| 1 | Mechanical properties of gangue-containing aluminosilicate based cementitious materials显示文摘High performance aluminosilicate based cementitious materials were produced using calcined gangue as one of the majorraw materials. The gangue was calcined at 500°C. The main constituent was calcined gangue, fly ash and slag, while alkali-silicatesolutions were used as the diagenetic agent. The structure of gangue-containing aluminosilicate based cementitious materials wasstudied by the methods of IR, NMR and SEM. The results show that the mechanical properties are affected by the mass ratio betweenthe gangue, slag and fly ash, the kind of activator and additional salt. For 28-day curing time, the compressive strength of the samplewith a mass proportion of 2:1:1 (gangue: slag: fly ash) is 58.9 MPa, while the compressive strength of the sample containing 80wt%gangue can still be up to 52.3 MPa. The larger K+ favors the formation of large silicate oligomers with which Al(OH)4? prefers to bind.Therefore, in Na-K compounding activator solutions more oligomers exist which result in a stronger compressive strength of alumino-silicate-based cementitious materials than in the case of Na-containing activator. The reasons for this were found through IR and NMRanalysis. | 2 | Effect of phase separation structure on cementitious reactivity of blast furnace slag显示文摘Blast furnace slag samples with phase separation structure were prepared by re-melting and then water quenching process. By use of XRD,DTA and SEM technologies in combination with mechanical property experiment,the structure characteristics of samples were determined and their effects on cementitious reactivity were investigated. The results show that the samples with phase separation have better cementitious reactivity than sample with homogenous glass and sample with crystalline phases,which mainly contributes to its glass structure with coexistence of Ca-O rich phase and Si-O rich phase. | 3 | A new method to evaluate the hydraulic activity of Al-Si materials显示文摘Slag,fly ash,gangue and 500℃ calcined gangue are analyzed by using identical coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP),X-ray photoelectron spec-troscopy (XPS),infrared spectroscopy (IR) and magnetic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR). Research results show that there is a negative linear relationship between the Si 2p and Al 2p binding energies of Al-Si materials and the compressive strength of aluminosilicate based cementitious materials prepared with these Al-Si materials,i.e. the lower the binding energies,the higher the compressive strength. Indeed,the Si 2p and Al 2p binding energies of Al-Si materials can be used to indicate their hydraulic activity. The binding energies of the four examined materials increase in the order of slag,fly ash,500℃ calcined gangue and untreated gangue. Moreover,the binding energies of Si 2p,Al 2p and O 1s of every Al-Si material have excellent correlation. By using the Al 2p binding energy and 27Al MAS NMR spectra,the coordination number of aluminum in slag is determined to be four,while that in gangue,is six. | 5 | Dissolution properties of calcined gangue显示文摘To study the dissolution mechanism of gangue, dissolution characteristics of the gangue samples calcined at different temperatures in alkaline solutions and alkali metal silicate solutions with respect to Si and Al ions were analyzed by identical coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP). The results show that the extent of dissolution of Al and Si varies with calcination temperature. It shows that the samples have a higher degree of dissolution in NaOH than in KOH medium. Si and Al appear to have synchro-dissolution behavior in alkaline solution, which means that Si and Al could dissolve from the mineral surface in certain linked forms. | 6 | Mechanism of phase separation in BFS (blast furnace slag) glass phase显示文摘XRD,TEM,ED,and NMR analyzed four types of blast furnace slags (BFS) with different structures in this paper. The composition requirement for phase separation in BFS glass phase was then put forward,that is the composition of slag locates in the coexisting phase region of melilite and any silicate mineral with Q0 units. The special structure of melilite units,a 5-membered ring with high degree of polymerization (DOP),plays a key role in the formation of phase separation.
