| 1 | Community-based survey of HCV and HIV coinfection in injection drug abusers in Sichuan Province of China显示文摘AIM: To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of HCV/HIV coinfection in injection drug abusers (IDAs) in Lianshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan province, China. METHODS: From November 8, 2002 to November 29, 2002, a community-based survey was conducted to investigate the demographic characteristics, patterns of shared injectors devices and sexual behaviors in IDAs. Blood samples were also collected to test HCV and HIV infection. A total of 379 subjects were recruited in the study through community outreach and peer recruiting methods. RESULTS: Of the 379 IDAs, the HCV prevalence and HIV prevalence were 71.0% and 11.3%, respectively, and HCV/HIV coinfection was 11.3%. HCV infection was found in 100% and 67.3% of HIV-positive and HIV-negative IDAs, respectively. HIV prevalence was 16.0% in HCV positive IDAs while none of the HCV negative IDAs was positive for HIV. Ethnicity, shared needles or syringes and cotton in the past 3 mo and syphilis infection were associated with HCV/HIV coinfection shown by univariate analysis using chi-square test. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that shared needles or syringes in the past 3 mo (Odds ratio=3.121, 95% CI: 1.278-7.617, P<0.05) and syphilis infection (Odds ratio=2.914, 95% CI: 1.327-6.398, P<0.01) were significantly associated with HCV infection. No statistically significant association was found in univariate analysis between sexual behaviors and HCV/HIV coinfection. CONCLUSION: Shared needles and syringes in the past 3 mo and syphilis infection were significantly associated with HCV infection. | 2 | Association of HLA-B Alleles With Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 Infection in the Yi Ethnic Group in Sichuan Province显示文摘Objective To determine the distribution of HLA-B alleles in the Chinese Yi ethnic group and its association with HIV infection. Methods One hundred and six unrelated healthy HIV negative and 73 HIV positive Chinese Yi ethnic individuals were typed by PCR-SSP. Results The frequency of alleles B*07, B*35, and B*46 were increased in HIV-1-positive subjects, whereas the alleles B*55, B*44 and B*78 were absent in the HIV-infected persons studied. The B*46 allele was present in a significantly higher gene frequency among HIV-1-positive individuals (P=0.02, OR=3.32, 95% CI=1.13-9.78) compared with control subjects. | 3 | LRP6 downregulation promotes cardiomyocyte proliferation and heart regeneration显示文摘The adult mammalian heart is thought to be a terminally differentiated organ given the postmitotic nature of cardiomyocytes.Consequently,the potential for cardiac repair through cardiomyocyte proliferation is extremely limited.Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6(LRP6)is a Wnt co-receptor that is required for embryonic heart development.In this study we investigated the role of LRP6 in heart repair through regulation of cardiomyocyte proliferation.Lrp6 deficiency increased cardiomyocyte cell cycle activity in neonatal,juvenile and adult mice.Cardiomyocyte-specific deletion of Lrp6 in the mouse heart induced a robust regenerative response after myocardial infarction(MI),led to reduced MI area and improvement in left ventricular systolic function.In vivo genetic lineage tracing revealed that the newly formed cardiomyocytes in Lrp6-deficient mouse hearts after MI were mainly derived from resident cardiomyocytes.Furthermore,we found that the pro-proliferative effect of Lrp6 deficiency was mediated by the ING5/P21 signaling pathway.Gene therapy using the adeno-associated virus(AAV)9 miRNAi-Lrp6 construct promoted the repair of heart injury in mice.Lrp6 deficiency also induced the proliferation of human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes(iPSC-CMs).Our study identifies LRP6 as a critical regulator of cardiomyocyte proliferation,which may lead to the development of a novel molecular strategy to promote myocardial regeneration and repair. | Yahan Wu Liping Zhou Hongyu Liu Ran Duan Huixing Zhou Fulei Zhang Xiaoyu He Dongbo Lu Ke Xiong Maolin Xiong Jinzhu Zhuang Yi Liu Li Li Dandan Liang Yi-Han Chen | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,4: | 5 |

