~25 nm to bimodal distributed particles. A nucleation, growth, ripening and merging process was proposed to explain the observed evolution of particle size. Atomic force microscopy measurement indicates that the fabricated liquid metal nanoparticles demonstrate elastic deformation with a certain range of loads and the scanned particle size is dependent on the applied loads. We further investigated the gradual breaking process of the core-shell structured liquid metal nanoparticles, which was evidenced by multiple kinks on the force-separation curve.
