Double detonation drivers for a shock tube/tunnel显示文摘ARecent progress on detonation drivers is reviewed. Performances of the forward detonation driver and backward detonation driver have been observed. To eliminate occurrence of a Taylor wave following the detonation wave in the primary driver and to improve the performance of the detonation driver, an additional backward detonation driver was proposed to attach to the end of the forward detonation driver. When the ratio of the initial pressures between the additional and the primary drivers becomes larger than or equal to a critical value, the Taylor wave will disappear, and thus a homogeneous driving gas with high pressure and high temperature can be generated. Furthermore, an over-driving detonation wave will be also obtained, which can increase the driving capability. | CHEN Hong FENG Heng YU Hongru | 2004 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2004,47,4: | 4
LIN28 coordinately promotes nucleolar/ribosomal functions and represses the 2C-like transcriptional program in pluripotent stem cells显示文摘LIN28 is an RNA binding protein with important roles in early embryo development, stem cell differentiation/re-programming,tumorigenesis and metabolism.Previous studies have focused mainly on its role in the cytosol where it interacts with Let-7 microRNA precursors or mRNAs,and few have addressed LIN28's role within the nucleus. Here,we show that LIN28 displays dynamic temporal and spatial expression during murine embryo development.Maternal LIN28 expression drops upon exit from the 2-cell stage, and zygotic LIN28 protein is induced at the forming nucleolus during 4-cell to blas-tocyst stage development,to become dominantly expressed in the cytosol after implantation. In cultured pluripotent stem cells(PSCs),loss of LIN28 led to nucleolar stress and activation of a 2-cell/4-cell-like transcriptional program characterized by the expression of endogenous retrovirus genes.Mechanistically,LIN28 binds to small nucleolar RNAs and rRNA to maintain nucleolar integrity, and its loss leads to nucleolar phase separation defects, ribosomal stress and activation of P53 which in turn binds to and activates 2C transcription factor Dux.LIN28 also resides in a complex containing the nucleolar factor Nucleolin(NCL)and the transcrip-tional repressor TRIM28,and LIN28 loss leads to reduced occupancy of the NCL/TRIM28 complex on the Dux and rDNA loci, and thus de-repressed Dux and reduced rRNA expression.Lin28 knockout cells with nucleolar stress are more likely to assume a slowly cycling, translationally inert and anabolically inactive state, which is a part of previously unappreciated 2C-like transcriptional program. These findings elucidate novel roles for nucleolar LIN28 in PSCs,and a new mechanism linking 2C program and nucleolar functions in PSCs and early embryo development. | Zhen Sun Hua Yu Jing Zhao Tianyu Tan Hongru Pan Yuqing Zhu Lang Chen Cheng Zhang Li Zhang Anhua Lei Yuyan Xu Xianju Bi Xin Huang Bo Gao Longfei Wang Cristina Correia Ming Chen Qiming Sun Yu Feng Li Shen Hao Wu Jianlong Wang Xiaohua Shen George Q.Daley Hu Li Jin Zhang | 2022 | Protein & Cell2022,13,7: | 4

