| 1 | High-entropy(La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Gd_(0.2))_(2)Ce_(2)O_(7):A potential thermal barrier material with improved thermo-physical properties显示文摘High-entropy oxides(HEOs)are widely researched as potential materials for thermal barrier coatings(TBCs).However,the relatively low thermal expansion coefficient(TEC)of those materials severely restricts their practical application.In order to improve the poor thermal expansion property and further reduce the thermal conductivity,high-entropy(La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Gd_(0.2))_(2)Ce_(2)O_(7) is designed and synthesized in this work.The as-prepared multicomponent material is formed in a simple disordered fluorite structure due to the high-entropy stabilization effect.Notably,it exhibits a much higher TEC of approximately 12.0×10^(−6) K^(−1) compared with those of other high-entropy oxides reported in the field of TBCs.Besides,it presents prominent thermal insulation behavior with a low intrinsic thermal conductivity of 0.92 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) at 1400℃,which can be explained by the existence of high concentration oxygen vacancies and highly disordered arrangement of multicomponent cations in the unique high-entropy configuration.Through high-temperature in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD)measurement,this material shows excellent phase stability up to 1400℃.Benefiting from the solid solution strengthening effect,it shows a higher hardness of 8.72 GPa than the corresponding single component compounds.The superior thermo-physical performance above enables(La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Gd_(0.2))_(2)Ce_(2)O_(7) a promising TBC material. | Yun XUE Xiaoqin ZHAO Yulong AN Yijing WANG Meizhen GAO Huidi ZHOU Jianmin CHEN | 2022 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,4: | 7 |
| 2 | Effect of microstructure evolution of Ti6Al4V alloy on its cavitation erosion and corrosion resistance in artificial seawater显示文摘The investigate about the effect of the microstructure of Ti6Al4V alloy on its cavitation erosion and corrosion properties in marine can provide the key basis for the application.On the basis of as-received Ti6Al4V(TC4)alloy,FC-TC4 and AC-TC4 alloys were prepared by heat treatment with the cooling method of a furnace and atmospheric environment,respectively.Then the microstructure evolutions of three samples were scrutinized and the effect of microstructure on their cavitation erosion and corrosion resistance was explored.The results showed that more recrystallized grains formed as well as its content of α grains and high-angle grain boundaries increased in AC-TC4 alloy.To FC-TC4 alloy,there was obvious grain growth apart from recrystallization.Moreover,many nanotwins of Ti V and Ti Al_(3)were formed separately in FC-TC4 and AC-TC4 alloys due to the dislocation migration during heat treatment.The microstructure evolution led the hardness and elastic modulus of AC-TC4 alloy were the best,followed by FC-TC4 alloy,that of TC4 were the worst.Similarly,passivating ability of AC-TC4 alloy was the best among three samples because of its microstructure.Although cracks extended along the grain boundaries under the action of continual cavitation erosion,the passivation film formed by TiO_(2) and Al_(2)O_(3) would enhance their resistance to further corrosion and cavitation erosion in artificial seawater. | Yijing Wang Enkang Hao Xiaoqin Zhao Yun Xue Yulong An Huidi Zhou | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,5: | 4 |
| 3 | Gadolinium-hyaluronic acid nanoparticles as an efficient and safe magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent for articular cartilage injury detection显示文摘Accurate detection of cartilage injuries is critical for their proper treatment because these injuries lack the selfhealing ability and lead to joint dysfunction.However,the low longitudinal T1 relaxivity(r1)and non-specificity of contrast agents(such as gadolinium(III)-diethylenetriamine-pentaacetic acid(Gd-DTPA))significantly limit the efficiency of clinical magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)applications.To overcome these drawbacks,we integrated hyaluronic acid(HA)with Gd to synthesize a Gd-DTPA-HA composite,which was subsequently freeze-dried to produce nanoparticles(NPs).The resultant Gd-HA NPs demonstrated a greater r1 value(12.51 mM^-1 s^-1)compared with the bulk Gd-DTPA-HA(8.37 mM^-1 s^-1)and clinically used Gd-DTPA(3.88 mM^-1 s^-1).Moreover,the high affinity of HA to the cartilage allowed these NPs to penetrate deeper beyond the cartilage surface.As a result,Gd-HA NPs considerably increased the quality of cartilage and lesion MR images via their intra-articular injection in vivo.Specifically,2 h after NP administration,the signal-to-noise ratio at the injured cartilage site was 2.3 times greater than the value measured before the injection.In addition,Gd-HA NPs exhibited good biosafety properties due to the absence of adverse effects in the blood or on the main organs.It was also showed that Gd NPs were first metabolized by the kidney and liver and then excreted from the body with urine.Thus,Gd-HA NPs can potentially serve as an efficient MRI contrast agent for improved detection of cartilage injuries. | Rong Lu Yuyang Zhang Hongyue Tao Lu Zhou Huidi Li Tianwu Chen Peng Zhang Yao Lu Shuang Chen | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,4: | 3 |
