1Shape anisotropic Fe3O4 nanotubes for efficient microwave absorption显示文摘Although Fe3O4 particles have exhibited excellent microwave absorbing capacity and widely used in practical application due to the synergistic effect of magnetic loss and dielectric loss,their applications are still limited for the required high mass fraction in absorbers.To overcome this problem,the development of Fe3O4 materials with low dimensional structures is necessary.In this study,the shape anisotropic Fe3O4 nanotubes(NTs)with low mass ratios were applied to realize efficient microwave absorption.The NTs with different aspect ratios were prepared through facile electrospinning followed by two-step thermal treatments and mechanical shearing.The cross-linked nanotubular structure enabled the absorbers to have much higher electrical conductivity,multiple scattering,polarization relaxation and better anti-reflection surface,while the shape anisotropic NTs maintained significant multiple resonances with stronger coercivity.These all were beneficial to microwave absorption with enhanced dielectric loss,magnetic loss and sterling impedance matching.Results showed that the absorber with 33.3 wt.%of short Fe3O4 NTs had minimum reflection loss of-58.36 dB at 17.32 GHz with a thickness of 1.27 mm,and had the maximum effective absorbing bandwidth(EAB)of 5.27 GHz when the thickness was 1.53 mm.The absorber with 14.3 wt.%of long Fe3O4 NTs presented the widest EAB in certain radar band with attenuated 80.75%X band and 85%Ku band energy bellow-10 dB at the thickness of 2.65 and 1.53 mm,respectively.This study provided an approach for the development of shape anisotropic magnetic absorbing materials,and broadened their practical applications as magnetic absorbers.Jialiang Pan Honggui Guo Min Wang Hui Yang Haowen Hu Peng Liu Hongwei Zhu 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:8

3Mutation induction of Pleurotus ferulae by low-energy N^+ ion implantation and characters of the selected mutant显示文摘In order to obtain Pleurotus ferulae with high temperature tolerance, mycelium mono-cells of wild type strain ACK was treated by nitrogen ion (5~30 keV, 1.5×1015~1.5×1016 cm-2) implantation, and mutant CGMCC1762 was selected through auxotrophy screening method, which was Lys, VB6 auxotrophy stress with high temperature. We found that during riper period the surface layer mycelium of the mutant was not aging neither grew tegument even above 30°C. The mycelium endurable temperature of the mutant was increased 7°C compared with that of the wild type strain. The fruiting bodies growth temperature of the mutant was 16~20°C in daytime and was 6~12°C at night. The highest growth temperature of fruiting bodies of the mutant was increased by 5°C than that of original strain. 4A new method for evaluating the drought tolerance of upland rice cultivars显示文摘Worldwide, approximately 27 million ha of rice are grown in upland rather than paddy fields, and is subject to drought stress. To counter this stress, it is desirable to breed new rice cultivars with improved drought tolerance. For breeding purposes, especially for breeding upland rice, it is desirable to develop a simple and accurate method to evaluate rice drought tolerance. We describe a new method that can be used to evaluate efficiently the drought tolerance degree(DTD) of upland rice cultivars, and call it the DTD method.DTD is defined as the mean of the ratios of green leaf length to total leaf length of the top three leaves in every rice seedling after drought treatment, and thus takes values from zero to one. To test whether the DTD method works effectively to evaluate drought tolerance of upland rice cultivars, we determined the DTD values of 13 upland rice cultivars showing varying degrees of drought tolerance in drought-tolerance trials. The idrl-1 mutant, which displayed the strongest drought tolerance of the 13 cultivars as identified by drought-tolerance trials under severe drought stress, had the highest DTD value and297-28, displaying the weakest drought tolerance, had the lowest DTD value. Further analyses of water potential, survival rate, panicles per plant, spikelets per panicle, seed setting rate, yield per plant, and contents of proline, chlorophyll, and malondialdehyde(MDA) indicated that DTD values are in general correlated with the values of these traits,making this new method useful for assessing the drought tolerance of upland rice cultivars.These results show that the DTD method is a simple, direct and relatively accurate evaluation method for drought-tolerance breeding of upland rice.Xiaofeng Zu Yanke Lu Qianqian Wang Peifeng Chu Wei Miao Huaqi Wang Honggui La 2017The Crop Journal2017,5,6:5
5Data-driven intelligent monitoring system for key variables in wastewater treatment process显示文摘In wastewater treatment process(WWTP), the accurate and real-time monitoring values of key variables are crucial for the operational strategies. However, most of the existing methods have difficulty in obtaining the real-time values of some key variables in the process. In order to handle this issue, a data-driven intelligent monitoring system, using the soft sensor technique and data distribution service, is developed to monitor the concentrations of effluent total phosphorous(TP) and ammonia nitrogen(NH_4-N). In this intelligent monitoring system, a fuzzy neural network(FNN) is applied for designing the soft sensor model, and a principal component analysis(PCA) method is used to select the input variables of the soft sensor model. Moreover, data transfer software is exploited to insert the soft sensor technique to the supervisory control and data acquisition(SCADA) system. 