A potent PGK1 antagonist reveals PGK1 regulates the production of IL-1βand IL-6显示文摘Glycolytic metabolism enzymes have been implicated in the immunometabolism field through changes in metabolic status. PGK1 is a catalytic enzyme in the glycolytic pathway. Here, we set up a high-throughput screen platform to identify PGK1 inhibitors. DC-PGKI is an ATPcompetitive inhibitor of PGK1 with an affinity of Kd= 99.08 nmol/L. DC-PGKI stabilizes PGK1in vitro and in vivo, and suppresses both glycolytic activity and the kinase function of PGK1. In addition,DC-PGKI unveils that PGK1 regulates production of IL-1β and IL-6 in LPS-stimulated macrophages.Mechanistically, inhibition of PGK1 with DC-PGKI results in NRF2(nuclear factor-erythroid factor 2-related factor 2, NFE2L2) accumulation, then NRF2 translocates to the nucleus and binds to the proximity region of Il-1β and Il-6 genes, and inhibits LPS-induced expression of these genes. DC-PGKI ameliorates colitis in the dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis mouse model. These data support PGK1 as a regulator of macrophages and suggest potential utility of PGK1 inhibitors in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. | Liping Liao Wenzhen Dang Tingting Lin Jinghua Yu Tonghai Liu Wen Li Senhao Xiao Lei Feng Jing Huang Rong Fu Jiacheng Li Liping Liu Mingchen Wang Hongru Tao Hualiang Jiang Kaixian Chen Xingxing Diao Bing Zhou Xiaoyan Shen Cheng Luo | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,11: | 2
Intracellular pH-responsive iron-catechin nanoparticles with osteogenic/anti-adipogenic and immunomodulatory effects for efficient bone repair显示文摘Osteoimmunomodulation was identified as a new and important strategy to enhance osteogenic differentiation together with other osteogenic approaches. However, approaches regulating osteogenic differentiation and macrophage polarization to remodel an osteoinductive microenvironment are separate and complicated. Therefore, the design and synthesis of one biomaterial that couples the osteogenic performance and immunomodulatory ability is a major challenge for efficient bone repair. In this study,self-assembled iron-catechin nanoparticles(Fe-cat NPs)were designed based on the coordinated reaction between iron ions and catechin and synthesized via a facile one-pot strategy.Interestingly,Fe-cat NPs show intracellular pH-responsive disassembly and release catechin molecules under the low pH of lysosomes after endocytosis. This strategy delivers catechin intracellularly and then enhances the osteogenic differentiation while inhibits the adipogenic differentiation of human adipose-derived stem cells(hADSCs).More importantly,Fe-cat NPs remodel the osteogenic immune microenvironment by resisting inflammation and promoting M2 polarization of macrophages. As a promising metal-organic nanodrug, the intracellular pH-responsive Fe-cat NPs significantly enhance the therapeutic effect of bone regneration by orchestrating osteogenic differentiation and immunomodulation, which may have great potential in bone tissue engineering. | Ying Kong Feng Liu Baojin Ma Wenhan Wang Liang Li Xiaoying Xu Zhaoyang Sun Hongru Yang Yuanhua Sang Dong Li Gang Li Chao Liu Shuhua Wang Hong Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,2: | 1
Applications of ambient electric arc ionization mass spectrometry in saline samples显示文摘Salinity tolerance of ambient electric arc ionization(AEAI)was evaluated by comparing electrospray ionization for various samples at NaCl concentrations from 0 to 1000 mmol/L.AEAI-mass spectrometry(AEAI-MS)exhibited an excellent signal intensity even at NaCl concentrations of 1000 mmol/L,while the ESI-MS had no signal because high salinity has a strong inhibitory effect on analytes. The sodium adduct was verified using LiCl instead of NaCl.AEAI-MS successfully quantified saline samples with an excellent quantitative ability(R^(2)≥0.998).We also achieved some analytical samples in the buffer solution at a very high concentration and even in a saturated salt solution.Overall,AEAI-MS has protonated ions for most target analytes. In addition, the relationship between auxiliary temperature and the distance from the sample to the arc was investigated, and the results indicated that thermal desorption plays an important role in AEAI source. | Yuan Li Yuanji Gao Binpeng Zhan Weiwei Chen Fengjian Chu Hongru Feng Zhan Gao Zihan Ma Yuanjiang Pan | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,5: | 1

High performance removal of sulfamethoxazole using large specific area of biochar derived from corncob xylose residue显示文摘To remove antibiotics from waste water,an alkali active porous biochar,850BC,was prepared from corncob xylose residue. In preparation,NaOH dipping was used for silicon removal and KOH activation was operated at 850℃.Further characterization containing BET,SEM,and FTIR were confirmed.850BC possessed a huge specific surface area of 3043 m^(2)·g^(−1),developed pore structure and abundant oxygen functional groups. The adsorption performance of sulfamethoxazole on 850BC was quick and efficient, and the adsorption capacity reached 1429 mg·g^(−1),which was significantly higher than other adsorbents reported previously. While pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir model could better describe the adsorption,chemisorp-tion dominated the SMX adsorption onto 850BC.In virtue of pore-filling andπ-πinteraction as major mechanism,a large surface area and rich oxygen-containing functional groups led to an excellent adsorption performance. Thus, this preparation method provided a biochar-based adsorbent with enhanced specific surface for efficient removal of antibiotic pollutants. | Yinxue Li Hongru Shang Yongna Cao Chunhui Yang Yujie Feng Yanling Yu | 2022 | Biochar2022,4,1: | 1

In Situ Analysis of Tobacco Leaves Based on Microwave Plasma Torch Desorption Ionization Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Tobacco is an important economic crop worldwide.Tobacco leaves contain a large number of natural products. Therefore, the analysis of tobacco composition is crucial for the control of tobacco safety and quality assessment.Microwave plasma torch desorption ionization mass spectrometry(MPT-MS) is an emerging ambient mass spectrometry(AMS) technique that can be used for rapid real-time analysis of s amples without pretreatment. Our work focuses on the chemical composition analysis of tobacco using MPT-MS,and 14 compounds were detected in green flue-cured tobacco leaves, while 30 compounds were detected in cured flue-cured tobacco leaves, which confirms that curing can enhance the flavor of cigarettes.Furthermore,we successfully in situ identified characteristic fragment ions of α/β-CBD(α/β-cembranoids),an important aroma compound in tobacco by MPT-MS.The results demonstrate the capability of MPT-MS for in situ analysis of tobacco components and its potential for evaluating tobacco quality. | He Tang Yonggang Zhang Zhiguang Reng Junchen Zhu Yue Xie Xiaobin Zhang Hongru Feng Kailong Yuan Yuanjiang Pan | 2024 | Journal of Analysis and Testing2024,8,1: | 0