| 4 | Effect of Lamb Age and in vitro Culture System of Oocytes on JIVET Technology显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to investigate the effects of lamb age and in vitro culture system of oocytes on the results of juvenile in vitro embryo transfer( JIVET). [Methods]Ten Dorper × small-tailed Han lambs aged 5 to 10 weeks were induced to superovulate via i. p. injection of pregnant mare's serum gonadotropin( PMSG). The oocytes were matured in basal maturation solution or modified maturation solution,which was prepared by adding 200 μmol/L cysteine to the basal maturation solution. Then,the oocytes were fertilized in fertilization medium I containing 2% estrus sheep serum( ESS) or fertilization medium II containing 3 mg/ml bull serum albumin( BSA). Finally,the number of oocytes,oocyte maturation rate and cleavage rate of the lambs of different ages were determined. [Results]The average number of oocytes recovered per lamb was( 111. 00 ± 16. 97),( 139. 50 ± 28. 99),( 108. 50 ± 17. 68) and( 42. 00 ± 11. 31) for5-,7-,8-and 10-week-old Dorper × small-tailed Han lambs,respectively. The number of oocytes obtained from 5-,7-and 8-week-old lambs was significantly higher than that from 10-week-old lambs( P < 0. 05),but there was no significant difference among 5-,7-and 8-week-old lambs( P > 0. 05). The maturation rate of oocytes cultured in modified maturation solution was 3. 64% higher than that in basal maturation solution. The cleavage rate of oocytes in fertilization medium I was very significantly higher than that in fertilization medium II( P < 0. 01). | 5 | Blockchain Technology Empowers Telecom Network Operation显示文摘Telecom operators are deploying the fifth generation(5G) networks around the world which promises high information transmission rate, wide network coverage, low communication delay, and easy access to a large number of devices. However, during the construction and operation of 5G, telecom operators face many challenges, such as insufficient frequency resources, low efficiency of network management, information opacity, risks of data interoperability, and network privacy vulnerabilities. As 5G is generally deployed in heterogeneous networks with massive ubiquitous devices, it is quite necessary to provide secure and decentralized solutions. Blockchain is a distributed system maintained by multiple parties with inherit features including decentralization,traceability and tamperproof. These features collectively contribute to a new application ecosystem where transactions are secure and trustworthy. Therefore,blockchain is expected to integrate with 5G networks to build safer and more reliable mobile network infrastructures. This paper firstly discusses the merits of blockchain technology and the benefits of integrating it with 5G networks. Then a variety of applications of blockchain technology in telecom network operation are reviewed, including spectrum sharing, international roaming settlement, network operation management, number selection management and supply chain management. | 6 | Characterization of changes in extracellular polymeric substances and heavy metal speciation of waste activated sludge during typical oxidation solubilization processes显示文摘Biopolymer solubilization is considered to be the rate-limiting stage of anaerobic digestion of waste activated sludge(WAS). Oxidation processes have been proven to be effective in disrupting sludge flocs and causing solubilization of the solid biopolymers. In this study,WAS was treated by NaNO2 or H2 O2 oxidation at p H of 2. The changes in extracellular polymeric substances properties and the speciation of heavy metals were investigated. The results revealed that both NaNO2 and H2 O2 treatments were effective in solubilizing organics in WAS, while the conversion of biopolymers in the two treatment processes was different. Free nitrous acid destroyed the gel network structure of EPS, and organic materials were released from the solid phase to the supernatant. Indigenous peroxidase catalyzed H2 O2 to produce hydroxyl radicals which caused significant solubilization of biopolymers, and the protein-like substances were further degraded into micro-molecule polypeptides or amino acids at high dosages of H2 O2. During the oxidation processes, Zn, Cd and Cu, with excellent mobility, tended to migrate to the supernatant, and thus were easy to remove through the liquid–solid separation process. Ni and As showed moderate migration ability, of which the residual fraction tended to transform into reducible and soluble fractions. With poor mobility, Cr and Pb mainly existed in the forms of residual and oxidizable fractions, which were difficult to dissolve and remove from WAS. | 11 | Tidal Asymmetry Changes in a Shallow Mud Estuary by a Restoration Project显示文摘The tidal asymmetry-induced siltation below tidal barriers is a worldwide problem that restricts regional socio-economic and environmental development. The hydrodynamic processes of the small mud estuary also feature a high uncertainty after estuary restoration measures. In this study, a hydrodynamic model based on the MIKE21 is used to quantify the responses of tidal asymmetry to a two-phase restoration project in Shuanglong Estuary, Bohai Bay, China. According to the numerical modeling results, the tidal flat removal in the upper estuary(first-phase restoration) induces the flood asymmetry switching to the ebb asymmetry in unrestored reach but enhances flood asymmetry in widening restored reach. Although the tidal asymmetry reverts to flood-dominated pattern after full restoration over the estuary, the imbalance between flood and ebb velocities is relieved. A possible net sediment transport pattern based on a comparison of dominant asymmetric current and actual sediment transport period shows net sediments in the upper estuary and inlet transport seaward and landward, respectively, in the first-phase restoration, whereas landward net sediment transport occurs in the whole estuary under the second-phase restoration scenario. Given these results, we assume that a switch from the flood-dominated estuary to ebb-dominated estuary can be caused by redesigning the cross-sectional profile. The quantitative comparison of Lagrangian residual currents also implies that a channel–shoal structure rather than a flat bathymetry can promote the mass transport.