6Robust optimal control for anaerobic-anoxic-oxic reactors显示文摘Anaerobic-anoxic-oxic(A_2O) reactors, as the core parts of wastewater treatment process(WWTP), have attracted considerable attention to achieve the reliability of denitrification and dephosphorization. However, it is difficult to realize the optimal operation of A_2O reactors due to the existence of nonlinear dynamics and large uncertainties. To solve this problem, a robust optimal control(ROC) strategy is developed to improve the operation performance of A_2O reactors. First, data-driven systematic evaluation criteria are developed to describe the operational indicators of changeable conditions. Second, a robust optimization algorithm is designed to select the optimal solution. Third, a fuzzy neural network(FNN) is used to track the optimal solution in the control process. Finally, this proposed ROC strategy is applied to the phosphorus removal benchmark simulation model(BSM1-P) and the real A_2O reactors. 7Dynamic multi-objective differential evolution algorithm based on the information of evolution progress显示文摘The multi-objective differential evolution(MODE)algorithm is an effective method to solve multi-objective optimization problems.However,in the absence of any information of evolution progress,the optimization strategy of the MODE algorithm still appears as an open problem.In this paper,a dynamic multi-objective differential evolution algorithm,based on the information of evolution progress(DMODE-IEP),is developed to improve the optimization performance.The main contributions of DMODE-IEP are as follows.First,the information of evolution progress,using the fitness values,is proposed to describe the evolution progress of MODE.Second,the dynamic adjustment mechanisms of evolution parameter values,mutation strategies and selection parameter value based on the information of evolution progress,are designed to balance the global exploration ability and the local exploitation ability.Third,the convergence of DMODE-IEP is proved using the probability theory.Finally,the testing results on the standard multi-objective optimization problem and the wastewater treatment process verify that the optimization effect of DMODE-IEP algorithm is superior to the other compared state-of-the-art multi-objective optimization algorithms,including the quality of the solutions,and the optimization speed of the algorithm.HOU Ying WU YiLin LIU Zheng HAN HongGui WANG Pu 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,8:3
8Glycolysis in the control of blood glucose homeostasis显示文摘Glycolysis,a simple pathway of glucose metabolism,critically regulates insulin secretion and metabolic functions of various cells.Depending on cell types,rates of glycolysis are determined at various steps of glycolysis that are subjected to the control of key metabolic and regulatory enzyme(S),which include glucokinase,6-phosphofructo-I-kinase,and 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase.These enzymes are regulated by both nutritional and hormonal signals at the levels of transcription,translation,and post-translational modifications.In hepatocytes,glycolysis is involved in the control of hepatic glucose production.The latter,when excessive,contributes to hyperglycemia in diabetes.In pancreatic β cells,glycolysis couples glucose-stimulated insulin secretion.Absolute or relatively low levels of circulating insulin causes hyperglycemia.In adipocytes,glycolysis generates metabolites for lipogenesis and channels fatty acids from excessive oxidation to triglyceride synthesis,thereby reducing oxidative stress.With increased proinflammatory status,adipocytes produce pro-hyperglycemic factors and bring about hyperglycemia and insulin resistance.In hypotha lamic neurons,glycolysis conveys nutrient sensing that is related to feeding control.Dysregulation of glycolysis occurs in conditions of insulin deficiency or resistance,and is attributable to inappropriate amount and/or activities of metabolic and regulatory enzymes of glycolysis.Targeting key metabolic and regulatory enzymes to enhance glycolysis may offer viable approaches for treatment of diabetes.Xin Guo Honggui Li Hang Xu Shihlung Woo Hui Dong Fuer Lu Alex J.Lange Chaodong Wu 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,4:3
9A data-derived soft-sensor method for monitoring effluent total phosphorus显示文摘The effluent total phosphorus(ETP) is an important parameter to evaluate the performance of wastewater treatment process(WWTP). In this study, a novel method, using a data-derived soft-sensor method, is proposed to obtain the reliable values of ETP online. First, a partial least square(PLS) method is introduced to select the related secondary variables of ETP based on the experimental data. Second, a radial basis function neural network(RBFNN) is developed to identify the relationship between the related secondary variables and ETP. This RBFNN easily optimizes the model parameters to improve the generalization ability of the soft-sensor. Finally, a monitoring system, based on the above PLS and RBFNN, named PLS-RBFNN-based soft-sensor system, is developed and tested in a real WWTP. 10A time-dependent numerical model of the mild-slope equation显示文摘On the basis of the previous studies, the simplest hyperbolic mild-slope equation has been gained and the linear time-dependent numerical model for the water wave propagation has been established combined with different boundary conditions. Through computing the effective surface displacement and transforming into the real transient wave motion, related wave factors will be calculated. Compared with Lin’s model, analysis shows that calculation stability of the present model is enhanced efficiently, because the truncation errors of this model are only contributed by the dissipation terms, but those of Lin’s model are induced by the convection terms, dissipation terms and source terms. The tests show that the present model succeeds the merit in Lin’s model and the computational program is simpler, the computational time is shorter, and the computational stability is enhanced efficiently. The present model has the capability of simulating transient wave motion by correctly predicting at the speed of wave propagation, which is important for the real-time forecast of the arrival time of surface waves generated in the deep sea. The model is validated against analytical solution for wave diffraction and experimental data for combined wave refraction and diffraction over a submerged elliptic shoal on a slope. Good agreements are obtained. 