1Photodynamic therapy vs radiofrequency ablation for Barrett's dysplasia: Efficacy,safety and cost-comparison显示文摘AIM:To compare effectiveness,safety,and cost of photodynamic therapy(PDT)and radiofrequency ablation(RFA)in treatment of Barrett’s dysplasia(BD).METHODS:Consecutive case series of patients undergoing either PDT or RFA treatment at single center by a single investigator were compared.Thirty-three patients with high-grade dysplasia(HGD)had treatment with porfimer sodium photosensitzer and 630 nm laser(130 J/cm),with maximum of 3 treatment sessions.Fifty-three patients with BD(47 with low-grade dysplasia-LGD,6 with HGD)had step-wise circumferential and focal ablation using the HALO system with maximum of 4 treatment sessions.Both groups received proton pump inhibitors twice daily.Endoscopic biopsies were acquired at 2 and 12 mo after enrollment,with 4-quadrant biopsies every 1 cm of the original BE extent.A complete histological resolution response of BD(CR-D)was defined as all biopsies at the last endoscopy session negative for BD.Fisher’s exact test was used to assess differences between the two study groups for primary outcomes.For all outcomes,a two-sided P value of less than 0.05 was considered to indicate statistical significance.RESULTS:Thirty(91%)PDT patients and 39(74%)RFA were men(P=0.05).The mean age was 70.7±12.2 and 65.4±12.7(P=0.10)year and mean length of BE was 5.4±3.2 cm and 5.7±3.2 cm(P=0.53)for PDT and RFA patients,respectively.The CR-D was(18/33)54.5%with PDT vs(47/53)88.7%with RFA(P=0.001).One patient with PDT had an esophageal perforation and was managed with non-surgical measures and no perforation was seen with RFA.PDT was five times more costly than RFA at our institution.The two groups were not randomized and had different BD grading are the limitations of the study.CONCLUSION:In our experience,RFA had higher rate of CR-D without any serious adverse events and was less costly than PDT for endoscopic treatment of BD.Atilla Ertan Irum Zaheer Arlene M Correa Nirav Thosani Shanda H Blackmon 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,41:7
2磁场对金针菇菌丝生长的影响及磁受体和铁离子转运蛋白的鉴定表达显示文摘磁场作为一种无法避免的自然因子,对生物的生长发育有重要影响。然而,目前磁场对大型真菌影响的研究还鲜有报道。本研究采用铷磁铁对金针菇菌丝进行处理,检测金针菇菌丝在不同磁极刺激下的生长和基因表达规律。结果显示:磁场是铷磁铁抑制金针菇菌丝生长的主要原因,且在磁感应强度0.003T以上对菌丝生长的抑制作用较强。通过同源比对获得一个金针菇磁受体和一个铁离子转运蛋白的编码基因,分别命名为ff-magr和ff-fief。定量PCR结果显示ff-magr在N极和S极均出现显著下调表达,N极和S极磁场对ff-fief的表达均无显著影响。结果表明:磁受体蛋白参与了金针菇菌丝受磁场抑制的应答过程,而磁受体不仅仅是通过调控铁的含量来调控菌丝的生长发育。以上结果为合理利用磁场调控真菌生长发育奠定基础,同时也为深入研究磁场对真菌生长发育的分子机理提供参考。宋寒冰 李建 严俊杰 车金超 Irum Mukhtar 傅俊生 谢宝贵 陶永新 2020菌物学报2020,39,6:3

11A Bio-Inspired Global Finite Time Tracking Control of Four-Rotor Test Bench System显示文摘A bio-inspired global finite time control using global fast-terminal sliding mode controller and radial basis function network is presented in this article,to address the attitude tracking control problem of the three degree-of-freedom four-rotor hover system.The proposed controller provides convergence of system states in a predetermined finite time and estimates the unmodeled dynamics of the four-rotor system.Dynamic model of the four-rotor system is derived with Newton’s force equations.The unknown dynamics of four-rotor systems are estimated using Radial basis function.The bio-inspired global fast terminal sliding mode controller is proposed to provide chattering free finite time error convergence and to provide optimal tracking of the attitude angles while being subjected to unknown dynamics.The global stability proof of the designed controller is provided on the basis of Lyapunov stability theorem.The proposed controller is validated by(i)conducting an experiment through implementing it on the laboratory-based hover system,and(ii)through