1Effect of Different Calcium Levels on Growth,Yield and Fruit Quality of Tomatoes in Substrate Culture显示文摘Tomato seedlings were grown in substrate culture with pots. The formulation of Holland Greenhouse Horticulture Research Institute was used(as CK) and the effects of different Ca concentrations(LCa, CK and HCa)on growth, yield, and fruit quality(protein, Vitamin C, nitrates, organic acid and soluble sugar) of tomato were studied keeping concentrations of other nutrients unchanged in the nutrient solution. The results showed that parameters related to the growth of tomato(plant height and Stem diameter), changes of tomato yield per plant and quality of tomato fruits were the highest when the plants were grown at 20% Ca treatments. In the second study, increased EC concentrations of nutrient solution resulted in stronger plants with improved yields and quality. Four different concentration gradients of nutrient solution treatment were designed based on the results of the first research stage(EC=1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5 m S/cm, respectively). The single tomato plant had the highest production which is 2 268.994 g/plant, when the nutrient solution strength was at EC=1.5 m S cm, whereas they have the best fruit quality when the solution strength at EC 4.5 m S/cm. 3Targeting folate receptorβpositive tumor-associated macrophages in lung cancer with a folate-modified liposomal complex显示文摘Tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)facilitate cancer progression by promoting tumor invasion,angiogenesis,metastasis,inflammatory responses,and immunosuppression.Folate receptorβ(FRβ)is overexpressed in TAMs.However,the clinical significance of FRβ-positive macrophages in lung cancer remains poorly understood.In this study,we verified that FRβoverexpression in lung cancer TAMs was associated with poor prognosis.We utilized a folate-modified lipoplex comprising a folatemodified liposome(F-PLP)delivering a BIM-S plasmid to target both lung cancer cells and FRβ-positive macrophages in the tumor microenvironment.Transfection of LL/2 cells and MH-S cells with F-PLP/pBIM induced cell apoptosis.Injection of F-PLP/pBIM into LL/2 and A549 lung cancer models significantly depleted FRβ-positive macrophages and reduced tumor growth.Treatment of tumor-bearing mice with F-PLP/pBIM significantly inhibited tumor growth in vivo by inducing tumor cell and macrophage apoptosis,reducing tumor proliferation,and inhibiting tumor angiogenesis.In addition,a preliminary safety evaluation demonstrated a good safety profile of F-PLP/pBIM as a gene therapy administered intravenously.This work describes a novel application of lipoplexes in lung cancer targeted therapy that influences the tumor microenvironment by targeting TAMs.Yan Tie Heng Zheng Zhiyao He Jingyun Yang Bin Shao Li Liu Min Luo Xia Yuan Yu Liu Xiangxian Zhang Hongyi Li Min Wu Xiawei Wei 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:4
4Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 53D printed triboelectric nanogenerator as self-powered human–machine interactive sensor for breathing-based language expression显示文摘Human–machine interfaces(HMIs)are important windows for a human to communicate with the outside world.The current HMI devices such as cellphones,tablets,and computers can be used to help people with aphasia for language expression.However,these conventional HMI devices are not friendly to some particular groups who also lose their abilities of physical movements like in the intensive care unit(ICU)or vegetative patients to realize language expression.Herein,we report a breath-driven triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)acting as a HMI sensor for language expression through human breathing without voice controls or manual operations.The TENG is integrated within a mask and fabricated via a three-dimensional(3D)printing method.When wearing the mask,the TENG can produce responsive electric signals corresponding to the airflow from breathing,which is capable of recognizing human breathing types with different intensities,lengths,and frequencies.On the basis of the breathing recognition ability,a breathing-based language expressing system is further developed through introducing the Morse code as a communication protocol.Compared with conventional language expressing devices,this system can extract subjective information of a person from breathing behaviors and output corresponding language text,which is not relying on voices or physical movements.This research for the first time introduces the self-powered breathing-based language expressing method to the field of HMI technology by using a 3D printed TENG,and could make HMI interactions become more friendly and fascinating.Pengcheng Zhu Baosen Zhang Hongyi Wang Yiheng Wu Hengjun Cao Liubing He Chaoyue Li Xuepeng Luo Xing Li Yanchao Mao 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:1