12Adaptive candidate estimation-assisted multi-objective particle swarm optimization显示文摘The selection of global best(Gbest) exerts a high influence on the searching performance of multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm(MOPSO). The candidates of MOPSO in external archive are always estimated to select Gbest. However,in most estimation methods, the candidates are considered as the Gbest in a fixed way, which is difficult to adapt to varying evolutionary requirements for balance between convergence and diversity of MOPSO. To deal with this problem, an adaptive candidate estimation-assisted MOPSO(ACE-MOPSO) is proposed in this paper. First, the evolutionary state information,including both the global dominance information and global distribution information of non-dominated solutions, is introduced to describe the evolutionary states to extract the evolutionary requirements. Second, an adaptive candidate estimation method,based on two evaluation distances, is developed to select the excellent leader for balancing convergence and diversity during the dynamic evolutionary process. Third, a leader mutation strategy, using the elite local search(ELS), is devised to select Gbest to improve the searching ability of ACE-MOPSO. Fourth, the convergence analysis is given to prove the theoretical validity of ACE-MOPSO. Finally, this proposed algorithm is compared with popular algorithms on twenty-four benchmark functions. 13Mobile phone recognition method based on bilinear convolutional neural network显示文摘Model recognition of second-hand mobile phones has been considered as an essential process to improve the efficiency of phone recycling. However, due to the diversity of mobile phone appearances, it is difficult to realize accurate recognition. To solve this problem, a mobile phone recognition method based on bilinear-convolutional neural network(B-CNN) is proposed in this paper.First, a feature extraction model, based on B-CNN, is designed to adaptively extract local features from the images of secondhand mobile phones. Second, a joint loss function, constructed by center distance and softmax, is developed to reduce the interclass feature distance during the training process. Third, a parameter downscaling method, derived from the kernel discriminant analysis algorithm, is introduced to eliminate redundant features in B-CNN. 14A decomposing technique for scheelite concentrate and low-grade scheelite concentrate显示文摘The effect of different decomposition conditions on tungsten recovery for scheelite concentrate has been examined. 15A sludge volume index (SVI) model based on the multivariate local quadratic polynomial regression method显示文摘In this study, a multivariate local quadratic polynomial regression(MLQPR) method is proposed to design a model for the sludge volume index(SVI). In MLQPR, a quadratic polynomial regression function is established to describe the relationship between SVI and the relative variables, and the important terms of the quadratic polynomial regression function are determined by the significant test of the corresponding coefficients. Moreover, a local estimation method is introduced to adjust the weights of the quadratic polynomial regression function to improve the model accuracy. Finally, the proposed method is applied to predict the SVI values in a real wastewater treatment process(WWTP). 16Enhancement in Activity of a Vanadium Catalyst for the Oxidation of Sulfur Dioxide by Radio Frequency Plasma During the Preparation Process显示文摘Radio frequency plasma was used to prepare a vanadium catalyst. The results showed that activating time of the catalyst could be shortened quickly and the catalytic activity was improved to some extent with the use of plasma. Catalyst Ls-9 was prepared under an optimal condition of 40 W discharge power, 10 min discharge time and 8 Pa gas pressure. The catalytic activity was up to 54.7% at 410 ℃,which was 2.2% higher than that of the Ls-8 catalyst. Only 10 min was needed to activate the catalyst with plasma, which was 1/9 of the traditional calcination time. For Ls-9, both the endothermic as well as the exothermic peaks detected by differential thermal analysis shifted to higher temperatures obviously,indicating that its crystal phase could melt easily. There existed an apparent endothermic peak at 283 ℃. SEM photographs showed a uniform size distribution. 19Activity Enhancement of Vanadium Catalysts with Ultrasonic Preparation Process for the Oxidation of Sulfur Dioxide显示文摘The effect of ultrasonic cavitations on the activity of vanadium catalysts at low temperatures for the oxidation of sulfur dioxide, in which refined carbonized mother liquor had been added, was investigated.Twenty minutes were needed to produce obvious cavitations when the catalyst raw material was treated in the 50 W ultrasonic generator. However, only 10 minutes would be needed in a 150 W ultrasonic generator.The higher the temperature of the wet material, the less time was needed to produce cavitations, and the optimal temperature was 60 ℃. The water content in the wet material mainly affected the quantity of cavitations. Ls-8 catalyst was prepared using ultrasonic. Its activity for conversion of SO2 reached to 52.5% at 410 ℃ and 4.2% at 350 ℃.