simulations.Performance of the proposed control scheme is also compared with classical and intelligent controllers.The performance comparison exhibits that the designed controller has quick transient response and improved chattering free steady state performance.The proposed bioinspired global fast terminal sliding mode controller offers improved estimation and better tracking performance than the traditional controllers.In addition,the proposed controller is computationally cost effective and can be implanted on multirotor unmanned air vehicles with limited computational processing capabilities.Rooh ul Amin Irum Inayat Li Aijun Shahaboddin Shamshirband Timon Rabczuk 2018Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,12:1

14Genome-wide identification and expression profiling of photosystem II(PsbX)gene family in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)显示文摘Background Photosystem II(PSII)constitutes an intricate assembly of protein pigments,featuring extrinsic and intrinsic polypeptides within the photosynthetic membrane.The low-molecular-weight transmembrane protein PsbX has been identified in PSII,which is associated with the oxygen-evolving complex.The expression of PsbX gene protein is regulated by light.PsbX’s central role involves the regulation of PSII,facilitating the binding of quinone molecules to the Qb(PsbA)site,and it additionally plays a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency of photosynthesis.Despite these insights,a comprehensive understanding of the PsbX gene’s functions has remained elusive.Results In this study,we identified ten PsbX genes in Gossypium hirsutum L.The phylogenetic analysis results showed that 40 genes from nine species were classified into one clade.The resulting sequence logos exhibited substantial conservation across the N and C terminals at multiple sites among all Gossypium species.Furthermore,the ortholo-gous/paralogous,Ka/Ks ratio revealed that cotton PsbX genes subjected to positive as well as purifying selection pressure might lead to limited divergence,which resulted in the whole genome and segmental duplication.The expression patterns of GhPsbX genes exhibited variations across specific tissues,as indicated by the analysis.Moreover,the expression of GhPsbX genes could potentially be regulated in response to salt,intense light,and drought stresses.Therefore,GhPsbX genes may play a significant role in the modulation of photosynthesis under adverse abiotic conditions.Conclusion We examined the structure and function of PsbX gene family very first by using comparative genom-ics and systems biology approaches in cotton.It seems that PsbX gene family plays a vital role during the growth and development of cotton under stress conditions.Collectively,the results of this study provide basic information to unveil the molecular and physiological function of PsbX genes of cotton plants.RAZA Irum PARVEEN Abida AHMAD Adeel HU Daowu PAN Zhaoe ALI Imran DU Xiongming 2024Journal of Cotton Research2024,7,1:0
15比较分析草菇与其他真菌直系同源基因的关系显示文摘担子菌类的食用菌种类多、价值高、产量大,然而其产业的升级发展需要对食用菌生长发育相关生物学问题进行深入解析。目前多种食用菌完成了全基因组测序,然而作为非模式种其与模式丝状真菌间的直系同源基因目前尚缺乏全基因组水平的系统研究,在一定程度上限制了其分子生物学研究的深入。本研究以草菇为参照物种,将其与几种食用菌和模式丝状真菌进行两两直系同源基因分析,并对多物种间不同类型的直系同源基因进行功能富集。结果显示:一对一直系同源基因较多富集于基因复制、转录、翻译、修饰、加工等保守的基本功能类别;非一对一直系同源基因多属于基因家族,且包含了65%的转录因子,功能上富集在碳水化合物、脂质、氨基酸、次生代谢物及外源物质的代谢通路。无直系同源基因则较多富集在与基因重组、修复、信号转导相关的功能类别、特导性转录因子以及未知的预测基因。结果为食用菌分子生物学的深入研究提供有价值的参考。陶永新 车金超 宋寒冰 李自燕 段静怡 Irum Mukhtar 谢宝贵 2019菌物学报2019,38,12:0