7Vibration-based synchronous sampling and its application in wind-turbine drive-train-condition monitoring显示文摘Utilizing shaft-speed information to analyse vibration signals is an important method for fault diagnosis and condition monitoring of rotating machineries,especially for those running at variable speeds.However,in many cases,shaft-speed information is not always available,for a variety of reasons.Fortunately,in most of the measurements,the shaft-speed information is embedded in the vibration response in many different forms,such as in the format of the fundamental shaft-rotation-frequency response and its harmonics,and the gear-meshing-frequency response and its harmonics,etc.Proper signal processing can be used to extract the shaft instantaneous speed from the measured vibration responses.In existing instantaneous shaft-speed-identification methods,a narrow-bandpass filtering technique is used explicitly or implicitly.In a complex gearbox system,such as that used in a wind turbine,the gear-meshing-response component could be modulated by many other shaft speeds,due to the configuration of the gearbox or due to the existence of component damage.As a result,it is very difficult to isolate a single vibration-response component for instantaneous shaft-speed detection.In this paper,an innovative approach is presented.The instantaneous shaft speed is extracted based on maxima tracking from the vibration-response spectrogram.A numerical integration scheme is employed to obtain the shaft instantaneous phase.Digital-domain synchronous resampling is then applied to the vibration data by using the instantaneous phase information.Due to the nature of noise suppression in the numerical integration,the accuracy of synchronous sampling is greatly improved.This proposed approach demonstrates the feasibility and engineering applicability through a controlled laboratory test case and two field wind-turbine cases.More detailed results and conclusions of this research are presented at the end of this paper.Ting Hu Hongyi Wan Huageng Luo 2021Clean Energy2021,5,1:1

9Au nanoclusters anchored on TiO_(2) nanosheets for high-efficiency electroreduction of nitrate to ammonia显示文摘Electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(NO_(3)RR)offers a unique rationale for green NH_(3) synthesis,yet the lack of high-efficiency NO_(3)RR catalysts remains a great challenge.In this work,we show that Au nanoclusters anchored on TiO_(2) nanosheets can efficiently catalyze the conversion of NO_(3)RR-to-NH_(3) under ambient conditions,achieving a maximal Faradic efficiency of 91%,a peak yield rate of 1923μg·h^(-1)·mgcat.-1,and high durability over 10 consecutive cycles,all of which are comparable to the recently reported metrics(including transition metal and noble metal-based catalysts)and exceed those of pristine TiO_(2).Moreover,a galvanic Zn-nitrate battery using the catalyst as the cathode was proposed,which shows a power density of 3.62 mW·cm^(-2) and a yield rate of 452μg·h^(-1)·mgcat.-1.Theoretical simulations further indicate that the atomically dispersed Au clusters can promote the adsorption and activation of NO_(3)-species,and reduce the NO_(3)RR-to-NH_(3) barrier,thus leading to an accelerated cathodic reaction.This work highlights the importance of metal clusters for the NH_(3) electrosynthesis and nitrate removal.Miaosen Yang Tianran Wei Jia He Qian Liu Ligang Feng Hongyi Li Jun Luo Xijun Liu 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
10Finite Element Analysis on Vibration Characteristics of an Offshore Floating Breakwater显示文摘The construction of seaside facilities is a hot topic in the field of ocean engineering.In this paper,a new type of floating breakwater is designed by 3D-CAD geometric modeling.Based on the vibration theory and finite element tech-nology,the floating breakwater model is optimized,and the modal analysis of the structure with the bracket as main body and blades as functional attachments is carried out.Natural frequencies and mode shapes of the blades are fi rst calculated,and the effects of the natural frequencies in both dry and wet conditions are taken into account.Modal analysis and harmonic response analysis of the bracket with different lengths by removing the blades are also carried out,and the different var-iations of the natural frequencies between several bracket units are compared.The responses of the key position of the bracket under different loads and different bracket lengths are analyzed.The influence of liquid on the natural frequency of the blades and the influence of the length of the bracket on the natural fre-quency of the bracket are discussed in the fluid-solid coupling state.Research in this paper provides a data basis for the safety assessment of the breakwater construction.Hongyi Yan Dingguo Zhang Liang Li Xiaoyu Luo 2020Structural Durability & Health Monitoring2020,14,1:0