| 7 | Effect of SrO Content on Structure,Thermal Properties and Chemical Stability of Bi2O3-B2O3-ZnO-SrO Low-melting Glass for Si-Al Alloy Package显示文摘The 40Bi2O3-30B2O3-(30-x)ZnO-xSrO (x=0-15mol%,BBZSr) glass system was prepared by the conventional melt quenching method.The effect of SrO addition on structure,thermal properties,chemical stability and sealing performance of BBZSr glass were investigated thoroughly.The experimental results show that the total proportions of [BO3] group and [BO4] group decrease and the vibrations of [BiO3] group and [BiO6] group become weaker with the increase of SrO addition content,suggesting the glass network structure is strengthened owing to the SrO addition.Hence,both the thermal and chemical stability were significantly improved as the SrO content was increased.When the SrO content increased from 0 to 15mol%,the glass transition temperature and softening temperature slightly increased from 380 to 388 ℃ and from 392.7 to 402.2 ℃,respectively,meanwhile the coefficient of thermal expansion also increased from 10.49×10^-6 to 11.16×10^-6/℃ (30-300 ℃).The BBZSr glass with 15mol% SrO exhibited excellent comprehensive properties with low glass transition temperature(384.9 ℃),low softening temperature(400.3 ℃),high coefficient of thermal expansion (11.14×10^-6 ℃,30-300 ℃),good thermal and chemical stability.Besides,the glass had the good wetting behavior and sealing performance for Al-50%Si alloy. | WU Zhilun ZHANG Ming ZHANG Chunyan MENG Fancheng LIN Huixing | 2020 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2020,35,2: | 2 |

| 9 | Experimental Investigation of Cutting Nitrogen Oxides Emission from Cement Kilns using Coal Preheating Method显示文摘The large consumption of coal in cement industry leads to a significant nitrogen oxide(NO_(x))emission,which has caused severe atmospheric pollution due to the existing low-efficiency denitration technologies.In this research,a fuel pretreatment method on the concept of coal preheating was proposed to reduce NO_(x)emission from cement kilns.A special bench-scale experiment was designed to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.Experimental results showed that the proposed method could achieve high combustion efficiency,steady operation and low NO_(x)emission.The maximum reduction efficiency of primary NO in kiln gas reached 91.4%while the lowest NO_(x)emission was 145 mg/m^(3)(@10%O_2)during the experiment.The effects of key parameters on NO_(x)emission and primary NO_(x)reduction efficiency were comprehensively investigated.It was found that primary and secondary air ratios determined the oxygen content in the flue gas and the reaction temperature,which multiply affected the fuel-NO_(x)formation and activity of reductants.Increasing the length of the reducing zone could not only enhance the primary NO_(x)reduction efficiency,but also lower the combustion efficiency.In addition,cement raw material could greatly accelerate the formation of fuel-NO_(x)while its catalytic action on NO_(x)reduction was limited. | WU Huixing CAI Jun REN Qiangqiang CAO Xiaoyang LYU Qinggang | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,4: | 2 |
| 10 | Subclinical high altitude pulmonary edema: A clinical observation of 12 cases in Yushu显示文摘During the Yushu Earthquake on April 14,2010,a high incidence of acute high altitude illness was observed in the mountain rescuers,and 0.73 % of these patients suffered from high altitude pulmonary edema,of which 12 patients developed subclinical pulmonary edema and concomitantly contracted acute mountain sickness. Symptoms and signs were atypically high heart rate with high respiratory rate,striking cyanosis,and significantly low oxygen saturation,whereas no moist rates were heard on auscultation,and Chest X-ray showed peripheral with a patchy distribution of mottled infiltrations in one or both lung fields. We believe that subclinical high altitude pulmonary edema is an earliest stage of pulmonary edema at high altitude.