17Correlation analysis of stem hardness traits with fiber and yield-related traits in core collections of Gossypium hirsutum显示文摘Background:Stem hardness is one of the major influencing factors for plant architecture in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.).Evaluating hardness phenotypic traits is very important for the selection of elite lines for resistance to lodging in Gossypium hirsutum L.Cotton breeders are interested in using diverse genotypes to enhance fiber quality and high-yield.Few pieces of research for hardness and its relationship with fiber quality and yield were found.This study was designed to find the relationship of stem hardness traits with fiber quality and yield contributing traits of upland cotton.Results:Experiments were carried out to measure the bending,acupuncture,and compression properties of the stem from a collection of upland cotton genotypes,comprising 237 accessions.The results showed that the genotypic difference in stem hardness was highly significant among the genotypes,and the stem hardness traits(BL,BU,AL,AU,CL,and CU)have a positive association with fiber quality traits and yield-related traits.Statistical analyses of the results showed that in descriptive statistics result bending(BL,BU)has a maximum coefficient of variance,but fiber length and fiber strength have less coefficient of variance among the genotypes.Principal component analysis(PCA)trimmed quantitative characters into nine principal components.The first nine principal components(PC)with Eigenvalues>1 explained 86%of the variation among 237 accessions of cotton.Both 2017 and 2018,PCA results indicated that BL,BU,FL,FE,and LI contributed to their variability in PC1,and BU,AU,CU,FD,LP,and FWPB have shown their variability in PC2.Conclusion:We describe here the systematic study of the mechanism involved in the regulation of enhancing fiber quality and yield by stem bending strength,acupuncture,and compression properties of G.hirsutum.RAZA Irum HU Daowu AHMAD Adeel LI Hongge HE Shoupu NAZIR Mian Faisal WANG Xiaoyang JIA Yinhua PAN Zhaoe ZHANG Peng YASIR Muhammad IQBAL Muhammad Shahid GENG Xiaoli WANG Liru PANG Baoyin DU Xiongming 2021Journal of Cotton Research2021,4,1:0
18Impulsive Noise Cancellation in OFDM System Using Low Density Parity Check显示文摘An effective communication application necessitates the cancellation of Impulsive Noise(IN)from Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM),which is widely used for wireless applications due to its higher data rate and greater spectral efficiency.The OFDM system is typically corrupted by Impulsive Noise,which is an unwanted short-duration pulse with random amplitude and duration.Impulsive noise is created by humans and has non-Gaussian characteristics,causing problems in communication systems such as high capacity loss and poor error rate performance.Several techniques have been introduced in the literature to solve this type of problem,but they still have many issues that affect the performance of the presented methods.As a result,developing a new hybridization-based method is critical for accurate method performance.In this paper,we present a hybrid of a state space adaptive filter and an information coding technique for cancelling impulsive noise from OFDM.The proposed method is also compared to Least Mean Square(LMS),Normalized Least Mean Square(NLMS),and Recursive Least Square(RLS)adaptive filters.It has also been tested using the binary phase-shift keyed(BPSK),four quadrature amplitude modulation(QAM),sixteen QAM,and thirty-two QAM modulation techniques.Bit error Rate(BER)simulations are used to evaluate system performance,and improved performance is obtained.Furthermore,the proposed method is more effective than recent methods.Attia Irum Abdul Muiz Fayyaz Sara Ayub Mudassar Raza Majed Alhaisoni Muhammad Attique Khan Abdullah Alqahtani Heebum Kim Byeong-Gwon Kang 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,46,7:0