12Enhanced monopole transition strength from the cluster decay of ^(13)C显示文摘The inelastic excitations and cluster decay of ^(13)C have been measured using the reaction,9Be(^(13)C, ^(13)C* →~9Be + α)~9Be. We observe strong excitation to the 14.3-MeV(1/2-) resonant state from the cluster-decay channel, leading to an enhanced monopole matrix element of(6.3 ± 0.6) fm^2. This large cluster-related monopole strength is a clear indication of the cluster-structure domination of this state and is consistent with the recent prediction of the orthogonality condition model(OCM). 13A metamaterial-free fluid-flow cloak显示文摘The model of ide al fluid flow around a cylindrical obstacle exhibits a long-established physical picture,where originally straight streamlines are deflected over the whole space by the obstacle.Inspired by transformation optics and metamaterials,recent theories have proposed the concept of fluid cloaking,which is able to recover the straight streamlines,as if the obstacle did not exist.However,such a cloak,similar to all previous transformation-optics-based devices,relies on complex metamaterials with inhomogeneous parameters and is difficult to implement.Here we deploy the theory of scattering cancellation and report on the experimental realization of a fluid-flow cloak without metamaterials.This clo ak is realized by engineering the geometry of the fluid channel,which effectively cancels the dipole-like scattering of the obstacle.The clo aking effect is demonstrated through the direct observation of recovered straight streamlines in the fluid flow.Our work sheds new light on conventional fluid control and may find application in microfluidic devices.Fuyang Tay Youming Zhang Hongyi Xu Honghui Goh Yu Luo Baile Zhang 2022National Science Review2022,9,9:0
14Restoration of FMRP expression in adult V1 neurons rescues visual deficits in a mouse model of fragile X syndrome显示文摘Many people affected by fragile X syndrome(FXS)and autism spectrum disorders have sensory processing deficits,such as hypersensitivity to auditory,tactile,and visual stimuli.Like FXS in humans,loss of Fmr1 in rodents also cause sensory,behavioral,and cognitive deficits.However,the neural mechanisms underlying sensory impairment,especially vision impairment,remain unclear.It remains elusive whether the visual processing deficits originate from corrupted inputs,impaired perception in the primary sensory cortex,or altered integration in the higher cortex,and there is no effective treatment.In this study,we used a genetic knockout mouse model(Fmr1^(KO)),in vivo imaging,and behavioral measurements to show that the loss of Fmr1 impaired signal processing in the primary visual cortex(V1).Specifically,Fmr1^(KO) mice showed enhanced responses to low-intensity stimuli but normal responses to high-intensity stimuli.This abnormality was accompanied by enhancements in local network connectivity in V1 microcircuits and increased dendritic complexity of V1 neurons.These effects were ameliorated by the acute application of GABAA receptor activators,which enhanced the activity of inhibitory neurons,or by reintroducing Fmr1 gene expression in knockout V1 neurons in both juvenile and young-adult mice.Overall,V1 plays an important role in the visual abnormalities of Fmr1^(KO) mice and it could be possible to rescue the sensory disturbances in developed FXS and autism patients.Chaojuan Yang Yonglu Tian Feng Su Yangzhen Wang Mengna Liu Hongyi Wang Yaxuan Cui Peijiang Yuan Xiangning Li Anan Li Hui Gong Qingming Luo Desheng Zhu Peng Cao Yunbo Liu Xunli Wang Min-hua Luo Fuqiang Xu Wei Xiong Liecheng Wang Xiang-yao Li Chen Zhang 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,3:0
15Heterogeneous optomechanical crystal cavity coupled by a wavelength-scale mechanical waveguide显示文摘Integrated optomechanical crystal(OMC)cavities provide a vital device prototype for highly efficient microwave to optical conversion in quantum information processing.In this work,we propose a novel heterogeneous OMC cavity consisting of a thin-film lithium niobate(TFLN)slab and chalcogenide(ChG)photonic crystal nanobeam coupled by a wavelength-scale mechanical waveguide.The optomechanical coupling rate of the heterogeneous OMC cavity is optimized up to 340 kHz at 1.1197 GHz.Combined with phononic band and power decomposition,17.38%energy from the loaded RF power is converted into dominant fundamental horizontal shear mode(SH0)in the narrow LN mechanical waveguide.Based on this fraction,as a result,3.51%power relative to the loaded RF energy is scattered into the fundamental longitudinal mode(L0)facing the TFLN-ChG heterogeneous waveguide.The acoustic breathing mode of the heterogeneous OMC is successfully excited under the driving of the propagating L0 mode in the heterogeneous waveguide,demonstrating the great potentials of the heterogeneous piezo-optomechanical transducer in high-performance photon–phonon interaction fields.YANG LUO HONGYI HUANG LEI WAN WEIPING LIU ZHAOHUI LI 2023Photonics Research2023,11,9:0
16Characteristics and main controlling factors of helium resources in the main petroliferous basins of the North China Craton显示文摘At present, the main controlling factors of helium accumulation is one of the key scientific problems restricting the exploration and development of helium reservoir. In this paper, based on the calculation results of He generation rate and the geochemical characteristics of the produced gas, both the similarities and differences between natural gas and He resources in the Bohai Bay, Ordos and the surrounding Songliao Basin are compared and analyzed, discussing the main controlling factors of helium resources in the three main petroliferous basins of the North China Craton. It is found that the three basins of Bohai Bay, Ordos and Songliao have similar characteristics of source rocks, reservoirs and cap rocks, that's why their methane resource characteristics are essentially the same. The calculated ~4He generation per cubic metamorphic crystalline basement in the three basins is roughly equivalent, which is consistent with the measured He resources, and it is believed that the ~4He of radiogenic from the crust is the main factor controlling the overall He accumulation in the three basins;there is almost no contribution of the mantle-derived CH_4, which suggests that the transport and uplift of mantle-derived ~3He carried by the present-day magmatic activities along the deep-large faults is not the main reason for the mantle-derived ~3He mixing in the basins. Combined with the results of regional volcanic and geophysical studies,it is concluded that under the background of the destruction of North China Craton, magma intrusion carried a large amount of mantle-derived material and formed basic volcanic rocks in the Bohai Bay Basin and Songliao Basin, which replenished mantle-derived ~3He for the interior of the basins, and that strong seismic activities in and around the basins also promoted the upward migration of mantle source ~3He. 17Aromatic compounds-mediated synthesis of anatase-free hierarchical TS-1 zeolite:Exploring design strategies via machine learning and enhanced catalytic performance显示文摘Simultaneous achievement of constructing mesopores and eliminating anatase is a long-term pursuit for enhancing the catalytic performance of TS-1.Here,we developed an aromatic compounds-mediated synthesis method to prepare anatase-free and hierarchical TS-1 for olefin epoxidation.A series of hierarchical TS-1 zeolites were prepared by introducing aromatic compounds containing different functional groups via the crystallization process.The formation of intercrystalline mesopores and insertion of titanium into framework were facilitated at different extent.The synergistic coordination of carboxyl and hydroxyl in aromatic compounds with Ti(OH)4 realizes the uniform distribution of titanium species and eliminates the generation of anatase.Noteworthily,eight machine learning models were trained to reveal the mechanism of additive functional groups and preparation conditions on anatase formation and microstructure optimization.The prediction accuracy of most models can reach more than 80%.Benefiting from the larger mesopore volumes(0.37 cm3⋅g−1)and higher content of framework Ti species,TS-DHBDC-48h samples exhibit a higher catalytic performance than other zeolites,giving 1-hexene conversion of 49.3%and 1,2-epoxyhenane selectivity of 99.9%.The paper provides a facile aromatic compounds-mediated synthesis strategy and promotes the application of machine learning toward the design and optimization of new zeolites.Chang’an Wang Guoqing An Jing Lin Xiaowei Zhang Zhiyuan Liu Yibin Luo Siqi Liu Zhixiang Cheng Tingting Guo Hongyi Gao Ge Wang Xingtian Shu 2023Aggregate2023,4,4:0
18A neutrophil-biomimic platform for eradicating metastatic breast cancer stem-like cells by redox microenvironment modulation and hypoxia-triggered differentiation therapy显示文摘Metastasis accounts for 90%of breast cancer deaths,where the lethality could be attributed to the poor drug accumulation at the metastatic loci.The tolerance to chemotherapy induced by breast cancer stem cells(BCSCs)and their particular redox microenvironment further aggravate the therapeutic dilemma.To be specific,therapy-resistant BCSCs can differentiate into heterogeneous tumor cells constantly,and simultaneously dynamic maintenance of redox homeostasis promote tumor cells to retro-differentiate into stem-like state in response to cytotoxic chemotherapy.Herein,we develop a specifically-designed biomimic platform employing neutrophil membrane as shell to inherit a neutrophil-like tumor-targeting capability,and anchored chemotherapeutic and BCSCs-differentiating reagents with nitroimidazole(NI)to yield two hypoxia-responsive prodrugs,which could be encapsulated into a polymeric nitroimidazole core.The platform can actively target the lung metastasis sites of triple negative breast cancer(TNBC),and release the escorted drugs upon being triggered by the hypoxia microenvironment.During the responsiveness,the differentiating agent could promote transferring BCSCs into non-BCSCs,and simultaneously the nitroimidazole moieties conjugated on the polymer and prodrugs could modulate the tumor microenvironment by depleting nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate hydrogen(NADPH)and amplifying intracellular oxidative stress to prevent tumor cells retro-differentiation into BCSCs.In combination,the BCSCs differentiation and tumor microenvironment modulation synergistically could enhance the chemotherapeutic cytotoxicity,and remarkably suppress tumor growth and lung metastasis.Hopefully,this work can provide a new insight in to comprehensively treat TNBC and lung metastasis using a versatile platform.Yongchao Chu Yifan Luo Boyu Su Chao Li Qin Guo Yiwen Zhang Peixin Liu Hongyi Chen Zhenhao Zhao Zheng Zhou Yu Wang Chen Jiang Tao Sun 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,1:0
